¹³ In the transgression of the lips is a snare to the evil man; but the righteous cometh out of trouble.

² Thou art snared by the words of thy mouth, thou art caught by the words of thy mouth -

⁸ The righteous is delivered out of trouble, and the wicked cometh in his stead.

² The tongue of the wise useth knowledge aright; but the mouth of fools poureth out foolishness.

⁶ A fool's lips enter into contention, and his mouth calleth for strokes. ⁷ A fool's mouth is his ruin, and his lips are the snare of his soul.

²³ Whoso keepeth his mouth and his tongue keepeth his soul from troubles.

¹⁸ It is good that thou shouldest take hold of the one; yea, also from the other withdraw not thy hand; for he that feareth God shall discharge himself of them all.
