³⁵ And the _⌊Israelites_⌋* ate the manna forty years, until their coming to an inhabited land; they ate the manna until their coming to the border of the land of Canaan.

²³ And Yahweh said to Moses, "_⌊Is Yahweh's power limited_⌋?* Now you will see if my word will happen or not."

¹⁴ He said to them,
"From the eater came out food, From the strong came out sweet."
But they were unable to explain the riddle for three days.

¹⁸ And he was very thirsty, and he called to Yahweh and said, "You gave this great victory into the hand of your servant, but now I must die of thirst and fall into the hand of the uncircumcised?" ¹⁹ So God split the hollow place that is at Lehi, and water came out from it; and he drank, and his spirit returned, and he was revived. Thus he called its name _⌊The Spring of Ha-Qore_⌋,* which is at Lehi to this day.

⁹ Fear Yahweh, you his saints,* for there is no lack for those who fear him. ¹⁰ The young lions are in want and suffer hunger, but those who seek Yahweh will not lack for any good thing.

³ Trust Yahweh and do good. Abide in the land and feed on faithfulness.*

¹⁹ They will not be put to shame in distressing times,* and in the days of famine they will be satisfied.

¹⁵ He caused rocks to split in the wilderness and provided drink abundantly as from the depths. ¹⁶ And he brought streams out of the rock and caused water to flow down like rivers.

²³ Nevertheless, he commanded the skies above and opened the doors of heaven, ²⁴ and rained down on them manna to eat and gave them the grain of heaven.

¹⁶ That one will live on the heights; the fortresses of rocks will be his refuge. His food will be given; his waters* will endure.

²¹ So King Zedekiah commanded, and they handed Jeremiah over in the courtyard of the guard, and they gave to him a round loaf of bread from the street of the bakers _⌊every day_⌋* until the finishing of all the bread from the city. And Jeremiah stayed in the courtyard of the guard.

⁴ And so then look, I have released you _⌊today_⌋* from the chains that were on your hands.* If it is good in your eyes to come with me to Babylon, then come, and _⌊I will take care of you_⌋.* But if it is bad in your eyes to come with me to Babylon, then refrain. Look, the whole land is _⌊before you_⌋.* To wherever it is good and right in your eyes to go, then go there."

¹⁷ Though the fig tree does not blossom, nor there be fruit on the vines; the yield of the olive tree fails, and the cultivated fields do not yield food; the flock is cut off from the animal pen, and there is no cattle in the stalls, ¹⁸ Yet I will rejoice in Yahweh; I will exult in the God of my salvation.

³¹ Therefore do not be anxious, saying, 'What will we eat?' or 'What will we drink?' or 'What will we wear?,' ³² for the pagans seek after all these things. For your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. ³³ But seek first his kingdom and righteousness,* and all these things will be added to you.

¹⁹ And he commanded the crowds to recline for a meal on the grass. Taking the five loaves and the two fish and* looking up to heaven, he gave thanks. And after* breaking them,* he gave the loaves to the disciples, and the disciples gave them* to the crowds. ²⁰ And they all ate and were satisfied, and they picked up what was left over of the broken pieces, twelve baskets full. ²¹ Now those who ate were about five thousand men, in addition to women and children.

²⁶ But Jesus looked at them* and* said to them, "With human beings this is impossible, but with God all things are possible."

³⁵ And he said to them, "When I sent you out without a money bag and a traveler's bag and sandals, you did not lack anything, did you?"* And they said, "Nothing."

¹⁸ in order that through two unchangeable things, in which it is impossible for God to lie, we who have taken refuge may have powerful encouragement to hold fast to the hope set before us,

⁵ Your lifestyle must be free from the love of money, being content with what you have. For he himself has said, "I will never desert you, and I will never abandon you."* ⁶ So then, we can say with confidence,
"The Lord is my helper, I will not be afraid.* What will man do to me?"*
