²⁰ The LORD rewarded me according to my righteousness; according to the cleanness of my hands hath he recompensed me.

¹¹ Moreover, my father, see, yea, see the skirt of thy robe in my hand: for in that I cut off the skirt of thy robe, and killed thee not, know thou and see that there is neither evil nor transgression in mine hand, and I have not sinned against thee; yet thou huntest my soul to take it. ¹² The LORD judge between me and thee, and the LORD avenge me of thee: but mine hand shall not be upon thee. ¹³ As saith the proverb of the ancients, Wickedness proceedeth from the wicked: but mine hand shall not be upon thee.

¹⁷ And he said to David, Thou art more righteous than I: for thou hast rewarded me good, whereas I have rewarded thee evil.

¹⁹ For if a man find his enemy, will he let him go well away? wherefore the LORD reward thee good for that thou hast done unto me this day. ²⁰ And now, behold, I know well that thou shalt surely be king, and that the kingdom of Israel shall be established in thine hand.

³⁰ He shall deliver the island of the innocent: and it is delivered by the pureness of thine hands.

³ O LORD my God, If I have done this; if there be iniquity in my hands;

⁸ The LORD shall judge the people: judge me, O LORD, according to my righteousness, and according to mine integrity that is in me.

²⁴ Therefore hath the LORD recompensed me according to my righteousness, according to the cleanness of my hands in his eyesight.

⁴ He that hath clean hands, and a pure heart; who hath not lifted up his soul unto vanity, nor sworn deceitfully.

⁶ I will wash mine hands in innocency: so will I compass thine altar, O LORD:

¹¹ So that a man shall say, Verily there is a reward for the righteous: verily he is a God that judgeth in the earth.

¹⁸ The wicked worketh a deceitful work: but to him that soweth righteousness shall be a sure reward.

⁴ Then I said, I have laboured in vain, I have spent my strength for nought, and in vain: yet surely my judgment is with the LORD, and my work with my God.

¹¹ Behold, the LORD hath proclaimed unto the end of the world, Say ye to the daughter of Zion, Behold, thy salvation cometh; behold, his reward is with him, and his work before him.

⁴ That thine alms may be in secret: and thy Father which seeth in secret himself shall reward thee openly.

⁸ Now he that planteth and he that watereth are one: and every man shall receive his own reward according to his own labour.

²⁶ For such an high priest became us, who is holy, harmless, undefiled, separate from sinners, and made higher than the heavens;
