Of David.] Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity! ² It is like the precious ointment upon the head, that ran down upon the beard, even Aaron's beard: that went down to the skirts of his garments; ³ As the dew of Hermon, and as the dew that descended upon the mountains of Zion: for there the LORD commanded the blessing, even life forevermore.

⁸ And Abram said unto Lot, Let there be no strife, I pray you, between me and you, and between my herdsmen and your herdsmen; for we are brethren.

²⁴ So he sent his brothers away, and they departed: and he said unto them, See that you fall not out by the way.

²⁶ Then Abner called to Joab, and said, Shall the sword devour forever? know you not that it will be bitterness in the latter end? how long shall it be then, before you bid the people return from following their brethren? ²⁷ And Joab said, As God lives, unless you had spoken, surely then in the morning the people would have gone up every one from following his brother.

⁶ Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: they shall prosper that love you. ⁷ Peace be within your walls, and prosperity within your palaces. ⁸ For my brethren and companions' sakes, I will now say, Peace be within you.

⁶ The wolf also shall dwell with the lamb, and the leopard shall lie down with the kid; and the calf and the young lion and the fatling together; and a little child shall lead them.

⁹ They shall not hurt nor destroy in all my holy mountain: for the earth shall be full of the knowledge of the LORD, as the waters cover the sea.

¹³ The envy also of Ephraim shall depart, and the adversaries of Judah shall be cut off: Ephraim shall not envy Judah, and Judah shall not harass Ephraim.

³⁹ And I will give them one heart, and one way, that they may fear me forever, for the good of them, and of their children after them:

³⁵ By this shall all men know that you are my disciples, if you have love one to another.

²¹ That they all may be one; as you, Father, are in me, and I in you, that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that you have sent me.

¹⁰ Now I beseech you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that you all speak the same thing, and that there be no divisions among you; but that you be perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the same judgment.

³ Endeavoring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace. ⁴ There is one body, and one Spirit, even as you are called in one hope of your calling; ⁵ One Lord, one faith, one baptism, ⁶ One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all.

² Fulfill you my joy, that you be like minded, having the same love, being of one accord, of one mind. ³ Let nothing be done through strife or vain glory; but in lowliness of mind let each esteem others better than themselves. ⁴ Look not every man on his own things, but every man also on the things of others. ⁵ Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus:

¹ Let brotherly love continue.

⁸ Finally, be all of one mind, having compassion one with another, love as brethren, be tender hearted, be courteous:

¹⁴ We know that we have passed from death unto life, because we love the brethren. He that loves not his brother abides in death. ¹⁵ Whosoever hates his brother is a murderer: and you know that no murderer has eternal life abiding in him. ¹⁶ By this perceive we the love of God, because he laid down his life for us: and we ought to lay down our lives for the brethren. ¹⁷ But whoever has this world's goods, and sees his brother have need, and shuts up his heart of compassion from him, how dwells the love of God in him? ¹⁸ My little children, let us not love in word, neither in tongue; but in deed and in truth. ¹⁹ And by this we know that we are of the truth, and shall assure our hearts before him.

³³ And beneath upon the hem of it you shall make pomegranates of blue, and of purple, and of scarlet, round about the hem of it; and bells of gold between them round about:

⁷ Then shall you take the anointing oil, and pour it upon his head, and anoint him.

²⁵ And you shall make it an oil of holy anointing, an ointment compounded after the art of the perfumer: it shall be a holy anointing oil. ²⁶ And you shall anoint the tabernacle of meeting with it, and the ark of the testimony, ²⁷ And the table and all its utensils, and the lampstand and its utensils, and the altar of incense, ²⁸ And the altar of burnt offering with all its utensils, and the laver and its base. ²⁹ And you shall sanctify them, that they may be most holy: whatsoever touches them shall be holy. ³⁰ And you shall anoint Aaron and his sons, and consecrate them, that they may minister unto me in the priest's office.

²⁴ And they made upon the hems of the robe pomegranates of blue, and purple, and scarlet, and twined linen.

¹² And he poured of the anointing oil upon Aaron's head, and anointed him, to sanctify him.

⁵ Let the righteous strike me; it shall be a kindness: and let him reprove me; it shall be an excellent oil, which shall not break my head: for yet my prayer also shall be against their evil.

⁹ Ointment and perfume rejoice the heart: so does the sweetness of a man's friend by hearty counsel.

³ Because of the fragrance of your good ointments your name is as ointment poured forth, therefore do the virgins love you.

³ Then took Mary a pound of ointment of spikenard, very costly, and anointed the feet of Jesus, and wiped his feet with her hair: and the house was filled with the odor of the ointment.

²¹ Then I will command my blessing upon you in the sixth year, and it shall bring forth fruit for three years.

⁸ And we took at that time out of the hand of the two kings of the Amorites the land that was on this side of Jordan, from the river of Arnon unto mount Hermon; ⁹ (Which Hermon the Sidonians call Sirion; and the Amorites call it Senir;)

⁴⁸ From Aroer, which is by the bank of the river Arnon, even unto mount Sion, which is Hermon,

⁸ The LORD shall command the blessing upon you in your storehouses, and in all that you set your hand unto; and he shall bless you in the land which the LORD your God gives you.

¹¹ And Gilead, and the border of the Geshurites and Maachathites, and all mount Hermon, and all Bashan unto Salecah;

¹¹ You will show me the path of life: in your presence is fullness of joy; at your right hand there are pleasures forevermore.

⁴ He asked life of you, and you gave it to him, even length of days forever and ever.

⁸ Yet the LORD will command his lovingkindness in the daytime, and in the night his song shall be with me, and my prayer unto the God of my life.

¹² The king's wrath is as the roaring of a lion; but his favor is as dew upon the grass.

⁷ And the remnant of Jacob shall be in the midst of many people as a dew from the LORD, as the showers upon the grass, that tarries not for man, nor waits for the sons of men.

¹⁴ But whosoever drinks of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life.

²⁴ Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that hears my word, and believes on him that sent me, has everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.

²⁹ And shall come forth; they that have done good, unto the resurrection of life; and they that have done evil, unto the resurrection of condemnation.

⁵⁰ This is the bread which comes down from heaven, that a man may eat thereof, and not die. ⁵¹ I am the living bread which came down from heaven: if any man eat of this bread, he shall live forever: and the bread that I will give is my flesh, which I will give for the life of the world.

⁶⁸ Then Simon Peter answered him, Lord, to whom shall we go? you have the words of eternal life.

²⁵ Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believes in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live: ²⁶ And whosoever lives and believes in me shall never die. Do you believe this?

²¹ That as sin has reigned unto death, even so might grace reign through righteousness unto eternal life by Jesus Christ our Lord.

²³ For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

²⁵ And this is the promise that he has promised us, even eternal life.

¹¹ And this is the witness, that God has given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son.

¹⁸ I am he that lives, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive forevermore, Amen; and have the keys of hades and of death.
