⁴⁷ Can any man forbid water, that these should not be baptized, which have received the Holy Ghost as well as we?

⁴ And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.

¹² But when they believed Philip preaching the things concerning the kingdom of God, and the name of Jesus Christ, they were baptized, both men and women.

³⁶ And as they went on their way, they came unto a certain water: and the eunuch said, See, here is water; what does hinder me to be baptized?

¹⁵ And as I began to speak, the Holy Ghost fell on them, as on us at the beginning. ¹⁶ Then remembered I the word of the Lord, that he said, John indeed baptized with water; but you shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost. ¹⁷ Since God gave them the like gift as he did unto us, who believed on the Lord Jesus Christ; what was I, that I could withstand God?

⁸ And God, which knows the hearts, bore them witness, giving them the Holy Ghost, just as he did unto us; ⁹ And put no difference between us and them, purifying their hearts by faith.

¹¹ And he received the sign of circumcision, a seal of the righteousness of the faith which he had yet being uncircumcised: that he might be the father of all them that believe, though they be not circumcised; that righteousness might be imputed unto them also:

¹² For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him.
