¹⁷ And when I saw him, I fell at his feet as dead. And he laid his right hand upon me, saying unto me, Fear not; I am the first and the last:

¹ After these things the word of the LORD came unto Abram in a vision, saying, Fear not, Abram: I am your shield, and your exceeding great reward.

¹³ And Moses said unto the people, Fear not, stand still, and see the salvation of the LORD, which he will show to you today: for the Egyptians whom you have seen today, you shall see them again no more forever.

²⁰ And Moses said unto the people, Fear not: for God has come to prove you, and that his fear may be before your faces, that you sin not.

⁴ Who has performed and done it, calling the generations from the beginning? I the LORD, the first, and with the last; I am he.

¹⁰ Fear not; for I am with you: be not dismayed; for I am your God: I will strengthen you; yea, I will help you; yea, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness.

⁶ Thus says the LORD the King of Israel, and his redeemer the LORD of hosts; I am the first, and I am the last; and besides me there is no God.

¹² Hearken unto me, O Jacob and Israel, my called; I am he; I am the first, I also am the last.

²⁸ As the appearance of the bow that is in the cloud in the day of rain, so was the appearance of the brightness round about. This was the appearance of the likeness of the glory of the LORD. And when I saw it, I fell upon my face, and I heard a voice of one that spoke.

¹⁷ So he came near where I stood: and when he came, I was afraid, and fell upon my face: but he said unto me, Understand, O son of man: that for the time of the end shall be the vision. ¹⁸ Now as he was speaking with me, I was in a deep sleep with my face toward the ground: but he touched me, and set me upright.

⁸ Therefore I was left alone, and saw this great vision, and there remained no strength in me: for my vigor was turned in me into ruin, and I retained no strength. ⁹ Yet heard I the voice of his words: and when I heard the voice of his words, then was I in a deep sleep on my face, with my face toward the ground. ¹⁰ And, behold, a hand touched me, which made me tremble upon my knees and upon the palms of my hands.

¹² Then said he unto me, Fear not, Daniel: for from the first day that you did set your heart to understand, and to humble yourself before your God, your words were heard, and I have come because of your words.

¹⁵ And when he had spoken such words unto me, I set my face toward the ground, and I became dumb.

¹⁷ For how can the servant of this my lord talk with this my lord? for as for me, straightway there remained no strength in me, neither is there breath left in me. ¹⁸ Then there came again and touched me one having the appearance of a man, and he strengthened me, ¹⁹ And said, O man greatly beloved, fear not: peace be unto you, be strong, yea, be strong. And when he had spoken unto me, I was strengthened, and said, Let my lord speak; for you have strengthened me.

¹⁶ When I heard, my body trembled; my lips quivered at the voice: rottenness entered into my bones, and I trembled in myself, that I might rest in the day of trouble: when he comes up unto the people, he will invade them with his troops.

² And was transfigured before them: and his face did shine as the sun, and his clothing was white as the light. ³ And, behold, there appeared unto them Moses and Elijah talking with him. ⁴ Then answered Peter, and said unto Jesus, Lord, it is good for us to be here: if you will, let us make here three tabernacles; one for you, and one for Moses, and one for Elijah. ⁵ While he yet spoke, behold, a bright cloud overshadowed them: and behold a voice out of the cloud, which said, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased; hear you him. ⁶ And when the disciples heard it, they fell on their face, and were much afraid. ⁷ And Jesus came and touched them, and said, Arise, and be not afraid.

⁴ And for fear of him the guards did shake, and became as dead men.

⁵ And entering into the sepulcher, they saw a young man sitting on the right side, clothed in a long white garment; and they were amazed. ⁶ And he said unto them, Be not amazed: you seek Jesus of Nazareth, who was crucified: he is risen; he is not here: behold the place where they laid him.

³⁷ But they were terrified and frightened, and supposed that they had seen a spirit. ³⁸ And he said unto them, Why are you troubled? and why do thoughts arise in your hearts? ³⁹ Behold my hands and my feet, that it is I myself: handle me, and see; for a spirit has not flesh and bones, as you see me have.

²³ Now there was leaning on Jesus' bosom one of his disciples, whom Jesus loved.

²⁰ Then Peter, turning about, saw the disciple whom Jesus loved following; who also leaned on his breast at supper, and said, Lord, who is he that betrays you?

⁸ I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, says the Lord, who is, and who was, and who is to come, the Almighty.

¹¹ Saying, I am Alpha and Omega, the first and the last: and, What you see, write in a book, and send it unto the seven churches which are in Asia; unto Ephesus, and unto Smyrna, and unto Pergamum, and unto Thyatira, and unto Sardis, and unto Philadelphia, and unto Laodicea.

⁸ And unto the angel of the church in Smyrna write; These things says the first and the last, who was dead, and is alive;
