¹⁰ Wherefore should the nations say: 'Where is their God?' Let the avenging of Thy servants' blood that is shed be made known among the nations in our sight.

⁷ and I will take you to Me for a people, and I will be to you a God; and ye shall know that I am the LORD your God, who brought you out from under the burdens of the Egyptians.

²³ And I will sanctify My great name, which hath been profaned among the nations, which ye have profaned in the midst of them; and the nations shall know that I am the LORD, saith the Lord GOD, when I shall be sanctified in you before their eyes.

²¹ And I will set My glory among the nations, and all the nations shall see My judgment that I have executed, and My hand that I have laid upon them. ²² So the house of Israel shall know that I am the LORD their God, from that day and forward.

¹⁷ Let the priests, the ministers of the LORD, weep between the porch and the altar, and let them say: 'Spare thy people, O LORD, and give not Thy heritage to reproach, that the nations should make them a byword: wherefore should they say among the peoples: Where is their God?'

¹⁰ Then mine enemy shall see it, and shame shall cover her; who said unto me: Where is the LORD thy God? Mine eyes shall gaze upon her; now shall she be trodden down as the mire of the streets.'

¹⁹ Avenge not yourselves, beloved, but give place unto the wrath of God; for it is written, Vengeance belongeth unto me, I will recompense, saith the Lord.

²⁰ Rejoice over her, thou heaven, and ye saints, and ye apostles, and ye prophets, for God hath judged your judgment on her.
