³ Yea, he loved the people; all his saints are in your hand: and they sat down at your feet; everyone shall receive of your words.

⁵ Now therefore, if you will obey my voice indeed, and keep my covenant, then you shall be a special treasure unto me above all people: for all the earth is mine: ⁶ And you shall be unto me a kingdom of priests, and a holy nation. These are the words which you shall speak unto the children of Israel.

⁶ For you are a holy people unto the LORD your God: the LORD your God has chosen you to be a special people unto himself, above all people that are upon the face of the earth. ⁷ The LORD did not set his love upon you, nor choose you, because you were more in number than any people; for you were the fewest of all people: ⁸ But because the LORD loved you, and because he would keep the oath which he had sworn unto your fathers, has the LORD brought you out with a mighty hand, and redeemed you out of the house of bondage, from the hand of Pharaoh king of Egypt.

² For you are a holy people unto the LORD your God, and the LORD has chosen you to be a peculiar people unto himself, above all the nations that are upon the earth.

⁹ He will keep the feet of his saints, and the wicked shall be silent in darkness; for by strength shall no man prevail.

¹⁵ My times are in your hand: deliver me from the hand of my enemies, and from them that persecute me.

⁴ He shall choose our inheritance for us, the excellency of Jacob whom he loved. Selah.

⁵ Gather my saints together unto me; those that have made a covenant with me by sacrifice.

¹⁹ He shows his word unto Jacob, his statutes and his judgments unto Israel. ²⁰ He has not dealt so with any nation: and as for his judgments, they have not known them. Praise you the LORD.

¹ My son, if you will receive my words, and lay up my commandments with you;

³ The LORD has appeared of old unto me, saying, Yea, I have loved you with an everlasting love: therefore with lovingkindness have I drawn you.

⁴⁰ And I will make an everlasting covenant with them, that I will not turn away from doing them good; but I will put my fear in their hearts, that they shall not depart from me.

¹ When Israel was a child, then I loved him, and called my son out of Egypt.

² I have loved you, says the LORD. Yet you say, How have you loved us? Was not Esau Jacob's brother? says the LORD: yet I loved Jacob,

⁴⁶ And it came to pass, that after three days they found him in the temple, sitting in the midst of the doctors, both hearing them, and asking them questions.

³⁵ Then they went out to see what was done; and came to Jesus, and found the man, out of whom the demons were departed, sitting at the feet of Jesus, clothed, and in his right mind: and they were afraid.

³⁹ And she had a sister called Mary, who also sat at Jesus' feet, and heard his word.

²⁸ And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand. ²⁹ My Father, who gave them to me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father's hand.

¹¹ And now I am no more in the world, but these are in the world, and I come to you. Holy Father, keep through your own name those whom you have given me, that they may be one, as we are. ¹² While I was with them in the world, I kept them in your name: those that you gave me I have kept, and none of them is lost, but the son of perdition; that the scripture might be fulfilled. ¹³ And now come I to you; and these things I speak in the world, that they might have my joy fulfilled in themselves. ¹⁴ I have given them your word; and the world has hated them, because they are not of the world, even as I am not of the world. ¹⁵ I pray not that you should take them out of the world, but that you should keep them from the evil.

³ I am verily a man who is a Jew, born in Tarsus, a city in Cilicia, yet brought up in this city at the feet of Gamaliel, and taught according to the perfect manner of the law of the fathers, and was zealous toward God, as you all are this day.

³⁵ Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? ³⁶ As it is written, For your sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter. ³⁷ Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us. ³⁸ For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, ³⁹ Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creation, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

¹¹ (For the children being not yet born, neither having done any good or evil, that the purpose of God according to election might stand, not of works, but of him that calls;) ¹² It was said unto her, The elder shall serve the younger. ¹³ As it is written, Jacob have I loved, but Esau have I hated.

⁴ But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love with which he loved us, ⁵ Even when we were dead in sins, has made us alive together with Christ, (by grace you are saved;)

³ For you are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God. ⁴ When Christ, who is our life, shall appear, then shall you also appear with him in glory.

⁶ And you became followers of us, and of the Lord, having received the word in much affliction, with joy of the Holy Spirit:

⁵ Who are kept by the power of God through faith unto salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.

¹⁹ We love him, because he first loved us.
