⁴ Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for Thou art with me; Thy rod and Thy staff, they comfort me.

⁵ Let darkness and the shadow of death claim it for their own; let a cloud dwell upon it; let all that maketh black the day terrify it.

²¹ Before I go whence I shall not return, even to the land of darkness and of the shadow of death; ²² A land of thick darkness, as darkness itself; a land of the shadow of death, without any order, and where the light is as darkness.

¹⁷ For the shadow of death is to all of them as the morning; for they know the terrors of the shadow of death.

⁷ Though I walk in the midst of trouble, Thou quickenest me; Thou stretchest forth Thy hand against the wrath of mine enemies, and Thy right hand doth save me.

⁹ Make an uproar, O ye peoples, and ye shall be broken in pieces; and give ear, all ye of far countries; gird yourselves, and ye shall be broken in pieces; gird yourselves, and ye shall be broken in pieces. ¹⁰ Take counsel together, and it shall be brought to nought; speak the word, and it shall not stand; for God is with us.

¹⁰ Fear thou not, for I am with thee, be not dismayed, for I am thy God; I strengthen thee, yea, I help thee; yea, I uphold thee with My victorious right hand.

¹ But now thus saith the LORD that created thee, O Jacob, and He that formed thee, O Israel: Fear not, for I have redeemed thee, I have called thee by thy name, thou art Mine. ² When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee, and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee; when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned, neither shall the flame kindle upon thee.

⁶ Neither said they: 'Where is the LORD that brought us up out of the land of Egypt; that led us through the wilderness, through a land of deserts and of pits, through a land of drought and of the shadow of death, through a land that no man passed through, and where no man dwelt?'

¹⁴ Tend Thy people with Thy staff, the flock of Thy heritage, that dwell solitarily, as a forest in the midst of the fruitful field; let them feed in Bashan and Gilead, as in the days of old.

²³ Thus saith the LORD of hosts: In those days it shall come to pass, that ten men shall take hold, out of all the languages of the nations, shall even take hold of the skirt of him that is a Jew, saying: We will go with you, for we have heard that God is with you.'

¹⁰ And I took my staff Graciousness, and cut it asunder, 'that I might break My covenant which I had made with all the peoples.'

¹⁴ Then I cut asunder mine other staff, even Binders, that the brotherhood between Judah and Israel might be broken.

²³ Behold, the virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, And they shall call his name Immanuel, which is, being interpreted, God with us.

²⁰ teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen.

⁷⁹ To shine upon them that sit in darkness and the shadow of death, To guide our feet into the way of peace.

⁹ And the Lord said unto Paul in the night by a vision, Be not afraid, but speak and hold not thy peace; ¹⁰ for I am with thee, and no man shall set on thee to harm thee; for I have much people in this city.

⁵⁵ O death, where is thy sting? O Hades, where is thy victory? ⁵⁶ The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law: ⁵⁷ but thanks be to God, who giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.
