⁶⁵ Solomon held the festival at that time and all of Israel with him, a great assembly from Lebo Hamath up to the wadi* of Egypt before Yahweh our God, for seven days and seven days, a total of fourteen days.

¹⁸ On that day Yahweh _⌊made_⌋* a covenant with Abram saying, "To your offspring I will give this land, from the river of Egypt to the great river, the Euphrates river,

³¹ " 'And I will set your boundary from the _⌊Red Sea_⌋* and up to the sea of the Philistines and from the desert up to the river,* because I will give the inhabitants of the land into your hand, and you will drive them out from before you.

³⁴ "Speak to the _⌊Israelites_⌋,* saying, 'On the fifteenth day of the seventh month, this shall be the Feast of Booths for seven days for Yahweh. ³⁵ On the first day there shall be a holy assembly; you must not do any _⌊regular work_⌋.* ³⁶ For seven days you must present an offering made by fire to Yahweh. On the eighth day it shall be a holy assembly for you, and you shall present an offering made by fire to Yahweh; it is a celebration; you must not do _⌊any regular work_⌋.* ³⁷ " 'These are Yahweh's festivals, which you must proclaim, holy assemblies to present an offering made by fire to Yahweh—burnt offering and grain offering, sacrifice and libations, _⌊each on its proper day_⌋*— ³⁸ _⌊besides_⌋* Yahweh's Sabbaths and _⌊besides_⌋* your gifts and _⌊besides_⌋* your vows and _⌊besides_⌋* all your freewill offerings that you give to Yahweh. ³⁹ " 'Surely on the fifteenth day of the seventh month, at your gathering the land's produce, you shall hold Yahweh's festival for seven days; on the first day there shall be a rest period and on the eighth day a rest period. ⁴⁰ And on the first day you shall take for yourselves the first fruit of majestic trees, branches of palm trees and branches* of a leafy tree and of a brook's poplar trees, and you shall rejoice _⌊before_⌋* Yahweh your God for seven days. ⁴¹ And you must hold it as a festival for Yahweh for seven days in the year; it shall be a _⌊lasting statute_⌋* throughout your generations; in the seventh month you must hold it. ⁴² You must live in the booths for seven days; all the natives in Israel must live in the booths, ⁴³ so that your generations shall know that I made the _⌊Israelites_⌋* live in booths when I brought them from the land of Egypt; I am Yahweh your God.'"

⁵ The boundary will turn from Azmon to the valley of Egypt, and its limits will be to the sea.

³ the five rulers of the Philistines, all the Canaanites,* the Sidonians,* and the Hivites* living on Mount Lebanon, from Mount Baal Hermon up to Lebo-Hamath.

²¹ * Now Solomon was ruling over all the kingdoms from the River* to the land of the Philistines, and up to the border of Egypt, who were bringing tribute and were serving Solomon all the days of his life.

²⁴ For he was ruling over all the west of the River* from Tiphsah up to Gaza, over all the kings west of the River;* and he had peace from every side all around.

² All the men of Israel assembled before King Solomon at the festival in the month of Ethnaim, that is, the seventh month.

²⁵ He restored the boundary of Israel from Lebo-Hamath up to the sea of the Arabah, according to the word of Yahweh which he spoke by the hand of his servant Jonah the son of Amittai the prophet, who was from Gath-Hepher.

⁸ And Solomon held* a feast at that time of seven days. And all Israel was with him, a very great assembly, from Lebo-Hamath to the river of Egypt. ⁹ And on the eighth day they made a solemn assembly, for they held* the dedication of the altar seven days and the feast seven days.

¹³ So many people gathered in Jerusalem to hold the Feast of Unleavened Bread in the second month; it was a very great assembly.

²³ Then the whole assembly decided to make seven more days of feasting, so they made seven more days with joy,

⁹ I have brought good tidings of righteousness in the great congregation. Look, I have not shut my lips. O Yahweh, _⌊you surely know that_⌋.* ¹⁰ Your righteousness I have not hidden in the midst of my heart. I have spoken of your faithfulness and your salvation. I have not concealed your loyal love or your faithfulness from the great congregation.

¹⁴ Indeed, I am going to raise up against you a nation, O house of Israel, _⌊declares_⌋* Yahweh, the God of hosts. And they shall oppress you from Lebo-hamath up to the wadi of the Arabah.
