²⁸ And ye shall do no manner of work in that same day; for it is a day of atonement, to make atonement for you before the LORD your God.

³⁴ And this shall be an everlasting statute unto you, to make atonement for the children of Israel because of all their sins once in the year.' And he did as the LORD commanded Moses.

¹⁰ Yet it pleased the LORD to crush him by disease; to see if his soul would offer itself in restitution, that he might see his seed, prolong his days, and that the purpose of the LORD might prosper by his hand:

²⁴ Seventy weeks are decreed upon thy people and upon thy holy city, to finish the transgression, and to make an end of sin, and to forgive iniquity, and to bring in everlasting righteousness, and to seal vision and prophet, and to anoint the most holy place.

⁹ For behold the stone that I have laid before Joshua; upon one stone are seven facets; behold, I will engrave the graving thereof, saith the LORD of hosts: And I will remove the iniquity of that land in one day.

¹⁰ For if, while we were enemies, we were reconciled to God through the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, shall we be saved by his life, ¹¹ and not only so, but we also rejoice in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have now received the reconciliation.

¹² nor yet through the blood of goats and calves, but through his own blood, entered in once for all into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption.

²⁶ else must he often have suffered since the foundation of the world; but now once at the end of the ages hath he been manifested to put away sin by the sacrifice of himself.

¹⁰ By which will we have been sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.

¹⁴ For by one offering he hath perfected for ever them that are sanctified.

² and he is the propitiation for our sins, and not for ours only, but also for the whole world.

¹⁰ Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins.

⁶ This is he that came by water and blood, even Jesus Christ, not with the water only, but with the water and the blood. And it is the Spirit that beareth witness, because the Spirit is the truth.
