⁷ And he went and sent to Jehoshaphat the king of Judah, saying, The king of Moab has rebelled against me: will you go with me against Moab to battle? And he said, I will go up: I am as you are, my people as your people, and my horses as your horses.

² And Jehu the son of Hanani the seer went out to meet him, and said to king Jehoshaphat, Should you help the wicked, and love them that hate the LORD? therefore is wrath came upon you from the LORD.

²¹ Do not I hate them, O LORD, that hate you? and am not I grieved with those that rise up against you? ²² I hate them with perfect hatred: I count them my enemies.

²⁰ He that walks with wise men shall be wise: but a companion of fools shall be destroyed.

³³ Be not deceived: evil companions corrupt good morals.

¹⁶ And what agreement has the temple of God with idols? for you are the temple of the living God; as God has said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people. ¹⁷ Therefore come out from among them, and be you separate, says the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you,

¹¹ And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them.

¹¹ For he that bids him God speed is partaker of his evil deeds.

²⁶ And he that overcomes, and keeps my works unto the end, to him will I give power over the nations:
