⁴ And when he* heard it,* Jesus said, "This sickness is not to death, but for the glory of God, in order that the Son of God may be glorified through it."

³⁹ And when he* entered, he said to them, "Why are you agitated and weeping? The child is not dead, but is sleeping." ⁴⁰ And they began laughing* at him. But he sent them all out and* took along the father and mother of the child, and those who were with him, and went in to where the child was. ⁴¹ And taking hold of the child's hand, he said to her, "Talitha koum!" (which is translated, "Little girl, I say to you, get up!"), ⁴² and immediately the girl stood up and began walking around* (for she was twelve years old). And _⌊immediately they were utterly and completely astonished_⌋.*

¹¹ This beginning of signs Jesus performed at Cana in Galilee, and revealed his glory, and his disciples believed in him.

²³ in order that all people* will honor the Son, just as they honor the Father. The one who does not honor the Son does not honor the Father who sent him.

⁵⁴ Jesus replied, "If I glorify myself, my glory is nothing. The one who glorifies me is my Father, about whom you say, 'He is our God.'

³ Jesus replied, "Neither this man sinned nor his parents, but it happened* so that the works of God could be revealed in him.

²⁴ So they summoned the man who had been blind for the second time and said to him, "Give glory to God! We know that this man is a sinner!"

⁴⁰ Jesus said to her, "Did I not say to you that if you believed, you would see the glory of God?"

²⁸ Father, glorify your name!" Then a voice came from heaven, "I have both glorified it,* and I will glorify it* again."

³¹ Then, when he had gone out, Jesus said, "Now the Son of Man is glorified, and God is glorified in him. ³² If God is glorified in him, God will also glorify him in himself, and will glorify him immediately.

¹ Jesus said these things, and lifting up his eyes to heaven he said, "Father, the hour has come! Glorify your Son, in order that your Son may glorify you—

⁵ And now, Father, you glorify me _⌊at your side_⌋* with the glory that I had _⌊at your side_⌋* before the world existed.

¹⁰ and all my things are yours, and your things are mine, and I have been glorified in* them.

¹¹ I say then, they did not stumble so that they fell, did they?* May it never be! But by their trespass, salvation has come to the Gentiles, in order to provoke them to jealousy.*

¹¹ having been filled with the fruit of righteousness which comes through Jesus Christ to the glory and praise of God.

²⁰ according to my eager expectation and hope, that I will be put to shame in nothing, but with all boldness, even now as always Christ will be exalted in my body, whether through life or through death. ²¹ who through him are believing in God, who raised him from the dead and gave him glory, so that your faith and hope are in God.

¹¹ If anyone speaks, let it be as the oracles of God; if anyone serves, let it be as by the strength that God provides, so that in all things God will be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom is the glory and the power _⌊forever and ever_⌋*. Amen.

¹⁴ If you are reviled on account of the name of Christ, you are blessed, because the Spirit of glory and of God rests on you.
