¹⁷ Now they began on the first day of the first month to sanctify, and on the eighth day of the month came they to the vestibule of the LORD: so they sanctified the house of the LORD in eight days; and in the sixteenth day of the first month they finished.

² This month shall be unto you the beginning of months: it shall be the first month of the year to you. ³ Speak unto all the congregation of Israel, saying, In the tenth day of this month they shall take to them every man a lamb, according to the house of their fathers, a lamb for a house: ⁴ And if the household be too little for the lamb, let him and his neighbor next unto his house take it according to the number of persons; every man according to his eating shall make your count for the lamb. ⁵ Your lamb shall be without blemish, a male of the first year: you shall take it out from the sheep, or from the goats: ⁶ And you shall keep it up until the fourteenth day of the same month: and the whole assembly of the congregation of Israel shall kill it in the evening. ⁷ And they shall take of the blood, and put it on the two side posts and on the upper door post of the houses, in which they shall eat it. ⁸ And they shall eat the flesh in that night, roasted with fire, and unleavened bread; and with bitter herbs they shall eat it.

³ And the porch in front of the temple of the house, twenty cubits was the length thereof, according to the breadth of the house; and ten cubits was the breadth thereof in front of the house.

¹¹ Then David gave to Solomon his son the plans of the vestibule, and of its houses, and of its treasuries, and of its upper chambers, and of its inner chambers, and of the place for the mercy seat,

⁴ And the vestibule that was in the front of the house, the length of it was according to the breadth of the house, twenty cubits, and the height was a hundred and twenty: and he overlaid it inside with pure gold.

³ He in the first year of his reign, in the first month, opened the doors of the house of the LORD, and repaired them.

⁷ Also they have shut up the doors of the vestibule, and put out the lamps, and have not burned incense nor offered burnt offerings in the holy place unto the God of Israel.
