⁴ I sought the LORD, and he heard me, and delivered me from all my fears.

⁴ My heart is greatly pained within me: and the terrors of death are fallen upon me. ⁵ Fearfulness and trembling are come upon me, and horror has overwhelmed me.

⁸ For we would not, brethren, have you ignorant of our trouble which came to us in Asia, that we were pressed out of measure, above strength, so that we despaired even of life: ⁹ But we had the sentence of death in ourselves, that we should not trust in ourselves, but in God who raises the dead: ¹⁰ Who delivered us from so great a death, and does deliver: in whom we trust that he will yet deliver us;

⁵ For, when we were come into Macedonia, our body had no rest, but we were troubled on every side; without were fightings, within were fears. ⁶ Nevertheless God, who comforts those that are cast down, comforted us by the coming of Titus;
