⁹ And now am I their song, yea, I am their byword.

⁴ I am as one mocked of his neighbor, who calls upon God, and he answers him: the just upright man is laughed to scorn.

⁶ He has made me also a byword of the people; and I was as one before whom men spit.

¹⁴ You make us a byword among the nations, a shaking of the head among the people.

¹¹ I made sackcloth also my garment; and I became a proverb to them. ¹² They that sit in the gate speak against me; and I was the song of the drunkards.

¹⁴ I was a derision to all my people; and their song all the day.

⁶³ Behold their sitting down, and their rising up; I am their music.
