²² I will also turn My face from them, and they shall profane My secret place; and robbers shall enter into it, and profane it.

¹¹ He hath said in his heart: 'God hath forgotten; He hideth His face; He will never see.'

²² Thou hast seen, O LORD; keep not silence; O Lord, be not far from me.

¹⁰ How long, O God, shall the adversary reproach? Shall the enemy blaspheme Thy name for ever? ¹¹ Why withdrawest Thou Thy hand, even Thy right hand? Draw it out of Thy bosom and consume them.

¹⁸ Remember this, how the enemy hath reproached the LORD, and how a base people have blasphemed Thy name. ¹⁹ O deliver not the soul of Thy turtle-dove unto the wild beast; forget not the life of Thy poor for ever. ²⁰ Look upon the covenant; for the dark places of the land are full of the habitations of violence. ²¹ O let not the oppressed turn back in confusion; let the poor and needy praise Thy name. ²² Arise, O God, plead Thine own cause; remember Thy reproach all the day at the hand of the base man. ²³ Forget not the voice of Thine adversaries, the tumult of those that rise up against Thee which ascendeth continually.

¹⁷ I will scatter them as with an east wind before the enemy; I will look upon their back, and not their face, in the day of their calamity.

²³ And the nations shall know that the house of Israel went into captivity for their iniquity, because they broke faith with Me, and I hid My face from them; so I gave them into the hand of their adversaries, and they fell all of them by the sword. ²⁴ According to their uncleanness and according to their transgressions did I unto them; and I hid My face from them.
