⁶ And, brothers, I transferred these things to myself and Apollos because of you, that in us you may learn not to think above what has been written, that you not be puffed up one over the other.

²⁸ And Joshua the son of Nun, minister to Moses, of his young men, answered and said, My lord Moses, stop them. ²⁹ And Moses said to him, Are you jealous for my sake? Oh that all Jehovah's people were prophets, that Jehovah would put His spirit on them!

¹¹ For He knows the vanity of men; and He sees deceit, and will He not consider? ¹² For foolish man takes heart, and man is born a wild ass's colt.

⁴ what is man that You are mindful of him, and the son of man, that You visit him?

³ Put not your trust in princes, in a son of man, for there is no salvation in him.

²² Cease yourself from man, whose breath is in his nostril, for in what is he to be esteemed?

⁵ So says Jehovah, Cursed is the man who trusts in man, and who makes flesh his arm, and who turns aside his heart from Jehovah. ⁶ For he shall be like a juniper in the desert, and shall not see when good comes. But he shall live in parched places in the wilderness, in a salt land that is not inhabited.

⁸ But do not you be called Rabbi, for One is your Leader, the Christ, and you are all brothers. ⁹ And call no one your father on earth, for One is your Father, the One in Heaven. ¹⁰ Nor be called leaders, for One is your Leader, the Christ.

²⁶ And they came to John and said to him, Teacher, the one who was with you beyond the Jordan, to whom you have witnessed, behold, this one baptizes, and all are coming to Him. ²⁷ John answered and said, A man is able to receive nothing unless it has been given to him from Heaven.

³ For through the grace which is given to me, I say to everyone being among you, not to have high thoughts beyond what is right to think. But set your mind to be right-minded, even as God divided a measure of faith to each.

¹² But I say this, that each of you says, I am of Paul, and I of Apollos, and I of Cephas, and I of Christ.

¹⁹ For it has been written, "I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, and I will set aside the understanding of the understanding ones." Isa. 29:14

³¹ so that even as it has been written, "He that glories, let him glory in" the "Lord." Jer. 9:24

⁴ For when one may say, Truly I am of Paul, and another, I of Apollos; are you not fleshly? ⁵ What then is Paul? And what Apollos, but ministers through whom you believed, and to each as the Lord gave? ⁶ I planted, Apollos watered, but God made to grow. ⁷ So as neither he planting is anything, nor he watering, but God making to grow.

¹⁹ For the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God; for it has been written, "He takes the wise in their own craftiness." Job 5:13

²¹ So let no one glory in men; for all things are yours,

¹⁸ As to my not coming to you now, some were puffed up. ¹⁹ But if the Lord wills, I will come to you shortly. And I will not know the word of those who have been puffed up, but the power.

² And you are puffed up, and have not rather mourned, that he that did this deed might be taken from your midst.

⁶ Your boast is not good. Do you not know that a little leaven leavens all the lump?

¹ But concerning the sacrifices to idols, we know that we all have knowledge. Knowledge puffs up, but love builds up.

²³ And I do this for the gospel, that I might become a fellow partaker of it.

⁴ Love has patience, is kind; love is not envious; love is not vain, is not puffed up;

¹⁵ For all things are for your sake, that the super abounding grace may be made to abound through the thanksgiving of the greater number, to the glory of God.

⁷ Do you look at things according to appearance? If anyone has persuaded himself to be of Christ, let him think this again as to himself, that as he is of Christ, so also we are of Christ.

¹² For we dare not rank or compare ourselves with some of those commending themselves, but they measuring themselves among themselves and comparing themselves to themselves, are not perceptive.

¹⁵ not boasting beyond measure in the labors of others, but having hope that the growing faith among you will be made larger according to our rule, to overflowing,

⁴ For if, indeed, the one coming proclaims another Jesus, whom we have not proclaimed, or if you receive another spirit which you have not received, or another gospel which you never accepted, you might well endure these .

¹² But what I do, I also will do, that I may cut off the opportunity of those desiring an opportunity, so that in that which they boast, they be found also as we. ¹³ For such ones are false apostles, deceitful workers transforming themselves into apostles of Christ. ¹⁴ Did not Satan marvelously transform himself into an angel of light? ¹⁵ It is not a great thing, then, if also his ministers transform themselves as ministers of righteousness, whose end will be according to their works.

⁶ For if I desire to boast, I will not be foolish, for I speak the truth. But I spare, lest anyone reckons me to be beyond what he sees me or hears of me.

¹⁹ Again, do you think we are defending to you? We speak before God in Christ, but in all things for your building up, beloved.

¹⁸ Let no one condemn you, delighting in humility and worship of the angels, pushing into things which he has not seen, being puffed up by the mind of his flesh without a cause,

⁵ For our gospel did not come to you in word only, but also in power, and in the Holy Spirit, and in much assurance, even as you know what kind we were among you for your sake.

¹⁰ Because of this, I endure all things on account of the elect, that they also may obtain salvation in Christ Jesus, with everlasting glory.
