¹⁰ And He said, I will certainly return to you at the time of life; and, Behold! A son shall be to your wife Sarah. And Sarah was listening at the entrance to the tent, and it was behind Him.

¹⁰ And the Angel of Jehovah said to her, I will exceedingly multiply your seed, so that it shall not be numbered for multitude.

¹⁶ and I have blessed her and have also given to you a son from her. Yea, I have blessed her and she shall become nations; kings of people shall be from her.

¹⁹ And God said, Your wife Sarah truly shall bear you a son, and you shall call his name Isaac. And I have established My covenant with him for a perpetual covenant with his seed after him.

²¹ And I will establish My covenant with Isaac, whom Sarah shall bear to you at this time next year.

¹³ And Jehovah said to Abraham, Why has Sarah laughed at this, saying, Indeed, truly shall I bear, even I who am old? ¹⁴ Is anything too difficult for Jehovah? At the appointed time I will return to you, at the time of life, and there will be a son to Sarah.

² And Sarah conceived and bore a son to Abraham in his old age, at the time appointed, that which God had spoken with him.

¹⁵ And the Angel of Jehovah called to Abraham out of the heavens a second time. ¹⁶ And He said, I have sworn by Myself, declares Jehovah, that on account of this thing you have done, and not have withheld your son, your only son,

³ And the Angel of Jehovah appeared to the woman, and said to her, Behold now, you are barren and have not borne. But you shall conceive and bear a son. ⁴ And now take heed, and please do not drink wine or fermented drink; and do not eat any unclean thing . ⁵ For, behold, you are pregnant and bearing a son. And a razor shall not go on his head, for the boy shall be a Nazirite to God from the womb. And he shall begin to save Israel out of the hand of the Philistines.

¹⁶ And he said, At this season, according to the time of life you shall embrace a son. And she said, No, my lord, O man of God, do not lie to your handmaid. ¹⁷ And the woman conceived and bore a son, at this season, according to the time of life that Elisha spoke of to her.

¹³ But the angel said to him, Do not fear, Zacharias, because your prayer was heard, and your wife Elizabeth will bear a son to you, and you shall call his name John.

⁸ That is: Not the children of flesh are children of God, but the children of the promise are counted for a seed. ⁹ For the word of promise is this, According to this time I will come, and a son will be to Sarah. Gen. 18:10

²³ But, indeed, he of the slave woman has been born according to flesh, and he out of the free woman through the promise,

²⁸ But, brothers, we are children of promise according to Isaac.
