²⁹ Remove from me the way of falsehood; and grant me Thy law graciously.

⁵ Oh that my ways were directed to observe Thy statutes!

³⁷ Turn away mine eyes from beholding vanity, and quicken me in Thy ways.

¹⁰⁴ From Thy precepts I get understanding; therefore I hate every false way.

¹²⁸ Therefore I esteem all Thy precepts concerning all things to be right; every false way I hate.

¹⁶³ I hate and abhor falsehood; Thy law do I love.

³ Set a guard, O LORD, to my mouth; keep watch at the door of my lips. ⁴ Incline not my heart to any evil thing, to be occupied in deeds of wickedness with men that work iniquity; and let me not eat of their dainties.

⁸ Remove far from me falsehood and lies; give me neither poverty nor riches; feed me with mine allotted bread;

²⁰ He striveth after ashes, a deceived heart hath turned him aside, that he cannot deliver his soul, nor say: 'Is there not a lie in my right hand?'

¹⁹ O LORD, my strength, and my stronghold, and my refuge, in the day of affliction, unto Thee shall the nations come from the ends of the earth, and shall say: 'Our fathers have inherited nought but lies, vanity and things wherein there is no profit.'

³³ But this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, saith the LORD, I will put My law in their inward parts, and in their heart will I write it; and I will be their God, and they shall be My people; ³⁴ and they shall teach no more every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying: 'Know the LORD'; for they shall all know Me, from the least of them unto the greatest of them, saith the LORD; for I will forgive their iniquity, and their sin will I remember no more.

⁸ (2:9) They that regard lying vanities forsake their own mercy.

²² that ye put away, as concerning your former manner of life, the old man, that waxeth corrupt after the lusts of deceit, ²³ and that ye be renewed in the spirit of your mind, ²⁴ and put on the new man, that after God hath been created in righteousness and holiness of truth. ²⁵ Wherefore, putting away falsehood, speak ye truth each one with his neighbor; for we are members one of another.

⁸ If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.

⁴ He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him,

¹⁵ Without are the dogs, and the sorcerers, and the fornicators, and the murderers, and the idolaters, and every one that loveth and maketh a lie.
