¹ Unto the angel of the church of Ephesus write; These things says he that holds the seven stars in his right hand, who walks in the midst of the seven golden candlesticks; ² I know your works, and your labor, and your patience, and how you cannot bear those who are evil: and you have tried those who say they are apostles, and are not, and have found them liars: ³ And have borne, and have patience, and for my name's sake have labored, and have not fainted. ⁴ Nevertheless I have somewhat against you, because you have left your first love. ⁵ Remember therefore from whence you are fallen, and repent, and do the first works; or else I will come unto you quickly, and will remove your candlestick out of his place, unless you repent. ⁶ But this you have, that you hate the deeds of the Nicolaitanes, which I also hate. ⁷ He that has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says unto the churches; To him that overcomes will I give to eat of the tree of life, which is in the midst of the paradise of God. ⁸ And unto the angel of the church in Smyrna write; These things says the first and the last, which was dead, and is alive; ⁹ I know your works, and tribulation, and poverty, (but you are rich) and I know the blasphemy of those who say they are Jews, and are not, but are the synagogue of Satan. ¹⁰ Fear none of those things which you shall suffer: behold, the devil shall cast some of you into prison, that you may be tried; and you shall have tribulation ten days: be you faithful unto death, and I will give you a crown of life. ¹¹ He that has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says unto the churches; He that overcomes shall not be hurt of the second death. ¹² And to the angel of the church in Pergamos write; These things says he which has the sharp sword with two edges; ¹³ I know your works, and where you dwell, even where Satan's seat is: and you hold fast my name, and have not denied my faith, even in those days in which Antipas was my faithful martyr, who was slain among you, where Satan dwells. ¹⁴ But I have a few things against you, because you have there them that hold the doctrine of Balaam, who taught Balac to cast a stumbling block before the children of Israel, to eat things sacrificed unto idols, and to commit fornication. ¹⁵ So have you also them that hold the doctrine of the Nicolaitanes, which thing I hate. ¹⁶ Repent; or else I will come unto you quickly, and will fight against them with the sword of my mouth. ¹⁷ He that has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says unto the churches; To him that overcomes will I give to eat of the hidden manna, and will give him a white stone, and in the stone a new name written, which no man knows saving he that receives it. ¹⁸ And unto the angel of the church in Youratira write; These things says the Son of God, who has his eyes like unto a flame of fire, and his feet are like fine brass; ¹⁹ I know your works, and love, and service, and faith, and your patience, and your works; and the last to be more than the first. ²⁰ Notwithstanding I have a few things against you, because you permitted that woman Jezebel, who calls herself a prophetess, to teach and to seduce my servants to commit fornication, and to eat things sacrificed unto idols. ²¹ And I gave her space to repent of her fornication; and she repented not. ²² Behold, I will cast her into a bed, and them that commit adultery with her into great tribulation, unless they repent of their deeds. ²³ And I will kill her children with death; and all the churches shall know that I am he which searches the reins and hearts: and I will give unto every one of you according to your works. ²⁴ But unto you I say, and unto the rest in Thyatira, as many as have not this doctrine, and which have not known the depths of Satan, as they speak; I will put upon you none other burden. ²⁵ But that which you have already hold fast till I come. ²⁶ And he that overcomes, and keeps my works unto the end, to him will I give power over the nations: ²⁷ And he shall rule them with a rod of iron; as the vessels of a potter shall they be broken to shivers: just as I received of my Father. ²⁸ And I will give him the morning star. ²⁹ He that has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says unto the churches.

²⁰ For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.

²⁰ Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen.

³⁵ He was a burning and a shining light: and you were willing for a season to rejoice in his light.

¹¹ Saying, I am Alpha and Omega, the first and the last: and, What you see, write in a book, and send it unto the seven churches which are in Asia; unto Ephesus, and unto Smyrna, and unto Pergamos, and unto Youratira, and unto Sardis, and unto Philadelphia, and unto Laodicea. ¹² And I turned to see the voice that spoke with me. And being turned, I saw seven golden candlesticks; ¹³ And in the midst of the seven candlesticks one like unto the Son of man, clothed with a garment down to the foot, and girded about the chest with a golden girdle.

¹⁶ And he had in his right hand seven stars: and out of his mouth went a sharp twoedged sword: and his countenance was as the sun shines in his strength.

²⁰ The mystery of the seven stars which you saw in my right hand, and the seven golden candlesticks. The seven stars are the angels of the seven churches: and the seven candlesticks which you saw are the seven churches.

⁸ And unto the angel of the church in Smyrna write; These things says the first and the last, which was dead, and is alive;

⁷ And to the angel of the church in Philadelphia write; These things says he that is holy, he that is true, he that has the key of David, he that opens, and no man shuts; and shuts, and no man opens;

¹⁴ And unto the angel of the church of the Laodiceans write; These things says the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the beginning of the creation of God;

¹⁰ And the third angel sounded, and there fell a great star from heaven, burning as it were a lamp, and it fell upon the third part of the rivers, and upon the fountains of waters; ¹¹ And the name of the star is called Wormwood: and the third part of the waters became wormwood; and many men died of the waters, because they were made bitter. ¹² And the fourth angel sounded, and the third part of the sun was smitten, and the third part of the moon, and the third part of the stars; so as the third part of them was darkened, and the day shone not for a third part of it, and the night likewise.

¹ And there appeared a great wonder in heaven; a woman clothed with the sun, and the moon under her feet, and upon her head a crown of twelve stars:

²³ And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, you that work iniquity.

¹³ For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ. ¹⁴ And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light. ¹⁵ Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works.

⁷ Which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ.

¹⁴ That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive;

³ Remembering without ceasing your work of faith, and labor of love, and patience of hope in our Lord Jesus Christ, in the sight of God and our Father;

²¹ Test all things; hold fast that which is good.

¹⁹ Nevertheless the foundation of God stands sure, having this seal, The Lord knows them that are his. And, Let every one that names the name of Christ depart from iniquity.

¹⁰ For God is not unrighteous to forget your work and labor of love, which you have showed toward his name, in that you have ministered to the saints, and do minister.

¹ But there were false prophets also among the people, just as there shall be false teachers among you, who secretly shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction. ² And many shall follow their pernicious ways; by reason of whom the way of truth shall be evil spoken of. ³ And through covetousness shall they with feigned words make merchandise of you: whose judgment now of a long time lingers not, and their damnation slumbers not.

²¹ I have not written unto you because you know not the truth, but because you know it, and that no lie is of the truth. ²² Who is a liar but he that denies that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist, that denies the Father and the Son.

¹ Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.

⁶ But this you have, that you hate the deeds of the Nicolaitanes, which I also hate.

⁹ I know your works, and tribulation, and poverty, (but you are rich) and I know the blasphemy of those who say they are Jews, and are not, but are the synagogue of Satan.

⁸ I know your works: behold, I have set before you an open door, and no man can shut it: for you have a little strength, and have kept my word, and have not denied my name.

¹⁵ I know your works, that you are neither cold nor hot: I would you wert cold or hot.

²¹ And they compel one Simon a Cyrenian, who passed by, coming out of the country, the father of Alexander and Rufus, to bear his cross.

¹⁵ But that on the good ground are they, which in a honest and good heart, having heard the word, keep it, and bring forth fruit with patience.

²⁷ And whosoever does not bear his cross, and come after me, cannot be my disciple.

¹ And he spoke a parable unto them to this end, that men ought always to pray, and not to faint;

¹⁹ In your patience possess you your souls.

²¹ But all these things will they do unto you for my name's sake, because they know not him that sent me.

⁷ To them who by patient continuance in well doing seek for glory and honor and immortality, eternal life:

³ And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation works patience; ⁴ And patience, experience; and experience, hope:

²⁵ But if we hope for that we see not, then do we with patience wait for it.

¹² Rejoicing in hope; patient in tribulation; continuing instant in prayer;

⁴ For whatsoever things were written earlier were written for our learning, that we through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have hope. ⁵ Now the God of patience and consolation grant you to be likeminded one toward another according to Christ Jesus:

¹² Salute Tryphena and Tryphosa, who labor in the Lord. Salute the beloved Persis, which labored much in the Lord.

⁷ Bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.

¹⁶ That you submit yourselves unto such, and to every one that helps with us, and labors.

¹ Therefore seeing we have this ministry, as we have received mercy, we faint not;

¹⁶ For which cause we faint not; but though our outward man perish, yet the inward man is renewed day by day.

⁹ Therefore we labor, that, whether present or absent, we may be accepted of him.

⁵ In stripes, in imprisonments, in tumults, in labors, in watchings, in fastings;

¹⁵ Not boasting of things without our measure, that is, of other men's labors; but having hope, when your faith is increased, that we shall be enlarged by you according to our rule abundantly,

²³ Are they ministers of Christ? (I speak as a fool) I am more; in labors more abundant, in stripes above measure, in prisons more frequent, in deaths often.

² Bear you one another's burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ.

⁹ And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we do not quit.

¹⁶ Holding forth the word of life; that I may rejoice in the day of Christ, that I have not run in vain, neither labored in vain.

³ And I entreat you also, true yokefellow, help those women which labored with me in the gospel, with Clement also, and with other my fellow laborers, whose names are in the book of life.

¹¹ Strengthened with all might, according to his glorious power, unto all patience and longsuffering with joyfulness;

⁹ For you remember, brothers, our labor and travail: for laboring night and day, because we would not be chargeable unto any of you, we preached unto you the gospel of God.

¹² And we beseech you, brothers, to know those who labor among you, and are over you in the Lord, and admonish you;

⁵ And the Lord direct your hearts into the love of God, and into the patient waiting for Christ.

⁸ Neither did we eat any man's bread for nothing; but wrought with labor and travail night and day, that we might not be chargeable to any of you:

¹³ But you, brothers, be not weary in well doing.

¹⁰ For therefore we both labor and suffer reproach, because we trust in the living God, who is the Saviour of all men, specially of those that believe.

¹⁷ Let the elders that rule well be counted worthy of double honor, especially they who labor in the word and doctrine.

¹² That you be not slothful, but followers of them who through faith and patience inherit the promises.

¹⁵ And so, after he had patiently endured, he obtained the promise.

³⁶ For you have need of patience, that, after you have done the will of God, you might receive the promise.

¹ Therefore seeing we also are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which does so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us,

³ For consider him that endured such contradiction of sinners against himself, lest you be wearied and faint in your minds. ⁴ You have not yet resisted unto blood, striving against sin. ⁵ And you have forgotten the exhortation which speaks unto you as unto children, My son, despise not you the chastening of the Lord, nor faint when you are rebuked of him:

¹³ Let us go forth therefore unto him outside the camp, bearing his reproach.

³ Knowing this, that the trying of your faith works patience. ⁴ But let patience have her perfect work, that you may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing.

⁷ Be patient therefore, brothers, unto the coming of the Lord. Behold, the husbandman waits for the precious fruit of the earth, and has long patience for it, until he receive the early and latter rain. ⁸ Be you also patient; establish your hearts: for the coming of the Lord draws close. ⁹ Grudge not one against another, brothers, lest you be condemned: behold, the judge stands before the door. ¹⁰ Take, my brothers, the prophets, who have spoken in the name of the Lord, for an example of suffering affliction, and of patience. ¹¹ Behold, we count them happy which endure. You have heard of the patience of Job, and have seen the end of the Lord; that the Lord is very pitiful, and of tender mercy.

⁶ And to knowledge temperance; and to temperance patience; and to patience godliness;

⁹ I John, who also am your brother, and companion in tribulation, and in the kingdom and patience of Jesus Christ, was in the isle that is called Patmos, for the word of God, and for the testimony of Jesus Christ.

¹⁰ Because you have kept the word of my patience, I also will keep you from the hour of temptation, which shall come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth.

¹² And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall grow cold. ¹³ But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.

⁹ And this I pray, that your love may abound yet more and more in knowledge and in all judgment;

¹³ Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before, ¹⁴ I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus. ¹⁵ Let us therefore, as many as be perfect, be thus minded: and if in any thing you be otherwise minded, God shall reveal even this unto you. ¹⁶ Nevertheless, whereto we have already attained, let us walk by the same rule, let us mind the same thing.

⁹ But as touching brotherly love you need not that I write unto you: for you yourselves are taught of God to love one another. ¹⁰ And indeed you do it toward all the brothers which are in all Macedonia: but we beseech you, brothers, that you increase more and more;

³ We are bound to thank God always for you, brothers, as it is suitable, because that your faith grows exceedingly, and the love of every one of you all toward each other abounds;

⁴¹ They say unto him, He will miserably destroy those wicked men, and will let out his vineyard unto other husbandmen, which shall render him the fruits in their seasons. ⁴² Jesus says unto them, Did you never read in the scriptures, The stone which the builders rejected, the same is become the head of the corner: this is the Lord's doing, and it is marvelous in our eyes?
⁴³ Therefore say I unto you, The kingdom of God shall be taken from you, and given to a nation bringing forth the fruits of it.

⁴⁸ But and if that evil servant shall say in his heart, My lord delays his coming; ⁴⁹ And shall begin to smite his fellow servants, and to eat and drink with the drunken; ⁵⁰ The lord of that servant shall come in a day when he looks not for him, and in an hour that he is not aware of, ⁵¹ And shall cut him asunder, and appoint him his portion with the hypocrites: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

⁹ What shall therefore the lord of the vineyard do? he will come and destroy the husbandmen, and will give the vineyard unto others.

¹⁷ And he shall go before him in the spirit and power of Elijah, to turn the hearts of the fathers to the children, and the disobedient to the wisdom of the just; to make ready a people prepared for the Lord.

⁴⁵ But and if that servant say in his heart, My lord delays his coming; and shall begin to beat the menservants and maidens, and to eat and drink, and to be drunken; ⁴⁶ The lord of that servant will come in a day when he looks not for him, and at an hour when he is not aware, and will cut him in sunder, and will appoint him his portion with the unbelievers.

¹⁶ He shall come and destroy these husbandmen, and shall give the vineyard to others. And when they heard it, they said, God forbid.

³⁰ And the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commands all men every where to repent: ³¹ Because he has appointed a day, in which he will judge the world in righteousness by that man whom he has ordained; whereof he has given assurance unto all men, in that he has raised him from the dead.

⁴ Christ is become of no effect unto you, whosoever of you are justified by the law; you are fallen from grace.

³² But call to remembrance the former days, in which, after you were illuminated, you endured a great fight of afflictions;

¹² Therefore I will not be negligent to put you always in remembrance of these things, though you know them, and be established in the present truth. ¹³ Yes, I think it suitable, as long as I am in this tabernacle, to stir you up by putting you in remembrance;

²⁴ Now unto him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy,

² Be watchful, and strengthen the things which remain, that are ready to die: for I have not found your works perfect before God. ³ Remember therefore how you have received and heard, and hold fast, and repent. If therefore you shall not watch, I will come on you as a thief, and you shall not know what hour I will come upon you.

¹⁹ As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent.

²⁰ And the rest of the men which were not killed by these plagues yet repented not of the works of their hands, that they should not worship devils, and idols of gold, and silver, and brass, and stone, and of wood: which neither can see, nor hear, nor walk: ²¹ Neither repented they of their murders, nor of their sorceries, nor of their fornication, nor of their thefts.

⁹ And men were scorched with great heat, and blasphemed the name of God, which has power over these plagues: and they repented not to give him glory.

⁹ Whosoever transgresses, and abides not in the doctrine of Christ, has not God. He that abides in the doctrine of Christ, he has both the Father and the Son. ¹⁰ If there come any unto you, and bring not this doctrine, receive him not into your house, neither bid him God speed:

¹⁵ He that has ears to hear, let him hear.

⁹ Who has ears to hear, let him hear.

⁴³ Then shall the righteous shine forth as the sun in the kingdom of their Father. Whoever has ears to hear, let him hear.

¹⁵ There is nothing from outside a man, that entering into him can defile him: but the things which come out of him, those are they that defile the man.

⁴³ And Jesus said unto him, Truthfully I say unto you, Today shall you be with me in paradise.

³³ These things I have spoken unto you, that in me you might have peace. In the world you shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.

¹⁰ But God has revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searches all things, yes, the deep things of God.

⁴ Now there are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit. ⁵ And there are differences of administrations, but the same Lord. ⁶ And there are diversities of operations, but it is the same God which works all in all. ⁷ But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to every man for the profit of all. ⁸ For to one is given by the Spirit the word of wisdom; to another the word of knowledge by the same Spirit; ⁹ To another faith by the same Spirit; to another the gifts of healing by the same Spirit; ¹⁰ To another the working of miracles; to another prophecy; to another discerning of spirits; to another different kinds of tongues; to another the interpretation of tongues: ¹¹ But all these works that one and the very same Spirit, dividing to every man severally as he will. ¹² For as the body is one, and has many members, and all the members of that one body, being many, are one body: so also is Christ.

⁴ That he was caught up into paradise, and heard unspeakable words, which it is not lawful for a man to utter.

⁴ For whatsoever is born of God overcomes the world: and this is the victory that overcomes the world, even our faith. ⁵ Who is he that overcomes the world, but he that believes that Jesus is the Son of God?

⁹ If any man have an ear, let him hear.

¹³ And I heard a voice from heaven saying unto me, Write, Blessed are the dead which die in the Lord from now on: yes, says the Spirit, that they may rest from their labors; and their works do follow them.

² And I saw as it were a sea of glass mingled with fire: and them that had gotten the victory over the beast, and over his image, and over his mark, and over the number of his name, stand on the sea of glass, having the harps of God.

⁷ He that overcomes shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son.

² In the midst of the street of it, and on either side of the river, was there the tree of life, which bore twelve manner of fruits, and yielded her fruit every month: and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations.

¹⁷ And when I saw him, I fell at his feet as dead. And he laid his right hand upon me, saying unto me, Fear not; I am the first and the last: ¹⁸ I am he that lives, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death.

¹ Unto the angel of the church of Ephesus write; These things says he that holds the seven stars in his right hand, who walks in the midst of the seven golden candlesticks;

¹⁰ Then says Jesus unto him, Get you hence, Satan: for it is written, You shall worship the Lord your God, and him only shall you serve.

¹⁸ The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he has anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he has sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised,

²⁰ And he lifted up his eyes on his disciples, and said, Blessed be you poor: for yours is the kingdom of God.

²¹ So is he that lays up treasure for himself, and is not rich toward God.

⁶⁵ And many other things blasphemously spoke they against him.

²² Confirming the souls of the disciples, and exhorting them to continue in the faith, and that we must through much tribulation enter into the kingdom of God.

¹¹ And I punished them often in every synagogue, and compelled them to blaspheme; and being exceedingly mad against them, I persecuted them even unto strange cities.

¹⁷ Behold, you are called a Jew, and rest in the law, and make your boast of God,

²⁸ For he is not a Jew, which is one outwardly; neither is that circumcision, which is outward in the flesh: ²⁹ But he is a Jew, which is one inwardly; and circumcision is that of the heart, in the spirit, and not in the letter; whose praise is not of men, but of God.

³ And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation works patience;

³⁵ Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?

⁶ Not as though the word of God has taken none effect. For they are not all Israel, which are of Israel:

¹⁰ As sorrowful, yet always rejoicing; as poor, yet making many rich; as having nothing, and yet possessing all things.

² That in a great trial of affliction the abundance of their joy and their deep poverty abounded unto the riches of their liberality.

⁹ For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that, though he was rich, yet for your sakes he became poor, that you through his poverty might be rich.

⁴ For truthfully, when we were with you, we told you before that we should suffer tribulation; just as it came to pass, and you know.

⁶ Seeing it is a righteous thing with God to recompense tribulation to them that trouble you; ⁷ And to you who are troubled rest with us, when the Lord Jesus shall be revealed from heaven with his mighty angels,

¹³ Who was before a blasphemer, and a persecutor, and injurious: but I obtained mercy, because I did it ignorantly in unbelief.

¹⁸ That they do good, that they be rich in good works, ready to distribute, willing to communicate;

⁵ Hearken, my beloved brothers, Has not God chosen the poor of this world rich in faith, and heirs of the kingdom which he has promised to them that love him? ⁶ But you have looked down upon the poor. Do not rich men oppres you, and draw you before the judgment seats?

⁹ Behold, I will make them of the synagogue of Satan, which say they are Jews, and are not, but do lie; behold, I will make them to come and worship before your feet, and to know that I have loved you.

¹⁷ Because you say, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing; and know not that you are wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked: ¹⁸ I counsel you to buy of me gold tried in the fire, that you may be rich; and white clothing, that you may be clothed, and that the shame of your nakedness do not appear; and anoint your eyes with eye salve, that you may see.

¹⁴ And I said unto him, Sir, you know. And he said to me, These are they which came out of great tribulation, and have washed their robes, and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.

²² And you shall be hated of all men for my name's sake: but he that endures to the end shall be saved.

²⁸ And fear not those who kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.

¹³ But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.

³⁵ For whosoever will save his life shall lose it; but whosoever shall lose his life for my sake and the gospel's, the same shall save it.

¹³ And you shall be hated of all men for my name's sake: but he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.

⁴ And I say unto you my friends, Be not afraid of them that kill the body, and after that have no more that they can do. ⁵ But I will forewarn you whom you shall fear: Fear him, which after he has killed has power to cast into hell; yes, I say unto you, Fear him. ⁶ Are not five sparrows sold for two copper coin, and not one of them is forgotten before God? ⁷ But even the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Fear not therefore: you are of more value than many sparrows.

¹² But before all these, they shall lay their hands on you, and persecute you, delivering you up to the synagogues, and into prisons, being brought before kings and rulers for my name's sake.

¹⁶ And you shall be betrayed both by parents, and brothers, and kinsfolk, and friends; and some of you shall they cause to be put to death. ¹⁷ And you shall be hated of all men for my name's sake. ¹⁸ But there shall not a hair of your head perish. ¹⁹ In your patience possess you your souls.

²⁵ He that loves his life shall lose it; and he that hates his life in this world shall keep it unto life eternal.

² And supper being ended, the devil having now put into the heart of Judas Iscariot, Simon's son, to betray him;

²⁷ And after the sop Satan entered into him. Then said Jesus unto him, That you are doing, do quickly.

²⁴ But none of these things move me, neither count I my life dear unto myself, so that I might finish my course with joy, and the ministry, which I have received of the Lord Jesus, to testify the gospel of the grace of God.

¹³ Then Paul answered, What mean you to weep and to break mine heart? for I am ready not to be bound only, but also to die at Jerusalem for the name of the Lord Jesus.

²⁵ And every man that strives for the mastery is temperate in all things. Now they do it to obtain a corruptible crown; but we an incorruptible.

² Wherein in time past you walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now works in the children of disobedience:

¹² For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

⁷ I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith: ⁸ Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing.

¹² Blessed is the man that endures temptation: for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord has promised to them that love him.

⁶ Wherein you greatly rejoice, though now for a season, if need be, you are in heaviness through manifold temptations: ⁷ That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perishes, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honor and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ:

⁴ And when the chief Shepherd shall appear, you shall receive a crown of glory that fades not away.

⁸ Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walks about, seeking whom he may devour:

¹⁰ Because you have kept the word of my patience, I also will keep you from the hour of temptation, which shall come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth. ¹¹ Behold, I come quickly: hold that fast which you have, that no man take your crown.

⁹ And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceives the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.

² And the beast which I saw was like unto a leopard, and his feet were as the feet of a bear, and his mouth as the mouth of a lion: and the dragon gave him his power, and his seat, and great authority.

⁷ And it was given unto him to make war with the saints, and to overcome them: and power was given him over all kindreds, and tongues, and nations.

¹⁵ And he had power to give life unto the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak, and cause that as many as would not worship the image of the beast should be killed. ¹⁶ And he causes all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads: ¹⁷ And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.

⁷ He that has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says unto the churches; To him that overcomes will I give to eat of the tree of life, which is in the midst of the paradise of God.

⁶ Blessed and holy is he that has part in the first resurrection: on such the second death has no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years.

¹⁴ And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.

⁸ But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burns with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.

¹² For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any two edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.

¹⁵ And out of his mouth goes a sharp sword, that with it he should smite the nations: and he shall rule them with a rod of iron: and he treads the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God.

²¹ And the remnant were slain with the sword of him that sat upon the horse, which sword proceeded out of his mouth: and all the fowls were filled with their flesh.

²³ But when they persecute you in this city, flee you into another: for truthfully I say unto you, You shall not have gone over the cities of Israel, till the Son of man be come.

⁹ Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you: and you shall be hated of all nations for my name's sake.

¹⁷ And you shall be hated of all men for my name's sake.

¹⁴ And here he has authority from the chief priests to bind all that call on your name.

²⁰ And when the blood of your martyr Stephen was shed, I also was standing by, and consenting unto his death, and kept the clothing of them that slew him.

⁸ But if any provide not for his own, and specially for those of his own house, he has denied the faith, and is worse than an infidel.

¹³ Hold fast the form of sound words, which you have heard of me, in faith and love which is in Christ Jesus.

¹² If we suffer, we shall also reign with him: if we deny him, he also will deny us:

⁶ But Christ as a son over his own house; whose house are we, if we hold fast the confidence and the rejoicing of the hope firm unto the end.

²³ Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised;)

⁷ Do not they blaspheme that worthy name by the which you are called?

³ Beloved, when I gave all diligence to write unto you of the common salvation, it was necessary for me to write unto you, and exhort you that you should earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints. ⁴ For there are certain men crept in unawares, who were before of old ordained to this condemnation, ungodly men, turning the grace of our God into lasciviousness, and denying the only Lord God, and our Lord Jesus Christ.

⁹ I know your works, and tribulation, and poverty, (but you are rich) and I know the blasphemy of those who say they are Jews, and are not, but are the synagogue of Satan. ¹⁰ Fear none of those things which you shall suffer: behold, the devil shall cast some of you into prison, that you may be tried; and you shall have tribulation ten days: be you faithful unto death, and I will give you a crown of life.

²⁴ But unto you I say, and unto the rest in Thyatira, as many as have not this doctrine, and which have not known the depths of Satan, as they speak; I will put upon you none other burden. ²⁵ But that which you have already hold fast till I come.

³ Remember therefore how you have received and heard, and hold fast, and repent. If therefore you shall not watch, I will come on you as a thief, and you shall not know what hour I will come upon you.

⁸ I know your works: behold, I have set before you an open door, and no man can shut it: for you have a little strength, and have kept my word, and have not denied my name. ⁹ Behold, I will make them of the synagogue of Satan, which say they are Jews, and are not, but do lie; behold, I will make them to come and worship before your feet, and to know that I have loved you.

¹¹ Behold, I come quickly: hold that fast which you have, that no man take your crown.

¹² Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus.

⁷ Woe unto the world because of offenses! for it must be that offenses come; but woe to that man by whom the offense comes!

²⁰ But that we write unto them, that they abstain from pollutions of idols, and from fornication, and from things strangled, and from blood. ²¹ For Moses of old time has in every city them that preach him, being read in the synagogues every sabbath day.

²⁹ That you abstain from foods offered to idols, and from blood, and from things strangled, and from fornication: from which if you keep yourselves, you shall do well. Fare you well.

²⁵ As touching the Gentiles which believe, we have written and concluded that they observe no such thing, save only that they keep themselves from things offered to idols, and from blood, and from strangled, and from fornication.

³² Why? Because they sought it not by faith, but as it were by the works of the law. For they stumbled at that stumblingstone;

⁹ And David says, Let their table be made a snare, and a trap, and a stumbling block, and a recompense unto them:

¹³ Let us not therefore judge one another any more: but judge this rather, that no man put a stumbling block or an occasion to fall in his brother's way.

²¹ It is good neither to eat flesh, nor to drink wine, nor any thing whereby your brother stumbles, or is offended, or is made weak.

²³ But we preach Christ crucified, unto the Jews a stumbling block, and unto the Greeks foolishness;

¹³ Foods for the belly, and the belly for foods: but God shall destroy both it and them. Now the body is not for fornication, but for the Lord; and the Lord for the body. ¹⁴ And God has both raised up the Lord, and will also raise up us by his own power. ¹⁵ Do you not know that your bodies are the members of Christ? shall I then take the members of Christ, and make them the members of an harlot? God forbid. ¹⁶ What? do you not know that he which is joined to a harlot is one body? for two, says he, shall be one flesh. ¹⁷ But he that is joined unto the Lord is one spirit. ¹⁸ Flee fornication. Every sin that a man does is outside the body; but he that commits fornication sins against his own body.

² Nevertheless, to avoid fornication, let every man have his own wife, and let every woman have her own husband.

⁴ As concerning therefore the eating of those things that are offered in sacrifice unto idols, we know that an idol is nothing in the world, and that there is none other God but one. ⁵ For though there be that are called gods, whether in heaven or in earth, (as there be gods many, and lords many,) ⁶ But to us there is but one God, the Father, of whom are all things, and we in him; and one Lord Jesus Christ, by whom are all things, and we by him. ⁷ Howbeit there is not in every man that knowledge: for some with conscience of the idol unto this hour eat it as a thing offered unto an idol; and their conscience being weak is defiled. ⁸ But food commends us not to God: for neither, if we eat, are we the better; neither, if we eat not, are we the worse. ⁹ But take heed lest by any means this liberty of your's become a stumbling block to them that are weak. ¹⁰ For if any man see you who have knowledge sit at food in the idol's temple, shall not the conscience of him which is weak be emboldened to eat those things which are offered to idols; ¹¹ And through your knowledge shall the weak brother perish, for whom Christ died? ¹² But when you sin so against the brothers, and wound their weak conscience, you sin against Christ. ¹³ Therefore, if food make my brother to offend, I will eat no flesh while the world stands, lest I make my brother to offend.

¹⁸ Behold Israel after the flesh: are not they which eat of the sacrifices partakers of the altar? ¹⁹ What say I then? that the idol is any thing, or that which is offered in sacrifice to idols is any thing? ²⁰ But I say, that the things which the Gentiles sacrifice, they sacrifice to devils, and not to God: and I would not that you should have fellowship with devils. ²¹ You cannot drink the cup of the Lord, and the cup of devils: you cannot be partakers of the Lord's table, and of the table of devils. ²² Do we provoke the Lord to jealousy? are we stronger than he? ²³ All things are lawful for me, but all things are not expedient: all things are lawful for me, but all things edify not. ²⁴ Let no man seek his own, but every man another's wealth. ²⁵ Whatsoever is sold in the shambles, that eat, asking no question for conscience sake: ²⁶ For the earth is the Lord's, and the fullness of it. ²⁷ If any of them that believe not invite you to a feast, and you be disposed to go; whatsoever is set before you, eat, asking no question for conscience sake. ²⁸ But if any man say unto you, This is offered in sacrifice unto idols, eat not for his sake that showed it, and for conscience sake: for the earth is the Lord's, and the fullness of it: ²⁹ Conscience, I say, not your own, but of the other: for why is my liberty judged of another man's conscience? ³⁰ For if I by grace be a partaker, why am I evil spoken of for that for which I give thanks? ³¹ Whether therefore you eat, or drink, or whatsoever you do, do all to the glory of God.

⁴ Marriage is honorable in all, and the bed undefiled: but whoremongers and adulterers God will judge.

⁸ And a stone of stumbling, and a rock of offenses, even to those who stumble at the word, being disobedient: whereunto also they were appointed.

¹⁵ Which have forsaken the right way, and are gone astray, following the way of Balaam the son of Bosor, who loved the wages of unrighteousness;

¹¹ Woe unto them! for they have gone on the way of Cain, and ran greedily after the error of Balaam for reward, and perished in the opposing of Core.

⁴ Nevertheless I have somewhat against you, because you have left your first love.

¹⁵ For outside are dogs, and sorcerers, and whoremongers, and murderers, and idolaters, and whosoever loves and makes a lie.

¹⁷ And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:

⁸ And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming:

⁵ Remember therefore from whence you are fallen, and repent, and do the first works; or else I will come unto you quickly, and will remove your candlestick out of his place, unless you repent.

⁷ Behold, I come quickly: blessed is he that keeps the sayings of the prophecy of this book.

¹¹ He answered and said unto them, Because it is given unto you to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it is not given.

³² But he said unto them, I have food to eat that you know not of.

⁴⁸ I am that bread of life. ⁴⁹ Your fathers did eat manna in the wilderness, and are dead. ⁵⁰ This is the bread which comes down from heaven, that a man may eat of it, and not die. ⁵¹ I am the living bread which came down from heaven: if any man eat of this bread, he shall live forever: and the bread that I will give is my flesh, which I will give for the life of the world. ⁵² The Jews therefore strove among themselves, saying, How can this man give us his flesh to eat? ⁵³ Then Jesus said unto them, Truthfully, truthfully, I say unto you, Unless you eat the flesh of the Son of man, and drink his blood, you have no life in you. ⁵⁴ Whoso eats my flesh, and drinks my blood, has eternal life; and I will raise him up at the last day. ⁵⁵ For my flesh is food indeed, and my blood is drink indeed. ⁵⁶ He that eats my flesh, and drinks my blood, dwells in me, and I in him. ⁵⁷ As the living Father has sent me, and I live by the Father: so he that eats me, even he shall live by me. ⁵⁸ This is that bread which came down from heaven: not as your fathers did eat manna, and are dead: he that eats of this bread shall live forever.

¹⁴ But the natural man receives not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.

³ For you are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God.

³ And they sung as it were a new song before the throne, and before the four beasts, and the elders: and no man could learn that song but the hundred and forty and four thousand, which were redeemed from the earth.

¹² His eyes were as a flame of fire, and on his head were many crowns; and he had a name written, that no man knew, but he himself. ¹³ And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is called The Word of God.

¹⁷ And lo a voice from heaven, saying, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.

³ And when the tempter came to him, he said, If you be the Son of God, command that these stones be made bread. ⁴ But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God.
⁵ Then the devil takes him up into the holy city, and sets him on a pinnacle of the temple, ⁶ And says unto him, If you be the Son of God, cast yourself down: for it is written, He shall give his angels charge concerning you: and in their hands they shall bear you up, lest at any time you dash your foot against a stone.

⁵ While he yet spoke, behold, a bright cloud overshadowed them: and behold a voice out of the cloud, which said, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased; hear you him.

⁵⁴ Now when the centurion, and they that were with him, watching Jesus, saw the earthquake, and those things that were done, they feared greatly, saying, Truly this was the Son of God.

³⁵ And the angel answered and said unto her, The Holy Ghost shall come upon you, and the power of the Highest shall overshadow you: therefore also that holy thing which shall be born of you shall be called the Son of God.

¹⁴ And the Word was made flesh, and dwelled among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.

⁴⁹ Nathanael answered and says unto him, Rabbi, you are the Son of God; you are the King of Israel.

¹⁶ For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

¹⁸ He that believes on him is not condemned: but he that believes not is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

³⁵ The Father loves the Son, and has given all things into his hand. ³⁶ He that believes on the Son has everlasting life: and he that believes not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abides on him.

²⁵ Truthfully, truthfully, I say unto you, The hour is coming, and now is, when the dead shall hear the voice of the Son of God: and they that hear shall live.

³⁶ Say you of him, whom the Father has sanctified, and sent into the world, You blaspheme; because I said, I am the Son of God?

³⁶ And as they went on their way, they came unto a certain water: and the eunuch said, See, here is water; what does hinder me to be baptized?

⁴ And declared to be the Son of God with power, according to the spirit of holiness, by the resurrection from the dead:

³² He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things?

¹⁴ His head and his hair was white like wool, as white as snow; and his eyes were as a flame of fire; ¹⁵ And his feet like unto fine brass, as if they burned in a furnace; and his voice as the sound of many waters.

² Every branch in me that bears not fruit he takes away: and every branch that bears fruit, he purges it, that it may bring forth more fruit.

¹ Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, and have not love, I am become as sounding brass, or a tinkling cymbal. ² And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries, and all knowledge; and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, and have not love, I am nothing. ³ And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, and have not love, it profits me nothing. ⁴ Love suffers long, and is kind; love envies not; love vaunts not itself, is not puffed up, ⁵ Does not behave itself unseemly, seeks not her own, is not easily provoked, thinks no evil; ⁶ Rejoices not in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth; ⁷ Bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. ⁸ Love never fails: but whether there be prophecies, they shall fail; whether there be tongues, they shall cease; whether there be knowledge, it shall vanish away.

¹⁴ And above all these things put on love, which is the bond of perfectness.

⁶ But now when Timotheus came from you unto us, and brought us good tidings of your faith and love, and that you have good remembrance of us always, desiring greatly to see us, as we also to see you:

⁵ Now the end of the commandment is love out of a pure heart, and of a good conscience, and of faith unfeigned:

⁸ And above all things have fervent love among yourselves: for love shall cover the multitude of sins.

⁷ And to godliness brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness love.

¹⁸ But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and forever. Amen.

² I know your works, and your labor, and your patience, and how you cannot bear those who are evil: and you have tried those who say they are apostles, and are not, and have found them liars: ³ And have borne, and have patience, and for my name's sake have labored, and have not fainted. ⁴ Nevertheless I have somewhat against you, because you have left your first love.

²² What if God, willing to show his wrath, and to make his power known, endured with much longsuffering the vessels of wrath fitted to destruction:

²⁰ Which sometime were disobedient, when once the longsuffering of God waited in the days of Noah, while the ark was a preparing, in which few, that is, eight souls were saved by water.

⁹ The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.

¹⁵ And account that the longsuffering of our Lord is salvation; even as our beloved brother Paul also according to the wisdom given unto him has written unto you;

¹¹ And blasphemed the God of heaven because of their pains and their sores, and repented not of their deeds.

³ I tell you, No: but, unless you repent, you shall all likewise perish.

²¹ And lest, when I come again, my God will humble me among you, and that I shall bewail many which have sinned already, and have not repented of the uncleanness and fornication and lasciviousness which they have committed.

²⁵ In meekness instructing those that oppose themselves; if God perhaps will give them repentance to the acknowledging of the truth; ²⁶ And that they may recover themselves out of the snare of the devil, who are taken captive by him at his will.

² With whom the kings of the earth have committed fornication, and the inhabitants of the earth have been made drunk with the wine of her fornication.

³ For all nations have drunk of the wine of the wrath of her fornication, and the kings of the earth have committed fornication with her, and the merchants of the earth are waxed rich through the abundance of her delicacies.

⁹ And the kings of the earth, who have committed fornication and lived deliciously with her, shall bewail her, and lament for her, when they shall see the smoke of her burning,

¹⁸ That you may eat the flesh of kings, and the flesh of captains, and the flesh of mighty men, and the flesh of horses, and of them that sit on them, and the flesh of all men, both free and bond, both small and great. ¹⁹ And I saw the beast, and the kings of the earth, and their armies, gathered together to make war against him that sat on the horse, and against his army. ²⁰ And the beast was taken, and with him the false prophet that wrought miracles before him, with which he deceived them that had received the mark of the beast, and them that worshipped his image. These both were cast alive into a lake of fire burning with brimstone. ²¹ And the remnant were slain with the sword of him that sat upon the horse, which sword proceeded out of his mouth: and all the fowls were filled with their flesh.

²⁷ For the Son of man shall come in the glory of his Father with his angels; and then he shall reward every man according to his works.

²⁴ But Jesus did not commit himself unto them, because he knew all men, ²⁵ And needed not that any should testify of man: for he knew what was in man.

¹⁷ He says unto him the third time, Simon, son of Jonas, love you me? Peter was grieved because he said unto him the third time, Do you love me? And he said unto him, Lord, you know all things; you know that I love you. Jesus says unto him, Feed my sheep.

²⁴ And they prayed, and said, You, Lord, which know the hearts of all men, show whether of these two you have chosen,

⁵ But after your hardness and impenitent heart treasure up unto yourself wrath against the day of wrath and revelation of the righteous judgment of God; ⁶ Who will render to every man according to his deeds: ⁷ To them who by patient continuance in well doing seek for glory and honor and immortality, eternal life: ⁸ But unto them that are contentious, and do not obey the truth, but obey unrighteousness, indignation and wrath, ⁹ Tribulation and anguish, upon every soul of man that does evil, of the Jew first, and also of the Gentile; ¹⁰ But glory, honor, and peace, to every man that works good, to the Jew first, and also to the Gentile: ¹¹ For there is no respect of persons with God.

²⁷ And he that searches the hearts knows what is the mind of the Spirit, because he makes intercession for the saints according to the will of God.

¹² So then every one of us shall give account of himself to God.

¹⁰ For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he has done, whether it be good or bad.

⁵ For every man shall bear his own burden.

¹³ Neither is there any creature that is not manifest in his sight: but all things are naked and opened unto the eyes of him with whom we have to do.

¹⁷ And if you call on the Father, who without respect of persons judges according to every man's work, pass the time of your sojourning here in fear:

⁸ And I looked, and behold a pale horse: and his name that sat on him was Death, and Hell followed with him. And power was given unto them over the fourth part of the earth, to kill with sword, and with hunger, and with death, and with the beasts of the earth.

¹² And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works.

²⁸ For it seemed good to the Holy Ghost, and to us, to lay upon you no greater burden than these necessary things;

¹¹ Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

³ But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his trickery, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ.

¹¹ Put on the whole armour of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. ¹² For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

⁹ Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders, ¹⁰ And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved. ¹¹ And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie: ¹² That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.

⁹ And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceives the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.

¹⁴ And deceives them that dwell on the earth by the means of those miracles which he had power to do in the sight of the beast; saying to them that dwell on the earth, that they should make an image to the beast, which had the wound by a sword, and did live.

³ And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there you may be also.

²² Jesus says unto him, If I will that he tarry till I come, what is that to you? follow you me. ²³ Then went this saying abroad among the brothers, that that disciple should not die: yet Jesus said not unto him, He shall not die; but, If I will that he tarry till I come, what is that to you?

²⁸ And there stood up one of them named Agabus, and signified by the Spirit that there should be great dearth throughout all the world: which came to pass in the days of Claudius Caesar.

⁹ Let love be without dissimulation. Abhor that which is evil; cleave to that which is good.

⁵ Therefore judge nothing before the time, until the Lord come, who both will bring to light the hidden things of darkness, and will make manifest the counsels of the hearts: and then shall every man have praise of God.

²⁶ For as often as you eat this bread, and drink this cup, you do show the Lord's death till he come.

¹⁴ Seeing then that we have a great high priest, that is passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our profession.

¹⁰ But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are in it shall be burned up.

⁷ Behold, he comes with clouds; and every eye shall see him, and they also which pierced him: and all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of him. Even so, Amen.

²⁰ He which testifies these things says, Surely I come quickly. Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus.

²⁸ And Jesus said unto them, Truthfully I say unto you, That you who have followed me, in the regeneration when the Son of man shall sit in the throne of his glory, you also shall sit upon twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel.

¹³ They on the rock are they, which, when they hear, receive the word with joy; and these have no root, which for a while believe, and in time of temptation fall away. ¹⁴ And that which fell among thorns are they, which, when they have heard, go forth, and are choked with cares and riches and pleasures of this life, and bring no fruit to perfection. ¹⁵ But that on the good ground are they, which in a honest and good heart, having heard the word, keep it, and bring forth fruit with patience.

²⁹ And I appoint unto you a kingdom, as my Father has appointed unto me; ³⁰ That you may eat and drink at my table in my kingdom, and sit on thrones judging the twelve tribes of Israel.

²⁹ Jesus answered and said unto them, This is the work of God, that you believe on him whom he has sent.

³¹ Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If you continue in my word, then are you my disciples indeed; ³² And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.

³⁷ No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.

³ Do you not know that we shall judge angels? how much more things that pertain to this life? ⁴ If then you have judgments of things pertaining to this life, set them to judge who are least esteemed in the church.

⁵ For this cause, when I could no longer hold back, I sent to know your faith, lest by some means the tempter have tempted you, and our labor be in vain.

³⁸ Now the just shall live by faith: but if any man draw back, my soul shall have no pleasure in him. ³⁹ But we are not of them who draw back unto perdition; but of them that believe to the saving of the soul.

²⁰ But will you know, O vain man, that faith without works is dead?

¹⁹ They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would no doubt have continued with us: but they went out, that they might be made manifest that they were not all of us.

²³ And this is his commandment, That we should believe on the name of his Son Jesus Christ, and love one another, as he gave us commandment.

⁵ Who is he that overcomes the world, but he that believes that Jesus is the Son of God?

⁵ He that overcomes, the same shall be clothed in white clothing; and I will not blot out his name out of the book of life, but I will confess his name before my Father, and before his angels.

¹² Him that overcomes will I make a pillar in the temple of my God, and he shall go no more out: and I will write upon him the name of my God, and the name of the city of my God, which is new Jerusalem, which comes down out of heaven from my God: and I will write upon him my new name.

²¹ To him that overcomes will I grant to sit with me in my throne, just as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne.

⁴ And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years.

⁵ And there shall be no night there; and they need no candle, neither light of the sun; for the Lord God gives them light: and they shall reign forever and ever.

²⁷ All things are delivered unto me of my Father: and no man knows the Son, but the Father; neither knows any man the Father, but the Son, and he to whomsoever the Son will reveal him.

²⁹ And I appoint unto you a kingdom, as my Father has appointed unto me;

²⁴ Father, I will that they also, whom you have given me, be with me where I am; that they may behold my glory, which you have given me: for you loved me before the foundation of the world.

⁵ And she brought forth a man child, who was to rule all nations with a rod of iron: and her child was caught up unto God, and to his throne.

⁷⁸ Through the tender mercy of our God; whereby the dayspring from on high has visited us, ⁷⁹ To give light to them that sit in darkness and in the shadow of death, to guide our feet into the way of peace.

¹⁹ We have also a more sure word of prophecy; whereunto you do well that you take heed, as unto a light that shines in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the day star arise in your hearts:

¹⁶ I Jesus have sent my angel to testify unto you these things in the churches. I am the root and the offspring of David, and the bright and morning star.
