¹ Then answered Bildad the Shuhite, and said, ² Dominion and fear are with him, he makes peace in his high places. ³ Is there any number to his armies? and upon whom does not his light arise? ⁴ How then can man be justified with God? or how can he be clean that is born of a woman? ⁵ Behold even to the moon, and it shines not; yea, the stars are not pure in his sight. ⁶ How much less man, that is a worm? and the son of man, who is a worm?

¹¹ Yours, O LORD, is the greatness, and the power, and the glory, and the victory, and the majesty: for all that is in the heaven and in the earth is yours; yours is the kingdom, O LORD, and you are exalted as head above all. ¹² Both riches and honor come from you, and you reign over all; and in your hand is power and might; and in your hand it is to make great, and to give strength unto all.

² I know it is so of a truth: but how should man be just before God? ³ If he will contend with him, he cannot answer him one of a thousand. ⁴ He is wise in heart, and mighty in strength: who has hardened himself against him, and has prospered? ⁵ Who removes the mountains, and they know not: who overturns them in his anger. ⁶ Who shakes the earth out of its place, and the pillars thereof tremble. ⁷ Who commands the sun, and it rises not; and seals up the stars. ⁸ Who alone spreads out the heavens, and treads upon the waves of the sea. ⁹ Who makes the Bear, Orion, and Pleiades, and the chambers of the south. ¹⁰ Who does great things past finding out; yea, and wonders without number.

⁵ Dead things are formed from under the waters, and the inhabitants thereof. ⁶ Sheol is naked before him, and destruction has no covering. ⁷ He stretches out the north over the empty place, and hangs the earth upon nothing. ⁸ He binds up the waters in his thick clouds; and the cloud is not torn under them. ⁹ He holds back the face of his throne, and spreads his cloud upon it. ¹⁰ He has drawn a circle on the waters at the boundary where the day and night come together. ¹¹ The pillars of heaven tremble and are astonished at his rebuke. ¹² He divides the sea with his power, and by his understanding he strikes through the storm. ¹³ By his spirit he has adorned the heavens; his hand has pierced the fleeing serpent. ¹⁴ Lo, these are only parts of his ways: and how little a whisper is heard of him? but the thunder of his power who can understand?

⁹ Have you an arm like God? or can you thunder with a voice like him? ¹⁰ Deck yourself now with majesty and splendor; and array yourself with glory and beauty. ¹¹ Put forth the rage of your wrath: and behold every one that is proud, and abase him. ¹² Look on every one that is proud, and bring him low; and tread down the wicked in their place. ¹³ Hide them in the dust together; and bind their faces in secret. ¹⁴ Then will I also confess unto you that your own right hand can save you.

¹ The LORD reigns; let the people tremble: he sits between the cherubim; let the earth be moved. ² The LORD is great in Zion; and he is high above all the people. ³ Let them praise your great and awesome name; for it is holy.

¹⁵ For thus says the high and lofty One that inhabits eternity, whose name is Holy; I dwell in the high and holy place, with him also that is of a contrite and humble spirit, to revive the spirit of the humble, and to revive the heart of the contrite ones.

¹⁹ I create the fruit of the lips; Peace, peace to him that is far off, and to him that is near, says the LORD; and I will heal him.

⁶ Since as there is none like unto you, O LORD; you are great, and your name is great in might. ⁷ Who would not fear you, O King of nations? for to you is it due: since among all the wise men of the nations, and in all their kingdoms, there is none like unto you.

³⁴ And at the end of the days I Nebuchadnezzar lifted up my eyes unto heaven, and my understanding returned unto me, and I blessed the most High, and I praised and honored him that lives forever, whose dominion is an everlasting dominion, and his kingdom is from generation to generation: ³⁵ And all the inhabitants of the earth are reputed as nothing: and he does according to his will in the army of heaven, and among the inhabitants of the earth: and none can restrain his hand, or say unto him, What do you? ³⁶ At the same time my reason returned unto me; and for the glory of my kingdom, my honor and brightness returned unto me; and my counselors and my lords sought unto me; and I was established in my kingdom, and excellent majesty was added unto me. ³⁷ Now I Nebuchadnezzar praise and extol and honor the King of heaven, all whose works are truth, and his ways judgment: and those that walk in pride he is able to abase.

⁹ Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God.

¹³ And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For yours is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever. Amen.

¹⁸ And Jesus came and spoke unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.

¹⁸ And all things are of God, who has reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and has given to us the ministry of reconciliation; ¹⁹ That is, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and has committed unto us the word of reconciliation. ²⁰ Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you on Christ's behalf, be reconciled to God. ²¹ For he has made him, who knew no sin, to be sin for us; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.

²⁰ Which he performed in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and set him at his own right hand in the heavenly places, ²¹ Far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this age, but also in that which is to come:

¹⁶ And that he might reconcile both unto God in one body by the cross, having slain the enmity thereby: ¹⁷ And came and preached peace to you who were afar off, and to them that were near.

²⁰ And, having made peace through the blood of his cross, by him to reconcile all things unto himself; by him, I say, whether they be things in earth, or things in heaven.

²⁵ To the only wise God our Savior, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and forever. Amen.

¹⁶ And said to the mountains and rocks, Fall on us, and hide us from the face of him that sits on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb:

³ And God said, Let there be light: and there was light. ⁴ And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness. ⁵ And God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And the evening and the morning were the first day.

¹⁴ And God said, Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days, and years: ¹⁵ And let them be for lights in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth: and it was so. ¹⁶ And God made two great lights; the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night: he made the stars also.

¹² Have you commanded the morning since your days began; and caused the dawn to know its place; ¹³ That it might take hold of the ends of the earth, that the wicked might be shaken out of it?

⁴ Their line is gone out through all the earth, and their words to the end of the world. In them has he set a tabernacle for the sun, ⁵ Which is as a bridegroom coming out of his chamber, and rejoices as a strong man to run a race. ⁶ Its going forth is from the end of the heaven, and its circuit unto the ends of it: and there is nothing hid from the heat thereof.

²⁰ Bless the LORD, you his angels, that excel in strength, that do his commandments, hearkening unto the voice of his word. ²¹ Bless you the LORD, all you his hosts; you ministers of his, that do his pleasure.

² Praise him, all his angels: praise him, all his hosts. ³ Praise him, sun and moon: praise him, all you stars of light. ⁴ Praise him, you heavens of heavens, and you waters that be above the heavens.

²⁶ Lift up your eyes on high, and behold who has created these things, that brings out their host by number: he calls them all by names by the greatness of his might, for he is strong in power; not one is missing.

¹⁰ A fiery stream issued and came forth from before him: thousand thousands ministered unto him, and ten thousand times ten thousand stood before him: the judgment was set, and the books were opened.

⁴⁵ That you may be the children of your Father who is in heaven: for he makes his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sends rain on the just and on the unjust.

⁵³ Think you that I cannot now pray to my Father, and he shall presently give me more than twelve legions of angels?

⁴ In him was life; and the life was the light of men.

⁹ That was the true Light, that lights every man that comes into the world.

¹⁷ Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and comes down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.

¹¹ And I beheld, and I heard the voice of many angels round about the throne and the living creatures and the elders: and the number of them was ten thousand times ten thousand, and thousands of thousands;

¹⁷ Shall mortal man be more just than God? shall a man be more pure than his maker? ¹⁸ Behold, he put no trust in his servants; and his angels he charged with folly: ¹⁹ How much less in them that dwell in houses of clay, whose foundation is in the dust, who are crushed before the moth?

² I know it is so of a truth: but how should man be just before God?

³ And do you open your eyes upon such a one, and bring me into judgment with you? ⁴ Who can bring a clean thing out of an unclean? no one.

¹⁴ What is man, that he should be clean? and he who is born of a woman, that he should be righteous? ¹⁵ Behold, he puts no trust in his holy ones; yea, the heavens are not clean in his sight. ¹⁶ How much more abominable and filthy is man, who drinks iniquity like water?

⁵ Behold, I was brought forth in iniquity, and in sin did my mother conceive me.

³ If you, LORD, should mark iniquities, O Lord, who shall stand?

² And enter not into judgment with your servant: for in your sight shall no man living be justified.

¹ In that day there shall be a fountain opened to the house of David and to the inhabitants of Jerusalem, for sin and for uncleanness.

¹⁹ Now we know that whatsoever things the law says, it says to them who are under the law: that every mouth may be stopped, and all the world may become guilty before God. ²⁰ Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for by the law is the knowledge of sin.

¹ Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ:

¹¹ And such were some of you: but you are washed, but you are sanctified, but you are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God.

³ Among whom also we all had our behavior in times past in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind; and were by nature the children of wrath, even as others.

⁹ If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

⁵ And from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, and the first begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth. Unto him that loves us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood,

¹⁵ Behold, he puts no trust in his holy ones; yea, the heavens are not clean in his sight.

²⁶ If I beheld the sun when it shined, or the moon moving in brightness;

²³ Then the moon shall be confounded, and the sun ashamed, when the LORD of hosts shall reign in mount Zion, and in Jerusalem, and before his elders gloriously.

¹⁹ The sun shall be no more your light by day; neither for brightness shall the moon give light unto you: but the LORD shall be unto you an everlasting light, and your God your glory. ²⁰ Your sun shall no more go down; neither shall your moon withdraw itself: for the LORD shall be your everlasting light, and the days of your mourning shall be ended.

¹⁰ For even that which was made glorious had no glory in this respect, by reason of the glory that excels.

²⁷ And Abraham answered and said, Behold now, I have taken upon me to speak unto the Lord, who am but dust and ashes:

¹⁹ How much less in them that dwell in houses of clay, whose foundation is in the dust, who are crushed before the moth?

¹⁷ What is man, that you should magnify him? and that you should set your heart upon him?

⁶ But I am a worm, and no man; a reproach of men, and despised of the people.

¹⁴ Fear not, you worm Jacob, and you men of Israel; I will help you, says the LORD, and your redeemer, the Holy One of Israel.
