¹ Thus says the Lord GOD; The gate of the inner court that faces the east shall be shut the six working days; but on the sabbath it shall be opened, and in the day of the new moon it shall be opened. ² And the prince shall enter by way of the porch of that gate from outside, and shall stand by the post of the gate, and the priests shall prepare his burnt offering and his peace offerings, and he shall worship at the threshold of the gate: then he shall go out; but the gate shall not be shut until the evening. ³ Likewise the people of the land shall worship at the door of this gate before the LORD on the sabbaths and on the new moons. ⁴ And the burnt offering that the prince shall offer unto the LORD on the sabbath day shall be six lambs without blemish, and a ram without blemish. ⁵ And the grain offering shall be an ephah for a ram, and the grain offering for the lambs as he shall be able to give, and a hin of oil to each ephah. ⁶ And on the day of the new moon it shall be a young bullock without blemish, and six lambs, and a ram: they shall be without blemish. ⁷ And he shall prepare a grain offering, an ephah for a bullock, and an ephah for a ram, and for the lambs as much as he is able, and a hin of oil to each ephah. ⁸ And when the prince shall enter, he shall go in by the way of the porch of that gate, and he shall go out by the same way. ⁹ But when the people of the land shall come before the LORD in the solemn feasts, he that enters in by the way of the north gate to worship shall go out by the way of the south gate; and he that enters by the way of the south gate shall go out by the way of the north gate: he shall not return by the way of the gate by which he came in, but shall go out opposite it. ¹⁰ And the prince shall be in the midst of them, and when they go in, he shall go in; and when they go out, he shall go out. ¹¹ And at the feasts and at the appointed seasons the grain offering shall be an ephah to a bullock, and an ephah to a ram, and to the lambs as much as he is able to give, and a hin of oil to each ephah. ¹² Now when the prince shall prepare a voluntary burnt offering or peace offerings voluntarily unto the LORD, one shall then open him the gate that faces toward the east, and he shall prepare his burnt offering and his peace offerings, as he did on the sabbath day: then he shall go out; and after his going out one shall shut the gate. ¹³ You shall daily prepare a burnt offering unto the LORD of a lamb of the first year without blemish: you shall prepare it every morning. ¹⁴ And you shall prepare a grain offering for it every morning, the sixth part of an ephah, and the third part of a hin of oil, to moisten the fine flour; a grain offering continually by a perpetual ordinance unto the LORD. ¹⁵ Thus shall they prepare the lamb, and the grain offering, and the oil, every morning for a continual burnt offering. ¹⁶ Thus says the Lord GOD; If the prince gives a gift unto any of his sons, the inheritance of it shall be his sons’; it shall be their possession by inheritance. ¹⁷ But if he gives a gift of his inheritance to one of his servants, then it shall be his to the year of liberty; afterward it shall return to the prince: but his inheritance shall be his sons’, for them. ¹⁸ Moreover the prince shall not take any of the people’s inheritance by oppression, to thrust them out of their possession; but he shall give his sons inheritance out of his own possession: that my people be not scattered every man from his possession. ¹⁹ After that he brought me through the entrance, which was at the side of the gate, into the holy chambers of the priests, which faced toward the north: and, behold, there was a place on the two sides westward. ²⁰ Then said he unto me, This is the place where the priests shall boil the trespass offering and the sin offering, where they shall bake the grain offering; that they bear them not out into the outer court, to sanctify the people. ²¹ Then he brought me forth into the outer court, and caused me to pass by the four corners of the court; and, behold, in every corner of the court there was a court. ²² In the four corners of the court there were courts joined of forty cubits long and thirty wide: these four corners were of the same measure. ²³ And there was a row of building stones all around in them, all around the four, and it was made with boiling places under the rows of stones all around. ²⁴ Then said he unto me, These are the places of them that boil, where the ministers of the house shall boil the sacrifices of the people.

¹⁹ In the sweat of your face shall you eat bread, till you return unto the ground; for out of it were you taken: for dust you are, and unto dust shall you return.

⁹ Six days shall you labor, and do all your work:

²³ And it shall come to pass, that from one new moon to another, and from one sabbath to another, shall all flesh come to worship before me, says the LORD.

¹⁶ And he brought me into the inner court of the LORD’S house, and, behold, at the door of the temple of the LORD, between the porch and the altar, were about five and twenty men, with their backs toward the temple of the LORD, and their faces toward the east; and they worshiped the sun toward the east.

¹ Then he brought me back to the gate of the outer sanctuary which faces toward the east; and it was shut. ² Then said the LORD unto me; This gate shall be shut, it shall not be opened, and no man shall enter in by it; because the LORD, the God of Israel, has entered in by it, therefore it shall be shut.

¹⁷ And it shall be the prince’s part to give burnt offerings, and grain offerings, and drink offerings, in the feasts, and in the new moons, and in the sabbaths, in all appointed feasts of the house of Israel: he shall prepare the sin offering, and the grain offering, and the burnt offering, and the peace offerings, to make reconciliation for the house of Israel. ¹⁸ Thus says the Lord GOD; In the first month, in the first day of the month, you shall take a young bullock without blemish, and cleanse the sanctuary: ¹⁹ And the priest shall take some of the blood of the sin offering, and put it upon the posts of the house, and upon the four corners of the ledge of the altar, and upon the posts of the gate of the inner court.

⁶ And on the day of the new moon it shall be a young bullock without blemish, and six lambs, and a ram: they shall be without blemish.

¹⁴ And the ruler of the synagogue answered with indignation, because Jesus had healed on the sabbath day, and said unto the people, There are six days in which men ought to work: in them therefore come and be healed, and not on the sabbath day.

⁹ There remains therefore a rest to the people of God. ¹⁰ For he that is entered into his rest, he also has ceased from his own works, as God did from his.

²² And Solomon stood before the altar of the LORD in the presence of all the congregation of Israel, and spread forth his hands toward heaven: ²³ And he said, LORD God of Israel, there is no God like you, in heaven above, or on earth beneath, who keeps covenant and mercy with your servants that walk before you with all their heart:

¹⁶ And David the king came and sat before the LORD, and said, Who am I, O LORD God, and what is my house, that you have brought me this far?

¹⁰ Therefore David blessed the LORD before all the congregation: and David said, Blessed be you, LORD God of Israel our father, forever and ever. ¹¹ Yours, O LORD, is the greatness, and the power, and the glory, and the victory, and the majesty: for all that is in the heaven and in the earth is yours; yours is the kingdom, O LORD, and you are exalted as head above all. ¹² Both riches and honor come from you, and you reign over all; and in your hand is power and might; and in your hand it is to make great, and to give strength unto all.

¹³ For Solomon had made a bronze platform, five cubits long, and five cubits wide, and three cubits high, and had set it in the midst of the court: and upon it he stood, and kneeled down upon his knees before all the congregation of Israel, and spread forth his hands toward heaven,

¹³ And she looked, and, behold, the king stood at his pillar at the entrance, and the leaders and the trumpeters by the king: and all the people of the land rejoiced, and sounded with trumpets, also the singers with instruments of music, and such as taught to sing praise. Then Athaliah tore her clothes, and said, Treason, Treason.

²⁹ And when they had finished offering, the king and all that were present with him bowed themselves, and worshiped.

³¹ And the king stood in his place, and made a covenant before the LORD, to walk after the LORD, and to keep his commandments, and his testimonies, and his statutes, with all his heart, and with all his soul, to perform the words of the covenant which are written in this book.

³ It is for the prince; the prince, he shall sit in it to eat bread before the LORD; he shall enter by the way of the porch of that gate, and shall go out by the same way.

¹ Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that enters not by the door into the sheepfold, but climbs up some other way, the same is a thief and a robber. ² But he that enters in by the door is the shepherd of the sheep. ³ To him the gatekeeper opens; and the sheep hear his voice: and he calls his own sheep by name, and leads them out.

²⁸ Whom we preach, warning every man, and teaching every man in all wisdom; that we may present every man perfect in Christ Jesus:

⁷ Who in the days of his flesh, when he had offered up prayers and supplications with strong crying and tears unto him that was able to save him from death, and was heard in that he feared; ⁸ Though he were a Son, yet learned he obedience by the things which he suffered;

¹⁰ And the whole multitude of the people were praying outside at the time of incense.

⁹ I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture.

¹⁹ Having therefore, brethren, boldness to enter into the holiest by the blood of Jesus, ²⁰ By a new and living way, which he has consecrated for us, through the veil, that is to say, his flesh; ²¹ And having a high priest over the house of God; ²² Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water.

⁹ And on the sabbath day two lambs of the first year without spot, and two-tenths of an ephah of flour for a grain offering, mixed with oil, and the drink offering thereof: ¹⁰ This is the burnt offering of every sabbath, besides the continual burnt offering, and its drink offering.

¹⁷ And it shall be the prince’s part to give burnt offerings, and grain offerings, and drink offerings, in the feasts, and in the new moons, and in the sabbaths, in all appointed feasts of the house of Israel: he shall prepare the sin offering, and the grain offering, and the burnt offering, and the peace offerings, to make reconciliation for the house of Israel.

²¹ And if he be poor, and cannot get so much; then he shall take one lamb for a trespass offering to be waved, to make an atonement for him, and one tenth of an ephah of fine flour mixed with oil for a grain offering, and a log of oil;

²¹ This is the law of the Nazarite who has vowed, and of his offering unto the LORD for his separation, beside that that his hand shall get: according to the vow which he vowed, so he must do after the law of his separation.

¹⁷ Every man shall give as he is able, according to the blessing of the LORD your God which he has given you.

¹⁴ Three times you shall keep a feast unto me in the year. ¹⁵ You shall keep the feast of unleavened bread: (you shall eat unleavened bread seven days, as I commanded you, in the time appointed of the month Abib; for in it you came out from Egypt: and none shall appear before me empty:) ¹⁶ And the feast of harvest, the firstfruits of your labors, which you have sown in the field: and the feast of ingathering, which is in the end of the year, when you have gathered in your labors out of the field. ¹⁷ Three times in the year all your males shall appear before the Lord GOD.

²³ Three times in the year shall all your male children appear before the Lord GOD, the God of Israel.

¹⁶ Three times in a year shall all your males appear before the LORD your God in the place which he shall choose; in the feast of unleavened bread, and in the feast of weeks, and in the feast of tabernacles: and they shall not appear before the LORD empty:

⁷ They go from strength to strength, every one of them in Zion appears before God.

¹² And they went each one straight forward: wherever the spirit was to go, they went; and they turned not when they went.

¹⁷ When they went, they went in any of four directions: and they turned not when they went.

⁴ Remember you the law of Moses my servant, which I commanded unto him at Horeb for all Israel, with the statutes and judgments.

¹³ Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before, ¹⁴ I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.

³⁸ Now the just shall live by faith: but if any man draw back, my soul shall have no pleasure in him.

²⁰ For if after they have escaped the defilements of the world through the knowledge of the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, they are again entangled therein, and overcome, the latter end is worse with them than the beginning. ²¹ For it had been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than, after they have known it, to turn from the holy commandment delivered unto them.

¹⁴ And David danced before the LORD with all his might; and David was wearing a linen ephod. ¹⁵ So David and all the house of Israel brought up the ark of the LORD with shouting, and with the sound of the trumpet. ¹⁶ And as the ark of the LORD came into the city of David, Michal Saul’s daughter looked through a window, and saw king David leaping and dancing before the LORD; and she despised him in her heart. ¹⁷ And they brought in the ark of the LORD, and set it in its place, in the midst of the tabernacle that David had pitched for it: and David offered burnt offerings and peace offerings before the LORD. ¹⁸ And as soon as David had made an end of offering burnt offerings and peace offerings, he blessed the people in the name of the LORD of hosts. ¹⁹ And he distributed among all the people, even among the whole multitude of Israel, both to the women and to the men, to every one a loaf of bread, and a portion of meat, and a cake of raisins. So all the people departed every one to his house.

²⁰ And David said to all the congregation, Now bless the LORD your God. And all the congregation blessed the LORD God of their fathers, and bowed down their heads, and worshiped the LORD, and the king.

²² And did eat and drink before the LORD on that day with great gladness. And they made Solomon the son of David king the second time, and anointed him unto the LORD to be the prince, and Zadok to be priest.

² But I have built a house of habitation for you, and a place for your dwelling forever. ³ And the king turned his face, and blessed the whole congregation of Israel: and all the congregation of Israel stood. ⁴ And he said, Blessed be the LORD God of Israel, who has with his hands fulfilled that which he spoke with his mouth to my father David, saying,

⁴ Then the king and all the people offered sacrifices before the LORD. ⁵ And king Solomon offered a sacrifice of twenty and two thousand oxen, and a hundred and twenty thousand sheep: so the king and all the people dedicated the house of God.

²⁷ Then they returned, every man of Judah and Jerusalem, and Jehoshaphat in front of them, to go again to Jerusalem with joy; for the LORD had made them to rejoice over their enemies. ²⁸ And they came to Jerusalem with lyres and harps and trumpets unto the house of the LORD.

²⁸ And all the congregation worshiped, and the singers sang, and the trumpeters sounded: and all this continued until the burnt offering was finished. ²⁹ And when they had finished offering, the king and all that were present with him bowed themselves, and worshiped.

³⁰ And the king went up into the house of the LORD, and all the men of Judah, and the inhabitants of Jerusalem, and the priests, and the Levites, and all the people, great and small: and he read in their hearing all the words of the book of the covenant that was found in the house of the LORD. ³¹ And the king stood in his place, and made a covenant before the LORD, to walk after the LORD, and to keep his commandments, and his testimonies, and his statutes, with all his heart, and with all his soul, to perform the words of the covenant which are written in this book.

⁸ So they read in the book in the law of God distinctly, and gave the sense, and caused them to understand the reading. ⁹ And Nehemiah, who is the governor, and Ezra the priest the scribe, and the Levites that taught the people, said unto all the people, This day is holy unto the LORD your God; mourn not, nor weep. For all the people wept, when they heard the words of the law.

⁴ When I remember these things, I pour out my soul within me: for I had gone with the multitude, I went with them to the house of God, with the voice of joy and praise, with a multitude that kept holyday.

¹ [A song of ascents. Of David.] I was glad when they said unto me, Let us go into the house of the LORD. ² Our feet shall stand within your gates, O Jerusalem. ³ Jerusalem is built as a city that is compact together: ⁴ Where the tribes go up, the tribes of the LORD, unto the testimony of Israel, to give thanks unto the name of the LORD.

²⁰ For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.

²⁰ Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen.

⁶ But Christ as a son over his own house; whose house are we, if we hold fast the confidence and the rejoicing of the hope firm unto the end.

¹⁴ Seeing then that we have a great high priest, that is passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our profession. ¹⁵ For we have not a high priest who cannot be touched with the feeling of our weaknesses; but was in all points tempted like we are, yet without sin. ¹⁶ Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.

¹ Unto the angel of the church of Ephesus write; These things says he that holds the seven stars in his right hand, who walks in the midst of the seven golden lampstands;

¹ And the LORD spoke unto Moses, saying, ² Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, Concerning the feasts of the LORD, which you shall proclaim to be holy convocations, even these are my feasts. ³ Six days shall work be done: but the seventh day is the sabbath of rest, a holy convocation; seven sabbaths shall be completed: ¹⁶ Even unto the day after the seventh sabbath shall you number fifty days; and you shall offer a new grain offering unto the LORD. ¹⁷ You shall bring out of your dwellings two wave loaves of two-tenths of an ephah: they shall be of fine flour; they shall be baked with leaven; they are the first fruits unto the LORD. ¹⁸ And you shall offer with the bread seven lambs without blemish of the first year, and one young bullock, and two rams: they shall be for a burnt offering unto the LORD, with their grain offering, and their drink offerings, even an offering made by fire, of sweet aroma unto the LORD. ¹⁹ Then you shall sacrifice one kid of the goats for a sin offering, and two lambs of the first year for a sacrifice of peace offerings. ²⁰ And the priest shall wave them with the bread of the first fruits for a wave offering before the LORD with the two lambs: they shall be holy to the LORD for the priest. ²¹ And you shall proclaim on the same day, that it may be a holy convocation unto you: you shall do no regular work on it: it shall be a statute forever in all your dwellings throughout your generations. ²² And when you reap the harvest of your land, you shall not completely reap the corners of your field when you reap, neither shall you gather any gleaning of your harvest: you shall leave them unto the poor, and to the stranger: I am the LORD your God. ²³ And the LORD spoke unto Moses, saying, ²⁴ Speak unto the children of Israel, saying, In the seventh month, in the first day of the month, shall you have a sabbath, a memorial of blowing of trumpets, a holy convocation. ²⁵ You shall do no regular work on it: but you shall offer an offering made by fire unto the LORD. ²⁶ And the LORD spoke unto Moses, saying, ²⁷ Also on the tenth day of this seventh month there shall be a day of atonement: it shall be a holy convocation unto you; and you shall humble yourselves, and offer an offering made by fire unto the LORD. ²⁸ And you shall do no work in that same day: for it is a day of atonement, to make an atonement for you before the LORD your God. ²⁹ For whatsoever soul it be that shall not be humbled in that same day, he shall be cut off from among his people. ³⁰ And whatsoever soul it be that does any work in that same day, the same soul will I destroy from among his people. ³¹ You shall do no manner of work: it shall be a statute forever throughout your generations in all your dwellings. ³² It shall be unto you a sabbath of rest, and you shall humble yourselves: in the ninth day of the month at evening, from evening unto evening, shall you celebrate your sabbath. ³³ And the LORD spoke unto Moses, saying, ³⁴ Speak unto the children of Israel, saying, The fifteenth day of this seventh month shall be the feast of tabernacles for seven days unto the LORD. ³⁵ On the first day shall be a holy convocation: you shall do no regular work on it. ³⁶ Seven days you shall offer an offering made by fire unto the LORD: on the eighth day shall be a holy convocation unto you; and you shall offer an offering made by fire unto the LORD: it is a solemn assembly; and you shall do no regular work on it. ³⁷ These are the feasts of the LORD, which you shall proclaim to be holy convocations, to offer an offering made by fire unto the LORD, a burnt offering, and a grain offering, a sacrifice, and drink offerings, everything on its day: ³⁸ Besides the sabbaths of the LORD, and besides your gifts, and besides all your vows, and besides all your freewill offerings, which you give unto the LORD. ³⁹ Also in the fifteenth day of the seventh month, when you have gathered in the fruit of the land, you shall keep a feast unto the LORD seven days: on the first day shall be a sabbath, and on the eighth day shall be a sabbath. ⁴⁰ And you shall take on the first day the fruit of choice trees, branches of palm trees, and the boughs of leafy trees, and willows of the brook; and you shall rejoice before the LORD your God seven days. ⁴¹ And you shall keep it as a feast unto the LORD seven days in the year. It shall be a statute forever in your generations: you shall celebrate it in the seventh month. ⁴² You shall dwell in booths seven days; all that are born Israelites shall dwell in booths: ⁴³ That your generations may know that I made the children of Israel to dwell in booths, when I brought them out of the land of Egypt: I am the LORD your God. ⁴⁴ And Moses declared unto the children of Israel the feasts of the LORD.

¹ And the LORD spoke unto Moses, saying, ² Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, When you have come into the land of your habitations, which I give unto you, ³ And will make an offering by fire unto the LORD, a burnt offering, or a sacrifice in performing a vow, or in a freewill offering, or in your solemn feasts, to make a sweet aroma unto the LORD, of the herd, or of the flock: ⁴ Then shall he that offers his offering unto the LORD bring a grain offering of a tenth of an ephah of flour mixed with the fourth part of a hin of oil. ⁵ And the fourth part of a hin of wine for a drink offering shall you prepare with the burnt offering or sacrifice, for one lamb. ⁶ Or for a ram, you shall prepare for a grain offering two tenths of an ephah of flour mixed with the third part of a hin of oil. ⁷ And for a drink offering you shall offer the third part of a hin of wine, for a sweet aroma unto the LORD. ⁸ And when you prepare a bullock for a burnt offering, or for a sacrifice in performing a vow, or peace offerings unto the LORD: ⁹ Then shall he bring with a bullock a grain offering of three tenths of an ephah of flour mixed with half a hin of oil. ¹⁰ And you shall bring for a drink offering half a hin of wine, for an offering made by fire, of a sweet aroma unto the LORD. ¹¹ Thus shall it be done for one bullock, or for one ram, or for a lamb, or a kid. ¹² According to the number that you shall prepare, so shall you do to every one according to their number. ¹³ All that are born in this country shall do these things after this manner, in offering an offering made by fire, of a sweet aroma unto the LORD. ¹⁴ And if a stranger sojourns with you, or whosoever is among you in your generations, and will offer an offering made by fire, of a sweet aroma unto the LORD; as you do, so he shall do. ¹⁵ One ordinance shall be both for you of the congregation, and also for the stranger that sojourns with you, an ordinance forever in your generations: as you are, so shall the stranger be before the LORD. ¹⁶ One law and one manner shall be for you, and for the stranger that sojourns with you. ¹⁷ And the LORD spoke unto Moses, saying, ¹⁸ Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, When you come into the land where I bring you, ¹⁹ Then it shall be, that, when you eat of the bread of the land, you shall offer up a heave offering unto the LORD. ²⁰ You shall offer up a cake of the first of your dough for a heave offering: as you do the heave offering of the threshingfloor, so shall you offer it up. ²¹ Of the first of your dough you shall give unto the LORD a heave offering throughout your generations. ²² And if you have erred, and not observed all these commandments, which the LORD has spoken unto Moses, ²³ Even all that the LORD has commanded you by the hand of Moses, from the day that the LORD commanded Moses, and onward throughout your generations; ²⁴ Then it shall be, if anything is committed by ignorance without the knowledge of the congregation, that all the congregation shall offer one young bullock for a burnt offering, for a sweet aroma unto the LORD, with its grain offering, and its drink offering, according to the ordinance, and one kid of the goats for a sin offering. ²⁵ And the priest shall make an atonement for all the congregation of the children of Israel, and it shall be forgiven them; for it is ignorance: and they shall bring their offering, a sacrifice made by fire unto the LORD, and their sin offering before the LORD, for their ignorance: ²⁶ And it shall be forgiven all the congregation of the children of Israel, and the stranger that sojourns among them; seeing all the people were in ignorance. ²⁷ And if any soul sins through ignorance, then he shall bring a female goat of the first year for a sin offering. ²⁸ And the priest shall make an atonement for the soul that sins ignorantly, when he sins by ignorance before the LORD, to make an atonement for him; and it shall be forgiven him. ²⁹ You shall have one law for him that sins through ignorance, both for him that is born among the children of Israel, and for the stranger that sojourns among them. ³⁰ But the soul that does anything presumptuously, whether he is born in the land, or is a stranger, the same reproaches the LORD; and that soul shall be cut off from among his people. ³¹ Because he has despised the word of the LORD, and has broken his commandment, that soul shall utterly be cut off; his iniquity shall be upon him. ³² And while the children of Israel were in the wilderness, they found a man that gathered sticks upon the sabbath day. ³³ And they that found him gathering sticks brought him unto Moses and Aaron, and unto all the congregation. ³⁴ And they put him in custody, because it was not declared what should be done to him. ³⁵ And the LORD said unto Moses, The man shall be surely put to death: all the congregation shall stone him with stones outside the camp. ³⁶ And all the congregation brought him outside the camp, and stoned him with stones, and he died; as the LORD commanded Moses. ³⁷ And the LORD spoke unto Moses, saying, ³⁸ Speak unto the children of Israel, and bid them that they make them tassels in the corners of their garments throughout their generations, and that they put upon the tassel of the corners a thread of blue: ³⁹ And it shall be unto you a tassel, that you may look upon it, and remember all the commandments of the LORD, and do them; and that you seek not after your own heart and your own eyes, after which you use to follow harlotry: ⁴⁰ That you may remember, and do all my commandments, and be holy unto your God. ⁴¹ I am the LORD your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, to be your God: I am the LORD your God.

¹ And the LORD spoke unto Moses, saying, ² Command the children of Israel, and say unto them, My offering, and my bread for my sacrifices made by fire, for a sweet aroma unto me, shall you observe to offer unto me in their due season. ³ And you shall say unto them, This is the offering made by fire which you shall offer unto the LORD; two lambs of the first year without spot day by day, for a continual burnt offering. ⁴ The one lamb shall you offer in the morning, and the other lamb shall you offer at evening; ⁵ And a tenth part of an ephah of flour for a grain offering, mixed with the fourth part of a hin of beaten olive oil. ⁶ It is a continual burnt offering, which was ordained in mount Sinai for a sweet aroma, a sacrifice made by fire unto the LORD. ⁷ And the drink offering thereof shall be the fourth part of a hin for the one lamb: in the holy place shall you cause the strong wine to be poured unto the LORD for a drink offering. ⁸ And the other lamb shall you offer at evening: as the grain offering of the morning, and as the drink offering thereof, you shall offer it, a sacrifice made by fire, of a sweet aroma unto the LORD. ⁹ And on the sabbath day two lambs of the first year without spot, and two-tenths of an ephah of flour for a grain offering, mixed with oil, and the drink offering thereof: ¹⁰ This is the burnt offering of every sabbath, besides the continual burnt offering, and its drink offering. ¹¹ And in the beginnings of your months you shall offer a burnt offering unto the LORD; two young bullocks, and one ram, seven lambs of the first year without spot; ¹² And three-tenths of an ephah of flour for a grain offering, mixed with oil, for one bullock; and two-tenths of an ephah of flour for a grain offering, mixed with oil, for one ram; ¹³ And a tenth of an ephah of flour mixed with oil for a grain offering unto one lamb; for a burnt offering of a sweet aroma, a sacrifice made by fire unto the LORD. ¹⁴ And their drink offerings shall be half a hin of wine unto a bullock, and the third part of a hin unto a ram, and a fourth part of a hin unto a lamb: this is the burnt offering of every month throughout the months of the year. ¹⁵ And one kid of the goats for a sin offering unto the LORD shall be offered, besides the continual burnt offering, and its drink offering. ¹⁶ And on the fourteenth day of the first month is the passover of the LORD. ¹⁷ And on the fifteenth day of this month is the feast: seven days shall unleavened bread be eaten. ¹⁸ On the first day shall be a holy convocation; you shall do no manner of regular work on it: ¹⁹ But you shall offer a sacrifice made by fire for a burnt offering unto the LORD; two young bullocks, and one ram, and seven lambs of the first year: they shall be unto you without blemish: ²⁰ And their grain offerings shall be of flour mixed with oil: three-tenths of an ephah shall you offer for a bullock, and two-tenths of an ephah for a ram; ²¹ A tenth of an ephah shall you offer for every lamb, throughout the seven lambs: ²² And one goat for a sin offering, to make an atonement for you. ²³ You shall offer these besides the burnt offering in the morning, which is for a continual burnt offering. ²⁴ In this manner you shall offer daily, throughout the seven days, the grain of the sacrifice made by fire, of a sweet aroma unto the LORD: it shall be offered besides the continual burnt offering, and its drink offering. ²⁵ And on the seventh day you shall have a holy convocation; you shall do no regular work. ²⁶ Also on the day of the first fruits, when you bring a new grain offering unto the LORD, at your Feast of Weeks, you shall have a holy convocation; you shall do no regular work: ²⁷ But you shall offer the burnt offering for a sweet aroma unto the LORD; two young bullocks, one ram, seven lambs of the first year; ²⁸ And their grain offerings of flour mixed with oil, three-tenths of an ephah unto one bullock, two-tenths of an ephah unto one ram, ²⁹ A tenth of an ephah unto one lamb, throughout the seven lambs;

¹ Observe the month of Abib, and keep the passover unto the LORD your God: for in the month of Abib the LORD your God brought you forth out of Egypt by night. ² You shall therefore sacrifice the passover unto the LORD your God, of the flock and the herd, in the place which the LORD shall choose to place his name there. ³ You shall eat no leavened bread with it; seven days shall you eat unleavened bread with it, even the bread of affliction: for you came forth out of the land of Egypt in haste: that you may remember the day when you came forth out of the land of Egypt all the days of your life. ⁴ And there shall be no leavened bread seen with you in all your territory seven days; neither shall there any part of the flesh, which you sacrificed the first day at evening, remain all night until the morning. ⁵ You may not sacrifice the passover within any of your gates, which the LORD your God gives you: ⁶ But at the place which the LORD your God shall choose to place his name in, there you shall sacrifice the passover at evening, at the going down of the sun, at the time that you came forth out of Egypt. ⁷ And you shall roast and eat it in the place which the LORD your God shall choose: and you shall turn in the morning, and go unto your tents. ⁸ Six days you shall eat unleavened bread: and on the seventh day shall be a solemn assembly to the LORD your God: you shall do no work therein. ⁹ Seven weeks shall you number unto you: begin to number the seven weeks from such time as you begin to put the sickle to the grain. ¹⁰ And you shall keep the feast of weeks unto the LORD your God with a tribute of a freewill offering of your hand, which you shall give unto the LORD your God, according as the LORD your God has blessed you: ¹¹ And you shall rejoice before the LORD your God, you, and your son, and your daughter, and your manservant, and your maidservant, and the Levite that is within your gates, and the stranger, and the fatherless, and the widow, that are among you, in the place which the LORD your God has chosen to place his name there. ¹² And you shall remember that you were a slave in Egypt: and you shall observe and do these statutes. ¹³ You shall observe the feast of tabernacles seven days, after that you have gathered in your grain and your wine: ¹⁴ And you shall rejoice in your feast, you, and your son, and your daughter, and your manservant, and your maidservant, and the Levite, the stranger, and the fatherless, and the widow, that are within your gates. ¹⁵ Seven days shall you keep a solemn feast unto the LORD your God in the place which the LORD shall choose: because the LORD your God shall bless you in all your increase, and in all the works of your hands, therefore you shall surely rejoice. ¹⁶ Three times in a year shall all your males appear before the LORD your God in the place which he shall choose; in the feast of unleavened bread, and in the feast of weeks, and in the feast of tabernacles: and they shall not appear before the LORD empty: ¹⁷ Every man shall give as he is able, according to the blessing of the LORD your God which he has given you. ¹⁸ Judges and officers shall you make in all your gates, which the LORD your God gives you, throughout your tribes: and they shall judge the people with just judgment. ¹⁹ You shall not pervert judgment; you shall not show partiality, neither take a bribe: for a bribe does blind the eyes of the wise, and pervert the words of the righteous. ²⁰ That which is altogether just shall you follow, that you may live, and inherit the land which the LORD your God gives you. ²¹ You shall not make a post idol of any trees near unto the altar of the LORD your God, which you shall make you. ²² Neither shall you set up any image; which the LORD your God hates.

³ If his offering be a burnt sacrifice of the herd, let him offer a male without blemish: he shall offer it of his own voluntary will at the door of the tabernacle of meeting before the LORD.

¹⁶ But if the sacrifice of his offering be a vow, or a voluntary offering, it shall be eaten the same day that he offers his sacrifice: and the next day also the remainder of it shall be eaten:

³⁸ Besides the sabbaths of the LORD, and besides your gifts, and besides all your vows, and besides all your freewill offerings, which you give unto the LORD.

³⁹ These things you shall do unto the LORD in your appointed feasts, besides your vows, and your freewill offerings, for your burnt offerings, and for your grain offerings, and for your drink offerings, and for your peace offerings.

⁴ And the king went to Gibeon to sacrifice there; for that was the great high place: a thousand burnt offerings did Solomon offer upon that altar.

²¹ And they sacrificed sacrifices unto the LORD, and offered burnt offerings unto the LORD, on the next day, even a thousand bullocks, a thousand rams, and a thousand lambs, with their drink offerings, and sacrifices in abundance for all Israel:

⁶ Also king Solomon, and all the congregation of Israel that were assembled unto him before the ark, sacrificed sheep and oxen, which could not be counted nor numbered for multitude.

⁵ And king Solomon offered a sacrifice of twenty and two thousand oxen, and a hundred and twenty thousand sheep: so the king and all the people dedicated the house of God. ⁶ And the priests stood at their posts: the Levites also with instruments of music of the LORD, which David the king had made to praise the LORD, because his mercy endures forever, whenever David offered praise by their ministry; and the priests sounded trumpets opposite them, and all Israel stood. ⁷ Moreover Solomon consecrated the middle of the court that was in front of the house of the LORD: for there he offered burnt offerings, and the fat of the peace offerings, because the bronze altar which Solomon had made was not able to receive the burnt offerings, and the grain offerings, and the fat.

³¹ Then Hezekiah answered and said, Now you have consecrated yourselves unto the LORD, come near and bring sacrifices and thank offerings into the house of the LORD. And the congregation brought in sacrifices and thank offerings; and as many as were of a free heart burnt offerings.

⁴ And whosoever remains in any place where he sojourns, let the men of his place help him with silver, and with gold, and with goods, and with animals, besides the freewill offering for the house of God that is in Jerusalem.

⁵ And afterward offered the continual burnt offerings, both of the new moons, and of all the set feasts of the LORD that were consecrated, and of every one that willingly offered a freewill offering unto the LORD.

¹⁷ And offered at the dedication of this house of God a hundred bullocks, two hundred rams, four hundred lambs; and for a sin offering for all Israel, twelve male goats, according to the number of the tribes of Israel.

¹ Thus says the Lord GOD; The gate of the inner court that faces the east shall be shut the six working days; but on the sabbath it shall be opened, and in the day of the new moon it shall be opened. ² And the prince shall enter by way of the porch of that gate from outside, and shall stand by the post of the gate, and the priests shall prepare his burnt offering and his peace offerings, and he shall worship at the threshold of the gate: then he shall go out; but the gate shall not be shut until the evening.

¹ I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.

² And walk in love, as Christ also has loved us, and has given himself for us an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweet smelling fragrance.

⁵ Your lamb shall be without blemish, a male of the first year: you shall take it out from the sheep, or from the goats:

³⁸ Now this is that which you shall offer upon the altar; two lambs of the first year, day by day continually. ³⁹ The one lamb you shall offer in the morning; and the other lamb you shall offer in the evening: ⁴⁰ And with the one lamb a tenth measure of flour mingled with the fourth part of a hin of beaten olive oil; and the fourth part of a hin of wine for a drink offering. ⁴¹ And the other lamb you shall offer at evening, and shall do to it according to the grain offering of the morning, and according to the drink offering, for a sweet aroma, an offering made by fire unto the LORD. ⁴² This shall be a continual burnt offering throughout your generations at the door of the tabernacle of meeting before the LORD: where I will meet you, to speak there unto you.

⁶ And when the days of her purification are fulfilled, for a son, or for a daughter, she shall bring a lamb of the first year for a burnt offering, and a young pigeon, or a turtledove, for a sin offering, unto the door of the tabernacle of meeting, unto the priest:

³ And you shall say unto them, This is the offering made by fire which you shall offer unto the LORD; two lambs of the first year without spot day by day, for a continual burnt offering. ⁴ The one lamb shall you offer in the morning, and the other lamb shall you offer at evening; ⁵ And a tenth part of an ephah of flour for a grain offering, mixed with the fourth part of a hin of beaten olive oil. ⁶ It is a continual burnt offering, which was ordained in mount Sinai for a sweet aroma, a sacrifice made by fire unto the LORD. ⁷ And the drink offering thereof shall be the fourth part of a hin for the one lamb: in the holy place shall you cause the strong wine to be poured unto the LORD for a drink offering. ⁸ And the other lamb shall you offer at evening: as the grain offering of the morning, and as the drink offering thereof, you shall offer it, a sacrifice made by fire, of a sweet aroma unto the LORD.

¹⁰ This is the burnt offering of every sabbath, besides the continual burnt offering, and its drink offering.

² To show forth your lovingkindness in the morning, and your faithfulness every night,

⁴ The Lord GOD has given me the tongue of the learned, that I should know how to speak a word in season to him that is weary: he awakens morning by morning, he awakens my ear to hear as the learned.

¹¹ Yea, he magnified himself even to the prince of the host, and by him the daily sacrifice was taken away, and the place of his sanctuary was cast down. ¹² And a host was given him to oppose the daily sacrifice by reason of transgression, and it cast down the truth to the ground; and it did this, and prospered. ¹³ Then I heard one saint speaking, and another saint said unto that certain saint who spoke, How long shall be the vision concerning the daily sacrifice, and the transgression of desolation, to give both the sanctuary and the host to be trodden under foot?

²⁹ The next day John saw Jesus coming unto him, and said, Behold the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world.

¹⁹ But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot: ²⁰ Who verily was foreordained before the foundation of the world, but was manifest in these last times for you,

⁸ And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him, whose names are not written in the book of life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.

⁵ And a tenth part of an ephah of flour for a grain offering, mixed with the fourth part of a hin of beaten olive oil.

⁴² This shall be a continual burnt offering throughout your generations at the door of the tabernacle of meeting before the LORD: where I will meet you, to speak there unto you.

⁶ It is a continual burnt offering, which was ordained in mount Sinai for a sweet aroma, a sacrifice made by fire unto the LORD.

²⁷ Who needs not daily, as those high priests, to offer up sacrifice, first for his own sins, and then for the people's: for this he did once, when he offered up himself.

²⁶ For then must he often have suffered since the foundation of the world: but now once in the end of the age has he appeared to put away sin by the sacrifice of himself.

¹ For the law having a shadow of good things to come, and not the very image of the things, can never with those sacrifices which they offered year by year continually make the ones approaching perfect. ² For then would they not have ceased to be offered? because the worshipers once purged should have had no more consciousness of sins. ³ But in those sacrifices there is a remembrance again made of sins every year. ⁴ For it is not possible that the blood of bulls and of goats should take away sins. ⁵ Therefore when he comes into the world, he says, Sacrifice and offering you desired not, but a body have you prepared me: ⁶ In burnt offerings and sacrifices for sin you have had no pleasure. ⁷ Then said I, Lo, I come (in the volume of the book it is written of me,) to do your will, O God. ⁸ Above when he said, Sacrifice and offering and burnt offerings and offering for sin you desired not, neither had pleasure in them; which are offered by the law; ⁹ Then said he, Lo, I come to do your will, O God. He takes away the first, that he may establish the second. ¹⁰ By the which will we are sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.

⁵ And Abraham gave all that he had unto Isaac. ⁶ But unto the sons of the concubines, whom Abraham had, Abraham gave gifts, and sent them away from Isaac his son, while he yet lived, eastward, unto the east country.

³ And their father gave them great gifts of silver, and of gold, and of precious things, with fortified cities in Judah: but the kingdom gave he to Jehoram; because he was the firstborn.

¹⁸ The LORD knows the days of the upright: and their inheritance shall be forever.

³⁴ Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, you blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world:

⁴² But one thing is needful: and Mary has chosen that good part, which shall not be taken away from her.

³⁵ And the servant abides not in the house forever: but the Son abides ever. ³⁶ If the Son therefore shall make you free, you shall be free indeed.

¹⁵ For you have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but you have received the Spirit of adoption, by which we cry, Abba, Father. ¹⁶ The Spirit himself bears witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God: ¹⁷ And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, so that we may be also glorified together.

²⁹ For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren. ³⁰ Moreover whom he did predestinate, them he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified. ³¹ What shall we then say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? ³² He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things?

⁷ Therefore you are no more a servant, but a son; and if a son, then an heir of God through Christ.

¹⁰ And you shall hallow the fiftieth year, and proclaim liberty throughout all the land unto all the inhabitants thereof: it shall be a jubilee unto you; and you shall return every man unto his possession, and you shall return every man unto his family.

¹⁴ For the kingdom of heaven is as a man traveling into a far country, who called his own servants, and delivered unto them his goods. ¹⁵ And unto one he gave five talents, to another two, and to another one; to every man according to his own ability; and immediately took his journey. ¹⁶ Then he that had received the five talents went and traded with the same, and made five other talents. ¹⁷ And likewise he that had received two, he also gained another two. ¹⁸ But he that had received one went and dug in the earth, and hid his lord's money. ¹⁹ After a long time the lord of those servants came, and settled accounts with them. ²⁰ And so he that had received five talents came and brought five other talents, saying, Lord, you delivered unto me five talents: behold, I have gained beside them five talents more. ²¹ His lord said unto him, Well done, you good and faithful servant: you have been faithful over a few things, I will make you ruler over many things: enter into the joy of your lord. ²² He also that had received two talents came and said, Lord, you delivered unto me two talents: behold, I have gained two other talents beside them. ²³ His lord said unto him, Well done, good and faithful servant; you have been faithful over a few things, I will make you ruler over many things: enter into the joy of your lord. ²⁴ Then he who had received the one talent came and said, Lord, I knew you that you are a hard man, reaping where you have not sown, and gathering where you have not spread: ²⁵ And I was afraid, and went and hid your talent in the earth: lo, there you have what is yours. ²⁶ His lord answered and said unto him, You wicked and slothful servant, you knew that I reap where I sowed not, and gather where I have not spread: ²⁷ You ought therefore to have put my money to the exchangers, and then at my coming I should have received my own with interest. ²⁸ Take therefore the talent from him, and give it unto him who has ten talents. ²⁹ For unto everyone that has shall be given, and he shall have abundance: but from him that has not shall be taken away even that which he has.

²⁵ (And they said unto him, Lord, he has ten pounds.) ²⁶ For I say unto you, That unto everyone who has shall be given; and from him that has not, even what he has shall be taken away from him.

³⁰ Nevertheless what says the scripture? Cast out the bondwoman and her son: for the son of the bondwoman shall not be heir with the son of the free woman. ³¹ So then, brethren, we are not children of the bondwoman, but of the free.

¹⁹ And you shall speak unto him, saying, Thus says the LORD, Have you killed, and also taken possession? And you shall speak unto him, saying, Thus says the LORD, In the place where dogs licked the blood of Naboth shall dogs lick your blood, even yours.

¹⁸ You have ascended on high, you have led captivity captive: you have received gifts for men; yea, for the rebellious also, that the LORD God might dwell among them.

² He shall judge your people with righteousness, and your poor with justice. ³ The mountains shall bring peace to the people, and the little hills, by righteousness. ⁴ He shall judge the poor of the people, he shall save the children of the needy, and shall break in pieces the oppressor.

⁷² So he fed them according to the integrity of his heart; and guided them by the skillfulness of his hands.

³ And his delight shall be in the fear of the LORD: and he shall not judge after the sight of his eyes, neither reprove after the hearing of his ears: ⁴ But with righteousness shall he judge the poor, and decide with equity for the meek of the earth: and he shall strike the earth with the rod of his mouth, and with the breath of his lips shall he slay the wicked.

¹ Behold, a king shall reign in righteousness, and princes shall rule in justice. ² And a man shall be as a hiding place from the wind, and a refuge from the tempest; as rivers of water in a dry place, as the shadow of a great rock in a weary land.

⁵ Behold, the days come, says the LORD, that I will raise unto David a righteous Branch, and a King shall reign and prosper, and shall execute justice and righteousness in the earth. ⁶ In his days Judah shall be saved, and Israel shall dwell safely: and this is his name by which he shall be called, THE LORD OUR RIGHTEOUSNESS.

²⁷ Her princes in her midst are like wolves tearing the prey, to shed blood, and to destroy souls, to get dishonest gain.

³ You eat the fat, and you clothe yourselves with the wool, you kill them that are fed: but you feed not the flock. ⁴ The diseased have you not strengthened, neither have you healed those who were sick, neither have you bound up those who were broken, neither have you brought again those who were driven away, neither have you sought those who were lost; but with force and with cruelty have you ruled them. ⁵ And they were scattered, because there is no shepherd: and they became food to all the beasts of the field, when they were scattered. ⁶ My sheep wandered through all the mountains, and upon every high hill: yea, my flock was scattered upon all the face of the earth, and none did search or seek after them.

²¹ Because you have thrust with side and with shoulder, and pushed all the diseased with your horns, till you have scattered them abroad;

⁸ In the land shall be his possession in Israel: and my princes shall no more oppress my people; and the rest of the land shall they give to the house of Israel according to their tribes.

¹ The word of the LORD that came to Micah the Morasthite in the days of Jotham, Ahaz, and Hezekiah, kings of Judah, which he saw concerning Samaria and Jerusalem. ² Hear, all you people; hearken, O earth, and all that is in it: and let the Lord GOD be witness against you, the Lord from his holy temple.

¹ Woe to them that devise iniquity, and work evil upon their beds! when the morning is light, they practice it, because it is in the power of their hand. ² And they covet fields, and take them by violence; and houses, and take them away: so they oppress a man and his house, even a man and his heritage.

¹ And I said, Hear, I pray you, O heads of Jacob, and you rulers of the house of Israel; Is it not for you to know judgment? ² Who hate the good, and love the evil; who pluck off their skin from off them, and their flesh from off their bones; ³ Who also eat the flesh of my people, and flay their skin from off them; and they break their bones, and chop them in pieces, as for the pot, and as flesh within the caldron.

²⁸ And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand.

⁸ Therefore he says, When he ascended up on high, he led captivity captive, and gave gifts unto men.

⁴⁴ And outside the inner gate were the chambers for the singers in the inner court, one at the side of the north gate; facing toward the south: one at the side of the east gate facing toward the north. ⁴⁵ And he said unto me, This chamber, facing toward the south, is for the priests, the keepers in charge of the house. ⁴⁶ And the chamber facing toward the north is for the priests, the keepers in charge of the altar: these are the sons of Zadok among the sons of Levi, who come near to the LORD to minister unto him.

⁹ And below these chambers was an entrance on the east side, as one goes into them from the outer court.

⁴ Then he brought me by way of the north gate to the front of the house: and I looked, and, behold, the glory of the LORD filled the house of the LORD: and I fell upon my face. ⁵ And the LORD said unto me, Son of man, mark well, and behold with your eyes, and hear with your ears all that I say unto you concerning all the ordinances of the house of the LORD, and all its laws; and mark well those who may enter the house, going out from the sanctuary.

⁴ And if you bring an offering of a grain offering baked in the oven, it shall be unleavened cakes of fine flour mixed with oil, or unleavened wafers anointed with oil. ⁵ And if your offering be a grain offering baked in a pan, it shall be of fine flour unleavened, mixed with oil. ⁶ You shall break it in pieces, and pour oil thereon: it is a grain offering. ⁷ And if your offering be a grain offering baked in the frying pan, it shall be made of fine flour with oil.

¹ Likewise this is the law of the trespass offering: it is most holy. ² In the place where they kill the burnt offering shall they kill the trespass offering: and the blood thereof shall he sprinkle round about upon the altar. ³ And he shall offer of it all the fat thereof; the fat tail, and the fat that covers the entrails, ⁴ And the two kidneys, and the fat that is on them, which is by the flanks, and the fat that is above the liver, with the kidneys, it shall he take away: ⁵ And the priest shall burn them upon the altar for an offering made by fire unto the LORD: it is a trespass offering. ⁶ Every male among the priests shall eat thereof: it shall be eaten in the holy place: it is most holy. ⁷ As the sin offering is, so is the trespass offering: there is one law for them: the priest that makes atonement with it shall have it. ⁸ And the priest that offers any man's burnt offering, even the priest shall have to himself the skin of the burnt offering which he has offered. ⁹ And all the grain offering that is baked in the oven, and all that is prepared in the frying pan, and in the pan, shall be the priest's that offers it. ¹⁰ And every grain offering, mixed with oil, and dry, shall all the sons of Aaron have, one as much as another. ¹¹ And this is the law of the sacrifice of peace offerings, which he shall offer unto the LORD. ¹² If he offers it for a thanksgiving, then he shall offer with the sacrifice of thanksgiving unleavened cakes mixed with oil, and unleavened wafers anointed with oil, and cakes mixed with oil, of fine flour, fried. ¹³ Besides the cakes, he shall offer for his offering leavened bread with the sacrifice of thanksgiving of his peace offerings. ¹⁴ And of it he shall offer one out of the whole offering for a heave offering unto the LORD, and it shall be the priest's that sprinkles the blood of the peace offerings. ¹⁵ And the flesh of the sacrifice of his peace offerings for thanksgiving shall be eaten the same day that it is offered; he shall not leave any of it until the morning. ¹⁶ But if the sacrifice of his offering be a vow, or a voluntary offering, it shall be eaten the same day that he offers his sacrifice: and the next day also the remainder of it shall be eaten: ¹⁷ But the remainder of the flesh of the sacrifice on the third day shall be burnt with fire. ¹⁸ And if any of the flesh of the sacrifice of his peace offerings be eaten at all on the third day, it shall not be accepted, neither shall it be imputed unto him that offers it: it shall be an abomination, and the soul that eats of it shall bear his iniquity. ¹⁹ And the flesh that touches any unclean thing shall not be eaten; it shall be burnt with fire: and as for the flesh, all that be clean shall eat thereof. ²⁰ But the soul that eats of the flesh of the sacrifice of peace offerings, that pertain unto the LORD, having his uncleanness upon him, even that soul shall be cut off from his people. ²¹ Moreover the soul that shall touch any unclean thing, as the uncleanness of man, or any unclean animal, or any abominable unclean thing, and eat of the flesh of the sacrifice of peace offerings, which pertain unto the LORD, even that soul shall be cut off from his people. ²² And the LORD spoke unto Moses, saying, ²³ Speak unto the children of Israel, saying, You shall eat no manner of fat, of ox, or of sheep, or of goat. ²⁴ And the fat of the animal that dies of itself, and the fat of that which is torn with animals, may be used in any other use: but you shall in no wise eat of it. ²⁵ For whosoever eats the fat of the animal, of which men offer an offering made by fire unto the LORD, even the soul that eats it shall be cut off from his people. ²⁶ Moreover you shall eat no manner of blood, whether it be of fowl or of animal, in any of your dwellings. ²⁷ Whatsoever soul it be that eats any manner of blood, even that soul shall be cut off from his people. ²⁸ And the LORD spoke unto Moses, saying, ²⁹ Speak unto the children of Israel, saying, He that offers the sacrifice of his peace offerings unto the LORD shall bring his offering unto the LORD of the sacrifice of his peace offerings. ³⁰ His own hands shall bring the offerings of the LORD made by fire, the fat with the breast, it shall he bring, that the breast may be waved for a wave offering before the LORD. ³¹ And the priest shall burn the fat upon the altar: but the breast shall be Aaron's and his sons'. ³² And the right shoulder shall you give unto the priest for a heave offering of the sacrifices of your peace offerings. ³³ He among the sons of Aaron, that offers the blood of the peace offerings, and the fat, shall have the right shoulder for his part. ³⁴ For the wave breast and the heave shoulder have I taken of the children of Israel from off the sacrifices of their peace offerings, and have given them unto Aaron the priest and unto his sons by a statute forever from among the children of Israel. ³⁵ This is the portion of the anointing of Aaron, and of the anointing of his sons, out of the offerings of the LORD made by fire, in the day when he presented them to minister unto the LORD in the priest's office; ³⁶ Which the LORD commanded to be given them of the children of Israel, in the day that he anointed them, by a statute forever throughout their generations. ³⁷ This is the law of the burnt offering, of the grain offering, and of the sin offering, and of the trespass offering, and of the consecrations, and of the sacrifice of the peace offerings; ³⁸ Which the LORD commanded Moses in mount Sinai, in the day that he commanded the children of Israel to offer their offerings unto the LORD, in the wilderness of Sinai.

¹³ And the priests' custom with the people was, that, when any man offered sacrifice, the priest's servant came, while the flesh was boiling, with a fleshhook of three teeth in his hand; ¹⁴ And he thrust it into the pan, or kettle, or caldron, or pot; all that the fleshhook brought up the priest took for himself. So they did in Shiloh, unto all the Israelites that came there. ¹⁵ Also before they burned the fat, the priest's servant came, and said to the man that sacrificed, Give meat to roast for the priest; for he will not have boiled meat from you, but raw.

¹³ And they roasted the passover with fire according to the ordinance: but the other holy offerings boiled they in pots, and in caldrons, and in pans, and divided them quickly among all the lay people.

¹⁹ And when they go forth into the outer court, even into the outer court to the people, they shall put off their garments in which they ministered, and lay them in the holy chambers, and they shall put on other garments; and they shall not sanctify the people with their garments.

²⁹ They shall eat the grain offering, and the sin offering, and the trespass offering; and every dedicated thing in Israel shall be theirs.

²⁰ Then said he unto me, This is the place where the priests shall boil the trespass offering and the sin offering, where they shall bake the grain offering; that they bear them not out into the outer court, to sanctify the people.

⁴⁵ Who then is a faithful and wise servant, whom his lord has made ruler over his household, to give them food at the proper time?

¹⁵ So when they had dined, Jesus said to Simon Peter, Simon, son of Jonas, do you love me more than these? He said unto him, Yea, Lord; you know that I love you. He said unto him, Feed my lambs. ¹⁶ He said to him again the second time, Simon, son of Jonas, do you love me? He said unto him, Yea, Lord; you know that I love you. He said unto him, Feed my sheep. ¹⁷ He said unto him the third time, Simon, son of Jonas, do you love me? Peter was grieved because he said unto him the third time, Do you love me? And he said unto him, Lord, you know all things; you know that I love you. Jesus said unto him, Feed my sheep.

² Feed the flock of God which is among you, taking the oversight thereof, not by constraint, but willingly; not for dishonest gain, but of a ready mind;
