²³ Yet, LORD, Thou knowest all their counsel against me to slay me; forgive not their iniquity, neither blot out their sin from Thy sight; but let them be made to stumble before Thee; Deal Thou with them in the time of Thine anger.

⁸ And I will cleanse them from all their iniquity, whereby they have sinned against Me; and I will pardon all their iniquities, whereby they have sinned against Me, and whereby they have transgressed against Me.

⁴² We have transgressed and have rebelled; Thou hast not pardoned. ⁴³ Thou hast covered with anger and pursued us; Thou hast slain unsparingly. ⁴⁴ Thou hast covered Thyself with a cloud, so that no prayer can pass through.

¹⁸ But the things which God foreshowed by the mouth of all the prophets, that his Christ should suffer, he thus fulfilled. ¹⁹ Repent ye therefore, and turn again, that your sins may be blotted out, that so there may come seasons of refreshing from the presence of the Lord,

²⁰ for ye were bought with a price; glorify God therefore in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's.

¹² instructing us, to the intent that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly and righteously and godly in this present world, ¹³ looking for the blessed hope and appearing of the glory of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ, ¹⁴ who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a people for his own possession, zealous of good works.

¹⁸ knowing that ye were redeemed, not with corruptible things, with silver or gold, from your vain manner of life handed down from your fathers, ¹⁹ but with precious blood, as of a lamb without spot, even the blood of Christ:
