³¹ (22:32) They shall come and shall declare His righteousness unto a people that shall be born, that He hath done it.

⁹ (40:10) I have preached righteousness in the great congregation, lo, I did not refrain my lips; O LORD, Thou knowest.

⁶ That the generation to come might know them, even the children that should be born; who should arise and tell them to their children,

¹⁸ (102:19) This shall be written for the generation to come; and a people which shall be created shall praise the LORD.

⁴ One generation shall laud Thy works to another, and shall declare Thy mighty acts. ⁵ The glorious splendour of Thy majesty, and Thy wondrous works, will I rehearse. ⁶ And men shall speak of the might of Thy tremendous acts; and I will tell of Thy greatness. ⁷ They shall utter the fame of Thy great goodness, and shall sing of Thy righteousness.

³ For I will pour water upon the thirsty land, and streams upon the dry ground; I will pour My spirit upon thy seed, and My blessing upon thine offspring; ⁴ And they shall spring up among the grass, as willows by the watercourses. ⁵ One shall say: 'I am the LORD'S'; and another shall call himself by the name of Jacob; and another shall subscribe with his hand unto the LORD, and surname himself by the name of Israel.

²¹ Then shalt thou say in thy heart: 'Who hath begotten me these, seeing I have been bereaved of my children, and am solitary, an exile, and wandering to and fro? And who hath brought up these? Behold, I was left alone; these, where were they?' ²² Thus saith the Lord GOD: Behold, I will lift up My hand to the nations, and set up Mine ensign to the peoples, and they shall bring thy sons in their bosom, and thy daughters shall be carried upon their shoulders. ²³ And kings shall be thy foster-fathers, and their queens thy nursing mothers; they shall bow down to thee with their face to the earth, and lick the dust of thy feet; and thou shalt know that I am the LORD, for they shall not be ashamed that wait for Me.

¹ Sing, O barren, thou that didst not bear, break forth into singing, and cry aloud, thou that didst not travail; for more are the children of the desolate than the children of the married wife, saith the LORD.

⁴ Lift up thine eyes round about, and see: they all are gathered together, and come to thee; thy sons come from far, and thy daughters are borne on the side.

⁷ Before she travailed, she brought forth; before her pain came, she was delivered of a man-child. ⁸ Who hath heard such a thing? Who hath seen such things? Is a land born in one day? Is a nation brought forth at once? For as soon as Zion travailed, she brought forth her children. ⁹ Shall I bring to the birth, and not cause to bring forth? saith the LORD; Shall I that cause to bring forth shut the womb? saith thy God.

¹⁷ For therein is revealed a righteousness of God from faith unto faith; as it is written, But the righteous shall live by faith.

²¹ But now apart from the law a righteousness of God hath been manifested, being witnessed by the law and the prophets, ²² even the righteousness of God through faith in Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe, for there is no distinction, ²³ for all have sinned, and fall short of the glory of God, ²⁴ being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus: ²⁵ whom God set forth to be a propitiation, through faith, in his blood, to show his righteousness because of the passing over of the sins done aforetime, in the forbearance of God,

¹⁹ For as through the one man's disobedience the many were made sinners, even so through the obedience of the one shall the many be made righteous. ²⁰ And the law came in besides, that the trespass might abound, but where sin abounded, grace did abound more exceedingly: ²¹ that, as sin reigned in death, even so might grace reign through righteousness unto eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

²¹ Him who knew no sin he made to be sin on our behalf, that we might become the righteousness of God in him.
