¹⁰ Now I beseech you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that you all speak the same thing, and that there be no divisions among you; but that you be perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the same judgment.

¹ [A song of ascents. Of David.] Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity!

³⁹ And I will give them one heart, and one way, that they may fear me forever, for the good of them, and of their children after them:

¹⁶ No man puts a piece of new cloth onto an old garment, for that which is put on to fill it up takes from the garment, and the tear is made worse.

²¹ No man also sews a piece of new cloth on an old garment: else the new piece that filled it up tears away from the old, and the tear is made worse.

⁴³ So there was a division among the people because of him.

¹⁶ Therefore said some of the Pharisees, This man is not of God, because he keeps not the sabbath day. Others said, How can a man that is a sinner do such miracles? And there was a division among them.

¹⁹ There was a division therefore again among the Jews for these sayings.

³⁴ A new commandment I give unto you, That you love one another; as I have loved you, that you also love one another. ³⁵ By this shall all men know that you are my disciples, if you have love one to another.

²³ I in them, and you in me, that they may be made perfect in one; and that the world may know that you have sent me, and have loved them, as you have loved me.

³² And the multitude of them that believed were of one heart and of one soul: neither said any of them that any of the things which he possessed was his own; but they had all things common.

¹ I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.

¹⁶ Be of the same mind one toward another. Mind not high things, but condescend to men of low estate. Be not wise in your own conceits.

⁵ Now the God of patience and consolation grant you to be like minded one toward another according to Christ Jesus: ⁶ That you may with one mind and one mouth glorify God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.

³⁰ Now I beseech you, brethren, for the Lord Jesus Christ's sake, and for the love of the Spirit, that you strive together with me in your prayers to God for me;

¹⁷ Now I beseech you, brethren, mark them who cause divisions and offenses contrary to the doctrine which you have learned; and avoid them.

¹⁶ Therefore I beseech you, be followers of me.

¹⁸ For first of all, when you come together in the church, I hear that there be divisions among you; and I partly believe it.

²⁵ That there should be no schism in the body; but that the members should have the same care one for another.

²⁰ Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you on Christ's behalf, be reconciled to God.

¹ We then, as workers together with him, beseech you also that you receive not the grace of God in vain.

¹ Now I Paul myself beseech you by the meekness and gentleness of Christ, who in presence am humble among you, but being absent am bold toward you:

¹¹ Finally, brethren, farewell. Be restored, be of good comfort, be of one mind, live in peace; and the God of love and peace shall be with you.

¹² Brethren, I beseech you, be as I am; for I am as you are: you have not injured me at all.

¹ I therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you that you walk worthy of the vocation by which you are called, ² With all lowliness and meekness, with longsuffering, forbearing one another in love; ³ Endeavoring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace. ⁴ There is one body, and one Spirit, even as you are called in one hope of your calling; ⁵ One Lord, one faith, one baptism, ⁶ One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all. ⁷ But unto every one of us is given grace according to the measure of the gift of Christ.

³¹ Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamor, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice: ³² And be you kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake has forgiven you.

²⁷ Only let your manner of life be as it becomes the gospel of Christ: that whether I come and see you, or else be absent, I may hear of your affairs, that you stand fast in one spirit, with one mind striving together for the faith of the gospel;

¹ If there be therefore any consolation in Christ, if any comfort of love, if any fellowship of the Spirit, if any affections and mercies, ² Fulfill you my joy, that you be like minded, having the same love, being of one accord, of one mind. ³ Let nothing be done through strife or vain glory; but in lowliness of mind let each esteem others better than themselves. ⁴ Look not every man on his own things, but every man also on the things of others.

¹⁶ Nevertheless, to what we have already attained, let us walk by the same rule, let us mind the same thing.

¹ Furthermore then we beseech you, brethren, and exhort you by the Lord Jesus, that as you have received of us how you ought to walk and to please God, so you would abound more and more. ² For you know what commandments we gave you by the Lord Jesus.

¹³ And to esteem them very highly in love for their work's sake. And be at peace among yourselves.

¹ Now we beseech you, brethren, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and by our gathering together unto him,

²¹ I charge you before God, and the Lord Jesus Christ, and the elect angels, that you observe these things without preferring one before another, doing nothing by partiality.

¹ I charge you therefore before God, and the Lord Jesus Christ, who shall judge the living and the dead at his appearing and his kingdom;

⁹ Yet for love's sake I rather beseech you, being such a one as Paul the aged, and now also a prisoner of Jesus Christ. ¹⁰ I beseech you for my son Onesimus, whom I have begotten in my bonds:

¹³ Who is a wise man and endued with knowledge among you? let him show out of a good life his works with meekness of wisdom. ¹⁴ But if you have bitter envying and strife in your hearts, boast not, and lie not against the truth. ¹⁵ This wisdom descends not from above, but is earthly, sensual, demonic. ¹⁶ For where envying and strife is, there is confusion and every evil work. ¹⁷ But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and compliant, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy. ¹⁸ And the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace by them that make peace.

¹¹ Dearly beloved, I beseech you as aliens and exiles, abstain from fleshly lusts, which war against the soul;

⁸ Finally, be all of one mind, having compassion one with another, love as brethren, be tender hearted, be courteous: ⁹ Not rendering evil for evil, or railing for railing: but on the contrary blessing; knowing that you are unto this called, that you should inherit a blessing.
