¹⁹ And I will set a sign among them, and I will send survivors from them to the nations: Tarshish, Pul, and Lud, who draw the bow; Tubal and Javan, the faraway coastlands that have not heard of my fame, and have not seen my glory.
And they shall declare my glory among the nations,

² The sons of Japheth: Gomer, Magog, Madai, Javan, Tubal, Meshech, and Tiras.

⁴ And the sons of Javan: Elishah, Tarshish, Kittim, and Dodanim.

¹³ And Egypt fathered Ludim, Anamim, Lehabim, Naphtuhim,

⁷ The sons of Javan: Elishah, Tarshish, Kittim, and Rhodanim.

¹¹ And Mizraim fathered the Ludim, the Anamim, the Lehabim, the Naphtuhim,

²⁴ Proclaim his glory among the nations, his wondrous works among the peoples!

¹⁰ Let the kings of Tarshish and the islands bring tribute. Let the kings of Sheba and Seba present gifts,

¹⁶ and against all the ships of Tarshish, and against all the ships of desire.

¹⁰ And this shall happen on that day:
the nations shall inquire of the root of Jesse, which shall be standing as a signal to the peoples, and his resting place shall be glorious. ¹¹ And this shall happen on that day:
The Lord will again extend his hand a second time to acquire the remnant of his people that is left, from Assyria, Egypt, Pathros, Cush, Elam, Shinar, Hamath, and the coastlands of the sea,

³ All you inhabitants of the world and dwellers of the earth, _⌊when a signal is raised on the_⌋* mountains, you must look, and _⌊when a trumpet is blown_⌋,* you must listen!

⁷ At that time, a gift* will be brought to Yahweh of hosts
from a _⌊tall_⌋* and _⌊smooth_⌋* people, and from a people feared near and far, a mighty, mighty and trampling nation, whose land the rivers divide, to the place of the name of Yahweh of hosts, the mountain of Zion.

¹⁵ Therefore glorify Yahweh in the east, the name of Yahweh the God of Israel in the coastlands of the sea. ¹⁶ We hear songs from the _⌊edge_⌋* of the earth: "Glory to the righteous one!" But I say, "Ruin to me! Ruin to me! Woe to me! The treacherous ones deal treacherously, and the treacherous ones deal treacherously with treachery!"

²⁴ And those who err in spirit will _⌊acquire_⌋* understanding, and those who grumble will learn instruction.

⁴ He will not grow faint, and he will not be broken until he has established justice in the earth. And the coastlands wait for his teaching.

⁶ I will say to the north, 'Give!' and to the south, 'You must not withhold!' Bring my sons from far away, and my daughters from the end of the earth—

¹ Listen to me, coastlands, and listen attentively, peoples from far away! Yahweh called me from the womb; from the _⌊body_⌋* of my mother he made my name known.

¹² Look! These shall come from afar, And look! These from the north and from the west and these from the land of Sinim."

²² Thus says the Lord Yahweh:
"Look! I will lift my hand up to the nations, and I will raise my signal to the peoples, and they shall bring your sons in their bosom, and your daughters shall be carried on their shoulders.*

⁵ My righteousness is near; my salvation has gone out, and my arms will judge the peoples. The coastlands wait for me, and for my arm they wait.

¹⁵ so he shall sprinkle many nations; because of him, kings shall shut their mouths.* For they shall see what has not been told them, and they shall consider with full attention what they have not heard.

⁵ Look! You shall call a nation that you do not know, and a nation that does not know you shall run to you, because of Yahweh your God, and the holy one of Israel, for he has glorified you."

⁹ Because the coastlands wait for me, and the ships of Tarshish are first to bring your children from afar, their silver and gold with them, for the name of Yahweh your God, and for the holy one of Israel, because he has glorified you.

¹⁰ Pass through, pass through the gates! Make the way clear _⌊for_⌋* the people! Pile up, pile up the highway; clear it of stones!* Lift up an ensign over the peoples!

¹ "I let myself be sought by those who did not ask; I let myself be found by those who did not seek me. I said, 'Here I am; here I am!' to a nation that did not call on my name;

¹⁰ Persia and Lud and Put were _⌊among your soldiers_⌋;* small shield and helmet hung _⌊among you_⌋* and gave to you your adornment.

¹³ Javan, Tubal, and Meshech were your traders; _⌊in exchange for people_⌋* and an object of bronze they gave you your wares.

⁵ Cush and Put and Lud and all of Arabia and Kub and the people* of the land of the treaty* with them—by the sword they will fall."

² "Son of man,* set your face toward Gog of the land of Magog, the head* leader of Meshech and Tubal, and prophesy against him. ³ And you must say, 'Thus says the Lord Yahweh: "Look! I am against you, Gog, the head* leader of Meshach and Tubal,

¹ "And you, son of man,* prophesy against Gog, and you must say, 'Thus says the Lord Yahweh: "Look! I am against you Gog, the head* leader of Meshech and Tubal,

¹¹ Yahweh will be awesome against them, for he will destroy all the gods of the earth and all the lands* of the nations; each in its place will bow down to him.

¹¹ From the rising of the sun to its setting, my name is great among the nations, and in every place incense is being presented to my name, and a pure offering. For my name is great among the nations," says Yahweh of hosts.

¹¹ Therefore if you, although you* are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask him? ¹² Therefore in all things, whatever you want that people should do to you, thus also you do to them. For this is the law and the prophets.

¹⁹ Therefore, go* and* make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,

¹⁵ And he said to them, "Go* into all the world and* preach the gospel to all creation.

³⁴ And Simeon blessed them and said to his mother Mary, "Behold, this child is appointed for the fall and rise of many in Israel, and for a sign that is opposed*—

¹ Therefore I say, God has not rejected his people, has he?* May it never be! For I also am an Israelite, from the descendants of Abraham, of the tribe of Benjamin. ² God has not rejected his people, whom he foreknew! Or do you not know, in the passage about* Elijah, what the scripture says—how he appeals to God against Israel? ³ "Lord, they have killed your prophets, they have torn down your altars, and I alone am left, and they are seeking my life!"* ⁴ But what does the divine response say to him? "I have left for myself seven thousand people* who have not bent the knee to Baal."* ⁵ So in this way also at the present time, there is a remnant _⌊selected by grace_⌋*. ⁶ But if by grace, it is no longer by works, for otherwise grace would no longer be grace.

"Those to whom it was not announced concerning him will see, and those who have not heard will understand."*

⁸ To me, the least of all the saints, was given this grace: to proclaim the good news of the fathomless riches of Christ to the Gentiles,
