³ Shall windy words have an end? Or what provoketh thee that thou answerest?

²⁶ Do ye hold words to be an argument, but the speeches of one that is desperate to be wind?

² How long wilt thou speak these things, seeing that the words of thy mouth are as a mighty wind?

² Should a wise man make answer with windy knowledge, and fill his belly with the east wind?

³ I have heard the reproof which putteth me to shame, but out of my understanding my spirit answereth me.

³ Also against his three friends was his wrath kindled, because they had found no answer, and yet had condemned Job. ⁴ Now Elihu had waited to speak unto Job, because they were older than he. ⁵ And when Elihu saw that there was no answer in the mouth of these three men, his wrath was kindled. ⁶ And Elihu the son of Barachel the Buzite answered and said: I am young, and ye are very old; wherefore I held back, and durst not declare you mine opinion.

⁴⁶ And no one was able to answer him a word, neither durst any man from that day forth ask him any more questions.
