² Listen to the sound of my pleading,* my king and my God, for to you I pray.

⁴ With my voice I call to Yahweh and he answers me from _⌊his holy hill_⌋.* Selah

¹⁶ Yahweh is king forever and ever; the nations have perished from his land.

⁷ Lift up your heads, O gates, and rise up, O ancient doorways, that the king of glory* may enter. ⁸ Who is the king of glory?* Yahweh, strong and mighty; Yahweh, mighty in war!

⁴ You are my king, O God. Command* victories for Jacob.

⁶ Sing praises to God, sing praises. Sing praises to our king, sing praises. ⁷ For God is king of all the earth. Sing praises with understanding.*

² O you who hear prayer, to you all flesh will come.

¹² But God has been my king from long ago, working salvation in the midst of the earth.

³ Even a bird finds a home, and a swallow a nest for herself, where she may lay her young, near your altars, O Yahweh of hosts, my king and my God.

¹ Yahweh is king; let the peoples tremble. He sits enthroned* between the cherubim. Let the earth shake. ² Yahweh is great in Zion, and he is exalted over all the peoples. ³ Let them praise your great and fearful name. He is holy. ⁴ And the strength of the king loves justice.* You have established equity; you have executed justice and righteousness in Jacob.
