¹⁷ If you know these things, happy are you if you do them.

²² Thus did Noah; according to all that God commanded him, so did he.

¹¹ Moreover by them is your servant warned: and in keeping of them there is great reward.

¹ [Aleph] Blessed are the undefiled in the way, who walk in the law of the LORD. ² Blessed are they that keep his testimonies, and that seek him with the whole heart. ³ They also do no iniquity: they walk in his ways. ⁴ You have commanded us to keep your precepts diligently. ⁵ O that my ways were directed to keep your statutes!

²⁷ And I will put my spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes, and you shall keep my judgments, and do them.

²⁴ Therefore whosoever hears these sayings of mine, and does them, I will liken him unto a wise man, who built his house upon a rock: ²⁵ And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock.

⁵⁰ For whosoever shall do the will of my Father who is in heaven, the same is my brother, and sister, and mother.

³⁸ This is the first and great commandment. ³⁹ And the second is like unto it, You shall love your neighbor as yourself. ⁴⁰ On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets. ⁴¹ While the Pharisees were gathered together, Jesus asked them,

²⁸ But he said, Yea rather, blessed are they that hear the word of God, and keep it.

⁴⁷ And that servant, who knew his lord's will, and prepared not himself, neither did according to his will, shall be beaten with many stripes. ⁴⁸ But he that knew not, and did commit things worthy of stripes, shall be beaten with few stripes. For unto whomever much is given, of him shall be much required: and to whom men have committed much, of him they will ask the more.

¹⁴ You are my friends, if you do whatsoever I command you.

¹⁴ For the love of Christ constrains us; because we thus judge, that if one died for all, then were all dead: ¹⁵ And that he died for all, that they who live should no longer live unto themselves, but unto him who died for them, and rose again.

⁶ For in Jesus Christ neither circumcision avails anything, nor uncircumcision; but faith which works by love.

⁷ By faith Noah, being warned of God of things not seen as yet, moved by fear, prepared an ark to the saving of his house; by which he condemned the world, and became heir of the righteousness which is by faith. ⁸ By faith Abraham, when he was called to go out into a place which he should later receive for an inheritance, obeyed; and he went out, not knowing where he went.

²⁵ But whoever looks into the perfect law of liberty, and continues in it, he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed.

²⁰ But will you know, O vain man, that faith without works is dead? ²¹ Was not Abraham our father justified by works, when he had offered Isaac his son upon the altar? ²² See how faith worked with his works, and by works was faith made perfect? ²³ And the scripture was fulfilled which says, Abraham believed God, and it was imputed unto him for righteousness: and he was called the Friend of God. ²⁴ You see then how that by works a man is justified, and not by faith only.

¹⁷ Therefore to him that knows to do good, and does it not, to him it is sin.

¹⁴ Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city.
