⁷ And you shall strike the house of your lord Ahab, that I may avenge the blood of My servants the prophets, and the blood of all the servants of Jehovah from the hand of Jezebel.

³⁵ Vengeance and retribution belong to Me; in due time their foot will slip; for the day of their calamity is near, and the things prepared are hurrying for them.

⁴³ Rejoice, O nations, of His people; for He shall avenge the blood of His servants, and shall render vengeance to His foes, and shall have mercy on His land and His people.

¹⁵ And it happened when Jezebel heard that Naboth had been stoned, and was dead, Jezebel said to Ahab, Rise up, take possession of the vineyard of Naboth the Jezreelite, that he refused to give to you for silver. For Naboth is not alive, but dead.

²¹ Behold, I shall bring evil on you, and shall take away your posterity, and cut off to Ahab him who urinates against a wall, both bond and free in Israel.

²⁵ Surely, none has been like Ahab, who sold himself to do that which was evil in the eyes of Jehovah, whom his wife Jezebel incited.

³² And he lifted his face to the window, and said, Who is with me? Who? And two or three eunuchs looked down to him. ³³ And he said, Throw her down! And they threw her down. And some of her blood was splashed on the wall, and on the horses. And he trampled her. ³⁴ And he came in and ate and drank, and said, Now look after this cursed woman and bury her, for she is a king's daughter. ³⁵ And they went to bury her, but did not find any of her except the skull, and the feet, and the palms of the hands. ³⁶ And they came back and told him. And he said, It is the word of Jehovah that He spoke by the hand of his servant Elijah the Tishbite, saying, In the portion of Jezreel, the dogs shall eat the flesh of Jezebel. ³⁷ And the carcass of Jezebel shall be as dung on the face of the field in the portion of Jezreel, so that they shall not say, This is Jezebel.

¹ O Jehovah, God of vengeance; O God of vengeance, shine forth! ² Lift up Yourself, O judge of the earth; give a just repayment on the proud. ³ Until when shall the wicked, O Jehovah, until when shall the wicked exult? ⁴ They gush, they speak impudent things; all the workers of evil speak proudly. ⁵ O Jehovah, they crush Your people and afflict Your inheritance. ⁶ They kill the widow and the stranger, and murder the orphan. ⁷ Yet they say, The Lord shall not see, nor shall the God of Jacob observe.

³⁵ so that should come on you all the righteous blood poured out on the earth, from the blood of righteous Abel to the blood of Zechariah the son of Berechiah whom you murdered between the Holy Place and the altar.

⁷ and will God not at all execute the avenging of His elect, those crying to Him day and night, also having been long-suffering over them? ⁸ I say to you that He will carry out the avenging of them speedily. But the Son of man coming then, will He find faith on the earth?

¹⁹ not avenging yourselves, beloved, but giving place to wrath, for it has been written, "Vengeance is Mine," "I will repay," says the Lord. Deut. 32:35

⁴ for it is a servant of God to you for the good. But if you practice evil, be afraid; for he does not bear the sword in vain; for he is a servant of God, an avenger for wrath to the one practicing evil.

³⁰ For we know Him who has said, "Vengeance belongs to Me; I will repay," says the Lord. And again, "The Lord will judge His people." Deut. 32:35, 36

⁹ And when He opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the souls of those having been slain for the word of God, and for the witness which they had. ¹⁰ And they cried with a great voice, saying, Until when, holy and true Master, do You not judge and take vengeance for our blood, from those dwelling on the earth?

²⁰ Rejoice over her, Heaven, and the holy apostles, and the prophets, because God judged your judgment on her.

² For true and righteous are His judgments, because He judged the great harlot who defiled the earth with her fornication. And He avenged the blood of His slaves out of her hand.
