⁷ Also they have shut up the doors of the vestibule, and put out the lamps, and have not burned incense nor offered burnt offerings in the holy place unto the God of Israel.

² Command the children of Israel, that they bring unto you pure beaten olive oil for the light, to cause the lamps to burn continually. ³ Outside the veil of the testimony, in the tabernacle of meeting, shall Aaron keep it in order from the evening unto the morning before the LORD continually: it shall be a statute forever in your generations. ⁴ He shall keep in order the lamps upon the pure lampstand before the LORD continually. ⁵ And you shall take fine flour, and bake twelve cakes of it: two- tenth of an ephah shall be in one cake. ⁶ And you shall set them in two rows, six on a row, upon the pure gold table before the LORD. ⁷ And you shall put pure frankincense upon each row, that it may be on the bread for a memorial, even an offering made by fire unto the LORD. ⁸ Every sabbath he shall set it in order before the LORD continually, being taken from the children of Israel by an everlasting covenant.

¹⁷ And king Ahaz cut off the panels of the stands, and removed the laver from off them; and took down the sea from off the bronze oxen that were under it, and put it upon a pavement of stones. ¹⁸ And the covered place for the sabbath that they had built in the house, and the king’s outer entry, he removed from the house of the LORD because of the king of Assyria.

²⁴ And Ahaz gathered together the vessels of the house of God, and cut in pieces the vessels of the house of God, and shut up the doors of the house of the LORD, and he made himself altars in every corner of Jerusalem.

³ He in the first year of his reign, in the first month, opened the doors of the house of the LORD, and repaired them.

¹⁰ Who is there even among you that would shut the doors for nothing? neither do you kindle fire on my altar for nothing. I have no pleasure in you, says the LORD of hosts, neither will I accept an offering at your hand.
