A maschil, a Psalm of David, when the Ziphites came and said to Saul, Does not David hide himself with us?] Save me, O God, by your name, and judge me by your strength. ² Hear my prayer, O God; give ear to the words of my mouth. ³ For strangers are risen up against me, and oppressors seek after my soul: they have not set God before them. Selah. ⁴ Behold, God is my helper: the Lord is with them that uphold my soul. ⁵ He shall reward evil unto my enemies: cut them off in your truth. ⁶ I will freely sacrifice unto you: I will praise your name, O LORD; for it is good. ⁷ For he has delivered me out of all trouble: and my eye has seen his desire upon my enemies.

¹⁴ And God said unto Moses, I AM THAT I AM: and he said, Thus shall you say unto the children of Israel, I AM has sent me unto you. ¹⁵ And God said moreover unto Moses, Thus shall you say unto the children of Israel, The LORD God of your fathers, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob, has sent me unto you: this is my name forever, and this is my memorial unto all generations.

²¹ Beware of him, and obey his voice, provoke him not; for he will not pardon your transgressions: for my name is in him.

⁵ And the LORD descended in the cloud, and stood with him there, and proclaimed the name of the LORD. ⁶ And the LORD passed by before him, and proclaimed, The LORD, The LORD God, merciful and gracious, longsuffering, and abundant in goodness and truth,

¹⁹ Then came up the Ziphites to Saul to Gibeah, saying, Does not David hide himself with us in strongholds in the forest, in the hill of Hachilah, which is on the south of Jeshimon? ²⁰ Now therefore, O king, come down according to all the desire of your soul to come down; and our part shall be to deliver him into the king's hand.

¹ And the Ziphites came unto Saul to Gibeah, saying, Does not David hide himself on the hill of Hachilah, which is opposite Jeshimon?

⁶ And said, O LORD God of our fathers, are not you God in heaven? and rule you not over all the kingdoms of the nations? and in your hand is there not power and might, so that none is able to withstand you?

¹ [To the Chief Musician. A Psalm of David.] The LORD hear you in the day of trouble; the name of the God of Jacob defend you;

¹ [A Psalm of David.] Judge me, O LORD; for I have walked in my integrity: I have trusted also in the LORD; therefore I shall not slide.

¹ Judge me, O God, and plead my cause against an ungodly nation: O deliver me from the deceitful and unjust man. ² For you are the God of my strength: why do you cast me off? why go I mourning because of the oppression of the enemy?

¹⁰ According to your name, O God, so is your praise unto the ends of the earth: your right hand is full of righteousness.

⁹ Help us, O God of our salvation, for the glory of your name: and deliver us, and purge away our sins, for your name's sake.

⁴ The king's strength also loves justice; you do establish equity, you execute justice and righteousness in Jacob.

¹⁰ The name of the LORD is a strong tower: the righteous runs into it, and is safe.

¹¹ For their redeemer is mighty; he shall plead their cause with you.

²⁷ Behold, the name of the LORD comes from afar, burning with his anger, and the burden thereof is heavy: his lips are full of indignation, and his tongue like a devouring fire:

³⁴ Their Redeemer is strong; the LORD of hosts is his name: he shall thoroughly plead their cause, that he may give rest to the land, but unrest to the inhabitants of Babylon.

⁵ Trust not in a friend, put not confidence in a companion: keep the doors of your mouth from her that lies in your bosom. ⁶ For the son dishonors the father, the daughter rises up against her mother, the daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law; a man's enemies are the men of his own house.

²¹ And she shall bring forth a son, and you shall call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins.

²³ Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us.

²¹ And the brother shall deliver up the brother to death, and the father the child: and the children shall rise up against their parents, and cause them to be put to death.

¹² Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is no other name under heaven given among men, by which we must be saved.

A Psalm of David.] Give ear to my words, O LORD, consider my meditation. ² Hearken unto the voice of my cry, my King, and my God: for unto you will I pray. ³ My voice shall you hear in the morning, O LORD; in the morning will I direct my prayer unto you, and will look up.

³ Consider and hear me, O LORD my God: lighten my eyes, lest I sleep the sleep of death;

² Lord, hear my voice: let your ears be attentive to the voice of my supplications.

⁷ Hear me speedily, O LORD: my spirit fails: hide not your face from me, lest I be like unto them that go down into the pit.

¹³ He has put my brethren far from me, and my acquaintances are wholly estranged from me. ¹⁴ My kinsfolk have failed, and my close friends have forgotten me. ¹⁵ They that dwell in my house, and my maidservants, count me as a stranger: I am an alien in their sight.

⁸ I have set the LORD always before me: because he is at my right hand, I shall not be moved.

¹⁶ For dogs have compassed me: the assembly of the wicked have enclosed me: they pierced my hands and my feet.

¹ [To the Chief Musician. A Psalm of David the servant of the LORD.] The transgression of the wicked says within my heart, that there is no fear of God before his eyes.

¹⁴ Let them be ashamed and confounded together that seek after my soul to destroy it; let them be driven backward and put to shame that wish me evil.

⁴ Have the workers of iniquity no knowledge? who eat up my people as they eat bread: they have not called upon God.

³ For, lo, they lie in wait for my soul: the mighty are gathered against me; not for my transgression, nor for my sin, O LORD. ⁴ They run and prepare themselves apart from my fault: awake to help me, and behold. ⁵ You therefore, O LORD God of hosts, the God of Israel, awake to punish all the nations: be not merciful to any wicked transgressors. Selah.

⁸ I have become a stranger unto my brethren, and an alien unto my mother’s children.

¹⁴ O God, the proud are risen against me, and the assemblies of violent men have sought after my soul; and have not set you before them.

²⁰ But the chief priests and elders persuaded the multitude that they should ask for Barabbas, and destroy Jesus. ²¹ The governor answered and said unto them, Which of the two will you that I release unto you? They said, Barabbas. ²² Pilate said unto them, What shall I do then with Jesus who is called Christ? They all said unto him, Let him be crucified. ²³ And the governor said, Why, what evil has he done? But they cried out the more, saying, Let him be crucified.

³ And these things will they do unto you, because they have not known the Father, nor me.

¹⁸ Then the spirit came upon Amasai, who was chief of the captains, and he said, Yours we are, David, and on your side, you son of Jesse: peace, peace be unto you, and peace be to your helpers; for your God helps you. Then David received them, and made them captains of his troop.

¹² And as for me, you uphold me in my integrity, and set me before your face forever.

⁶ The LORD is on my side; I will not fear: what can man do unto me? ⁷ The LORD takes my part with them that help me: therefore shall I see my desire upon them that hate me.

¹³ You have thrust hard at me that I might fall: but the LORD helped me.

¹⁰ Fear not; for I am with you: be not dismayed; for I am your God: I will strengthen you; yea, I will help you; yea, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness.

¹ Behold my servant, whom I uphold; my elect, in whom my soul delights; I have put my spirit upon him: he shall bring forth justice to the Gentiles.

⁷ For the Lord GOD will help me; therefore shall I not be confounded: therefore have I set my face like a flint, and I know that I shall not be ashamed. ⁸ He is near that justifies me; who will contend with me? let us stand together: who is my adversary? let him come near to me. ⁹ Behold, the Lord GOD will help me; who is he that shall condemn me? lo, they all shall grow old as a garment; the moth shall eat them up.

³¹ What shall we then say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?

⁶ So that we may boldly say, The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me.

⁸ Lead me, O LORD, in your righteousness because of my enemies; make your way straight before my face.

¹¹ Teach me your way, O LORD, and lead me in a level path, because of my enemies.

²³ O love the LORD, all you his saints: for the LORD preserves the faithful, and plentifully repays the proud doer.

⁴⁹ Lord, where are your former lovingkindnesses, which you swore unto David in your truth?

²³ And he shall bring upon them their own iniquity, and shall cut them off in their own wickedness; yea, the LORD our God shall cut them off.

⁸ O daughter of Babylon, who are to be destroyed; happy shall he be, that rewards you as you have served us.

¹ [A Psalm of David.] Hear my prayer, O LORD, give ear to my supplications: in your faithfulness answer me, and in your righteousness.

¹² And in your mercy cut off my enemies, and destroy all them that afflict my soul: for I am your servant.

¹⁴ Alexander the coppersmith did me much evil: the Lord reward him according to his works:

⁶ Reward her even as she rewarded you, and double unto her double according to her works: in the cup which she has filled, fill to her double.

⁶ And there you shall bring your burnt offerings, and your sacrifices, and your tithes, and heave offerings of your hand, and your vowed offerings, and your freewill offerings, and the firstlings of your herds and of your flocks: ⁷ And there you shall eat before the LORD your God, and you shall rejoice in all that you put your hand unto, you and your households, in which the LORD your God has blessed you.

¹⁷ I will praise the LORD according to his righteousness: and will sing praise to the name of the LORD most high.

¹³ Be exalted, LORD, in your own strength: so will we sing and praise your power.

¹⁴ Offer unto God thanksgiving; and pay your vows unto the most High:

⁹ I will praise you forever, because you have done it: and I will wait on your name; for it is good before your saints.

¹³ I will go into your house with burnt offerings: I will pay you my vows, ¹⁴ Which my lips have uttered, and my mouth has spoken, when I was in trouble. ¹⁵ I will offer unto you burnt sacrifices of fatlings, with the incense of rams; I will offer bullocks with goats. Selah. ¹⁶ Come and hear, all you that fear God, and I will declare what he has done for my soul.

¹ [A Psalm or Song for the Sabbath day.] It is a good thing to give thanks unto the LORD, and to sing praises unto your name, O most High:

²² And let them sacrifice the sacrifices of thanksgiving, and declare his works with rejoicing.

¹⁷ I will offer to you the sacrifice of thanksgiving, and will call upon the name of the LORD.

¹³ Surely the righteous shall give thanks unto your name: the upright shall dwell in your presence.

¹ Praise you the LORD: for it is good to sing praises unto our God; for it is pleasant; and praise is fitting.

¹⁶ The Angel who redeemed me from all evil, bless the lads; and let my name be perpetuated in them, and the name of my fathers Abraham and Isaac; and let them grow into a multitude in the midst of the earth.

²⁴ And, behold, as your life was precious this day in my eyes, so let my life be precious in the eyes of the LORD, and let him deliver me out of all tribulation.

⁹ And David answered Rechab and Baanah his brother, the sons of Rimmon the Beerothite, and said unto them, As the LORD lives, who has redeemed my soul out of all adversity,

⁶ This poor man cried, and the LORD heard him, and saved him out of all his troubles.

¹⁹ Many are the afflictions of the righteous: but the LORD delivers him out of them all.

³⁴ Wait on the LORD, and keep his way, and he shall exalt you to inherit the land: when the wicked are cut off, you shall see it.

¹⁰ The righteous shall rejoice when he sees the vengeance: he shall wash his feet in the blood of the wicked. ¹¹ So that a man shall say, Verily there is a reward for the righteous: verily he is a God who judges in the earth.

¹⁰ The God of my mercy shall meet me: God shall let me see my desire upon my enemies.

⁸ Only with your eyes shall you behold and see the reward of the wicked.

¹¹ My eye also shall see my desire on my enemies, and my ears shall hear my desire of the wicked that rise up against me.

⁸ His heart is established, he shall not be afraid, until he sees his desire upon his enemies.

⁷ The LORD takes my part with them that help me: therefore shall I see my desire upon them that hate me.

¹⁸ And the Lord shall deliver me from every evil work, and will preserve me unto his heavenly kingdom: to whom be glory forever and ever. Amen.
