⁷ For scarcely for the just will any one die: yet for the good perhaps some also would venture to die.

⁴ Who for my soul have laid down their own necks: to whom not only I give thanks, but also all the churches of the nations.

¹⁶ In this have we known love, for he set his soul for us: and we ought to set the souls for the brethren.
