¹ Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the will of God, to the saints who are at Ephesus, and to the faithful in Christ Jesus: ² Grace be to you, and peace, from God our Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ. ³ Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ: ⁴ According as he has chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love: ⁵ Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will, ⁶ To the praise of the glory of his grace, in which he has made us accepted in the beloved. ⁷ In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace; ⁸ Which he has abounded toward us in all wisdom and prudence; ⁹ Having made known unto us the mystery of his will, according to his good pleasure which he has purposed in himself: ¹⁰ That in the dispensation of the fullness of times he might gather together in one all things in Christ, both which are in heaven, and which are on earth; even in him: ¹¹ In whom also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestinated according to the purpose of him who works all things after the counsel of his own will: ¹² That we should be to the praise of his glory, who first trusted in Christ. ¹³ In whom you also trusted, after you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after you believed, you were sealed with that Holy Spirit of promise, ¹⁴ Who is the guarantee of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, unto the praise of his glory. ¹⁵ Therefore I also, after I heard of your faith in the Lord Jesus, and love unto all the saints, ¹⁶ Cease not to give thanks for you, making mention of you in my prayers; ¹⁷ That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him: ¹⁸ The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that you may know what is the hope of his calling, and what is the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints, ¹⁹ And what is the exceeding greatness of his power toward us who believe, according to the working of his mighty power, ²⁰ Which he performed in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and set him at his own right hand in the heavenly places, ²¹ Far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this age, but also in that which is to come: ²² And has put all things under his feet, and gave him to be the head over all things to the church, ²³ Which is his body, the fullness of him that fills all in all.

⁷ My servant Moses is not thus, who is faithful in all my house.

¹⁰ He that is faithful in that which is least is faithful also in much: and he that is unjust in the least is unjust also in much.

¹⁵ And when she was baptized, and her household, she besought us, saying, If you have judged me to be faithful to the Lord, come into my house, and abide there. And she prevailed upon us.

¹ And it came to pass, that, while Apollos was at Corinth, Paul having passed through the upper country came to Ephesus: and finding certain disciples, ² He said unto them, Received you the Holy Spirit when you believed? And they said unto him, We have not so much as heard whether there be any Holy Spirit. ³ And he said unto them, Unto what then were you baptized? And they said, Unto John's baptism. ⁴ Then said Paul, John verily baptized with the baptism of repentance, saying unto the people, that they should believe on him who should come after him, that is, on Christ Jesus. ⁵ When they heard this, they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus. ⁶ And when Paul had laid his hands upon them, the Holy Spirit came on them; and they spoke with tongues, and prophesied. ⁷ And all the men were about twelve. ⁸ And he went into the synagogue, and spoke boldly for the space of three months, arguing and persuading the things concerning the kingdom of God. ⁹ But when some were hardened, and believed not, but spoke evil of that way before the multitude, he departed from them, and separated the disciples, arguing daily in the school of one Tyrannus. ¹⁰ And this continued by the space of two years; so that all they who dwelt in Asia heard the word of the Lord Jesus, both Jews and Greeks. ¹¹ And God did special miracles by the hands of Paul: ¹² So that from his body were brought unto the sick handkerchiefs or aprons, and the diseases departed from them, and the evil spirits went out of them. ¹³ Then certain of the vagabond Jews, exorcists, took upon themselves to call over them who had evil spirits the name of the Lord Jesus, saying, We adjure you by Jesus whom Paul preaches. ¹⁴ And there were seven sons of one Sceva, a Jew, and chief of the priests, who did so. ¹⁵ And the evil spirit answered and said, Jesus I know, and Paul I know; but who are you? ¹⁶ And the man in whom the evil spirit was leaped on them, and overcame them, and prevailed against them, so that they fled out of that house naked and wounded. ¹⁷ And this was known to all the Jews and Greeks also dwelling at Ephesus; and fear fell on them all, and the name of the Lord Jesus was magnified. ¹⁸ And many that believed came, and confessed, and told of their deeds. ¹⁹ Many of them also who used magic arts brought their books together, and burned them before all men: and they counted the price of them, and found it fifty thousand pieces of silver. ²⁰ So mightily grew the word of God and prevailed.

⁷ To all that be in Rome, beloved of God, called to be saints: Grace to you and peace from God our Father, and the Lord Jesus Christ.

¹ There is therefore now no condemnation to them who are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.

¹ Paul, called to be an apostle of Jesus Christ through the will of God, and Sosthenes our brother, ² Unto the church of God which is at Corinth, to them that are sanctified in Christ Jesus, called to be saints, with all that in every place call upon the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, both theirs and ours:

¹² And labor, working with our own hands: being reviled, we bless; being persecuted, we endure it:

¹⁷ For this cause have I sent unto you Timothy, who is my beloved son, and faithful in the Lord, who shall bring you into remembrance of my ways which are in Christ, as I teach everywhere in every church.

²¹ But that you also may know my affairs, and how I do, Tychicus, a beloved brother and faithful minister in the Lord, shall make known to you all things:

¹⁰ Fear none of those things which you will suffer: behold, the devil shall cast some of you into prison, that you may be tried; and you shall have tribulation ten days: be faithful unto death, and I will give you a crown of life.

² Grace be to you and peace from God our Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ. ³ Grace be to you and peace from God the Father, and from our Lord Jesus Christ, ⁴ To Titus, my own son after the common faith: Grace, mercy, and peace, from God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ our Savior.

² And I will make of you a great nation, and I will bless you, and make your name great; and you shall be a blessing: ³ And I will bless them that bless you, and curse him that curses you: and in you shall all families of the earth be blessed.

²⁰ And blessed be the most high God, who has delivered your enemies into your hand. And he gave him tithes of all.

¹⁸ And in your descendants shall all the nations of the earth be blessed; because you have obeyed my voice.

¹⁰ And Jabez called on the God of Israel, saying, Oh that you would bless me indeed, and enlarge my border, and that your hand might be with me, and that you would keep me from evil, that it may not grieve me! And God granted him that which he requested.

²⁰ And David said to all the congregation, Now bless the LORD your God. And all the congregation blessed the LORD God of their fathers, and bowed down their heads, and worshiped the LORD, and the king.

⁵ Then the Levites, Jeshua, and Kadmiel, Bani, Hashabneiah, Sherebiah, Hodiah, Shebaniah, and Pethahiah, said, Stand up and bless the LORD your God forever and ever: and blessed be your glorious name, which is exalted above all blessing and praise.

¹⁷ His name shall endure forever: his name shall be continued as long as the sun: and men shall be blessed in him: all nations shall call him blessed.

¹⁹ And blessed be his glorious name forever: and let the whole earth be filled with his glory; Amen, and Amen.

³ The LORD that made heaven and earth bless you out of Zion.

⁹ And their descendants shall be known among the Gentiles, and their offspring among the people: all that see them shall acknowledge them, that they are the descendants whom the LORD has blessed.

³⁴ And at the end of the days I Nebuchadnezzar lifted up my eyes unto heaven, and my understanding returned unto me, and I blessed the most High, and I praised and honored him that lives forever, whose dominion is an everlasting dominion, and his kingdom is from generation to generation:

²⁸ Then he took him up in his arms, and blessed God, and said,

²⁹ My Father, who gave them to me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father's hand. ³⁰ I and my Father are one.

²⁰ At that day you shall know that I am in my Father, and you in me, and I in you.

² Every branch in me that bears not fruit he takes away: and every branch that bears fruit, he prunes it, that it may bring forth more fruit. ³ Now you are clean through the word which I have spoken unto you. ⁴ Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can you, except you abide in me. ⁵ I am the vine, you are the branches: He that abides in me, and I in him, the same brings forth much fruit: for without me you can do nothing.

²¹ That they all may be one; as you, Father, are in me, and I in you, that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that you have sent me.

¹⁷ Jesus said unto her, Touch me not; for I am not yet ascended to my Father: but go to my brethren, and say unto them, I ascend unto my Father, and your Father; and to my God, and your God.

⁵ So we, being many, are one body in Christ, and every one members one of another.

⁶ That you may with one mind and one mouth glorify God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.

³⁰ And of him are you in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption:

¹² For as the body is one, and has many members, and all the members of that one body, being many, are one body: so also is Christ.

³ Blessed be God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies, and the God of all comfort;

¹⁷ Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creation: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.

²¹ For he has made him, who knew no sin, to be sin for us; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.

³¹ The God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who is blessed forevermore, knows that I lie not.

¹⁰ That in the dispensation of the fullness of times he might gather together in one all things in Christ, both which are in heaven, and which are on earth; even in him:

¹⁷ That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him:

²⁰ Which he performed in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and set him at his own right hand in the heavenly places,

⁶ And has raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus:

¹⁰ To the intent that now unto the principalities and powers in heavenly places might be known by the church the manifold wisdom of God,

¹² For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in heavenly places.

¹¹ And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

⁵ Who serve unto the example and shadow of heavenly things, as Moses was admonished of God when he was about to make the tabernacle: for, See, says he, that you make all things according to the pattern showed to you in the mount.

²³ It was therefore necessary that the patterns of things in the heavens should be purified with these; but the heavenly things themselves with better sacrifices than these.

³ Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to his abundant mercy has begotten us again unto a living hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,

⁹ And when those living creatures give glory and honor and thanks to him that sits on the throne, who lives forever and ever, ¹⁰ The four and twenty elders fall down before him that is sitting on the throne, and worship him that lives forever and ever, and cast their crowns before the throne, saying, ¹¹ You are worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honor and power: for you have created all things, and for your pleasure they are and were created.

⁹ And they sang a new song, saying, You are worthy to take the scroll, and to open the seals thereof: for you were slain, and have redeemed us to God by your blood out of every tribe, and tongue, and people, and nation; ¹⁰ And have made us unto our God a kingdom and priests: and we shall reign on the earth. ¹¹ And I beheld, and I heard the voice of many angels round about the throne and the living creatures and the elders: and the number of them was ten thousand times ten thousand, and thousands of thousands; ¹² Saying with a loud voice, Worthy is the Lamb that was slain to receive power, and riches, and wisdom, and strength, and honor, and glory, and blessing. ¹³ And every creature which is in heaven, and on the earth, and under the earth, and such as are in the sea, and all that are in them, heard I saying, Blessing, and honor, and glory, and power, be unto him that sits upon the throne, and unto the Lamb forever and ever. ¹⁴ And the four living creatures said, Amen. And the four and twenty elders fell down and worshiped him that lives forever and ever.

⁶ For you are a holy people unto the LORD your God: the LORD your God has chosen you to be a special people unto himself, above all people that are upon the face of the earth. ⁷ The LORD did not set his love upon you, nor choose you, because you were more in number than any people; for you were the fewest of all people:

⁴ For the LORD has chosen Jacob unto himself, and Israel for his peculiar treasure.

⁸ But you, Israel, are my servant, Jacob whom I have chosen, the descendant of Abraham my friend. ⁹ You whom I have taken from the ends of the earth, and called you from its chief men, and said unto you, you are my servant; I have chosen you, and not cast you away.

¹ Behold my servant, whom I uphold; my elect, in whom my soul delights; I have put my spirit upon him: he shall bring forth justice to the Gentiles.

⁸ Thus says the LORD, As the new wine is found in the cluster, and one says, Destroy it not; for a blessing is in it: so will I do for my servants' sakes, that I may not destroy them all. ⁹ And I will bring forth a descendant out of Jacob, and out of Judah an inheritor of my mountains: and my elect shall inherit it, and my servants shall dwell there. ¹⁰ And Sharon shall be a fold of flocks, and the valley of Achor a place for the herds to lie down in, for my people that have sought me.

²⁵ At that time Jesus answered and said, I thank you, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because you have hid these things from the wise and prudent, and have revealed them unto babes. ²⁶ Even so, Father: for so it seemed good in your sight.

²² And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect's sake those days shall be shortened.

²⁴ For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall show great signs and wonders; so that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.

³¹ And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.

³⁴ Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, you blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world:

⁷⁴ That he would grant unto us, that we being delivered out of the hand of our enemies might serve him without fear, ⁷⁵ In holiness and righteousness before him, all the days of our life.

¹⁶ And other sheep I have, which are not of this fold: them also I must bring, and they shall hear my voice; and there shall be one fold, and one shepherd.

¹⁶ You have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that you should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever you shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it to you.

²⁴ Father, I will that they also, whom you have given me, be with me where I am; that they may behold my glory, which you have given me: for you loved me before the foundation of the world.

⁴⁸ And when the Gentiles heard this, they were glad, and glorified the word of the Lord: and as many as were ordained to eternal life believed.

¹⁸ Known unto God are all his works from the beginning of the world.

¹⁰ For I am with you, and no man shall set on you to hurt you: for I have many people in this city.

²⁸ And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose. ²⁹ For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren. ³⁰ Moreover whom he did predestinate, them he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified.

³³ Who shall lay anything to the charge of God's elect? It is God that justifies.

²³ And that he might make known the riches of his glory on the vessels of mercy, which he had before prepared unto glory, ²⁴ Even us, whom he has called, not of the Jews only, but also of the Gentiles?

⁵ Even so then at this present time also there is a remnant according to the election of grace. ⁶ And if by grace, then is it no more of works: otherwise grace is no more grace. But if it be of works, then is it no more grace: otherwise work is no more work.

⁸ Who shall also confirm you unto the end, that you may be blameless in the day of our Lord Jesus Christ.

⁶ For in Jesus Christ neither circumcision avails anything, nor uncircumcision; but faith which works by love.

¹³ For, brethren, you have been called unto liberty; only use not liberty for an occasion to the flesh, but by love serve one another.

²² But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,

¹⁰ For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God has before ordained that we should walk in them.

¹⁷ That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that you, being rooted and grounded in love,

² With all lowliness and meekness, with longsuffering, forbearing one another in love;

¹⁵ But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, who is the head, even Christ: ¹⁶ From whom the whole body being fitly joined together and knit together by that which every joint supplies, according to the effectual working in the measure of every part, makes increase of the body unto the edifying of itself in love.

² And walk in love, as Christ also has loved us, and has given himself for us an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweet smelling fragrance.

²⁷ That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish.

¹⁵ That you may be blameless and harmless, the sons of God, without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom you shine as lights in the world;

²² In the body of his flesh through death, to present you holy and unblamable and unreprovable in his sight:

² That their hearts might be comforted, being knit together in love, and unto all riches of the full assurance of understanding, to the acknowledgment of the mystery of God, and of the Father, and of Christ;

¹² Put on therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, compassion, kindness, humbleness of mind, meekness, longsuffering;

¹² And the Lord make you to increase and abound in love one toward another, and toward all men, even as we do toward you:

⁷ For God has not called us unto uncleanness, but unto holiness.

¹³ But we are bound to give thanks always to God for you, brethren beloved of the Lord, because God has from the beginning chosen you to salvation through sanctification of the Spirit and belief of the truth: ¹⁴ To which he called you by our gospel, to the obtaining of the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ.

⁹ Who has saved us, and called us with a holy calling, not according to our works, but according to his own purpose and grace, which was given us in Christ Jesus before the world began,

¹⁰ Therefore I endure all things for the elect's sakes, that they may also obtain the salvation which is in Christ Jesus with eternal glory.

¹⁹ Nevertheless the foundation of God stands sure, having this seal, The Lord knows them that are his. And, Let every one that names the name of Christ depart from iniquity.

¹ Paul, a servant of God, and an apostle of Jesus Christ, according to the faith of God's elect, and the acknowledging of the truth which is after godliness; ² In hope of eternal life, which God, who cannot lie, promised before the ages began;

¹¹ For the grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men, ¹² Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live sensibly, righteously, and godly, in this present world;

⁵ Hearken, my beloved brethren, Has not God chosen the poor of this world rich in faith, and heirs of the kingdom which he has promised to them that love him?

² Elect according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, through sanctification of the Spirit, unto obedience and sprinkling of the blood of Jesus Christ: Grace unto you, and peace, be multiplied.

²⁰ Who verily was foreordained before the foundation of the world, but was manifest in these last times for you,

⁹ But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for his own; that you should show forth the praises of him who has called you out of darkness into his marvelous light:

⁵ And for this reason, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge; ⁶ And to knowledge self control; and to self control patience; and to patience godliness; ⁷ And to godliness brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness love. ⁸ For if these things be in you, and abound, they make you that you shall neither be barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. ⁹ But he that lacks these things is blind, and cannot see afar off, and has forgotten that he was purged from his old sins. ¹⁰ Therefore rather, brethren, give diligence to make your calling and election sure: for if you do these things, you shall never fall:

¹⁴ Therefore, beloved, seeing that you look for such things, be diligent that you may be found of him in peace, without spot, and blameless.

¹⁶ And we have known and believed the love that God has for us. God is love; and he that dwells in love dwells in God, and God in him.

⁸ And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him, whose names are not written in the book of life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.

⁸ The beast that you saw was, and is not; and shall ascend out of the bottomless pit, and go into perdition: and they that dwell on the earth shall wonder, whose names were not written in the book of life from the foundation of the world, when they behold the beast that was, and is not, and yet is.

⁴ Will you not from this time cry unto me, My father, you are the guide of my youth?

¹⁹ But I said, How shall I put you among the children, and give you a pleasant land, a beautiful heritage of the hosts of nations? and I said, You shall call me, My father; and shall not turn away from me.

³⁵ And all the inhabitants of the earth are reputed as nothing: and he does according to his will in the army of heaven, and among the inhabitants of the earth: and none can restrain his hand, or say unto him, What do you?

¹⁰ Yet the number of the children of Israel shall be as the sand of the sea, which cannot be measured nor numbered; and it shall come to pass, that in the place where it was said unto them, you are not my people, there it shall be said unto them, you are the sons of the living God.

²⁵ And knew her not till she had brought forth her firstborn son: and he called his name JESUS.

²⁶ Even so, Father: for so it seemed good in your sight.

²¹ In that hour Jesus rejoiced in spirit, and said, I thank you, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that you have hid these things from the wise and prudent, and have revealed them unto babes: even so, Father; for so it seemed good in your sight.

³² The men of Nineveh shall rise up in the judgment with this generation, and shall condemn it: for they repented at the preaching of Jonah; and, behold, a greater than Jonah is here.

¹² But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the children of God, even to them that believe on his name:

⁵² And not for that nation only, but that also he should gather together in one the children of God that were scattered abroad.

¹⁴ For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God. ¹⁵ For you have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but you have received the Spirit of adoption, by which we cry, Abba, Father. ¹⁶ The Spirit himself bears witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God: ¹⁷ And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, so that we may be also glorified together.

²³ And not only they, but ourselves also, who have the firstfruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting for the adoption, that is, the redemption of our body.

¹¹ (For the children being not yet born, neither having done any good or evil, that the purpose of God according to election might stand, not of works, but of him that calls;) ¹² It was said unto her, The elder shall serve the younger. ¹³ As it is written, Jacob have I loved, but Esau have I hated. ¹⁴ What shall we say then? Is there unrighteousness with God? God forbid. ¹⁵ For he says to Moses, I will have mercy on whom I will have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I will have compassion. ¹⁶ So then it is not of him that wills, nor of him that runs, but of God that shows mercy.

¹ Paul, called to be an apostle of Jesus Christ through the will of God, and Sosthenes our brother,

²¹ For since in the wisdom of God the world by wisdom knew not God, it pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe.

¹⁸ And will be a Father unto you, and you shall be my sons and daughters, says the Lord Almighty.

²⁶ For you are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus.

⁵ To redeem them that were under the law, that we might receive the adoption as sons. ⁶ And because you are sons, God has sent forth the Spirit of his Son into your hearts, crying, Abba, Father.

⁹ Having made known unto us the mystery of his will, according to his good pleasure which he has purposed in himself:

¹¹ In whom also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestinated according to the purpose of him who works all things after the counsel of his own will:

¹³ For it is God who works in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure.

¹¹ Therefore also we pray always for you, that our God would count you worthy of this calling, and fulfill all the good pleasure of his goodness, and the work of faith with power:

¹⁰ For it befitted him, for whom are all things, and by whom are all things, in bringing many sons unto glory, to make the captain of their salvation perfect through sufferings. ¹¹ For both he that sanctifies and they who are sanctified are all of one: for which cause he is not ashamed to call them brethren, ¹² Saying, I will declare your name unto my brethren, in the midst of the congregation will I sing praise unto you. ¹³ And again, I will put my trust in him. And again, Behold I and the children whom God has given me. ¹⁴ Since then the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same; that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil; ¹⁵ And deliver them who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage.

⁵ And you have forgotten the exhortation which speaks unto you as unto children, My son, despise not the chastening of the Lord, nor faint when you are rebuked of him: ⁶ For whom the Lord loves he chastens, and scourges every son whom he receives. ⁷ If you endure chastening, God deals with you as with sons; for what son is he whom the father chastens not? ⁸ But if you be without chastisement, of which all are partakers, then are you illegitimate children, and not sons. ⁹ Furthermore we have had fathers of our flesh who corrected us, and we gave them reverence: shall we not much rather be in subjection unto the Father of spirits, and live?

¹ Behold, what manner of love the Father has bestowed upon us, that we should be called the children of God: therefore the world knows us not, because it knew him not.

⁷ He that overcomes shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son.

²⁰ Deliver my soul from the sword; my life from the power of the dog.

⁵ That your beloved may be delivered; save with your right hand, and hear me.

³⁰ Then I was by him, like a master workman: and I was daily his delight, rejoicing always before him; ³¹ Rejoicing in the habitable part of his earth; and my delights were with the sons of men.

⁴ The LORD has made all things for himself: yea, even the wicked for the day of evil.

²¹ This people have I formed for myself; they shall show forth my praise.

²⁴ Surely, shall one say, in the LORD have I righteousness and strength: even to him shall men come; and all that are incensed against him shall be ashamed. ²⁵ In the LORD shall all the descendants of Israel be justified, and shall glory.

¹ Listen, O coastlands, unto me; and hearken, you people, from afar; The LORD has called me from the womb; from the body of my mother has he made mention of my name. ² And he has made my mouth like a sharp sword; in the shadow of his hand has he hid me, and made me a polished shaft; in his quiver has he hid me; ³ And said unto me, You are my servant, O Israel, in whom I will be glorified.

³ To provide for them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they might be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the LORD, that he might be glorified.

¹¹ For as the earth brings forth its bud, and as the garden causes the things that are sown in it to spring forth; so the Lord GOD will cause righteousness and praise to spring forth before all the nations.

⁶ In his days Judah shall be saved, and Israel shall dwell safely: and this is his name by which he shall be called, THE LORD OUR RIGHTEOUSNESS.

⁹ And it shall be to me a name of joy, a praise and an honor before all the nations of the earth, which shall hear all the good that I do unto them: and they shall fear and tremble for all the goodness and for all the prosperity that I provide for it.

⁷ Awake, O sword, against my shepherd, and against the man that is close to me, says the LORD of hosts: strike the shepherd, and the sheep shall be scattered: and I will turn my hand against the little ones.

¹⁷ And lo a voice from heaven, saying, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.

⁵ While he yet spoke, behold, a bright cloud overshadowed them: and behold a voice out of the cloud, which said, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased; hear you him.

¹⁴ Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men.

³⁵ The Father loves the Son, and has given all things into his hand.

¹⁷ Therefore does my Father love me, because I lay down my life, that I might take it again.

²² Even the righteousness of God which is by faith in Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference: ²³ For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; ²⁴ Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus: ²⁵ Whom God has set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God; ²⁶ To declare, I say, at this time his righteousness: that he might be just, and the justifier of him who believes in Jesus.

¹⁵ So also is the free gift not like the offense. For if through the offense of one many are dead, much more the grace of God, and the gift by grace, which is by one man, Jesus Christ, has abounded unto many. ¹⁶ So is the gift not like it was by one that sinned: for the judgment was by one to condemnation, but the free gift is of many offenses unto justification. ¹⁷ For if by one man's offense death reigned by one; much more they who receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ.) ¹⁸ Therefore as by the offense of one judgment came upon all men to condemnation; even so by the righteousness of one the free gift came upon all men unto justification of life. ¹⁹ For as by one man's disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous.

¹⁵ For all things are for your sakes, that the abundant grace might through the thanksgiving of many increase to the glory of God.

⁷ In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace; ⁸ Which he has abounded toward us in all wisdom and prudence;

¹² That we should be to the praise of his glory, who first trusted in Christ.

¹⁴ Who is the guarantee of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, unto the praise of his glory.

¹⁸ The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that you may know what is the hope of his calling, and what is the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints,

⁷ That in the ages to come he might show the exceeding riches of his grace in his kindness toward us through Christ Jesus.

¹⁰ To the intent that now unto the principalities and powers in heavenly places might be known by the church the manifold wisdom of God, ¹¹ According to the eternal purpose which he purposed in Christ Jesus our Lord:

¹¹ Being filled with the fruits of righteousness, which are by Jesus Christ, unto the glory and praise of God.

⁹ And be found in him, not having my own righteousness, which is of the law, but that which is through the faith of Christ, the righteousness which is of God by faith:

¹⁹ But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.

¹³ Who has delivered us from the power of darkness, and has translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son:

⁸ In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ: ⁹ Who shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord, and from the glory of his power; ¹⁰ When he shall come to be glorified in his saints, and to be admired in all them that believe (because our testimony among you was believed) in that day.

¹⁴ And the grace of our Lord was exceedingly abundant with faith and love which is in Christ Jesus. ¹⁵ This is a faithful saying, and worthy of all acceptance, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners; of whom I am chief. ¹⁶ But for this cause I obtained mercy, that in me first Jesus Christ might show forth all longsuffering, for an example to them who should hereafter believe on him to life everlasting.

⁵ You also, as living stones, are built up into a spiritual house, a holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God by Jesus Christ.

¹¹ If any man speaks, let him speak as the oracles of God; if any man ministers, let him do it as of the ability which God gives: that God in all things may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom be praise and dominion forever and ever. Amen.

⁷ Keeping mercy for thousands, forgiving iniquity and transgression and sin, and that will by no means clear the guilty; visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children, and upon the children's children, unto the third and to the fourth generation.

²⁴ Then he is gracious unto him, and says, Deliver him from going down to the pit: I have found a ransom.

¹ [A Psalm of David. A maschil.] Blessed is he whose transgression is forgiven, whose sin is covered. ² Blessed is the man unto whom the LORD imputes not iniquity, and in whose spirit there is no guile.

⁵ For you, Lord, are good, and ready to forgive; and abundant in mercy unto all them that call upon you.

⁴ But there is forgiveness with you, that you may be feared.

⁷ Let Israel hope in the LORD: for with the LORD there is mercy, and with him is abundant redemption.

²⁵ I, even I, am he that blots out your transgressions for my own sake, and will not remember your sins.

⁶ Seek you the LORD while he may be found, call you upon him while he is near: ⁷ Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the LORD, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon.

³⁴ And they shall teach no more every man his neighbor, and every man his brother, saying, Know the LORD: for they shall all know me, from the least of them unto the greatest of them, says the LORD: for I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sin no more.

⁹ To the Lord our God belong mercies and forgivenesses, though we have rebelled against him;

¹⁹ O Lord, hear; O Lord, forgive; O Lord, hearken and do; defer not, for your own sake, O my God: for your city and your people are called by your name.

²⁴ Seventy weeks are determined upon your people and upon your holy city, to finish the transgression, and to make an end of sins, and to make reconciliation for iniquity, and to bring in everlasting righteousness, and to seal up the vision and prophecy, and to anoint the most Holy. ²⁵ Know therefore and understand, that from the going forth of the commandment to restore and to build Jerusalem unto the Messiah, the Prince, shall be seven weeks, and threescore and two weeks: the street shall be built again, and the wall, even in troublesome times. ²⁶ And after threescore and two weeks shall Messiah be cut off, but not for himself: and the people of the prince that shall come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary; and its end shall be with a flood, and unto the end of the war desolations are determined.

² And he prayed unto the LORD, and said, I pray you, O LORD, was not this my saying, when I was yet in my country? Therefore I fled before unto Tarshish: for I knew that you are a gracious God, and merciful, slow to anger, and of great kindness, and you relent from the destruction.

¹⁸ Who is a God like unto you, who pardons iniquity, and passes by the transgression of the remnant of his heritage? he retains not his anger forever, because he delights in mercy.

¹¹ As for you also, because of the blood of your covenant I have sent forth your prisoners out of the pit in which is no water.

¹ In that day there shall be a fountain opened to the house of David and to the inhabitants of Jerusalem, for sin and for uncleanness.

²⁸ Even as the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many.

²⁸ For this is my blood of the new covenant, which is shed for many for the remission of sins.

²⁴ And he said unto them, This is my blood of the new covenant, which is shed for many.

⁷⁷ To give knowledge of salvation unto his people by the remission of their sins,

⁴⁰ And Jesus answering said unto him, Simon, I have something to say unto you. And he said, Teacher, say on. ⁴¹ There was a certain creditor who had two debtors: the one owed five hundred pence, and the other fifty. ⁴² And when they had nothing to pay, he frankly forgave them both. Tell me therefore, which of them will love him most?

⁴⁷ Therefore I say unto you, Her sins, which are many, are forgiven; for she loved much: but to whom little is forgiven, the same loves little. ⁴⁸ And he said unto her, Your sins are forgiven. ⁴⁹ And they that sat to eat with him began to say within themselves, Who is this that forgives sins also? ⁵⁰ And he said to the woman, Your faith has saved you; go in peace.

⁴⁷ And that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem.

²³ Whosoever’s sins you remit, they are remitted unto them; and whosoever’s sins you retain, they are retained.

³⁸ Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.

¹⁹ Repent therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord;

⁴³ To him give all the prophets witness, that through his name whosoever believes in him shall receive remission of sins.

³⁸ Be it known unto you therefore, men and brethren, that through this man is preached unto you the forgiveness of sins: ³⁹ And by him all that believe are justified from all things, from which you could not be justified by the law of Moses.

²⁸ Take heed therefore unto yourselves, and to all the flock, over which the Holy Spirit has made you overseers, to feed the church of God, which he has purchased with his own blood.

⁴ Or despise you the riches of his goodness and forbearance and longsuffering; not knowing that the goodness of God leads you to repentance?

²⁴ Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus:

⁶ Even as David also describes the blessedness of the man, unto whom God imputes righteousness without works, ⁷ Saying, Blessed are they whose iniquities are forgiven, and whose sins are covered. ⁸ Blessed is the man to whom the Lord will not impute sin. ⁹ Comes this blessedness then upon the circumcision only, or upon the uncircumcision also? for we say that faith was reckoned to Abraham for righteousness.

²³ And that he might make known the riches of his glory on the vessels of mercy, which he had before prepared unto glory,

⁹ For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that, though he was rich, yet for your sakes he became poor, that you through his poverty might be rich.

⁶ To the praise of the glory of his grace, in which he has made us accepted in the beloved.

⁴ But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love with which he loved us,

⁸ Unto me, who am less than the least of all saints, is this grace given, that I should preach among the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ;

¹⁶ That he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man;

¹⁴ In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins:

²⁷ To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory:

¹³ And you, being dead in your sins and the uncircumcision of your flesh, has he made alive together with him, having forgiven you all trespasses;

⁶ Who gave himself a ransom for all, this to be a testimony at the proper time.

¹⁴ Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a people for his own, zealous of good works.

⁶ Whom he shed on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Savior;

¹² Neither by the blood of goats and calves, but by his own blood he entered in once into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption for us. ¹³ For if the blood of bulls and of goats, and the ashes of a heifer sprinkling the unclean, sanctifies to the purifying of the flesh: ¹⁴ How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God? ¹⁵ And for this cause he is the mediator of the new covenant, that by means of death, for the redemption of the transgressions that were under the first covenant, they who are called might receive the promise of eternal inheritance.

²² And almost all things are by the law purged with blood; and without shedding of blood is no remission.

⁴ For it is not possible that the blood of bulls and of goats should take away sins. ⁵ Therefore when he comes into the world, he says, Sacrifice and offering you desired not, but a body have you prepared me: ⁶ In burnt offerings and sacrifices for sin you have had no pleasure. ⁷ Then said I, Lo, I come (in the volume of the book it is written of me,) to do your will, O God. ⁸ Above when he said, Sacrifice and offering and burnt offerings and offering for sin you desired not, neither had pleasure in them; which are offered by the law; ⁹ Then said he, Lo, I come to do your will, O God. He takes away the first, that he may establish the second. ¹⁰ By the which will we are sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all. ¹¹ And every priest stands daily ministering and offering frequently the same sacrifices, which can never take away sins: ¹² But this man, after he had offered one sacrifice for sins forever, sat down on the right hand of God;

¹⁷ And their sins and iniquities will I remember no more. ¹⁸ Now where remission of these is, there is no more offering for sin.

¹⁸ Since you know that you were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain manner of life received by tradition from your fathers; ¹⁹ But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot:

²⁴ Who his own self bore our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes you were healed.

¹⁸ For Christ also has once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but made alive by the Spirit:

⁷ But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanses us from all sin. ⁸ If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. ⁹ If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

² And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world.

¹² I write unto you, little children, because your sins are forgiven you for his name's sake.

¹⁰ In this is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins.

⁹ And they sang a new song, saying, You are worthy to take the scroll, and to open the seals thereof: for you were slain, and have redeemed us to God by your blood out of every tribe, and tongue, and people, and nation;

⁴ These are they who were not defiled with women; for they are virgins. These are they who follow the Lamb wherever he goes. These were redeemed from among men, being the first fruits unto God and to the Lamb.

²⁴ O LORD, how manifold are your works! in wisdom have you made them all: the earth is full of your riches.

¹² I wisdom dwell with prudence, and find out knowledge and discretion.

¹³ Behold, my servant shall deal prudently, he shall be exalted and extolled, and be very high.

²⁰ Daniel answered and said, Blessed be the name of God forever and ever: for wisdom and might are his: ²¹ And he changes the times and the seasons: he removes kings, and sets up kings: he gives wisdom unto the wise, and knowledge to them that know understanding:

¹⁹ The Son of man came eating and drinking, and they say, Behold a man gluttonous, and a drunkard, a friend of tax collectors and sinners. But wisdom is justified of her children.

¹⁵ So also is the free gift not like the offense. For if through the offense of one many are dead, much more the grace of God, and the gift by grace, which is by one man, Jesus Christ, has abounded unto many.

²⁰ Moreover the law entered, that the offense might abound. But where sin abounded, grace did much more abound: ²¹ That as sin has reigned unto death, even so might grace reign through righteousness unto eternal life by Jesus Christ our Lord.

³³ O the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! how unsearchable are his judgments, and his ways past finding out!

¹⁹ For it is written, I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, and will bring to nothing the understanding of the prudent. ²⁰ Where is the wise? where is the scribe? where is the disputer of this world? has not God made foolish the wisdom of this world? ²¹ For since in the wisdom of God the world by wisdom knew not God, it pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe. ²² For the Jews require a sign, and the Greeks seek after wisdom: ²³ But we preach Christ crucified, unto the Jews a stumbling block, and unto the Greeks foolishness; ²⁴ But unto them who are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God, and the wisdom of God.

⁷ But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, even the hidden wisdom, which God ordained before the world unto our glory:

³ In whom are hid all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.

²⁵ To the only wise God our Savior, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and forever. Amen.

¹² Saying with a loud voice, Worthy is the Lamb that was slain to receive power, and riches, and wisdom, and strength, and honor, and glory, and blessing.

¹³ But he is of one mind, and who can turn him? and what his soul desires, even that he does. ¹⁴ For he performs the thing that is appointed for me: and many such things are with him.

¹¹ The counsel of the LORD stands forever, the thoughts of his heart to all generations.

²⁴ The LORD of hosts has sworn, saying, Surely as I have thought, so shall it come to pass; and as I have purposed, so shall it stand: ²⁵ That I will break the Assyrian in my land, and upon my mountains tread him under foot: then shall his yoke depart from off them, and his burden depart from off their shoulders. ²⁶ This is the purpose that is purposed upon the whole earth: and this is the hand that is stretched out upon all the nations. ²⁷ For the LORD of hosts has purposed, and who shall annul it? and his hand is stretched out, and who shall turn it back?

¹⁰ Declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times the things that are not yet done, saying, My counsel shall stand, and I will do all my pleasure: ¹¹ Calling a ravenous bird from the east, the man that executes my counsel from a far country: yea, I have spoken it, I will also bring it to pass; I have purposed it, I will also do it.

²⁹ Why will you plead with me? you all have transgressed against me, says the LORD.

³⁷ Who is he that says, and it comes to pass, when the Lord commands it not? ³⁸ Out of the mouth of the most High proceeds not evil and good?

¹¹ He answered and said unto them, Because it is given unto you to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it is not given.

²³ Him, being delivered by the determinate counsel and foreknowledge of God, you have taken, and by wicked hands have crucified and slain:

²⁸ To do whatsoever your hand and your counsel determined before to be done.

²⁸ And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.

²⁵ Now to him who is able to establish you according to my gospel, and the preaching of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery, which was kept secret since the world began, ²⁶ But now is made manifest, and by the scriptures of the prophets, according to the commandment of the everlasting God, made known to all nations for the obedience of faith: ²⁷ To God only wise, be glory through Jesus Christ forever. Amen.

¹⁰ But God has revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searches all things, yea, the deep things of God. ¹¹ For what man knows the things of a man, except the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God knows no man, but the Spirit of God. ¹² Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God.

¹² For I neither received it of man, neither was I taught it, but by the revelation of Jesus Christ.

¹⁶ To reveal his Son in me, that I might preach him among the Gentiles; immediately I conferred not with flesh and blood: ¹⁷ That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him: ¹⁸ The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that you may know what is the hope of his calling, and what is the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints,

³ How that by revelation he made known unto me the mystery; (as I wrote before in few words, ⁴ By which, when you read, you may understand my knowledge in the mystery of Christ) ⁵ Which in other ages was not made known unto the sons of men, as it is now revealed unto his holy apostles and prophets by the Spirit; ⁶ That the Gentiles should be fellow heirs, and of the same body, and partakers of his promise in Christ by the gospel: ⁷ Of which I was made a minister, according to the gift of the grace of God given unto me by the effectual working of his power. ⁸ Unto me, who am less than the least of all saints, is this grace given, that I should preach among the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ; ⁹ And to make all men see what is the plan of the mystery, which from the beginning of the ages has been hid in God, who created all things by Jesus Christ:

¹¹ According to the eternal purpose which he purposed in Christ Jesus our Lord:

²⁶ Even the mystery which has been hid from ages and from generations, but now is made manifest to his saints: ²⁷ To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory: ²⁸ Whom we preach, warning every man, and teaching every man in all wisdom; that we may present every man perfect in Christ Jesus:

¹⁶ And without doubt great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory.

¹⁰ The scepter shall not depart from Judah, nor a lawgiver from between his feet, until Shiloh comes; and unto him shall the gathering of the people be.

² And it shall come to pass in the last days, that the mountain of the LORD's house shall be established in the top of the mountains, and shall be exalted above the hills; and all nations shall flow unto it. ³ And many people shall go and say, Come, and let us go up to the mountain of the LORD, to the house of the God of Jacob; and he will teach us of his ways, and we will walk in his paths: for out of Zion shall go forth the law, and the word of the LORD from Jerusalem. ⁴ And he shall judge between the nations, and shall rebuke many people: and they shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruning hooks: nation shall not lift up sword against nation, neither shall they learn war any more.

⁴⁴ And in the days of these kings shall the God of heaven set up a kingdom, which shall never be destroyed: and the kingdom shall not be left to other people, but it shall break in pieces and consume all these kingdoms, and it shall stand forever.

²⁴ Seventy weeks are determined upon your people and upon your holy city, to finish the transgression, and to make an end of sins, and to make reconciliation for iniquity, and to bring in everlasting righteousness, and to seal up the vision and prophecy, and to anoint the most Holy. ²⁵ Know therefore and understand, that from the going forth of the commandment to restore and to build Jerusalem unto the Messiah, the Prince, shall be seven weeks, and threescore and two weeks: the street shall be built again, and the wall, even in troublesome times. ²⁶ And after threescore and two weeks shall Messiah be cut off, but not for himself: and the people of the prince that shall come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary; and its end shall be with a flood, and unto the end of the war desolations are determined. ²⁷ And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the offering to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate.

¹¹ In that day will I raise up the tabernacle of David that is fallen, and close up its breaches; and I will raise up its ruins, and I will rebuild it as in the days of old:

¹ But in the last days it shall come to pass, that the mountain of the house of the LORD shall be established on the top of the mountains, and it shall be exalted above the hills; and people shall flow unto it. ² And many nations shall come, and say, Come, and let us go up to the mountain of the LORD, and to the house of the God of Jacob; and he will teach us of his ways, and we will walk in his paths: for the law shall go forth out of Zion, and the word of the LORD from Jerusalem.

¹ Behold, I will send my messenger, and he shall prepare the way before me: and the Lord, whom you seek, shall suddenly come to his temple, even the messenger of the covenant, whom you delight in: behold, he shall come, says the LORD of hosts.

³² And before him shall be gathered all nations: and he shall separate them one from another, as a shepherd divides his sheep from the goats:

¹⁵ And saying, The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent, and believe the gospel.

²² Whether Paul, or Apollos, or Cephas, or the world, or life, or death, or things present, or things to come; all are yours; ²³ And you are Christ's; and Christ is God's.

¹¹ Now all these things happened unto them for examples: and they are written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the ages are come.

³ But I would have you know, that the head of every man is Christ; and the head of the woman is the man; and the head of Christ is God.

⁴ But when the fullness of the time came, God sent forth his Son, made of a woman, made under the law,

²² And has put all things under his feet, and gave him to be the head over all things to the church,

¹⁵ Having abolished in his flesh the enmity, even the law of commandments contained in ordinances; to make in himself of two one new man, so making peace;

¹⁵ Of whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named,

⁹ Therefore God also has highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name: ¹⁰ That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth;

¹⁶ For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him:

²⁰ And, having made peace through the blood of his cross, by him to reconcile all things unto himself; by him, I say, whether they be things in earth, or things in heaven.

¹¹ Where there is neither Greek nor Jew, circumcision nor uncircumcision, Barbarian, Scythian, bond nor free: but Christ is all, and in all.

² Has in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he has appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds;

¹⁰ Which stood only in foods and drinks, and various washings, and carnal ordinances, imposed on them until the time of reformation.

⁴⁰ God having provided some better thing for us, that they without us should not be made perfect.

²² But you are come unto mount Zion, and unto the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and to an innumerable company of angels, ²³ To the general assembly and church of the firstborn, who are written in heaven, and to God the Judge of all, and to the spirits of just men made perfect, ²⁴ And to Jesus the mediator of the new covenant, and to the blood of sprinkling, that speaks better things than that of Abel.

⁴ And I heard the number of them who were sealed: and there were sealed a hundred and forty and four thousand of all the tribes of the children of Israel. ⁵ Of the tribe of Judah were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Reuben were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Gad were sealed twelve thousand. ⁶ Of the tribe of Asher were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Naphtali were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Manasseh were sealed twelve thousand. ⁷ Of the tribe of Simeon were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Levi were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Issachar were sealed twelve thousand. ⁸ Of the tribe of Zebulun were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Joseph were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Benjamin were sealed twelve thousand. ⁹ After this I beheld, and, lo, a great multitude, which no man could number, of all nations, and tribes, and people, and tongues, stood before the throne, and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, and palms in their hands; ¹⁰ And cried with a loud voice, saying, Salvation to our God who sits upon the throne, and unto the Lamb. ¹¹ And all the angels stood round about the throne, and about the elders and the four living creatures, and fell before the throne on their faces, and worshiped God, ¹² Saying, Amen: Blessing, and glory, and wisdom, and thanksgiving, and honor, and power, and might, be unto our God forever and ever. Amen.

⁴ And the four and twenty elders and the four living creatures fell down and worshiped God that sat on the throne, saying, Amen; Alleluia. ⁵ And a voice came out of the throne, saying, Praise our God, all you his servants, and you that fear him, both small and great. ⁶ And I heard as it were the voice of a great multitude, and as the voice of many waters, and as the voice of mighty thunderings, saying, Alleluia: for the Lord God omnipotent reigns.

²⁰ But the LORD has taken you, and brought you forth out of the iron furnace, even out of Egypt, to be unto him a people of inheritance, as you are this day.

¹³ With him is wisdom and strength, he has counsel and understanding.

¹⁸ The LORD knows the days of the upright: and their inheritance shall be forever.

¹⁴ Counsel is mine, and sound wisdom: I am understanding; I have strength.

¹⁹ That say, Let him make speed, and hasten his work, that we may see it: and let the counsel of the Holy One of Israel draw near and come, that we may know it!

²⁹ This also comes forth from the LORD of hosts, who is wonderful in counsel, and excellent in wisdom.

¹³ Who has directed the Spirit of the LORD, or being his counselor has taught him? ¹⁴ With whom took he counsel, and who instructed him, and taught him in the path of justice, and taught him knowledge, and showed to him the way of understanding?

¹⁸ For who has stood in the counsel of the LORD, and has perceived and heard his word? who has marked his word, and heard it?

¹⁹ Great in counsel, and mighty in work: for your eyes are open upon all the ways of the sons of men: to give everyone according to his ways, and according to the fruit of his doings:

¹³ Even he shall build the temple of the LORD; and he shall bear the glory, and shall sit and rule upon his throne; and he shall be a priest upon his throne: and the counsel of peace shall be between them both.

²⁷ For I have not shunned to declare unto you all the counsel of God.

³² And now, brethren, I commend you to God, and to the word of his grace, which is able to build you up, and to give you an inheritance among all them who are sanctified.

¹⁸ To open their eyes, and to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan unto God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins, and inheritance among them who are sanctified by faith that is in me.

¹⁷ And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, so that we may be also glorified together.

³⁴ For who has known the mind of the Lord? or who has been his counselor?

¹⁸ For if the inheritance is of the law, it is no more of promise: but God gave it to Abraham by promise.

⁵ Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will,

⁸ Which he has abounded toward us in all wisdom and prudence;

¹² Giving thanks unto the Father, who has made us fit to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light:

²⁴ Knowing that of the Lord you shall receive the reward of the inheritance: for you serve the Lord Christ.

⁷ That being justified by his grace, we should be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life.

¹⁷ So God, willing more abundantly to show unto the heirs of promise the immutability of his counsel, confirmed it by an oath:

⁴ To an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and that fades not away, reserved in heaven for you,

⁹ Not rendering evil for evil, or railing for railing: but on the contrary blessing; knowing that you are unto this called, that you should inherit a blessing.

¹² Kiss the Son, lest he be angry, and you perish in the way, when his wrath is kindled but a little. Blessed are all they that put their trust in him.

³ Put not your trust in princes, nor in the son of man, in whom there is no help. ⁴ His breath goes forth, he returns to his earth; in that very day his thoughts perish. ⁵ Happy is he that has the God of Jacob for his help, whose hope is in the LORD his God:

¹⁰ And in that day there shall be a root of Jesse, who shall stand as an ensign of the people; to it shall the Gentiles seek: and his place of rest shall be glorious.

² Behold, God is my salvation; I will trust, and not be afraid: for the LORD GOD is my strength and my song; he also has become my salvation.

¹ Behold, a king shall reign in righteousness, and princes shall rule in justice. ² And a man shall be as a hiding place from the wind, and a refuge from the tempest; as rivers of water in a dry place, as the shadow of a great rock in a weary land.

¹ Behold my servant, whom I uphold; my elect, in whom my soul delights; I have put my spirit upon him: he shall bring forth justice to the Gentiles. ² He shall not cry, nor lift up, nor cause his voice to be heard in the street. ³ A bruised reed shall he not break, and the smoking flax shall he not quench: he shall bring forth justice unto truth. ⁴ He shall not fail nor be discouraged, till he has established justice in the earth: and the coastlands shall wait for his law.

²³ I have sworn by myself, the word has gone out of my mouth in righteousness, and shall not return, That unto me every knee shall bow, every tongue shall swear.

²⁵ In the LORD shall all the descendants of Israel be justified, and shall glory.

⁵ Thus says the LORD; Cursed be the man that trusts in man, and makes flesh his arm, and whose heart departs from the LORD. ⁶ For he shall be like the shrub in the desert, and shall not see when good comes; but shall inhabit the parched places in the wilderness, in a salt land which is not inhabited. ⁷ Blessed is the man that trusts in the LORD, and whose hope the LORD is.

¹⁸ Behold my servant, whom I have chosen; my beloved, in whom my soul is well pleased: I will put my spirit upon him, and he shall show justice to the Gentiles. ¹⁹ He shall not strive, nor cry; neither shall any man hear his voice in the streets. ²⁰ A bruised reed shall he not break, and smoking flax shall he not quench, till he sends forth justice unto victory. ²¹ And in his name shall the Gentiles trust.

¹ Let not your heart be troubled: you believe in God, believe also in me.

¹² And again, Isaiah says, There shall be a root of Jesse, and he that shall rise to reign over the Gentiles; in him shall the Gentiles trust. ¹³ Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that you may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Spirit.

¹³ In whom you also trusted, after you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after you believed, you were sealed with that Holy Spirit of promise, ¹⁴ Who is the guarantee of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, unto the praise of his glory.

²¹ Unto him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end. Amen.

¹³ But we are bound to give thanks always to God for you, brethren beloved of the Lord, because God has from the beginning chosen you to salvation through sanctification of the Spirit and belief of the truth:

¹² For the which cause I also suffer these things: nevertheless I am not ashamed: for I know whom I have believed, and am persuaded that he is able to keep that which I have committed unto him against that day.

¹⁸ Of his own will begat he us with the word of truth, that we should be a kind of firstfruits of his creatures.

²¹ Who by him do believe in God, that raised him up from the dead, and gave him glory; that your faith and hope might be in God.

⁴³ And take not the word of truth utterly out of my mouth; for I have hoped in your judgments.

²⁸ And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions:

¹⁵ And he said unto them, Go you into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. ¹⁶ He that believes and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believes not shall be condemned.

¹³ If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children: how much more shall your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask him?

⁴⁹ And, behold, I send the promise of my Father upon you: but tarry you in the city of Jerusalem, until you are endued with power from on high.

¹⁷ For the law was given by Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ.

²⁷ Labor not for the food which perishes, but for that food which endures unto everlasting life, which the Son of man shall give unto you: for on him has God the Father set his seal.

¹⁶ And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you forever; ¹⁷ Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it sees him not, neither knows him: but you know him; for he dwells with you, and shall be in you.

²⁶ But the Comforter, who is the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.

²⁶ But when the Comforter is come, whom I will send unto you from the Father, even the Spirit of truth, who proceeds from the Father, he shall testify of me:

⁷ Nevertheless I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you. ⁸ And when he is come, he will convict the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment: ⁹ Of sin, because they believe not on me; ¹⁰ Of righteousness, because I go to my Father, and you see me no more; ¹¹ Of judgment, because the prince of this world is judged. ¹² I have yet many things to say unto you, but you cannot bear them now. ¹³ But when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will show you things to come. ¹⁴ He shall glorify me: for he shall receive of mine, and shall show it unto you. ¹⁵ All things that the Father has are mine: therefore said I, that he shall take of mine, and shall show it unto you.

⁴ And, being assembled together with them, commanded them that they should not depart from Jerusalem, but wait for the promise of the Father, which, said he, you have heard of me.

¹⁶ But this is that which was spoken by the prophet Joel; ¹⁷ And it shall come to pass in the last days, says God, I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams: ¹⁸ And on my servants and on my handmaidens I will pour out in those days of my Spirit; and they shall prophesy: ¹⁹ And I will show wonders in heaven above, and signs in the earth beneath; blood, and fire, and vapor of smoke: ²⁰ The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before that great and notable day of the Lord comes: ²¹ And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved. ²² You men of Israel, hear these words; Jesus of Nazareth, a man approved of God among you by miracles and wonders and signs, which God did by him in the midst of you, as you yourselves also know:

³³ Therefore being by the right hand of God exalted, and having received of the Father the promise of the Holy Spirit, he has poured forth this, which you now see and hear.

²⁶ Men and brethren, children of the stock of Abraham, and whosoever among you fears God, to you is the word of this salvation sent.

¹⁶ For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believes; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.

¹¹ And he received the sign of circumcision, a seal of the righteousness of the faith which he had yet being uncircumcised: that he might be the father of all them that believe, though they be not circumcised; that righteousness might be imputed unto them also:

¹⁷ But God be thanked, that you were the servants of sin, but you have obeyed from the heart that form of doctrine which was delivered you.

¹⁴ How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher? ¹⁵ And how shall they preach, except they be sent? as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things! ¹⁶ But they have not all obeyed the gospel. For Isaiah says, Lord, who has believed our report? ¹⁷ So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

²² Who has also sealed us, and given the earnest of the Spirit in our hearts.

⁷ By the word of truth, by the power of God, by the armor of righteousness on the right hand and on the left,

¹⁴ That the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ; that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.

¹¹ Therefore remember, that you being in time past Gentiles in the flesh, who are called Uncircumcision by that which is called the Circumcision in the flesh made by hands; ¹² That at that time you were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope, and without God in the world:

²¹ If so be that you have heard him, and have been taught by him, as the truth is in Jesus:

³⁰ And grieve not the holy Spirit of God, by whom you are sealed unto the day of redemption.

⁴ Since we heard of your faith in Christ Jesus, and of the love which you have to all the saints, ⁵ For the hope which is laid up for you in heaven, of which you heard before in the word of the truth of the gospel; ⁶ Which is come unto you, as it is in all the world; and brings forth fruit, as it does also in you, since the day you heard of it, and knew the grace of God in truth:

²¹ And you, that were once alienated and enemies in your mind by wicked works, yet now has he reconciled ²² In the body of his flesh through death, to present you holy and unblamable and unreprovable in his sight: ²³ If you continue in the faith grounded and settled, and be not moved away from the hope of the gospel, which you have heard, and which was preached to every creature who is under heaven; of which I Paul am made a minister;

¹³ For this cause also thank we God without ceasing, because, when you received the word of God which you heard of us, you received it not as the word of men, but as it is in truth, the word of God, which effectually works also in you that believe.

¹⁵ Study to show yourself approved unto God, a workman that needs not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.

¹⁵ And that from a child you have known the holy scriptures, which are able to make you wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.

¹¹ For the grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men,

³ How shall we escape, if we neglect so great a salvation; which at the first began to be spoken by the Lord, and was confirmed unto us by them that heard him;

¹⁰ Who in time past were not a people, but are now the people of God: who had not obtained mercy, but now have obtained mercy.

² And I saw another angel ascending from the east, having the seal of the living God: and he cried with a loud voice to the four angels, to whom it was given to hurt the earth and the sea,

²⁴ And in all the land of your possession you shall grant a redemption for the land. ²⁵ If your brother becomes poor, and has sold away some of his possession, and if any of his kin come to redeem it, then shall he redeem that which his brother sold. ²⁶ And if the man has none to redeem it, but he becomes able to redeem it; ²⁷ Then let him count the years of the sale thereof, and restore the overpayment unto the man to whom he sold it; that he may return unto his possession. ²⁸ But if he is not able to restore it to himself, then that which is sold shall remain in the hand of him that has bought it until the year of jubilee: and in the jubilee it shall be released, and he shall return unto his possession. ²⁹ And if a man sells a dwelling house in a walled city, then he may redeem it within a whole year after it is sold; within a full year may he redeem it. ³⁰ And if it is not redeemed within the space of a full year, then the house that is in the walled city shall be established forever to him that bought it throughout his generations: it shall not be released in the jubilee. ³¹ But the houses of the villages which have no wall round about them shall be counted as the fields of the country: they may be redeemed, and they shall be released in the jubilee. ³² Nevertheless the cities of the Levites, and the houses of the cities of their possession, may the Levites redeem at any time. ³³ And if a man purchases a house from the Levites, then the house that was sold, and the city of his possession, shall be released in the year of jubilee: for the houses of the cities of the Levites are their possession among the children of Israel. ³⁴ But the field of the common lands of their cities may not be sold; for it is their perpetual possession.

² Remember your congregation, which you have purchased of old; the tribe of your inheritance, which you have redeemed; this mount Zion, where you have dwelt.

⁵⁴ And he brought them to the border of his sanctuary, even to this mountain, which his right hand had purchased.

⁷ Behold, Hanamel the son of Shallum your uncle shall come unto you, saying, Buy my field that is in Anathoth: for the right of redemption is yours to buy it. ⁸ So Hanamel my uncle’s son came to me in the court of the prison according to the word of the LORD, and said unto me, Buy my field, I pray you, that is in Anathoth, which is in the country of Benjamin: for the right of inheritance is yours, and the redemption is yours; buy it for yourself. Then I knew that this was the word of the LORD.

²⁸ And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draws near.

⁵ Now he that has made us for the same thing is God, who also has given unto us the earnest of the Spirit.

⁶ And because you are sons, God has sent forth the Spirit of his Son into your hearts, crying, Abba, Father.

⁶ To the praise of the glory of his grace, in which he has made us accepted in the beloved. ⁷ In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace;

³ But to the saints that are in the earth, and to the noble, in whom is all my delight.

³ We give thanks to God and the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, praying always for you, ⁴ Since we heard of your faith in Christ Jesus, and of the love which you have to all the saints,

³ Remembering without ceasing your work of faith, and labor of love, and patience of hope in our Lord Jesus Christ, in the sight of God and our Father;

⁹ But concerning brotherly love you need not that I write unto you: for you yourselves are taught of God to love one another.

³ We are bound to thank God always for you, brethren, as it is fitting, because your faith grows exceedingly, and the love of every one of you all toward each other abounds;

⁵ Now the end of the commandment is love out of a pure heart, and of a good conscience, and of faith unfeigned:

¹⁴ And the grace of our Lord was exceedingly abundant with faith and love which is in Christ Jesus.

⁵ Hearing of your love and faith, which you have toward the Lord Jesus, and toward all saints;

¹⁰ For God is not unrighteous to forget your work and labor of love, which you have showed toward his name, in that you have ministered to the saints, and do minister.

²² Seeing you have purified your souls in obeying the truth through the Spirit unto sincere love of the brethren, see that you love one another with a pure heart fervently:

¹⁷ But whoever has this world's goods, and sees his brother have need, and shuts up his heart of compassion from him, how dwells the love of God in him?

²¹ And this commandment have we from him, That he who loves God love his brother also.

¹⁴ But think of me when it shall be well with you, and show kindness, I pray you, unto me, and make mention of me unto Pharaoh, and bring me out of this house:

⁸ And the children of Israel said to Samuel, Cease not to cry unto the LORD our God for us, that he will save us out of the hand of the Philistines.

²³ Moreover as for me, God forbid that I should sin against the LORD in ceasing to pray for you: but I will teach you the good and the right way:

⁶ I have set watchmen upon your walls, O Jerusalem, who shall never hold their peace day nor night: you that make mention of the LORD, keep not silence.

⁸ First, I thank my God through Jesus Christ for you all, that your faith is spoken of throughout the whole world. ⁹ For God is my witness, whom I serve with my spirit in the gospel of his Son, that without ceasing I make mention of you always in my prayers;

³ I thank my God upon every remembrance of you, ⁴ Always in every prayer of mine for you all making request with joy,

³ We give thanks to God and the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, praying always for you,

⁹ For this cause we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray for you, and to desire that you might be filled with the knowledge of his will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding;

² We give thanks to God always for you all, making mention of you in our prayers;

¹⁷ Pray without ceasing.

³⁸ And Pharaoh said unto his servants, Can we find such a one as this is, a man in whom the Spirit of God is? ³⁹ And Pharaoh said unto Joseph, Since God has showed you all this, there is none so discreet and wise as you are:

¹¹ Yours, O LORD, is the greatness, and the power, and the glory, and the victory, and the majesty: for all that is in the heaven and in the earth is yours; yours is the kingdom, O LORD, and you are exalted as head above all.

⁷ Lift up your heads, O you gates; and be you lifted up, you everlasting doors; and the King of glory shall come in.

¹⁰ Who is this King of glory? The LORD of hosts, he is the King of glory. Selah.

³ The voice of the LORD is upon the waters: the God of glory thunders: the LORD is upon many waters.

⁵ Then shall you understand the fear of the LORD, and find the knowledge of God.

² And the spirit of the LORD shall rest upon him, the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and might, the spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the LORD;

¹¹ Has a nation changed its gods, which are yet no gods? but my people have changed their glory for that which does not profit.

²⁴ But let him that glories glory in this, that he understands and knows me, that I am the LORD who exercises lovingkindness, justice, and righteousness, in the earth: for in these things I delight, says the LORD.

⁷ And I will give them a heart to know me, that I am the LORD: and they shall be my people, and I will be their God: for they shall return unto me with their whole heart.

²⁸ But there is a God in heaven that reveals secrets, and makes known to king Nebuchadnezzar what shall be in the latter days. Your dream, and the visions of your head upon your bed, are these; ²⁹ As for you, O king, your thoughts came into your mind upon your bed, what should come to pass hereafter: and he that reveals secrets makes known to you what shall come to pass. ³⁰ But as for me, this secret is not revealed to me for any wisdom that I have more than anyone living, but for their sakes that shall make known the interpretation to the king, and that you might know the thoughts of your heart.

¹¹ There is a man in your kingdom, in whom is the spirit of the holy gods; and in the days of your father light and understanding and wisdom, like the wisdom of the gods, was found in him; whom the king Nebuchadnezzar your father, the king, I say, your father, made master of the magicians, astrologers, Chaldeans, and soothsayers;

¹ In the third year of Cyrus king of Persia a thing was revealed unto Daniel, whose name was called Belteshazzar; and the thing was true, but the time appointed was long: and he understood the thing, and had understanding of the vision.

¹³ And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For yours is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever. Amen.

²⁵ At that time Jesus answered and said, I thank you, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because you have hid these things from the wise and prudent, and have revealed them unto babes.

²⁷ All things are delivered unto me of my Father: and no man knows the Son, but the Father; neither knows any man the Father, except the Son, and he to whomever the Son will reveal him.

¹⁷ And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed are you, Simon Barjona: for flesh and blood has not revealed it unto you, but my Father who is in heaven.

¹² For the Holy Spirit shall teach you in the same hour what you ought to say.

¹⁵ For I will give you a mouth and wisdom, which all your adversaries shall not be able to contradict nor resist.

⁵⁴ Jesus answered, If I honor myself, my honor is nothing: it is my Father that honors me; of whom you say, that he is your God: ⁵⁵ Yet you have not known him; but I know him: and if I should say, I know him not, I shall be a liar like unto you: but I know him, and keep his saying.

¹⁷ Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it sees him not, neither knows him: but you know him; for he dwells with you, and shall be in you.

³ And these things will they do unto you, because they have not known the Father, nor me.

³ And this is life eternal, that they might know you the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent.

²⁵ O righteous Father, the world has not known you: but I have known you, and these have known that you have sent me. ²⁶ And I have declared unto them your name, and will declare it: that the love with which you have loved me may be in them, and I in them.

¹⁰ And they were not able to resist the wisdom and the spirit by which he spoke.

² And he said, Men, brethren, and fathers, hearken; The God of glory appeared unto our father Abraham, when he was in Mesopotamia, before he dwelt in Haran,

²⁸ And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not proper;

⁸ Which none of the princes of this world knew: for had they known it, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory.

¹⁰ But God has revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searches all things, yea, the deep things of God.

⁸ For to one is given by the Spirit the word of wisdom; to another the word of knowledge by the same Spirit;

⁶ Now, brethren, if I come unto you speaking with tongues, what shall I profit you, except I shall speak to you either by revelation, or by knowledge, or by prophesying, or by doctrine?

¹ It is not expedient for me doubtless to boast. I will come to visions and revelations of the Lord.

³ Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ:

⁵ Which in other ages was not made known unto the sons of men, as it is now revealed unto his holy apostles and prophets by the Spirit;

¹⁸ May be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height; ¹⁹ And to know the love of Christ, which passes knowledge, that you might be filled with all the fullness of God.

⁹ For this cause we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray for you, and to desire that you might be filled with the knowledge of his will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding; ¹⁰ That you might walk worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing, being fruitful in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God;

² That their hearts might be comforted, being knit together in love, and unto all riches of the full assurance of understanding, to the acknowledgment of the mystery of God, and of the Father, and of Christ; ³ In whom are hid all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.

²⁵ In meekness instructing those that oppose them; if God perhaps will give them repentance to the acknowledging of the truth;

¹ Paul, a servant of God, and an apostle of Jesus Christ, according to the faith of God's elect, and the acknowledging of the truth which is after godliness;

¹ My brethren, have not the faith of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Lord of glory, with respect of persons.

¹⁷ But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and compliant, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy. ¹⁸ And the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace by them that make peace.

³ According as his divine power has given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him who has called us to glory and virtue:

¹⁸ But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and forever. Amen.

³ And by this we know that we know him, if we keep his commandments. ⁴ He that says, I know him, and keeps not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.

¹² Saying, Amen: Blessing, and glory, and wisdom, and thanksgiving, and honor, and power, and might, be unto our God forever and ever. Amen.

¹⁸ Open my eyes, that I may behold wondrous things out of your law.

¹⁰ Make the heart of this people dull, and make their ears heavy, and shut their eyes; lest they see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and understand with their heart, and return, and be healed.

¹⁰ For the LORD has poured out upon you the spirit of deep sleep, and has closed your eyes: the prophets and your rulers, the seers has he covered.

¹⁸ And in that day shall the deaf hear the words of the book, and the eyes of the blind shall see out of obscurity, and out of darkness.

³ And the eyes of them that see shall not be dim, and the ears of them that hear shall listen.

⁷ To open the blind eyes, to bring out the prisoners from the prison, and them that sit in darkness out of the prison house.

¹⁵ For this people's heart has become gross, and their ears are dull of hearing, and their eyes they have closed; lest at any time they should see with their eyes and hear with their ears, and should understand with their heart, and should be converted, and I should heal them.

⁴⁵ Then opened he their understanding, that they might understand the scriptures,

¹⁴ And a certain woman named Lydia, a seller of purple, of the city of Thyatira, who worshiped God, heard us: whose heart the Lord opened, so that she attended unto the things which were spoken by Paul.

⁴ And patience, experience; and experience, hope: ⁵ And hope makes not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Spirit who is given unto us.

²⁴ For we are saved by hope: but hope that is seen is not hope: for what a man sees, why does he yet hope for? ²⁵ But if we hope for that we see not, then do we with patience wait for it.

⁴ In whom the god of this age has blinded the minds of them who believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.

⁶ For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, has shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.

⁵ For we through the Spirit wait for the hope of righteousness by faith.

⁷ In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace;

¹² That at that time you were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope, and without God in the world:

¹ I therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you that you walk worthy of the vocation by which you are called,

⁴ There is one body, and one Spirit, even as you are called in one hope of your calling;

⁸ For you were once darkness, but now are you light in the Lord: walk as children of light:

¹⁴ I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.

⁵ For the hope which is laid up for you in heaven, of which you heard before in the word of the truth of the gospel;

²³ If you continue in the faith grounded and settled, and be not moved away from the hope of the gospel, which you have heard, and which was preached to every creature who is under heaven; of which I Paul am made a minister;

¹⁵ And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to which also you are called in one body; and be thankful.

¹² That you would walk worthy of God, who has called you unto his kingdom and glory.

⁸ But let us, who are of the day, be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love; and for a helmet, the hope of salvation.

¹⁶ Now our Lord Jesus Christ himself, and God, even our Father, who has loved us, and has given us everlasting encouragement and good hope through grace,

¹² Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, to which you are also called, and have professed a good profession before many witnesses.

¹³ Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Savior Jesus Christ;

⁴ For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted of the heavenly gift, and were made partakers of the Holy Spirit,

³² But call to remembrance the former days, in which, after you were illuminated, you endured a great fight with afflictions;

¹⁰ But the God of all grace, who has called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that you have suffered a while, restore, establish, strengthen, settle you.

¹ Behold, what manner of love the Father has bestowed upon us, that we should be called the children of God: therefore the world knows us not, because it knew him not. ² Beloved, now are we the children of God, and it does not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is. ³ And every man that has this hope in him purifies himself, even as he is pure.

² The LORD shall send the rod of your strength out of Zion: rule you in the midst of your enemies. ³ Your people shall be willing in the day of your power, in the beauties of holiness from the womb of the morning: you have the dew of your youth.

¹ Who has believed our report? and to whom is the arm of the LORD revealed?

⁶ That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.

⁷ But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us.

⁷ Of which I was made a minister, according to the gift of the grace of God given unto me by the effectual working of his power.

²⁰ Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us,

¹⁰ Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.

²⁹ For which I also labor, striving according to his working, who works in me mightily.

¹² Buried with him in baptism, in which also you are risen with him through the faith of the working of God, who has raised him from the dead.

⁵ For our gospel came not unto you in word only, but also in power, and in the Holy Spirit, and in much assurance; as you know what manner of men we were among you for your sake.

⁹ Therefore my heart is glad, and my glory rejoices: my flesh also shall rest in hope. ¹⁰ For you will not leave my soul in sheol; neither will you allow your Holy One to see corruption. ¹¹ You will show me the path of life: in your presence is fullness of joy; at your right hand there are pleasures forevermore.

¹ [A Psalm of David.] The LORD said unto my Lord, Sit at my right hand, until I make your enemies your footstool.

⁴³ He said unto them, How then does David in the Spirit call him Lord, saying, ⁴⁴ The Lord said unto my Lord, Sit on my right hand, till I make your enemies your footstool? ⁴⁵ If David then called him Lord, how is he his son?

⁶⁴ Jesus said unto him, You have said so: nevertheless I say unto you, Hereafter shall you see the Son of man sitting on the right hand of power, and coming in the clouds of heaven.

¹⁸ And Jesus came and spoke unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.

⁶² And Jesus said, I am: and you shall see the Son of man sitting on the right hand of power, and coming in the clouds of heaven.

¹⁹ So then after the Lord had spoken unto them, he was received up into heaven, and sat on the right hand of God.

¹⁸ No man takes it from me, but I lay it down of myself. I have power to lay it down, and I have power to take it again. This commandment have I received of my Father.

³⁰ I and my Father are one.

¹ These words spoke Jesus, and lifted up his eyes to heaven, and said, Father, the hour has come; glorify your Son, that your Son also may glorify you: ² As you have given him power over all flesh, that he should give eternal life to as many as you have given him. ³ And this is life eternal, that they might know you the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent. ⁴ I have glorified you on the earth: I have finished the work which you gave me to do. ⁵ And now, O Father, glorify me with your own self with the glory which I had with you before the world was.

²⁴ Whom God has raised up, having loosed the pains of death: because it was not possible that he should be held by it. ²⁵ For David spoke concerning him, I foresaw the Lord always before my face, for he is on my right hand, that I should not be moved: ²⁶ Therefore did my heart rejoice, and my tongue was glad; moreover also my flesh shall rest in hope: ²⁷ Because you will not leave my soul in hades, neither will you allow your Holy One to see corruption. ²⁸ You have made known to me the ways of life; you shall make me full of joy with your countenance. ²⁹ Men and brethren, let me freely speak unto you of the patriarch David, that he is both dead and buried, and his sepulcher is with us unto this day. ³⁰ Therefore being a prophet, and knowing that God had sworn with an oath to him, that of his descendants, according to the flesh, he would raise up Christ to sit on his throne; ³¹ He seeing this before spoke of the resurrection of Christ, that his soul was not left in hades, neither his flesh did see corruption. ³² This Jesus has God raised up, of which we all are witnesses. ³³ Therefore being by the right hand of God exalted, and having received of the Father the promise of the Holy Spirit, he has poured forth this, which you now see and hear. ³⁴ For David is not ascended into the heavens: but he said himself, The Lord said unto my Lord, Sit on my right hand, ³⁵ Until I make your foes your footstool. ³⁶ Therefore let all the house of Israel know assuredly, that God has made that same Jesus, whom you have crucified, both Lord and Christ.

¹⁰ Be it known unto you all, and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom you crucified, whom God raised from the dead, even by him does this man stand here before you whole.

³¹ Him has God exalted with his right hand to be a Prince and a Savior, to give repentance to Israel, and forgiveness of sins.

⁵⁵ But he, being full of the Holy Spirit, looked up steadfastly into heaven, and saw the glory of God, and Jesus standing on the right hand of God, ⁵⁶ And said, Behold, I see the heavens opened, and the Son of man standing on the right hand of God.

⁴⁰ Him God raised up the third day, and showed him openly;

⁸ Why should it be thought a thing incredible with you, that God should raise the dead?

⁴ And declared to be the Son of God with power, according to the Spirit of holiness, by the resurrection from the dead:

⁵ For if we have been united with him in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection: ⁶ Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that we should no longer serve sin. ⁷ For he that is dead is freed from sin. ⁸ Now if we are dead with Christ, we believe that we shall also live with him: ⁹ Knowing that Christ being raised from the dead dies no more; death has no more dominion over him. ¹⁰ For in that he died, he died unto sin once: but in that he lives, he lives unto God. ¹¹ Likewise reckon you also yourselves to be dead indeed unto sin, but alive unto God through Jesus Christ our Lord.

³⁴ Who is he that condemns? It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also makes intercession for us.

⁵ Even when we were dead in sins, has made us alive together with Christ, (by grace you are saved;) ⁶ And has raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus:

⁸ Therefore he says, When he ascended up on high, he led captivity captive, and gave gifts unto men. ⁹ (Now that he ascended, what is it but that he also descended first into the lower parts of the earth? ¹⁰ He that descended is the same also that ascended up far above all heavens, that he might fill all things.)

¹⁰ That I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable unto his death;

¹ If you then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sits on the right hand of God.

³ Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high;

⁹ But we see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels for the suffering of death, crowned with glory and honor; that he by the grace of God should taste death for every man.

¹² But this man, after he had offered one sacrifice for sins forever, sat down on the right hand of God;

²⁰ Now the God of peace, that brought again from the dead our Lord Jesus, that great shepherd of the sheep, through the blood of the everlasting covenant,

¹⁷ And when I saw him, I fell at his feet as dead. And he laid his right hand upon me, saying unto me, Fear not; I am the first and the last:

²⁷ And the kingdom and dominion, and the greatness of the kingdom under the whole heaven, shall be given to the people of the saints of the most High, whose kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and all dominions shall serve and obey him.

³² And whosoever speaks a word against the Son of man, it shall be forgiven him: but whosoever speaks against the Holy Spirit, it shall not be forgiven him, neither in this world, nor in the world to come.

³¹ When the Son of man shall come in his glory, and all the holy angels with him, then shall he sit upon the throne of his glory: ³² And before him shall be gathered all nations: and he shall separate them one from another, as a shepherd divides his sheep from the goats: ³³ And he shall set the sheep on his right hand, but the goats on the left. ³⁴ Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, you blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world: ³⁵ For I was hungry, and you gave me food: I was thirsty, and you gave me drink: I was a stranger, and you took me in: ³⁶ Naked, and you clothed me: I was sick, and you visited me: I was in prison, and you came unto me.

¹⁸ And Jesus came and spoke unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. ¹⁹ Go you therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit:

²⁵ Verily, verily, I say unto you, The hour is coming, and now is, when the dead shall hear the voice of the Son of God: and they that hear shall live. ²⁶ For as the Father has life in himself; so has he given to the Son to have life in himself; ²⁷ And has given him authority to execute judgment also, because he is the Son of man. ²⁸ Marvel not at this: for the hour is coming, in which all that are in the graves shall hear his voice, ²⁹ And shall come forth; they that have done good, unto the resurrection of life; and they that have done evil, unto the resurrection of condemnation.

¹² Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is no other name under heaven given among men, by which we must be saved.

³⁸ For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, ³⁹ Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creation, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

⁹ Therefore God also has highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name: ¹⁰ That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; ¹¹ And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

¹⁵ Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation: ¹⁶ For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him:

¹⁰ And you are complete in him, who is the head of all principality and power:

¹⁵ And having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a show of them openly, triumphing over them in it.

⁴ Being made so much better than the angels, as he has by inheritance obtained a more excellent name than they.

⁵ For unto the angels has he not put in subjection the world to come, of which we speak.

¹⁴ Seeing then that we have a great high priest, that is passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our profession.

²² Who is gone into heaven, and is on the right hand of God; angels and authorities and powers being made subject unto him.

¹² His eyes were as a flame of fire, and on his head were many crowns; and he had a name written, that no man knew, but he himself. ¹³ And he was clothed with a robe dipped in blood: and his name is called The Word of God.

¹⁰ And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night forever and ever. ¹¹ And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them. ¹² And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works. ¹³ And the sea gave up the dead who were in it; and death and hades delivered up the dead who were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works. ¹⁴ And death and hades were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. ¹⁵ And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.

¹⁵ And I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your seed and her seed; he shall bruise your head, and you shall bruise his heel.

⁶ You made him to have dominion over the works of your hands; you have put all things under his feet: ⁷ All sheep and oxen, yea, and the beasts of the field; ⁸ The fowl of the air, and the fish of the sea, and whatsoever passes through the paths of the seas.

¹³ You shall tread upon the lion and adder: the young lion and the serpent shall you trample under feet.

¹⁸ And I say also unto you, That you are Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hades shall not prevail against it.

²⁵ For he must reign, till he has put all enemies under his feet. ²⁶ The last enemy that shall be destroyed is death. ²⁷ For he has put all things under his feet. But when he says all things are put under him, it is clear that he is excepted, who did put all things under him.

²³ For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church: and he is the savior of the body.

⁸ Who also declared unto us your love in the Spirit.

¹⁸ And he is the head of the body, the church: who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all things he might have the preeminence.

¹⁹ And not holding the Head, from whom all the body by joints and ligaments having nourishment ministered, and knit together, increases with the increase of God.

¹⁵ But if I tarry long, that you may know how you ought to behave yourself in the house of God, which is the church of the living God, the pillar and ground of the truth.

⁸ You have put all things in subjection under his feet. For in that he put all in subjection under him, he left nothing that is not put under him. But now we see not yet all things put under him.

¹⁶ And of his fullness have all we received, and grace for grace.

⁵ Therefore you must be subject, not only for wrath, but also for conscience’s sake.

⁶ And there are diversities of workings, but it is the same God who works all in all.

¹² For as the body is one, and has many members, and all the members of that one body, being many, are one body: so also is Christ. ¹³ For by one Spirit were we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit. ¹⁴ For the body is not one member, but many. ¹⁵ If the foot shall say, Because I am not the hand, I am not of the body; is it therefore not of the body? ¹⁶ And if the ear shall say, Because I am not the eye, I am not of the body; is it therefore not of the body? ¹⁷ If the whole body were an eye, where would be the hearing? If the whole were hearing, where would be the smelling? ¹⁸ But now has God set the members every one of them in the body, as it has pleased him. ¹⁹ And if they were all one member, where would be the body? ²⁰ But now are they many members, yet but one body. ²¹ And the eye cannot say unto the hand, I have no need of you: nor again the head to the feet, I have no need of you. ²² Nay, much more those members of the body, which seem to be more feeble, are necessary: ²³ And those members of the body, which we think to be less honorable, upon these we bestow more abundant honor; and our less respectable parts have greater respect. ²⁴ For our more respectable parts have no need: but God has arranged the body together, having given more abundant honor to that part which lacked: ²⁵ That there should be no schism in the body; but that the members should have the same care one for another. ²⁶ And whether one member suffers, all the members suffer with it; or one member be honored, all the members rejoice with it. ²⁷ Now you are the body of Christ, and members in particular.

²⁸ And when all things shall be subdued unto him, then shall the Son also himself be subject unto him that put all things under him, that God may be all in all.

¹⁶ And that he might reconcile both unto God in one body by the cross, having slain the enmity thereby:

¹⁹ And to know the love of Christ, which passes knowledge, that you might be filled with all the fullness of God.

¹⁰ He that descended is the same also that ascended up far above all heavens, that he might fill all things.)

¹² For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ:

²³ For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church: and he is the savior of the body. ²⁴ Therefore as the church is subject unto Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands in every thing. ²⁵ Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it; ²⁶ That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word, ²⁷ That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish. ²⁸ So ought men to love their wives as their own bodies. He that loves his wife loves himself. ²⁹ For no man ever yet hated his own flesh; but nourishes and cherishes it, even as the Lord the church: ³⁰ For we are members of his body, of his flesh, and of his bones. ³¹ For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall be joined unto his wife, and they two shall be one flesh. ³² This is a great mystery: but I speak concerning Christ and the church.

¹⁸ And he is the head of the body, the church: who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all things he might have the preeminence. ¹⁹ For it pleased the Father that in him should all fullness dwell;

²⁴ Who now rejoice in my sufferings for you, and fill up that which is behind of the afflictions of Christ in my flesh for his body's sake, which is the church:

⁹ For in him dwells all the fullness of the Deity bodily. ¹⁰ And you are complete in him, who is the head of all principality and power:
