¹⁴ And a certain woman named Lydia, a seller of purple, of the city of Thyatira, who worshiped God, heard us: whose heart the Lord opened, so that she attended unto the things which were spoken by Paul.

³ Your people shall be willing in the day of your power, in the beauties of holiness from the womb of the morning: you have the dew of your youth.

⁴ My beloved put in his hand by the latch of the door, and my heart was thrilled for him.

⁵ The Lord GOD has opened my ear, and I was not rebellious, neither turned backward.

⁴⁵ Then opened he their understanding, that they might understand the scriptures,

⁴⁴ No man can come to me, except the Father who has sent me draw him: and I will raise him up at the last day. ⁴⁵ It is written in the prophets, And they shall be all taught of God. Every man therefore that has heard, and has learned of the Father, comes unto me.

²⁰ And there were certain Greeks among them that came up to worship at the feast:

²⁷ And he arose and went: and, behold, a man of Ethiopia, a eunuch of great authority under Candace queen of the Ethiopians, who had the charge of all her treasure, and had come to Jerusalem to worship,

² A devout man, and one that feared God with all his house, who gave much alms to the people, and prayed to God always.

²¹ And the hand of the Lord was with them: and a great number believed, and turned unto the Lord.

⁷ And he departed from there, and entered into a certain man's house, named Justus, one that worshiped God, whose house was next door to the synagogue.

¹⁶ So then it is not of him that wills, nor of him that runs, but of God that shows mercy.

⁶ I have planted, Apollos watered; but God gave the increase. ⁷ So then neither is he that plants anything, neither he that waters; but God that gives the increase.

¹⁴ But their minds were blinded: for until this day remains the same veil not taken away in the reading of the old covenant; which veil is done away in Christ. ¹⁵ But even unto this day, when Moses is read, the veil is upon their hearts. ¹⁶ Nevertheless when one shall turn to the Lord, the veil shall be taken away.

⁴ In whom the god of this age has blinded the minds of them who believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them. ⁵ For we preach not ourselves, but Christ Jesus the Lord; and ourselves your servants for Jesus' sake. ⁶ For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, has shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.

¹⁷ That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him: ¹⁸ The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that you may know what is the hope of his calling, and what is the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints,

¹³ For it is God who works in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure.

¹⁶ Do not err, my beloved brethren. ¹⁷ Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and comes down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.

¹¹ Saying, I am Alpha and Omega, the first and the last: and, What you see, write in a book, and send it unto the seven churches which are in Asia; unto Ephesus, and unto Smyrna, and unto Pergamum, and unto Thyatira, and unto Sardis, and unto Philadelphia, and unto Laodicea.

¹⁸ And unto the angel of the church in Thyatira write; These things says the Son of God, who has his eyes like unto a flame of fire, and his feet are like fine bronze; ¹⁹ I know your works, and love, and service, and faith, and your patience, and your works; and the last to be more than the first. ²⁰ Nevertheless I have a few things against you, because you allow that woman Jezebel, who calls herself a prophetess, to teach and to seduce my servants to commit fornication, and to eat things sacrificed unto idols. ²¹ And I gave her time to repent of her fornication; and she repented not. ²² Behold, I will cast her into a bed, and them that commit adultery with her into great tribulation, except they repent of their deeds. ²³ And I will kill her children with death; and all the churches shall know that I am he who searches the minds and hearts: and I will give unto every one of you according to your works. ²⁴ But unto you I say, and unto the rest in Thyatira, as many as have not this doctrine, and who have not known the depths of Satan, as they say; I will put upon you no other burden.

⁷ And to the angel of the church in Philadelphia write; These things says he that is holy, he that is true, he that has the key of David, he that opens, and no man shuts; and shuts, and no man opens;

²⁰ Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hears my voice, and opens the door, I will come in to him, and will eat with him, and he with me.
