Happy is he whose transgression is taken away, whose sin is covered.

¹³ You rise up and take pity on Zion, because it is time to favor it, for the appointed time has come. ¹⁴ Your servants take pleasure in her stones, and show favor to its dust. ¹⁵ Then the nations will fear the name of Yahweh, and all the kings of the earth your glory. ¹⁶ For Yahweh will rebuild Zion; he will appear in his glory. ¹⁷ He will turn his attention to the prayer of the destitute and will not despise their prayer. ¹⁸ Let this be written for the next generation, so that a people yet to be created may praise Yah,* ¹⁹ that he looked down from his holy height. Yahweh looked from heaven over the earth ²⁰ to hear the groaning of the prisoner, to liberate _⌊those destined to die_⌋,* ²¹ so that they* may make known in Zion the name of Yahweh, and his praise in Jerusalem, ²² when the peoples assemble, together with* kingdoms, to serve Yahweh. ²³ He has broken my strength along the way; he has cut short my days. ²⁴ I say, "My God, do not carry me off from my life in the middle of my days." Your years continue throughout all generations. ²⁵ Long ago you laid the foundation of the earth, and the heavens are the work of your hands. ²⁶ They will perish, but you will endure. And like a garment they will all wear out, you will replace them like clothing, and they will be set aside. ²⁷ But you are the same, and your years do not end. ²⁸ The children of your servants will continue, and their _⌊descendants_⌋* will be established before you.

¹¹ For look! The winter is over; _⌊the rainy season_⌋* _⌊has turned and gone away_⌋.* ¹² The blossoms _⌊appear_⌋* _⌊in the land_⌋;* _⌊the time of singing* has arrived_⌋;* the voice of the turtledove is heard in our land. ¹³ The fig tree puts forth her figs, and the vines are in blossom; they give fragrance. _⌊Arise_⌋,* my beloved! _⌊Come, my beauty_⌋!"*

¹ And you will say on that day, "I will give you thanks, Yahweh, for though you were angry with me, your anger turned away, and you comforted me.

²⁴ And no inhabitant will say, "I am sick"; the people who live in it, their iniquity will be taken away.

⁴ Say to those who are hasty of heart,
"Be strong; you must not fear! Look! your God will come with vengeance, with _⌊divine retribution_⌋.* He _⌊is the one who_⌋* will come and save you."

¹¹ Look! All those who are angry with you shall be ashamed and humiliated; _⌊your opponents_⌋* shall be like nothing and shall become lost. ¹² You shall seek them, but* you shall not find them; _⌊your opponents_⌋* shall be like nothing, and the men of your war like nothing. ¹³ For I, Yahweh your God, am grasping your right hand; _⌊it is I who say_⌋* to you, "You must not fear; I myself, I will help you.

²⁵ I, I am the one who blots out your transgressions for my sake, and I will not remember your sins.

²² I have wiped your transgressions out like a cloud and your sins like mist. Return to me, for I have redeemed you!"

²⁵ But thus says Yahweh:
"Indeed a captive of the mighty shall be taken, and the war-booty of the tyrant shall be rescued, for* I myself will dispute with your opponent, and I myself will save your children.

⁷ Instead of your shame, a double portion, and instead of insult, they will rejoice over their portion. Therefore they will take a double portion in their land; _⌊they shall possess everlasting joy_⌋.*

¹⁸ And _⌊I will first doubly repay_⌋* their iniquity and their sin because of their profaning my land with the dead bodies* of their abhorrences, and with their abominations they have filled up my inheritance.'"

¹⁸ Let my persecutors be put to shame, _⌊but as for me_⌋,* do not let me be put to shame. Let them be dismayed, _⌊but as for me_⌋,* do not let me be dismayed. Bring on them the day of disaster, and with double destruction, destroy them.

¹¹ For I know the plans that I am planning concerning you,' _⌊declares_⌋* Yahweh, 'plans for prosperity and not for harm, to give to you a future and a hope.

³³ "But this is the covenant that I will _⌊make_⌋* with the house of Israel after those days," _⌊declares_⌋* Yahweh: "I will put my law in their inward parts and on their hearts* I will write it, and I will be to them God, and they themselves will be to me people. ³⁴ And they will no longer teach each one his neighbor, or each one his brother, _⌊saying_⌋,* 'Know Yahweh,' for all of them will know me, from their _⌊smallest_⌋* and up to their _⌊greatest_⌋,"* _⌊declares_⌋* Yahweh, "for I will forgive their iniquity and their sin I will no longer remember."

⁸ And I will cleanse them from all their guilt that they sinned against me, and I will forgive all their iniquities that they sinned against me, and that they rebelled against me. ⁹ And it will be to me a name of jubilation, a praise, and a glory before all the nations of the earth, who will hear all the good that I will do for them, and they will fear,* and they will tremble because of all the good, and because of all the prosperity that I will provide for it.'

² in the first year of his kingship I, Daniel, observed in the scrolls the number of the years that it was that were to be fulfilled according to the word of Yahweh to Jeremiah the prophet for the devastation of Jerusalem—seventy years.

¹² And so he has carried out his words which he spoke against us and against our rulers who ruled us, to bring upon us a great calamity which was not done under all of heaven as it was done in Jerusalem.

²⁴ "Seventy weeks is decreed for your people and _⌊for your holy city_⌋,* to put an end to the transgression and to seal up sin* and to make atonement for guilt and to bring in everlasting righteousness and to seal vision and prophet and to anoint _⌊the most holy place_⌋.* ²⁵ And you must know and you must understand* that from the time of the going out of the word to restore and build Jerusalem until an anointed* one—a leader—will be _⌊seven weeks and sixty-two weeks_⌋;* it will be restored and will be built with streets and a moat, but _⌊in a time of oppression_⌋.* ²⁶ "And after the sixty and two weeks an anointed one* shall be cut off, and _⌊he shall have nothing_⌋,* and the people of the coming leader will destroy the city and the sanctuary,* and its end will be with the flood and on to the end there shall be war; these desolations are determined. ²⁷ And he will make a strong covenant with the many for one week, but in half of the week he will let cease sacrifice and offering _⌊and in its place_⌋* a desolating abomination comes even until _⌊the determined complete destruction_⌋* is poured out on the desolator."

³⁵ And even some of those _⌊who have insight_⌋* will fall* in order for them to be refined by it, and to be purified and cleansed until the time of the end, for the appointed time is still to come.

⁴ But you, Daniel, keep the words secret and seal the scroll* until the time of the end; many will run back and forth and knowledge will increase."

⁹ And he said, "Go, Daniel, for the words are secret and are sealed up until the time of the end.

¹⁴ Therefore, Look! I am going to allure her and bring her into the desert, and _⌊I will speak tenderly to her_⌋.*

³ For there is yet a vision for the appointed time; it will give witness to the end, and it will not lie. If it tarries, wait for it, for it will surely come and not delay.

¹⁵ And _⌊I am extremely angry_⌋* with the nations that are at ease, for while I was a little angry, they _⌊furthered disaster_⌋."*

¹² Return to the fortress, O prisoners of hope; today I am declaring that I will repay you double.

⁷ But he said to them, "It is not for you to know the times or seasons that the Father has set by his own authority.

⁹ Or do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived! Neither sexually immoral people, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor passive homosexual partners, nor dominant homosexual partners, ¹⁰ nor thieves, nor greedy persons, not drunkards, not abusive persons, not swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God. ¹¹ And some of you were these things, but you were washed, but you were sanctified, but you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus* and by the Spirit of our God.

⁴ But when the fullness of time came, God sent out his Son, born of a woman, born under the law,

¹⁰ and they cried out with a loud voice, saying, "_⌊How long_⌋*, holy and true Lord, will you not judge and avenge our blood from those who live on the earth?" ¹¹ And to each one of them a white robe was given, and it was said to them that they should rest yet a short time, until the number of their fellow slaves and their brothers who were about to be killed as they had been were completed also.

¹⁵ And the seventh angel blew the trumpet, and there was a loud voice in heaven saying,
"The kingdom of the world has become the kingdom of our Lord and of his Christ, and he will reign _⌊forever and ever_⌋*." ¹⁶ And the twenty-four elders who are seated on their thrones before God fell down on their faces and worshiped God, ¹⁷ saying,
"We give thanks to you, Lord God All-Powerful, the one who is and the one who was, because you have taken your great power and have begun to reign. ¹⁸ And the nations were angry, and your wrath has come, and the time for the dead to be judged, and to give their* reward to your slaves the prophets and to the saints and to the ones who fear your name, the small and the great, and to destroy those who destroy the earth."

⁶ Pay back to her as she herself also paid out, and _⌊pay back double_⌋* according to her deeds; in the cup that she mixed, mix double for her.
