¹ In those days Hezekiah was sick to death, and Isaiah the prophet, the son of Amoz, came to him and said to him, So says Jehovah, Order your house, for you are dying, and shall not live. ² And he turned his face to the wall, and prayed to Jehovah, saying, ³ I pray to You, O Jehovah, please remember how I have walked always before your face in truth, and with a perfect heart, and I have done the good in Your eyes. And Hezekiah wept with a great weeping. ⁴ And it happened when Isaiah had not gone out to the middle court, the word of Jehovah came to him, saying, ⁵ Return, and you shall say to Hezekiah the leader of My people, So says Jehovah, the God of your father David, I have heard your prayer; I have seen your tears; behold, I will heal you; you shall go up to the house of Jehovah the third day. ⁶ And I have added fifteen years to your days; and I will deliver you and this city out of the hand of the king of Assyria, and shall defend this city for My own sake, and for My servant David's sake. ⁷ And Isaiah said, Take a cake of figs; and they took and laid it on the boil; and he recovered. ⁸ And Hezekiah said to Isaiah, What will be the sign that Jehovah will heal me, that I will go up on the third day to the house of Jehovah? ⁹ And Isaiah said, This will be the sign to you from Jehovah, that Jehovah will do the thing that He has spoken: Shall the shadow go forward ten steps, or shall it turn back ten steps? ¹⁰ And Hezekiah said, It would be a light thing for the shadow to go down ten steps; no, but let the shadow go back ten steps. ¹¹ And Isaiah the prophet cried to Jehovah; and He brought back the shadow by the steps the shadow had gone down on the sundial of Ahaz, ten steps backward. ¹² At that time Berodach-baladan, the son of Baladan the king of Babylon, sent letters and a present to Hezekiah, for he heard that Hezekiah had been ill. ¹³ And Hezekiah listened to them, and showed them all the house of his treasury, the silver and the gold, and the spices, and the precious ointment, and all the house of his weapons, and all found in his treasure house; there was not a thing that Hezekiah did not show them in his house and in all his dominion. ¹⁴ And Isaiah the prophet came in to king Hezekiah and said to him, What did these men say? And where did they come from to you? And Hezekiah said, They have come from a land afar off, from Babylon. ¹⁵ And he said, What did they see in your house? And Hezekiah said, They saw all that is in my house; there was not a thing that I did not show them among my treasures. ¹⁶ And Isaiah said to Hezekiah, Hear the word of Jehovah: ¹⁷ Behold, the days are coming when all that is in your house, and all that your fathers have treasured up until this day, shall be carried to Babylon; there shall not a thing be left, says Jehovah. ¹⁸ And of your sons that shall issue from you, whom you shall father, they shall take away, and they shall be eunuchs in the palace of the king of Babylon. ¹⁹ And Hezekiah said to Isaiah, The word of Jehovah that you have spoken is good. And he said, Is it not good if peace and truth are in my days? ²⁰ And the rest of the acts of Hezekiah, and all his might, and how he made the pool, and the conduit, and brought in the waters to the city, are they not written in the Book of the Matters of the Days of the Kings of Judah? ²¹ And Hezekiah lay with his fathers. And his son Manasseh reigned in his place.

²³ And Ahithophel saw that his counsel was not done. And he saddled the ass and rose up and went to his house, to his city. And he gave command to his household, then hanged himself, and died. And he was buried in the burying place of his father.

² and he sent Eliakim, who was over the house, and Shebna the scribe, and the elders of the priests, covering themselves with sackcloth, to Isaiah the prophet the son of Amoz.

²⁰ And Isaiah the son of Amoz sent to Hezekiah, saying, So says Jehovah, the God of Israel I have heard that which you have prayed to Me regarding Sennacherib the king of Assyria;

²⁴ In those days Hezekiah was sick even to death, and he prayed to Jehovah, and He spoke to him, and gave a sign for him. ²⁵ And Hezekiah did not return according to the benefit done to him, for his heart had been lifted up, and there was wrath on him and on Judah and Jerusalem. ²⁶ And Hezekiah was humbled for the pride of his heart, he and the people of Jerusalem, and the wrath of Jehovah did not come on them in the days of Hezekiah.

¹ In those days Hezekiah was sick to death. And Isaiah the son of Amoz, the prophet, came to him and said to him, So says Jehovah, Command your house, for you are dying, and shall not live. ² And Hezekiah turned his face to the wall and prayed to Jehovah, ³ and said, O Jehovah, I beg You to remember now that I have walked before You in truth and with a whole heart; and I have done the good in Your eyes. And Hezekiah wept with a great weeping. ⁴ Then the word of Jehovah was to Isaiah, saying, ⁵ Go and say to Hezekiah, So says Jehovah the God of your father David, I have heard your prayer; I have seen your tears. Behold, I will add fifteen years to your days. ⁶ And I will deliver you and this city out of the king of Assyria's hand. And I will shield over this city. ⁷ So this shall be the sign to you from Jehovah, that Jehovah shall do this thing that He has spoken: ⁸ Behold, I will bring back the shadow of the steps which has gone down in the steps of Ahaz with the sun, backward ten steps. So the sun went back up ten steps, by which steps it had gone down! ⁹ The writing of Hezekiah king of Judah, when he had been sick, and had recovered from his illness: ¹⁰ I said in the pause of my days, I shall go to the gates of Sheol; I am deprived of the rest of my years. ¹¹ I said, I shall not see Jah Jehovah in the land of the living; I shall no longer look on man with the world's inhabitants. ¹² My generation is plucked up and carried away from me, like a shepherd's tent; I have cut off my life like the weaver. He will cut me off from the loom; from day to night You will make an end of me. ¹³ I leveled my soul until morning. Like a lion, so He shatters all my bones. From day until night You make an end of me. ¹⁴ Like a swift or a crane, so I chatter. I moan as the dove; my eyes look weakly to the heights, O Jehovah; it presses me down; be surety for me! ¹⁵ What shall I say? For He speaks to me, and He has acted. I shall go softly all my years over the bitterness of my soul. ¹⁶ O Lord, on them they live, and for all in them is the life of my spirit. And You heal me, and make me live. ¹⁷ Behold, for peace was bitter to me, most bitter; but You loved my soul from the pit of destruction; You have cast all my sins behind Your back. ¹⁸ For Sheol cannot thank You; death cannot praise You; the ones going down to the Pit cannot hope for Your truth. ¹⁹ The living, the living is the one thanking You; as I do today. The father makes known Your truth to his sons. ²⁰ For Jehovah is for my salvation; and we will play my songs on stringed instruments all the days of our life, at the house of Jehovah. ²¹ For Isaiah had said, Let them take a cake of figs and rub it on the ulcer, and he will live. ²² And Hezekiah said, What is the sign that I will go up to the house of Jehovah?

⁷ The instant I speak concerning a nation, and concerning a kingdom, to pluck up, or to break down, or to destroy; ⁸ if that nation against whom I have spoken will turn from their evil, I will repent of the evil that I thought to do to it. ⁹ And the instant I speak concerning a nation, and concerning a kingdom, to build and to plant it; ¹⁰ if it does evil in My eye, not to obey My voice, then I will repent of the good which I had said to do good to it.

⁴ And Jonah began to enter a day's journey into the city. And he cried out and said, Yet forty days and Nineveh shall be overthrown! ⁵ And the men of Nineveh believed in God, and they called a fast and put on sackclothes, from the greatest of them even to the least of them. ⁶ And the word touched even to the king of Nineveh, and he arose from his throne, and he took his robe from him and covered himself with sackcloth and sat on the ashes. ⁷ And he cried and said in Nineveh by the decree of the king and of his great ones, saying, Do not let man or beast, herd or flock, taste anything; do not let them feed nor let them drink water. ⁸ But let man and beast be covered with sackcloth. And let them call with strength to God. And let them each one turn from his evil way, and from the violence that is in their palms. ⁹ Who knows? He may turn, and God may have pity and turn away from the glow of His anger, that we do not perish. ¹⁰ And God saw their works, that they turned from their evil way. And God was compassionate over the evil that He had declared to do to them, and He did not do it .

¹ And there was a certain sick one, Lazarus from Bethany, of the village of Mary and her sister Martha. ² And it was Mary who anointed the Lord with ointment and wiped His feet with her hair, whose brother Lazarus was sick. ³ Then the sisters sent to Him, saying, Lord, behold, the one whom You love is sick. ⁴ And hearing, Jesus said, This is not sickness to death, but for the glory of God, that the Son of God be glorified by it. ⁵ And Jesus loved Martha and her sister and Lazarus.

²⁷ For indeed he was sick, coming near to death; but God had mercy on him, and not only on him, but also me, lest I should have grief on grief.

³⁰ that through the work of Christ he drew near to death, having disregarded his life, that he may fill up your lack of service toward me.

³⁰ And You shall listen to the supplication of Your servant, and of Your people Israel when they shall pray toward this place; yea, You shall listen in Your dwelling-place, in Heaven; and You shall hear and shall forgive.

¹⁵ And call on Me in the day of distress; and I will save you; and you shall glorify Me.

² And Hezekiah turned his face to the wall and prayed to Jehovah, ³ and said, O Jehovah, I beg You to remember now that I have walked before You in truth and with a whole heart; and I have done the good in Your eyes. And Hezekiah wept with a great weeping.

⁶ But you, when you pray, enter into your room and shutting your door, pray to your Father in secret. And your Father seeing in secret will repay you in the open.

²² And Enoch walked with God three hundred years after he fathered Methuselah. And he fathered sons and daughters.

²⁴ And Enoch walked with God; then he was not; for God took him.

¹ And God remembered Noah and every living thing, and all the cattle which were with him in the ark. And God made a wind to pass over the earth, and the waters subsided.

¹ And when Abram was ninety nine years old, Jehovah appeared to Abram and said to him, I am the Almighty God! Walk before me and be perfect;

²¹ And his servants said to him, What is this thing you have done? You fasted and wept because of the living boy, yet when the boy is dead, you have risen up and have eaten food? ²² And he said, While the boy was alive, I fasted and wept. For I said, Who knows? Jehovah may be gracious to me and the boy may stay alive.

⁴ so that Jehovah may establish His word which He spoke to me, saying, If your sons take heed to their way, to walk before me in truth, with all their heart, and with all their soul, saying, There shall not be a man to you cut off from the throne of Israel.

⁶ And Solomon said, You have shown great kindness to Your servant, my father David, as he walked before You in truth and in righteousness and in uprightness of heart with You. And You have kept for him this great kindness, and have given to him a son sitting on his throne, as today.

⁶¹ let your heart therefore be perfect with Jehovah our God, to walk in His statutes, and to keep His commandments, as at this day.

⁴ And it happened, at the time Solomon was old, his wives turned away his heart after other gods, and his heart was not perfect with Jehovah his God, like the heart of his father David.

¹⁴ But they did not remove the high places. Only the heart of Asa was perfect with Jehovah all the days.

³ And he did the right in the eyes of Jehovah, according to all that his father David did; ⁴ he took away the high places, and broke in pieces the pillars, and cut down the Asherah, and beat to bits the bronze serpent that Moses made (for in those days it was that the sons of Israel burned sacrifices to it and called it Nehushtan). ⁵ He trusted in Jehovah the God of Israel, and after him there was none like him among all the kings of Judah, nor who were before him; ⁶ and he clung to Jehovah; he did not turn aside from following Him, and kept His commands that Jehovah commanded Moses.

⁹ For the eyes of Jehovah run to and fro in all the earth in order to be strong for those with their heart perfect toward Him. You have acted foolishly in this. For this reason, from now on there shall be wars with you.

²⁰ And Hezekiah did this in all Judah, and did the good and the right and true before Jehovah his God. ²¹ And in every work that he began for the service of the house of God, and in the Law, and in the commandment, to seek his God with all his heart, he worked and prospered.

¹⁹ Think upon me for good, my God, according to all that I have done for this people.

¹⁴ Remember me, O my God, concerning this, and do not wipe out my good deeds which I have done for the house of my God, and in its keeping.

²² And I commanded the Levites that they should be cleansing themselves, and they should come guarding the gates, to sanctify the Sabbath day. O my God, remember me for this also and spare me according to the greatness of Your mercy.

³¹ and for the wood offering, at appointed times, and for the firstfruits. Remember me, O my God, for good!

¹ There was a man in the land of Uz, his name was Job. And this man was perfect and upright, and fearing God, and turning away from evil.

⁸ And Jehovah said to Satan, Have you set your heart on My servant Job because there is none like him in the earth, a perfect and upright man, fearing God and turning away from evil?

⁶ I am weary in my groaning; I shall make by bed swim in all the night; I melt my couch with my tears.

⁷ Do not remember the sins of my youth, or my transgressions. According to Your mercy, remember me, for Your goodness' sake, O Jehovah.

² Blessed is the man to whom Jehovah does not charge iniquity, and in whose spirit there is no guile.

⁴⁷ Remember, I pray, the time of life; for what vanity have you created all the sons of men?

⁵⁰ Remember, O Lord, the reproach of Your servants, my bearing in my bosom the insults of the many peoples;

⁹ For I have eaten ashes like bread, and have mixed my drink with weeping;

⁴⁹ Zayin. Remember the word to Your servant, on which You made me hope.

¹⁸ Jehovah is near to all who call on Him, to all those who call on Him in truth.

¹⁴ Like a swift or a crane, so I chatter. I moan as the dove; my eyes look weakly to the heights, O Jehovah; it presses me down; be surety for me!

¹¹ Then His people remembered the days past of Moses and His people, saying, Where is He who brought us up from the sea with the shepherd of His flock. Where is He who put His Holy Spirit within him;

² and you will swear, As Jehovah lives, in truth, in justice, and in righteousness; even the nations shall bless themselves in Him, and in Him they will glory.

⁶ And they were both righteous before God, walking blameless in all the commandments and ordinances of the Lord.

⁴⁷ Jesus saw Nathanael coming toward Him and said concerning him, Behold, truly an Israelite in whom is no guile!

¹² For our glorying is this, the testimony of our conscience, that we had our conduct in the world in simplicity and sincerity of God, not in fleshly wisdom, but in the grace of God, and more abundantly toward you.

⁷ who in the days of His flesh was offering both petitions and entreaties to Him being able to save Him from death, with strong crying and tears, and being heard from His godly fear;

²¹ Beloved, if our heart does not accuse us, we have confidence with God. ²² And whatever we ask, we receive from Him, because we keep His commandments, and we do the things pleasing before Him.

⁸ As to his house where he lived, the other court was within the porch, as this work was. Solomon also made a house for Pharaoh's daughter whom he had taken, like this porch.

¹⁴ And Hilkiah the priest, and Ahikam, and Achbor, and Shaphan, and Asahiah, went to Huldah the prophetess the wife of Shallum, the son of Tikvah, the son of Harhas, the keeper of the wardrobe (and she lived in Jerusalem, in the second quarter). And they spoke with her.

²⁶ And he said, If you carefully listen to the voice of Jehovah your God, and do what is right in His eyes, and you give ear to His commandments, and keep all His statutes, I will not put on you all the diseases which I have put on Egypt; for I am Jehovah your healer.

³⁹ See now that I, I am He, and there is no other God with Me. I kill, and I keep alive. I wound and I heal, and there is no deliverer from My hand.

¹⁴ And He said, No, for I now come as the Commander of the army of Jehovah. And Joshua fell on his face to the earth and worshiped. And he said to Him, What does my Lord speak to His slave? ¹⁵ And the Commander of the army of Jehovah said to Joshua, Take your shoe off your foot, for the place on which you are standing is holy. And Joshua did so.

¹⁶ At this time tomorrow I will send to you a man out of the land of Benjamin. And you shall anoint him for the leader over My people Israel. And he shall save My people out of the hand of the Philistines; for I have seen My people, for its cry has come to Me.

¹ And Samuel took the flask of oil and poured on his head, and kissed him, and said, Is it not because Jehovah has anointed you for a leader over His inheritance?

² Both yesterday and the day before, when Saul was king over us, you were he who led out and brought in Israel. And Jehovah said to you, You shall shepherd My people Israel, and you shall be for a leader over Israel.

³ And Nathan said to the king, All that is in your heart, go, do. For Jehovah shall be with you. ⁴ And it happened in that night, the word of Jehovah came to Nathan, saying, ⁵ Go, and you shall say to My servant, to David, So says Jehovah, Will you build a house for Me, for My dwelling?

² And Nathan said to David, Do all that is in your heart, for God is with you. ³ And it happened on that night, the word of God came to Nathan, saying, ⁴ Go, and you shall say to My servant David, So says Jehovah, You shall not build a house for Me to dwell in;

¹² And, behold, God is with us at our head, and His priests, and the trumpets, the signal to sound for battle against you. O sons of Israel, do not fight with Jehovah, the God of your fathers, for you shall not prosper.

³ And in the eighth year of his reign, and he was still a boy, he began to seek to the God of his father David; and in the twelfth year he began to cleanse Judah and Jerusalem from the high places, and the Asherahs, and the graven images, and the casted images.

¹⁹ He is also chastened with pain on his bed, and enduring strife in his bones; ²⁰ so that his life loathes bread, and his soul desirable food. ²¹ His flesh wastes away from his sight; and his hones laid bare, they were not seen. ²² Yea, his soul draws near to the Pit, and his life to the dealers of death. ²³ If there is a messenger for him, a mediator, one among a thousand, to declare for man his uprightness, ²⁴ then let Him be gracious to him and say, Deliver him from going down to the Pit, for I have found a ransom! ²⁵ His flesh shall be fresher than in vigor; let him return to the days of his youth. ²⁶ He will pray to God, and He will accept him, and he will see His face with exultation; for He will restore to man his righteousness.

¹² Hear my prayer, O Jehovah, and give ear to my cry. Do not be silent at my tears, for I am an alien with You, a pilgrim, as were all my fathers.

⁸ You have counted my wandering; O put my tears in Your bottle; are they not in Your Book?

² To You who hears prayer, all flesh comes.

¹³ I will go into Your house with burnt offerings; I will pay You my vows, ¹⁴ which my lips have opened, and my mouth has spoken in my trouble. ¹⁵ I will offer burnt sacrifices of fatlings to You, with the incense of rams; I will offer bulls with goats. Selah.

¹⁹ Surely, God has heard; He has attended to the voice of my prayer. ²⁰ Blessed be God, who has not turned away my prayer and His mercy from me!

¹² What shall I return to Jehovah for His benefits to me? ¹³ I will lift up the cup of salvation, and I will call on the name of Jehovah. ¹⁴ I will pay my vows to Jehovah now in the presence of all His people.

¹⁷ I shall not die, but I shall live and declare the works of Jehovah. ¹⁸ Jehovah has grievously chastened me, but He has not given me to death. ¹⁹ Open the gates of righteousness to me, I will enter into them; I will thank Jehovah.

⁵ Those who sow in tears shall reap with joyful shouting.

³ He heals the broken-hearted and binds up their sorrows.

⁵ Go and say to Hezekiah, So says Jehovah the God of your father David, I have heard your prayer; I have seen your tears. Behold, I will add fifteen years to your days.

²² And Hezekiah said, What is the sign that I will go up to the house of Jehovah?

³ Bend your ear and come to Me; hear, and your soul shall live; and I will cut a covenant everlasting with you, the faithful mercies of David.

³² "I am the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob?" God is not God of the dead, but of the living. Ex. 3:6

¹³ But the angel said to him, Do not fear, Zacharias, because your prayer was heard, and your wife Elizabeth will bear a son to you, and you shall call his name John.

¹⁴ After these things, Jesus found him in the temple and said to him, Behold, you have become well, sin no more that a worse thing not happen to you.

¹⁰ For it was fitting for Him, because of whom are all things, and through whom are all things, bringing many sons to glory, to perfect Him as the Author of their salvation through sufferings.

¹⁴ Is any among you sick? Let him call the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord. ¹⁵ And the prayer of faith will cure those being sick, and the Lord will raise him up. And if he may have committed sin, it will be forgiven him.

¹⁷ Because the Lamb in the midst of the throne will shepherd them, and will lead them on the living fountains of waters; and God will wipe off every tear from their eyes.

³⁴ For I will defend this city, to save it, for My own sake, and for My servant David's sake.

²² And Jehovah saved Hezekiah and the people of Jerusalem from the hand of Sennacherib the king of Assyria, and from the hand of all; and He guided them on every side.

¹⁵ Precious in the eyes of Jehovah is the death of His saints.

²⁴ So the Lord Jehovah of Hosts says this: Oh My people who dwell in Zion, do not fear Assyria. He shall strike you with the rod, and he shall lift up his staff against you in the way of Egypt.

²⁴ saying, Do not fear, Paul, You must stand before Caesar. And, behold, God has granted to you all those sailing with you.

²⁰ And he said, Bring a new dish to me, and put salt there. And they took it to him. ²¹ And he went out to the source of the waters and threw salt there, and said, So says Jehovah, I have given healing to these waters; there shall not be death and sterility there any more. ²² And the waters were healed to this day, according to the word of Elisha that he spoke.

⁴¹ And he said, Then bring meal. And he threw into the pot, and said, Pour out for the people and they shall eat. And there was no evil thing in the pot.

²¹ For Isaiah had said, Let them take a cake of figs and rub it on the ulcer, and he will live.

¹⁷ And he said to Him, Please, if I have found grace in Your eyes, then You shall give me a sign that You are speaking with me.

³⁷ behold, I am placing the fleece of wool on the grain floor; if the dew is on the fleece only, and dryness on all the ground, then I will know that You will deliver Israel by my hand, as You have spoken. ³⁸ And it was so. And he rose early on the next day and wrung the fleece, and drained dew out of the fleece, a bowl full of water. ³⁹ And Gideon said to God, Let not Your anger glow against me, and I shall speak only this time. Please let me try only this time with the fleece; please let there be dryness on the fleece alone; and let there be dew on all the ground. ⁴⁰ And God did so on that night, and there was dryness only on the fleece, and there was dew on all the ground.

²⁹ And this shall be the sign for you: you shall eat this year that which grows of itself, and in the second year that which springs of the same; and in the third year you shall sow, and reap, and plant vineyards, and eat their fruit.

⁵ Return, and you shall say to Hezekiah the leader of My people, So says Jehovah, the God of your father David, I have heard your prayer; I have seen your tears; behold, I will heal you; you shall go up to the house of Jehovah the third day.

¹¹ Ask a sign from Jehovah your God; make deep the request, or make it high above.

¹⁴ So, The Lord Himself will give you a sign: Behold! The virgin will conceive and will bring forth a son; and she shall call His name Immanuel.

² After two days He will bring us to life. In the third day He will raise us up, and we shall live before Him.

⁷ So this shall be the sign to you from Jehovah, that Jehovah shall do this thing that He has spoken: ⁸ Behold, I will bring back the shadow of the steps which has gone down in the steps of Ahaz with the sun, backward ten steps. So the sun went back up ten steps, by which steps it had gone down!

¹ And coming, the Pharisees and Sadducees asked Him to show them a sign out of the heaven, tempting Him. ² But answering, He said to them, Evening coming on, you say, Clear sky, for the sky is red. ³ And at morning, Today a storm, for the sky is red, being overcast. Hypocrites! You indeed know how to discern the face of the heaven, but you cannot the signs of the times. ⁴ An evil and adulterous generation seeks a sign, and a sign will not be given to it, except the sign of Jonah the prophet. And leaving them, He went away.

¹¹ And the Pharisees went out and began to argue with Him, seeking from Him a sign from Heaven, tempting Him. ¹² And groaning in His spirit, He said, Why does this generation seek a sign? Truly I say to you, As if this generation will be given a sign!

²⁹ But the crowds pressing on Him, He began to say, This is an evil generation. It seeks a sign, and a sign will not be given to it, except the sign of Jonah the prophet. ³⁰ For even as Jonah became a sign to the Ninevites, so also the Son of man will be to this generation.

¹⁰ And he said, You have asked a hard thing. If you shall see me taken from you, it shall be so to you. And if not, it shall not be.

¹⁸ But this is a light thing in the eyes of Jehovah; He also has given Moab into your hand.

⁶ And He said, It is too little that You should be My servant to raise up the tribes of Jacob, and to restore the preserved ones of Israel; I will also give You for a light of the nations, that You may be My salvation to the end of the earth.

²⁸ And He entering into a house, His disciples questioned Him privately, Why were we not able to cast it out? ²⁹ And He said to them, This kind can go out by nothing except by prayer and fasting.

¹² Indeed, I tell you truly, He that believes in Me, the works which I do, that one shall do also, and greater than these he will do, because I go to My Father.

¹⁵ And Jehovah said to Moses, Why do you cry to Me? Speak to the sons of Israel, and let them pull up.

¹² Then Joshua spoke to Jehovah in the day when Jehovah gave the Amorites up before the sons of Israel; and he said, Sun, stand still before the eyes of Israel in Gibeon! And, Moon stand still in the valley of Aijalon! ¹³ And the sun stood still, and the moon stood still, until the nation was avenged on its foes. Is it not written in the Book of the Upright? Yea, the sun stood still in the middle of the heavens, and did not hasten to go down for a full day. ¹⁴ And there has not been a day such as that, before it or after it; for Jehovah listened to the voice of a man. For Jehovah fought for Israel.

²⁰ And he cried to Jehovah and said, Jehovah my God, have You also brought evil on the widow with whom I am staying, by slaying her son? ²¹ And he stretched himself on the child three times, and called to Jehovah and said, O Jehovah my God, I beg You, let the soul of this boy return to him.

³⁶ And it happened at the offering of the sacrifice, that Elijah the prophet came near and said, O Jehovah, the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Israel, let it be known today that you are God in Israel, and I Your servant, that by Your word I have done all these things. ³⁷ Answer me, O Jehovah, answer me; and this people shall know that You are Jehovah God; and You shall turn their hearts back again. ³⁸ And fire fell from Jehovah and burned up the burnt offering, and the wood, and the stones, and the dust, and the water in the trench was licked up.

²⁴ In those days Hezekiah was sick even to death, and he prayed to Jehovah, and He spoke to him, and gave a sign for him.

³¹ Even so with the envoys of the rulers of Babylon, those sent to him to inquire of the wonder that had been in the land, God left him to test him, to know all his heart.

⁸ Behold, I will bring back the shadow of the steps which has gone down in the steps of Ahaz with the sun, backward ten steps. So the sun went back up ten steps, by which steps it had gone down!

⁴⁰ And putting all out, placing the knees Peter prayed. And turning to the body he said, Tabitha, Arise! And she opened her eyes. And seeing Peter she sat up.

¹⁰ And the beginning of his kingdom was Babel, and Erech, and Accad, and Calneh, in the land of Shinar.

⁹ On account of this its name is called Babel, because Jehovah confused the language of all the earth there. And Jehovah scattered them abroad from there on the face of all the earth.

¹⁰ And Toi sent his son Joram to king David to ask of his peace, and to bless him, because he had fought against Hadadezer and struck him. For Hadadezer had been a man of wars against Toi. And in his hand were silver articles, and golden articles, and bronze articles.

² And David said, I will show kindness to Hanun the son of Nahash, as his father showed kindness to me. And David sent to comfort him concerning his father by the hand of his servants. And David servants came into the land of the sons of Ammon.

¹ The burden of Babylon which Isaiah the son of Amoz saw:

¹⁹ And Babylon, the glory of the kingdoms, the beauty of the pride of the Chaldeans, shall be as when God overthrew Sodom and Gomorrah.

⁴ you shall take up this proverb against the king of Babylon, and say: How the exacter, the gold gatherer, has ceased!

¹ At that time Merodach-baladan, the son of Baladan, king of Babylon, sent letters and a present to Hezekiah For he had heard that he was ill, and was made strong. ² And Hezekiah was glad because of them and let them see the house of his treasure, the silver, and the gold, and the spices, and the good oil, and all his weapons, and all that was found in his treasuries; there was nothing in his house or in all his kingdom that Hezekiah did not let them see. ³ And Isaiah the prophet came to king Hezekiah and said to him, What did these men say? And from where did they come to you? And Hezekiah said, They have come from a distant land to me, from Babylon. ⁴ Then he said, What have they seen in your house? And Hezekiah said, They have seen all that is in my house; there is not a thing among my treasures that I have not made them see. ⁵ And Isaiah said to Hezekiah, Hear the word of Jehovah of Hosts: ⁶ Behold, days come when all that is in your house, even what your fathers have treasured up until now, shall be carried to Babylon; nothing shall be left, says Jehovah. ⁷ And they shall take of your sons who shall issue from you, which you shall father; and they shall be eunuchs in the palace of the king of Babylon. ⁸ Then Hezekiah said to Isaiah, The word of Jehovah that you have said is good. And he said, For there shall be peace and truth in my days.

² And she came to Jerusalem with a very great company, camels bearing spices, and very much gold, and precious stones. And she came to Solomon and spoke with him all that had been in her heart.

¹⁰ And she gave to the king a hundred and twenty talents of gold, and very many spices, and precious stones; no spice like that came any more for abundance, that the queen of Sheba gave to king Solomon.

¹⁵ apart from the merchant men, and from the traffic of the traders, and from all the Arabian kings, and from the governors of the lands.

²⁵ and they were each one bringing his present, vessels of silver, and vessels of gold, and garments, and armor, and spices, horses, and mules, a rate year by year.

²⁵ And Hezekiah did not return according to the benefit done to him, for his heart had been lifted up, and there was wrath on him and on Judah and Jerusalem. ²⁶ And Hezekiah was humbled for the pride of his heart, he and the people of Jerusalem, and the wrath of Jehovah did not come on them in the days of Hezekiah. ²⁷ And Hezekiah had great riches and honor, and he had very many treasures of silver for himself, and of gold, and of precious stones, and of spices, and of shields, and of all desirable vessels,

⁵ Will your eyes fly on it? And it is not! For surely it makes wings for itself, it flies into the heavens like an eagle.

²⁰ For there is not a just man on the earth who does good, and does not sin.

² And Hezekiah was glad because of them and let them see the house of his treasure, the silver, and the gold, and the spices, and the good oil, and all his weapons, and all that was found in his treasuries; there was nothing in his house or in all his kingdom that Hezekiah did not let them see.

⁴⁹ Jehovah shall raise a nation against you from afar, from the end of the earth, as the eagle flies; a nation whose tongue you will not understand,

⁶ And they went to Joshua, to the camp at Gilgal. And they said to him and to the men of Israel, We have come from a distant land. And now cut a covenant with us.

⁹ And they said to him, Your servants have come from a very distant land, because of the name of Jehovah your God, for we have heard of His fame, and all that He has done in Egypt.

⁷ And Nathan said to David, You are the man! So says Jehovah, the God of Israel, I anointed you as king over Israel, and I delivered you out of the hand of Saul. ⁸ And I gave you the house of your master, and your master's wives into your bosom. And I gave you the house of Israel and of Judah. And if that were too little, then I would have added to you these and those things . ⁹ Why have you despised the word of Jehovah, to do the evil in His eyes? You have stricken Uriah the Hittite by the sword, and you have taken his wife to yourself for a wife. And you have killed him by the sword of the sons of Ammon. ¹⁰ And now the sword shall not turn aside from your house continually, because you have despised Me, and have taken the wile of Uriah the Hittite to be a wife to you. ¹¹ So says Jehovah, Behold, I shall raise up evil against you out of your house, and shall take your wives before your eyes and give them to your neighbor. And he shall lie with your wives in the sight of the sun. ¹² For you acted in secret, but I will do this thing before all Israel and before the sun. ¹³ And David said to Nathan, I have sinned against Jehovah. And Nathan said to David, Jehovah also has put away your sin; you shall not die. ¹⁴ Only, because you have made the enemies of Jehovah to scorn derisively by this thing, also the son who shall be born to you shall surely die. ¹⁵ And Nathan went to his house, and Jehovah struck the boy whom the former wife of Uriah had borne to David. And it became sick.

²⁵ And he went in and stood by his lord. And Elisha said to him, Where from Gehazi? And he said, Your servant did not go here or there. ²⁶ And he said to him. Did not my heart go out when the man turned from his chariot to meet you. Is it a time to take silver, and to take garments and olives, and vineyards, and flock, and herd, and male slaves, and slave-girls?

⁷ And at that time Hanani the seer came to Asa the king of Judah and said to him, Because you leaned on the king of Syria, and you have not leaned on Jehovah your God, therefore the army of the king of Syria has escaped from your hand. ⁸ Did not the Cushites and the Lubim become a very great army for multitude, for chariots and for horsemen? And when you leaned on Jehovah, He gave them into your hand. ⁹ For the eyes of Jehovah run to and fro in all the earth in order to be strong for those with their heart perfect toward Him. You have acted foolishly in this. For this reason, from now on there shall be wars with you. ¹⁰ And Asa was angry with the seer; and he gave him up to the house of stocks. For he was in a rage with him for this. And Asa oppressed some of the people at that time.

⁷ But a man of God came to him, saying, O king, do not let the army of Israel go with you; for Jehovah is not with Israel, with all the sons of Ephraim; ⁸ but if you will go, do it; be strong for battle; God shall make you fall before the enemy, for God has power to help, and to cause to stumble. ⁹ And Amaziah said to the man of God, And what shall I do for the hundred talents that I have given to the army of Israel? And the man of God said, Jehovah has more than this to give to you.

¹⁵ And the anger of Jehovah burned against Amaziah, and he sent a prophet to him; and he said to him, Why have you sought the gods of the people that have not delivered their people out of your hand? ¹⁶ And it happened, as he spoke with him, that he said to him, Have we appointed you a counselor to the king? Stop! Why should they strike you? And the prophet stopped, and said, I know that God has counseled to destroy you because you have done this, and have not listened to my counsel.

⁵ Let the righteous strike me; it is a mercy; and he rebuking me, it is oil of the head, let not my head refuse it; for yet my prayer also shall be against their evils.

¹² As a ring of gold, and an ornament of fine gold, so is a wise reprover on a hearing ear.

⁵ They come from a distant land, from the end of the heavens, Jehovah and the weapons of His wrath, to destroy all the land.

¹⁸ Micah of Moresheth prophesied in the days of Hezekiah, king of Judah. And he spoke to all the people of Judah, saying, So says Jehovah of Hosts: Zion shall be plowed like a field, and Jerusalem shall become heaps, and the mountain of the house like the high places of a forest. ¹⁹ Did Hezekiah, king of Judah and all Judah indeed put him to death? Did he not fear Jehovah and entreat the face of Jehovah? And did not Jehovah repent of the evil which He had spoken against them? So we are doing great evil against our souls.

¹² And Amaziah said to Amos, Seer, go! Flee for yourself into the land of Judah, and eat bread there, and prophesy there. ¹³ But do not again prophesy at Bethel any more, for it is the king's holy place, and it is the royal house.

¹⁸ For John had said to Herod, It is not lawful for you to have the wife of your brother. ¹⁹ And Herodias held it against him, and desired to kill him, but was not able.

¹⁹ And Joshua said to Achan, My son, I beg you, give glory to Jehovah, the God of Israel, and give thanks to Him, and please tell me what you have done. Do not hide it from me.

¹³ And Hezekiah listened to them, and showed them all the house of his treasury, the silver and the gold, and the spices, and the precious ointment, and all the house of his weapons, and all found in his treasure house; there was not a thing that Hezekiah did not show them in his house and in all his dominion.

³³ if I covered my transgressions like Adam, by hiding my iniquity in my bosom,

¹³ He who covers his sins never prospers, but he who confesses and forsakes them shall have pity.

⁸ If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. ⁹ If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous that He may forgive us the sins, and may cleanse us from all unrighteousness. ¹⁰ If we say that we have not sinned, we make Him a liar, and His word is not in us.

¹⁹ And he said, Therefore, hear the word of Jehovah: I saw Jehovah sitting on His throne, and all the host of Heaven were standing by Him, on His right and on His left.

¹ And Elisha said, Hear the word of Jehovah: So says Jehovah, About this time tomorrow a measure of fine flour will be at a shekel, and two measures of barley at a shekel, in the gate of Samaria.

¹⁰ Hear the word of Jehovah, rulers of Sodom. Listen to the law of our God, people of Gomorrah.

¹⁶ Now, then, hear the word of Jehovah: You say, Do not prophesy against Israel, and do not drop words against the house of Isaac.

¹⁹ and I will break the pride of your strength, and will make your heavens as iron, and your earth as bronze;

¹³ And he brought out from there all the treasures of the house of Jehovah, and the treasures of the house of the king, and cut in pieces all the vessels of gold that Solomon the king of Israel had made in the temple of Jehovah, as Jehovah had spoken.

¹³ And the bronze pillars in the house of Jehovah, and the bases, and the bronze sea in the house of Jehovah, the Chaldeans broke in pieces and lifted up their bronze to Babylon. ¹⁴ And they took the pots, and the shovels, and the snuffers, and the spoons, and all the vessels of bronze with which they ministered. ¹⁵ And the chief of the executioners took the firepans, and the sprinkling basins, all of gold and silver.

¹⁰ And at the turn of the year, king Nebuchadnezzar sent and brought him to Babylon, with the valuable vessels of the house of Jehovah, and made his kinsman Zedekiah king over Judah and Jerusalem.

¹⁸ And all the vessels of the house of God, the large and the small, and treasures of the house of Jehovah, and the treasures of the king and his leaders, he brought all to Babylon.

²¹ For so says Jehovah of Hosts, the God of Israel, concerning the vessels that remain in the house of Jehovah, and the house of the king of Judah, and Jerusalem: ²² They shall be brought to Babylon, and they shall be there until the day I visit them, says Jehovah. Then I will bring them up and give them back to this place.

¹⁷ Also the Chaldeans broke the pillars of bronze that were in the house of Jehovah, and the bases, and the bronze sea in the house of Jehovah, and carried all the bronze from them to Babylon. ¹⁸ They also took away the pots, and the shovels, and the snuffers, and the bowls, and the spoons, and all the vessels of bronze with which they served. ¹⁹ And the chief of the executioners took away the basins, and the fire pans, and the bowls, and the pots, the lampstands, and the spoons, and the cups; what was gold, in gold, and what was silver, in silver,

¹² And Jehoiachin the king of Judah went out to the king of Babylon, he and his mother, and his servants, and his leaders, and his eunuchs. And the king of Babylon took him in the eighth year of his reign.

⁶ And they seized the king and brought him to the king of Babylon, to Riblah; and they gave judgment on him.

¹¹ And Jehovah brought against them the king of Assyria's army commanders, and they captured Manasseh with hooks, and bound him with bronze fetters, and made him go to Babylon.

³ And the king spoke to Ashpenaz, the chief of his eunuchs that he should bring some of the sons of Israel, and of the king's seed, and of the nobles,

³ And Moses said to Aaron, It is that which Jehovah has spoken, saying, I will be sanctified by those drawing near to Me; and I will be honored before all the people. And Aaron was silent.

¹⁸ And Samuel told him all the words, and did not hide from him. And he said, It is Jehovah; He does which is good in His eyes.

³⁰ And he sent the letters to all the Jews, to the hundred and twenty seven provinces of the kingdom of Ahasuerus words of peace and truth,

²¹ And he said, I came naked out of my mother's womb, and naked I shall return there. Jehovah gave, and Jehovah has taken away. Blessed be the name of Jehovah.

⁹ I was dumb; I did not open my mouth, because You had done it .

⁶ Behold, I will bring health and healing to it, and I will heal them and will show them the abundance of peace and truth.

²² It is by the kindnesses of Jehovah that we are not consumed, for His mercies are not ended.

³⁹ What? Should mankind complain, living man because of his sins?

¹⁹ So says Jehovah of hosts: The fast of the fourth month, and the fast of the fifth, and the fast of the seventh, and the fast of the tenth, shall become for joy and gladness and cheerful feasts to the house of Judah. Therefore, love truth and peace.

¹⁰ And the angel said to them, Do not fear. For, behold, I announce good news to you, a great joy, which will be to all people,

¹⁴ Glory to God in the highest, and peace on earth, good will among men.

¹⁹ And the rest of the acts of Jeroboam, how he fought, and how he reigned, behold, they are written in the Book of the Matters of the Days of the Kings of Israel.

⁷ And the rest of the acts of Abijam, and all that he did, are they not written in the Book of the Matters of the Days of the Kings of Judah? And there was war between Abijam and Jeroboam.

²³ And the rest of all the acts of Asa, and all his might, and all that he did, and the cities he built, are they not written in the Book of the Matters of the Days of the Kings of Judah? Only, at the time of his old age he was diseased in his feet.

²³ And the rest of the acts of Jehoram, and all that he did, are they not written in the Book of the Matters of the Days of the Kings of Judah?

⁶ And the rest of the acts of Azariah, and all that he did, are they not written in the Book of the Matters of the Days of the Kings of Judah?

²⁶ And the rest of the acts of Pekahiah, and all that he did, behold, they are written in the Book of the Matters of the Days of the Kings of Israel.

¹⁹ And the rest of the acts of Ahaz that he did, are they not written in the Book of the Matters of the Days of the Kings of Judah?

⁴ And many people were gathered, and they stopped all the fountains, and the torrent that was rushing through the land, saying, Why should the kings of Assyria come and find much water?

³⁰ And Hezekiah himself had stopped the upper watercourse of Gihon, and had directed them beneath the west of the city of David; and Hezekiah prospered in all his work.

³² And the rest of the acts of Hezekiah, and his godly deeds, behold, they are written in the vision of Isaiah the son of Amoz, the prophet, and in the Book of the Kings of Judah and Israel.

¹⁶ After him Nehemiah the son of Azbuk, the ruler of the half part of Beth-zur, repaired in front of the Tombs of David, and to the pool that was made, and to the house of the mighty men.

⁹ You have also seen the breaks in the city of David, that they are many; and you gathered the waters of the lower pool. ¹⁰ And you have counted the houses of Jerusalem; and you broke down the houses to fortify the wall. ¹¹ And you made a reservoir between the walls, for the water of the old pool. But you have not looked to its Maker, nor did you see its Former from long ago.

¹⁰ And David slept with his fathers, and was buried in the city of David.

⁴³ and Solomon lay with his fathers and was buried in the city of his father David; and his son Rehoboam reigned in his place.

³¹ And Rehoboam lay with his fathers, and was buried with his fathers in the city of David. And his mother's name was Naamah the Ammonitess. And his son Abijam reigned in his place.

¹ Manasseh was a son of twelve years when he began to reign, and he reigned fifty five years in Jerusalem, and the name of his mother was Hephzibah.

¹⁸ And Manasseh lay with his fathers, and was buried in the garden of his house in the Garden of Uzza. And his son Amon reigned in his place.

²³ And Uzziah lay with his fathers, and they buried him with his fathers in the field of the burying place that the kings had; for they said, He is a leper. And his son Jotham reigned in his place.

³³ And Hezekiah lay with his fathers, and they buried him in the uppermost of the graves of the sons of David; and all Judah and the people of Jerusalem honored him at his death. And his son Manasseh reigned in his place.
