⁷ And there came a cloud overshadowing them; and there came a voice out of the cloud, This is my beloved Son; hear ye him.

²¹ Take heed of him, and hearken unto his voice; be not rebellious against him; for he will not pardon your transgression; for My name is in him. ²² But if thou shalt indeed hearken unto his voice, and do all that I speak; then I will be an enemy unto thine enemies, and an adversary unto thine adversaries.

¹⁶ And the glory of the LORD abode upon mount Sinai, and the cloud covered it six days; and the seventh day He called unto Moses out of the midst of the cloud.

³⁴ Then the cloud covered the tent of meeting, and the glory of the LORD filled the tabernacle.

¹⁵ A prophet will the LORD thy God raise up unto thee, from the midst of thee, of thy brethren, like unto me; unto him ye shall hearken; ¹⁶ according to all that thou didst desire of the LORD thy God in Horeb in the day of the assembly, saying: 'Let me not hear again the voice of the LORD my God, neither let me see this great fire any more, that I die not.' ¹⁷ And the LORD said unto me: 'They have well said that which they have spoken. ¹⁸ I will raise them up a prophet from among their brethren, like unto thee; and I will put My words in his mouth, and he shall speak unto them all that I shall command him. ¹⁹ And it shall come to pass, that whosoever will not hearken unto My words which he shall speak in My name, I will require it of him.

¹⁰ And it came to pass, when the priests were come out of the holy place, that the cloud filled the house of the LORD, ¹¹ so that the priests could not stand to minister by reason of the cloud; for the glory of the LORD filled the house of the LORD. ¹² Then spoke Solomon: The LORD hath said that He would dwell in the thick darkness.

⁷ I will tell of the decree: the LORD said unto me: 'Thou art My son, this day have I begotten thee.

² Clouds and darkness are round about Him; righteousness and justice are the foundation of His throne.

¹³ I saw in the night visions, and, behold, there came with the clouds of heaven one like unto a son of man, and he came even to the Ancient of days, and he was brought near before Him.

¹⁷ and lo, a voice out of the heavens, saying, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.

⁵ While he was yet speaking, behold, a bright cloud overshadowed them; and behold, a voice out of the cloud, saying, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased, hear ye him. ⁶ And when the disciples heard it, they fell on their face, and were sore afraid. ⁷ And Jesus came and he touched them and said, Arise, and be not afraid.

⁶³ But Jesus held his peace. And the high priest said unto him, I adjure thee by the living God, that thou tell us whether thou art the Christ, the Son of God. ⁶⁴ Jesus said unto him, Thou hast said; nevertheless I say unto you, Henceforth ye shall see the Son of man sitting at the right hand of Power, and coming on the clouds of heaven.

⁴³ He trusteth on God, let him deliver him now, if he desireth him; for he said, I am the Son of God.

⁵⁴ Now the centurion, and they that were with him watching Jesus, when they saw the earthquake, and the things that were done, feared exceedingly, saying, Truly this was the Son of God.

¹¹ and a voice came out of the heavens, Thou art my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.

³⁴ And while he said these things, there came a cloud, and overshadowed them; and they feared as they entered into the cloud. ³⁵ And a voice came out of the cloud, saying, This is my beloved Son; hear ye him. ³⁶ And when the voice came, Jesus was found alone. And they held their peace, and told no man in those days any of the things which they had seen.

³⁴ And I have seen, and have borne witness that this is the Son of God.

⁴⁹ Nathanael answered him, Rabbi, thou art the Son of God, thou art the King of Israel.

¹⁶ For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth on him should not perish, but have eternal life. ¹⁷ For God sent not his Son into the world to judge the world, but that the world should be saved through him. ¹⁸ He that believeth on him is not judged; he that believeth not hath been judged already, because he hath not believed on the name of the only begotten Son of God.

¹⁸ For this cause therefore the Jews sought the more to kill him, because he not only brake the sabbath, but also called God his own Father, making himself equal with God.

²² For neither doth the Father judge any man, but he hath given all judgment unto the Son, ²³ that all may honor the Son, even as they honor the Father. He that honoreth not the Son honoreth not the Father that sent him. ²⁴ Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth him that sent me, hath eternal life, and cometh not into judgment, but hath passed out of death into life. ²⁵ Verily, verily, I say unto you, The hour cometh, and now is, when the dead shall hear the voice of the Son of God, and they that hear shall live.

³⁷ And the Father that sent me, he hath borne witness of me. Ye have neither heard his voice at any time, nor seen his form.

⁶⁹ And we have believed and know that thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God.

³⁵ Jesus heard that they had cast him out, and finding him, he said unto him, Dost thou believe on the Son of God?

⁷ The Jews answered him, We have a law, and by our law he ought to die, because he made himself the Son of God.

³¹ but these are written, that ye may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that believing ye may have life in his name.

⁹ And when he had said these things, as they were looking, he was taken up, and a cloud received him out of their sight.

²² Moses indeed said, A prophet shall the Lord our God raise up unto you from among your brethren, like unto me. To him shall ye hearken in all things whatsoever he shall speak unto you. ²³ And it shall be, that every soul that shall not hearken to that prophet, shall be utterly destroyed from among the people.

³⁷ This is that Moses, who said unto the children of Israel, A prophet shall the Lord our God raise up unto you from among your brethren, like unto me.

³⁶ And as they went on the way, they came unto a certain water, and the eunuch saith, Behold, here is water, what doth hinder me to be baptized?

⁴ who was declared to be the Son of God with power, according to the spirit of holiness, by the resurrection from the dead, even Jesus Christ our Lord,

¹ Therefore we ought to give the more earnest heed to the things that were heard, lest haply we drift away from them.

²⁵ See that ye refuse not him that speaketh. For if they escaped not when they refused him that warned them on earth, much more shall not we escape who turn away from him that warneth from heaven: ²⁶ whose voice then shook the earth; but now he hath promised, saying, Yet once more I make to tremble not the earth only, but also the heaven.

¹⁷ For he received from God the Father honor and glory, when there was borne such a voice to him by the Majestic Glory, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased:

⁹ Herein was the love of God manifested in us, that God hath sent his only begotten Son into the world that we might live through him. ¹⁰ Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins.

¹¹ And the witness is this, that God gave unto us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. ¹² He that hath the Son hath the life, he that hath not the Son of God hath not the life.

²⁰ And we know that the Son of God is come, and hath given us an understanding, that we know him that is true, and we are in him that is true, even in his Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God, and eternal life.

⁷ Behold, he cometh with the clouds, and every eye shall see him, and they that pierced him, and all the tribes of the earth shall mourn over him. Even so, Amen.
