²⁴ Then Jeremiah said to all the people and to all the women, "Hear the word of Yahweh, all Judah who are in the land of Egypt.

¹⁹ And he* said, "Therefore, hear the word of Yahweh. I saw Yahweh sitting on his throne with all the hosts of heaven standing beside him from his right hand and from his left hand.

¹⁰ Hear the word of Yahweh, rulers of Sodom! Listen to the teaching of our God, people of Gomorrah!

¹⁴ Therefore hear the word of Yahweh, men of mockery, rulers of these people in Jerusalem:

¹⁵ then _⌊therefore_⌋* hear the word of Yahweh, O remnant of Judah. Thus says Yahweh of hosts, the God of Israel: "_⌊If you are determined_⌋* to go to Egypt, and you go to dwell as aliens there,

⁷ and they came into the land of Egypt, for they did not listen to the voice of Yahweh. And they came up to Tahpanhes.

¹⁵ Then all the men who knew that their wives were making smoke offerings to other gods, and all the women who stood by, a great assembly, and all the people who lived in the land of Egypt in Pathros, answered Jeremiah, _⌊saying_⌋,* ¹⁶ "Concerning the word that you have spoken to us in the name of Yahweh, we are not going to listen to you!

²⁶ _⌊Therefore_⌋* hear the word of Yahweh, all Judah, those who live in the land of Egypt: 'Look, I hereby swear by my great name,' says Yahweh, 'surely my name will no longer be called in the mouth of any man of Judah, saying, "_⌊as the Lord Yahweh lives_⌋,"* in all the land of Egypt.

⁷ And you must speak my words to them whether they listen or whether they fail to listen, for they are rebellious.

³² And _⌊what you are planning_⌋,* surely it will not be—that you are saying, 'Let us be like the nations, like the clans* of the lands, _⌊serving wood and stone_⌋!'* ³³ "_⌊As I live_⌋,"* _⌊declares_⌋* the Lord Yahweh, "_⌊surely_⌋* with a strong hand and with an outstretched arm and with _⌊rage pouring forth_⌋* I will reign as king over you!

¹⁶ And so then, hear the word of Yahweh! You are saying, 'You must not prophesy against Israel and you must not preach against the house of Isaac!'
