³³ After this event, Jeroboam did not turn from his evil way, but he returned and again made priests for the high places of people from _⌊all walks of life_⌋.* He filled his hand with all his desire and became one of the priests of the high places himself.

⁴¹ And you will clothe them—Aaron, your brother, and his sons with him—and you will anoint them and _⌊ordain them_⌋* and consecrate them, and they will serve as priests for me.

⁵¹ And when the tabernacle is set out, the Levites will _⌊take it down_⌋,* and when encamping the tabernacle the Levites will set it up; the stranger* that approaches it will be put to death.

¹⁰ But you will count Aaron and his descendants; they will keep their priesthood, and the stranger* who approaches will be put to death."

⁵ And it will happen, the man whom I will choose, his staff will blossom, and so I will rid from upon myself the grumblings of the _⌊Israelites_⌋,* who are grumbling against you."

¹² And the _⌊Israelites_⌋* said to Moses, saying, "Look! We will die! We will be destroyed! All of us will perish! ¹³ Anyone who approaches the tabernacle of Yahweh will die. _⌊Will we all die_⌋?"*

¹² So Micah _⌊appointed the Levite_⌋,* and the young man became a priest for him; and he was in the house of Micah.

³¹ Then he built the houses on the high places, and he appointed priests _⌊from all walks of life_⌋* who were not from the sons of Levi. ³² Jeroboam also inaugurated a religious feast in the eighth month on the fifteenth day of the month, like the religious feast which was in Judah, and he offered sacrifices on the altar. Thus he did in Bethel, by sacrificing to the calves that he had made; and he placed in Bethel the priests of the high places which he had made. ³³ He offered sacrifices on the altar which he had made in Bethel on the fifteenth day of the eighth month which his heart had devised. He inaugurated a religious feast for the _⌊Israelites_⌋,* and he went up to the altar to offer incense.

¹⁵ And he appointed his own priests for the high places and for the goat idols and for the bull calves that he had made.

⁹ Did you not drive out the priests of Yahweh, the sons of Aaron, the Levites? Have you not made for yourselves priests like all the peoples of the lands? All who come _⌊to be consecrated for priestly service_⌋* with a young bull or seven rams becomes a priest of what is not a god.

³⁴ When he killed some of them, then they sought him, and repented and earnestly sought God.

⁴ And the vessel that he was making with the clay was spoiled in the hand of the potter, so _⌊he made again_⌋* another vessel, as it was right in the eyes of the potter to make.

¹¹ Look, Yahweh is going to command and the great house will be destroyed to bits and the little house to pieces.

¹³ But evil people and imposters will progress to the worse, deceiving and being deceived.
