⁶ But the righteousness from faith speaks like this: "Do not say in your heart,* 'Who will ascend into heaven?'"* (that is, to bring Christ down),

¹¹ "For this commandment that I am commanding you _⌊today_⌋* is _⌊not too wonderful for you_⌋,* and it is not too far from you. ¹² It is not in the heavens _⌊so that you might say_⌋,* 'Who will go up for us to the heavens and get it for us and cause us to hear it, so that we may do it?' ¹³ And it is _⌊not beyond the sea_⌋,* _⌊so that you might say_⌋,* 'Who will cross for us to the other side of the sea and take it for us and cause us to hear it, so that we may do it?' ¹⁴ But the word is very near you, even in your mouth and in your heart, _⌊so that you may do it_⌋.*

⁴ Who has ascended to heaven and come down? Who has gathered the wind in the hollow of his hand? Who has wrapped water in a* garment? Who has established all the ends of the earth? What is his name and what is the name of his child? For surely you know.

¹² If I tell you earthly things and you do not believe, how will you believe if I tell you heavenly things? ¹³ And no one has ascended into heaven except the one who descended from heaven—the Son of Man.

³³ For the bread of God is the one who comes down from heaven and gives life to the world."

³⁸ because I have come down from heaven not that I should do my will, but the will of the one who sent me.

⁵⁰ This is the bread that comes down from heaven so that someone may eat from it and not die. ⁵¹ I am the living bread that came down from heaven. If anyone eats from this bread, he will live _⌊forever_⌋.* And the bread that I will give for the life of the world is my flesh."

⁵⁸ This is the bread that came down from heaven, not as the fathers ate and died. The one who eats* this bread will live _⌊forever_⌋."*

²² that is, the righteousness of God through faith in Jesus Christ* to all who believe. For there is no distinction,

²⁵ whom God made publicly available as the mercy seat* through faith in his blood, for a demonstration of his righteousness, because of the passing over of previously committed sins,

¹³ For the promise to Abraham or to his descendants, that he would be heir of the world, was not through the law, but through the righteousness by faith.

³⁰ What then shall we say? That the Gentiles, who did not pursue righteousness, attained righteousness—even the righteousness that is by faith. ³¹ But Israel, pursuing the law of righteousness, did not attain to the law.

⁸ Therefore it says,
"Ascending on high he led captivity captive; he gave gifts to men."* ⁹ Now "he ascended," what is it, except that he also descended* to the lower regions of the earth? ¹⁰ The one who descended himself is also the one who ascended above all the heavens, in order that he might fill all things.

⁹ and may be found in him, not having my righteousness which is from the law, but which is through faith in Christ,* the righteousness from God on the basis of faith,*

³ who is the radiance of his glory and the representation of his essence, sustaining all things by the word of power.* When he* had made purification for sins through him, he sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high,

⁷ By faith Noah, having been warned about things not yet seen, out of reverence constructed an ark for the deliverance of his family, by which he pronounced sentence on the world and became an heir of the righteousness that comes by faith.
