¹² And I spoke words like these to Zedekiah, the king of Judah, _⌊saying_⌋,* "Bring your necks under the yoke of the king of Babylon, and serve him and his people, and live.

⁸ And it will happen on that day,' _⌊declares_⌋* Yahweh of hosts, 'I will break his yoke from your neck and your bonds I will tear to pieces. And strangers will no longer let him work as a slave. ⁹ But they will serve Yahweh their God, and David their king, whom I will raise up for them.

²⁹ Take my yoke on you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.
