⁴ There is a river whose streams gladden the city of God, the holiest of the dwellings of the Most High.

¹¹ _⌊and then_⌋* at the place that Yahweh your God will choose, to let his name dwell there, there you shall bring all the things I am commanding you, your burnt offerings and your sacrifices, your tithes and _⌊your donations_⌋,* and all of the choice things, your votive gifts that you vow to Yahweh. ¹² And you shall rejoice _⌊before_⌋* Yahweh your God, you and your sons and your daughters and your slaves and your slave women and the Levite who is in your _⌊towns_⌋,* because there is not for him a plot of ground and an inheritance with you.

⁶ But I have chosen my name to be there in Jerusalem, and I have chosen David to be over my people Israel.'

² In grassy pastures he makes me lie down; by quiet waters he leads me.

⁸ They are refreshed with the _⌊fullness_⌋* of your house,* and you give them drink from the river of your delights. ⁹ For with you is the fountain of life; in your light we see light.

³ Send your light and your truth; they shall lead* me. They shall bring me to _⌊your holy mountain_⌋* and to your dwelling places.

Yahweh is great and very worthy of praise in the city of our God, in his _⌊holy mountain_⌋.*

⁸ As we have heard, so we have seen in the city of Yahweh of hosts, in the city of our God. God will establish her forever. Selah

⁹ You care for* the land* and water it; you greatly enrich it. The stream of God is filled with waters. You provide their grain, for so you have established it.

³ Glorious things are spoken about* you, O city of God. Selah

¹ One who lives in the secret place* of the Most High will lodge in the shadow of Shaddai.*

¹ A psalm. A song. For the Sabbath day.*
It is good to give thanks to Yahweh, and to sing praise concerning your name, O Most High;

⁸ But you are on high forever, O Yahweh.

⁸ Do not be surprised if you see the poor being oppressed with violence or do not see justice and righteousness in the province. For one official is watched by a higher official, and there are even higher officials over them!

⁶ "Because this people has refused the gently flowing waters of Shiloah and rejoices over Rezin and the son of Remaliah, ⁷ therefore look! The Lord is bringing up the waters of the great and mighty river against them, the king of Assyria and all his glory.
And he will rise above all his channels, and he will flow over all his banks.

³⁵ 'And I will defend this city, to save it for my sake and for the sake of David, my servant.'" ³⁶ And the angel of Yahweh set out and struck one hundred and eighty-five thousand in the camp of the Assyrians. When* they rose in the morning, look! All of them were dead corpses.

¹⁸ O that you had listened attentively to my commandments!
Then* your prosperity would have been like a river, and your righteousness like the waves of the sea.

¹⁴ And the children of those who oppressed you shall come to you bending low, and all those who treated you disrespectfully shall bow down at the soles of your feet. And they shall call you the city of Yahweh, Zion of the holy one of Israel.

¹ And he brought me back to the doorway of the temple and, look! There was water coming out from under the threshold of the temple eastward, because the face of the temple was eastwards; and the water was coming down from under the south side of the temple, from south of the altar. ² And he brought me out by the way of the north gate and he led me around by the _⌊way leading to the outside of the outer gate_⌋* by way of the gate facing east, and look, there was water trickling from the south side. ³ As the man went eastward a measuring line was in his hand, and he measured a thousand _⌊cubits_⌋.* And he led me through on into the water; it was _⌊ankle deep_⌋.* ⁴ And he measured a thousand cubits,* and he brought me over into the waters and it was _⌊knee deep_⌋.* And he measured a thousand cubits,* and he brought me over into the waters and it was _⌊waist deep_⌋.* ⁵ And he measured a thousand cubits,* and it became a stream that I was not able to cross, because the water rose, _⌊waters a person could swim in_⌋,* and became a stream that could not be crossed. ⁶ And he asked me, "Son of man,* did you see this?" On the bank of the river were many trees _⌊on both sides_⌋.* ⁸ And he said to me, "These waters are going out to the eastern region, and they go down to the _⌊Jordan Valley_⌋,* and they come to the sea* and flow into the sea where _⌊they issue out_⌋,* and the waters in the sea will be healed.* ⁹ And then every living creature with which it teems,* _⌊to every place the waters come_⌋* it will live; and very many fish will live because these waters came there, and so the water will be healed* and everything will be alive _⌊everywhere that_⌋* _⌊the stream will come_⌋.* ¹⁰ And then fishers* from En Gedi and on up to En Eglaim will stand beside it, a sea-girt drying yard for nets; their fish for the dragnets will be _⌊of every kind_⌋,* like the fish of the great sea,* and very many. ¹¹ But its marshes and its swamps will not be cured, for they were given for salt. ¹² And along the stream will go up on its banks _⌊from both sides_⌋* every tree _⌊producing food_⌋;* its leaf will not wither and it will not cease producing its fruit. _⌊Every month_⌋* it will bear early fruit, for its waters are going out from the sanctuary, and its fruit will be as food, and its leaf for healing."

⁶ With what shall I approach Yahweh, and bow down to God on high? Shall I approach him with burnt offerings, with bull calves a year old?

²² But you have come to Mount Zion, and to the city of the living God, to the heavenly Jerusalem, and to tens of thousands of angels, to the festal gathering

² And I saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared like a bride adorned for her husband. ³ And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying,
"Behold, the dwelling of God is with humanity, and he will take up residence with them, and they will be his people and God himself will be with them.*

¹⁰ And he carried me away in the Spirit to a great and lofty mountain, and showed me the holy city, Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God,

¹ And he showed me the river of the water of life, clear as crystal, coming out from the throne of God and of the Lamb ² in the middle of its street, and _⌊on both sides of the river_⌋* is the tree of life, producing twelve fruits—yielding its fruit according to every month—and the leaves of the tree are for the healing of the nations. ³ And there will not be any curse any longer, and the throne of God and of the Lamb will be in it, and his slaves will serve* him,
