²⁷ And as Jesus passed by from thence, two blind men followed him, crying out, and saying, Have mercy on us, thou son of David.

⁵ the blind receive their sight, and the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed, and the deaf hear, the dead are raised up, and the poor have good tidings preached to them.

²² Then was brought unto him one possessed with a demon, blind and dumb; and he healed him, insomuch that the blind and dumb both spake and saw. ²³ And all the multitudes were amazed, and said, Can this be the son of David?

²² And behold, a Canaanitish woman came out from those borders, and cried unto him, saying, Have mercy on me, O Lord, thou son of David, my daughter is grievously vexed with a demon.

¹⁵ and saying, Lord, have mercy on my son; for he is epileptic, and suffereth grievously, for oft-times he falleth into the fire, and oft-times into the water.

³⁰ And behold, two blind men sitting by the way side, when they heard that Jesus was passing by, cried out, saying, Lord, have mercy on us, thou son of David. ³¹ And the multitude rebuked them, that they should hold their peace; but they cried out the more, saying, Lord, have mercy on us, thou son of David.

⁹ And the multitudes that went before, and that followed, cried, saying, Hosanna to the son of David; Blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord, Hosanna in the highest.

¹⁵ But when the chief priests and the scribes saw the wonderful things that he did, and the children crying in the temple and saying, Hosanna to the son of David, they were moved with indignation,

⁴¹ Now while the Pharisees were gathered together, Jesus asked them a question, ⁴² saying, What think ye of the Christ? whose son is he? They say unto him, The son of David. ⁴³ He saith unto them, How then doth David in the Spirit call him Lord, saying, ⁴⁴ The Lord said unto my Lord, Sit thou on my right hand, Till I make thine enemies the footstool of thy feet? ⁴⁵ If David then calleth him Lord, how is he his son?

²² And they come unto Bethsaida. And they bring to him a blind man, and beseech him to touch him. ²³ And he took hold of the blind man by the hand, and brought him out of the village, and when he had spit on his eyes, and laid his hands upon him, he asked him, Seest thou aught?

²² And oft-times it hath cast him both into the fire and into the waters, to destroy him; but if thou canst do anything, have compassion on us, and help us.

⁴⁶ And they come to Jericho; and as he went out from Jericho, with his disciples and a great multitude, the son of Timaeus, Bartimaeus the blind, was sitting by the way side begging. ⁴⁷ And when he heard that it was Jesus the Nazarene, he began to cry out, and say, Jesus, the son of David, have mercy on me. ⁴⁸ And many rebuked him, that he should hold his peace; but he cried out the more a great deal, Thou son of David, have mercy on me.

¹⁰ Blessed is the kingdom of our father David, that cometh in the name of the Lord; Hosanna in the highest.

³⁵ And Jesus answered and said, as he taught in the temple, How say the scribes that the Christ is the son of David? ³⁶ For David himself said in the Holy Spirit, The Lord saith unto my Lord, Sit thou on my right hand, Till I make thine enemies the footstool of thy feet. ³⁷ David therefore himself calleth him Lord, and whence is he his son? And the common people heard him gladly.

²¹ In that hour he cured many of diseases and plagues and evil spirits, and on many that were blind he bestowed sight.

¹³ and they lifted up their voices, saying, Jesus, Master, have mercy on us.

³⁸ And he cried, saying, Jesus, thou son of David, have mercy on me. ³⁹ And they that went before rebuked him, that he should hold his peace but he cried out the more a great deal, Thou son of David, have mercy on me.

⁴¹ And he said unto them, How say they that the Christ is David's son?

⁴² Hath not the scripture said that the Christ cometh of the seed of David, and from Bethlehem, the village where David was?

¹ And as he passed by, he saw a man blind from his birth. ² And his disciples asked him, saying, Rabbi, who sinned, this man, or his parents, that he should be born blind? ³ Jesus answered, Neither did this man sin, nor his parents; but that the works of God should be made manifest in him. ⁴ I must work the works of him that sent me, while it is day; the night cometh, when no man can work. ⁵ When I am in the world, I am the light of the world. ⁶ When he had thus spoken, he spat on the ground, and made clay of the spittle, and anointed his eyes with the clay, ⁷ and said unto him, Go, wash in the pool of Siloam (which is by interpretation, Sent). He went away therefore, and washed, and came seeing. ⁸ The neighbors therefore, and they that saw him aforetime, that he was blind, said, Is not this he that sat and begged? ⁹ Others said, This is he; but others, No, but he is like him. He said, I am he. ¹⁰ They said therefore unto him, How then were thine eyes opened? ¹¹ He answered, The man that is called Jesus made clay, and anointed mine eyes, and said unto me, Go to the pool of Siloam, and wash; so I went away and washed, and I received sight. ¹² And they said unto him, Where is he? He saith, I know not.

³ concerning his Son, who was born of the seed of David according to the flesh,

⁵ whose are the fathers, and of whom is Christ as concerning the flesh, who is over all, God blessed for ever. Amen.
