¹ And Joseph was carried down to Egypt. And Potiphar, a eunuch of Pharaoh, the chief of the executioners, an Egyptian man, bought him from the hand of the Ishmaelites who had carried him down there. ² And Jehovah was with Joseph, and he was a prosperous man. And he was in the house of the Egyptian, his master. ³ And his master saw that Jehovah was with him, and Joseph was prospering in his hand everything which he did. ⁴ And Joseph fond favor in his sight, and served him. And he appointed him over his house, and he gave all he owned into his hand. ⁵ And it came about that from the time he appointed him over his house and over all he owned, Jehovah blessed the Egyptian's house for Joseph's sake. And the blessing of Jehovah was on all that he had, in the house and in the field. ⁶ And he left all he owned in Joseph's hand. And he did not know anything that he had, except the bread which he was eating. And Joseph was beautiful in form and beautiful of appearance. ⁷ And after these things, it happened that his master's wife lifted up her eyes to Joseph, and said, Lie with me. ⁸ And he refused, and said to his master's wife, Behold, my master does not know what is in the house with me, and all that he owns he has given into my hand. ⁹ No one in this house is greater than I, and he has not withheld anything from me except you, because you are his wife. And how should I do this great evil and sin against God? ¹⁰ And it happened, as she spoke to Joseph day after day, he did not listen to her, to lie beside her, to be with her. ¹¹ And it happened on this day, that he went into the house to do his work. And none of the men of the house were there in the house. ¹² And she caught him by his robe, saying, Lie with me! And he left his robe in her hand and fled, and went outside. ¹³ And it happened, when she saw that he had left his robe in her hand, and had fled outside, ¹⁴ She called to the men of her house and spoke to them, saying, Behold! He has brought to us a Hebrew man to mock at us. He came into me to lie with me, and I cried with a loud voice. ¹⁵ And it happened when he heard that I raised my voice and cried, he left his robe by me and fled, and went outside. ¹⁶ And she kept his robe beside her until the coming of his master to his house. ¹⁷ And she spoke these same words to him, saying, The Hebrew slave whom you brought in to us came in to me, to mock at me. ¹⁸ And it happened at my raising my voice and crying out, he left his robe beside me and fled outside. ¹⁹ And it happened, when his master heard his wife's words which she spoke to him, saying, According to these words your slave did to me, his anger glowed. ²⁰ And Joseph's master took him and put him into the prison house the place where the king's prisoners were bound. And he was there in the prison house. ²¹ And Jehovah was with Joseph, and extended kindness to him. And He gave him favor in the eyes of the warden of the prison house. ²² And the warden of the prison house gave all the prisoners in the prison house into Joseph's hand. And all which they did there, he was doing. ²³ There was no looking of the warden of the prison house to anything in his hand, in that Jehovah was with him, and Jehovah was prospering what he was doing.

²⁵ And they sat down to eat bread. And they lifted up their eyes and looked. And, behold, a caravan of Ishmaelites coming from Gilead! And their camels were bearing spices, and balsam gum, and myrrh, going down to take them to Egypt.

²⁸ And men, Midianites, traders, passed. And they drew up and took Joseph out of the pit, and they sold Joseph to the Ishmaelites for twenty pieces of silver. And they brought Joseph into Egypt.

³⁶ And the Midianites sold him into Egypt, to Potiphar, a eunuch of Pharaoh, the chief of the executioners.

⁴ And Joseph said to his brothers, Now come near to me And they came near. And he said, I am your brother Joseph, whom you sold into Egypt.

¹⁷ He sent a man before them, Joseph, being sold for a slave;

⁹ And being jealous of Joseph, the patriarchs sold him into Egypt. But God was with him,

²² And it happened at that time Abimelech and Phicol, the general of his army, spoke to Abraham, saying, God is with you in all that you do.

²⁴ And Jehovah appeared to him in the same night, and said, I am the God of your father Abraham; do not fear, for I am with you; and I will bless you and increase your seed, because of My servant Abraham.

²⁸ And they said, Since we plainly have seen that Jehovah has been with you, and we have said, let there be an oath now between us, between us and you, and let us cut a covenant with you,

¹⁵ And, behold, I will be with you and will guard you in every place in which you may go, and will bring you back to this land; for I will not forsake you until I have surely done that which I have spoken to you.

²¹ And Jehovah was with Joseph, and extended kindness to him. And He gave him favor in the eyes of the warden of the prison house. ²² And the warden of the prison house gave all the prisoners in the prison house into Joseph's hand. And all which they did there, he was doing.

⁹ And being jealous of Joseph, the patriarchs sold him into Egypt. But God was with him, ¹⁰ and plucked him out from all his afflictions, and gave him favor and wisdom before Pharaoh the king of Egypt. And Pharaoh appointed him governor over Egypt and all his household.

³¹ But he said, How should I be able except someone shall guide me? And he called Philip near, to come up to sit with him.

²⁰ Each one in the calling in which he was called, in this remain. ²¹ Were you called as a slave? It does not matter to you. But if you are able to be free, rather use it . ²² For the one called a slave in the Lord is a freed man of the Lord. And likewise, the one called a free man is a slave of Christ. ²³ You were redeemed with a price; do not become slaves of men. ²⁴ Each in whatever state called, brothers, in this remain with God.

¹ Let as many as are slaves under a yoke count their own masters worthy of all honor, that the name and teaching of God may not be blasphemed.

⁹ Let slaves be subject to their own masters, well-pleasing in all things, not speaking against them, ¹⁰ not stealing, but showing all good faith, that they may adorn the doctrine of our Savior God in all things.

²⁷ And Laban said to him, If I have found favor in your eyes, stay. I have seen omens, also Jehovah has blessed me because of you.

³⁰ For little was yours before my presence, and it has spread out into a host. And Jehovah has blessed you at my foot. And now when shall I work for my house, I also?

⁷ Only be strong and very brave, so that you may take heed to do according to all the law which Moses My servant commanded you. Do not turn from it to the right or to the left, that you may act wisely wherever you go. ⁸ This book of the Law shall not depart out of your mouth, and you shall meditate on it by day and by night, so that you shall be on guard to do according to all that is written in it. For then you shall prosper your way, and then you shall act wisely.

¹³ then you shall prosper, if you observe to do the statutes and the judgments that Jehovah commanded Moses as to Israel; be strong and courageous; do not fear, nor be cast down.

⁵ And he sought God in the days of Zechariah, who had understanding in the visions of God; and in the days he sought Jehovah, God made him prosper.

²⁰ Then I answered them and said to them, The God of Heaven, He will prosper us, and we His servants will arise and build. But you have no portion or right or memorial in Jerusalem.

³ And he said, My Lord, if now I have found favor in Your sight, I beg You, do not leave from near Your servant.

¹⁹ Behold, now, Your servant has found grace in Your sight, and You have magnified Your mercy which You have shown to me in saving my life. And I am not able to escape to the mountain lest some evil overtake me and I die.

² And Abraham said to his slave, oldest in his house, the one who governed in all that was to him, Please put your hand under my thigh.

⁵ And it is mine to have oxen, and asses, flocks, and slaves and slave-girls are mine. And I have sent to tell my lord, to find favor in your eyes.

⁸ And he said, Whose is all this camp which I met? And he said, To find favor in the eyes of my lord.

¹⁰ And Jacob said, No, please, if I now have found favor in your eyes, take my present from my hands. For I have seen your face, like seeing the face of God; and you are pleased with me.

⁴ Then the king said to me, For what do you ask? So I prayed to the God of Heaven, ⁵ and I said to the king, If it please the king, and if your servant has found favor in your sight, that you would send me to Judah to the city of my fathers' tombs, so that I might build it.

³⁵ The king's favor is toward a servant who acts prudently, but his wrath takes place on one causing shame.

⁷ When a man's ways please Jehovah, He makes even his enemies to be at peace with him.

² A servant who acts prudently shall rule over a son who causes shame, and he shall have part of the inheritance among the brothers.

²⁹ Do you see a man who is prompt in his work? He shall stand before kings, he shall not stand before obscure men .

¹⁸ The keeper of the fig tree eats its fruit, so he keeping his master is honored.

²⁸ Then take heed to yourselves and to all the flock, in which the Holy Spirit placed you as overseers, to shepherd the church of God which He purchased through His own blood.

² And I will make of you a great nation. And I will bless you and make your name great; and you will be a blessing.

²⁹ And it happened when God destroyed the cities of the plain, God remembered Abraham; and He sent Lot out from the overthrow when overturning the cities in which Lot lived.

³ You shall be blessed in the city, and you shall be blessed in the field. ⁴ The fruit of your body shall be blessed, and the fruit of your ground, and the fruit of your livestock, the offspring of your oxen, and the young ones of your flock. ⁵ Your basket and your kneadingtrough shall be blessed. ⁶ You shall be blessed when you come in, and you shall be blessed when you go out.

And Jehovah blessed Obed-edom and all his house. ¹² And it was told to king David, saying, Jehovah has blessed the house of Obed-edom and all is his, because of the ark of God. ⁶ For You have set him blessings forever; You have rejoiced him in the joy of Your face.

²⁴ saying, Do not fear, Paul, You must stand before Caesar. And, behold, God has granted to you all those sailing with you.

³ Blessed is the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenlies with Christ,

¹⁴ And it happened, when Abram had come into Egypt, the Egyptians saw the woman, that she was very beautiful. ¹⁵ And Pharaoh's princes saw her, and they praised her before Pharaoh. And the woman was taken into Pharaoh's house.

²⁵ At the head of every highway you have built your high place, and have made your beauty despised. And you have parted your feet to all who passed by, and have multiplied your fornications.

³² Like the adulterous wife, instead of her husband, she takes strangers.

³⁴ And in you was the opposite from those women in your fornications, since no one whores after you, and in your giving wages, and hire is not given to you. In this you are opposite.

⁵ And Oholah whored under Me. And she lusted after her lovers, to Assyrian neighbors, ⁶ clothed with purple, governors and rulers, all of them desirable young men, horsemen riding horses.

¹⁶ because all that which is in the world: the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.

¹⁰ My son, if sinners lure you, do not be willing.

¹⁰ When wisdom enters into your heart, and knowledge is pleasing to your soul,

¹⁶ These will deliver you from the strange woman, from the foreigner who flatters with her words, ¹⁷ who forsakes the guide of her youth and forgets the covenant of her God. ¹⁸ For her house leads down to death, and her tracks to the departed spirits. ¹⁹ All going in to her do not return, nor do they reach the ways of life.

³ For the lips of a strange woman drip honey, and her palate is sweeter than oil, ⁴ but afterwards, she is bitter as wormwood, sharp as a sword of mouths; ⁵ her feet go down to death; her steps take hold on hell, ⁶ lest you should meditate on the path of life, her tracks are movable, you cannot know them. ⁷ Then hear me now, O sons, and do not depart from the words of my mouth. ⁸ Remove your ways far from her, and do not come near to the door of her house,

²⁰ My son, keep your father's commands, and do not forsake the law of your mother. ²¹ Tie them to your heart forever; tie them around your neck. ²² When you go, it shall lead you; when you sleep, it shall watch over you; and when you awaken, it will meditate with you. ²³ For the commandment is a lamp, and the law a light; and reproofs of instruction are a way of life, ²⁴ to keep you from the evil woman, from the flattery of the tongue of the strange woman. ²⁵ Do not lust after her beauty in your heart, and do not let her take you with her eyelids,

²⁹ So is he who goes in to his neighbor's wife; everyone touching her shall not be innocent.

³² He who commits adultery with a woman lacks heart; he who does it is a destroyer of his own soul. ³³ He shall find a wound and dishonor, and his shame shall not be wiped away.

⁵ so that they may keep you from the strange woman, from the alien with her flattering words.

²⁵ Do not let your heart turn aside to her ways; do not go astray in her paths. ²⁶ For many are the wounded she has caused to fall; and plentiful all her slain ones. ²⁷ The ways of Sheol are in her house, leading down to the rooms of death.

¹³ A foolish woman is loud; she is thoughtlessness, and she knows not what. ¹⁴ And she sits at the door of her house, in a seat in the high places of the city, ¹⁵ to call those who pass by, who are going straight on their ways: ¹⁶ The simple one, let him turn in here; and to the one lacking heart, she says to him: ¹⁷ Stolen waters are sweet, and bread eaten in secret is pleasant. ¹⁸ But he does not know that the departed spirits are there; her guests are in the depths of hell.

²⁴ A man of friends may be broken up, but there is a Lover who sticks closer than a brother.

¹⁴ The mouth of alien women is a deep pit; those despised by Jehovah shall fall there.

²⁶ My son, give Me your heart, and let your eyes watch My ways. ²⁷ For a harlot is a deep pit, and a strange woman is a narrow well. ²⁸ Surely she lies in wait, as for prey, and she increases the treacherous among men.

³ But God came to Abimelech in a dream by night and said to him, Behold, you are about to die because of the woman you have taken, she being married to a husband.

⁶ And God said to him in a dream, Yes, I know that you did this in the honor of your heart, and I also withheld you from sinning against Me. On account of this I did not allow you to touch her.

⁴⁰ You shall be over my house, and at your mouth all my people shall kiss the hand . Only in respect to the throne will I be greater than you.

¹⁸ And on the third day Joseph said to them, Do this and live. I fear God.

² If any person sins and is slyly treacherous against Jehovah, and deals falsely with his neighbor concerning a deposit, or concerning security, or by robbery, or has extorted his neighbor,

¹⁰ And a man who commits adultery with a man's wife, who commits adultery with the wife of his neighbor, the adulterer and the adulteress are surely to be put to death.

²³ But if you will not do so, behold, you have sinned against Jehovah, and know that your sin will find you out.

²⁷ And the mourning time passed by. And David sent and gathered her to his house; and she became his wife, and bore a son to him. And the thing which David had done was evil in the eyes of Jehovah.

¹³ And David said to Nathan, I have sinned against Jehovah. And Nathan said to David, Jehovah also has put away your sin; you shall not die.

¹⁵ The former governors that had been before me were too heavy on the people, and had taken bread and wine from them, besides forty shekels of silver. Yes, even their servants bore rule over the people. But I did not do this, because of the fear of God.

¹¹ And I said, Should such a man as I flee? And who being as I am would go into the temple and live? I will not go in.

⁹ If my heart has been enticed by a woman; or I have laid wait at my neighbor's door, ¹⁰ let my wife grind to another, and let others crouch over her. ¹¹ For that would be an evil scheme, and is iniquity for judges. ¹² For it is a fire that devours to the Place of Ruin, and it would root up all my gain.

²³ for trouble from God is a terror to me, and I could not do the thing because of His majesty.

⁴ Against You, You only, I have sinned, and done evil in Your eyes; that You might be justified in Your speaking and be clear when You judge.

³² He who commits adultery with a woman lacks heart; he who does it is a destroyer of his own soul.

⁸ They were like lusty, well fed stallions in the morning, everyone neighing after the wife of his neighbor. ⁹ Shall I not judge for these things, says Jehovah? And shall not My soul be avenged on such a nation as this?

¹⁶ So Jehovah says this, Behold, I send you away from the face of the earth. You shall die this year, because you have spoken apostasy against Jehovah.

⁷ All who have found them have devoured them. And their enemies said, We are not guilty, because they have sinned against Jehovah, the habitation of righteousness, and Jehovah, their fathers' hope.

⁴⁸ But he not knowing, and doing things worthy of stripes, will be beaten with few. And everyone given much, much will be demanded from him. And to whom much was deposited, more exceedingly they will ask of him.

² And the rest, it is sought among stewards that one be found faithful.

⁹ Or do you not know that unjust ones will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be led astray, neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor abusers, nor homosexuals, ¹⁰ nor thieves, nor covetous ones, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor plunderers shall inherit the kingdom of God.

¹⁹ Now the works of the flesh are clearly revealed, which are: adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lustfulness, ²⁰ idolatry, sorcery, hatreds, fightings, jealousies, angers, rivalries, divisions, heresies, ²¹ envyings, murders, drunkennesses, wild parties, and things like these; of which I tell you beforehand, as I also said before, that the ones practicing such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.

¹⁰ not stealing, but showing all good faith, that they may adorn the doctrine of our Savior God in all things.

⁴ Marriage is honorable in all, and the bed undefiled; but God will judge fornicators and adulterers.

⁹ Everyone who has been begotten of God does not sin, because His seed abides in him, and he is not able to sin, because he has been born of God.

⁸ But for the cowardly and unbelieving, and those having become foul, and murderers, and fornicators, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all the lying ones, their part will be in the Lake burning with fire and brimstone, which is the second death.

¹⁵ But outside are the dogs and the sorcerers, and the fornicators, and the murderers, and the idolaters, and everyone loving a lie, and making it.

¹⁵ My son, do not walk in the way with them! Hold back your foot from their path;

³ For the lips of a strange woman drip honey, and her palate is sweeter than oil,

⁸ Remove your ways far from her, and do not come near to the door of her house,

²⁵ Do not lust after her beauty in your heart, and do not let her take you with her eyelids, ²⁶ For on account of a woman, a harlot, a man comes to the last loaf of bread, and another man's wife hunts for the precious soul.

¹⁴ And she sits at the door of her house, in a seat in the high places of the city,

¹⁶ The simple one, let him turn in here; and to the one lacking heart, she says to him:

²⁷ For a harlot is a deep pit, and a strange woman is a narrow well.

¹⁸ Flee fornication. Every sin which a man may do is outside the body, but he doing fornication sins against his own body.

³³ Do not be led astray; bad companionships ruin good habits.

²² Keep back from every appearance of evil.

¹⁴ Therefore, I desire the young women to marry, to bear children, to rule the house, giving no occasion to the adversary on account of reproach.

²² But flee youthful lusts and pursue righteousness, faith, love, peace, with the ones calling on the Lord out of a pure heart.

¹¹ Beloved, I exhort you as temporary residents and pilgrims to abstain from fleshly lusts which war against the soul;

¹⁵ And the adulterer's eye keeps watch for twilight, saying, No eye will see me; and he puts a covering on his face.

¹⁷ Stolen waters are sweet, and bread eaten in secret is pleasant.

²⁴ Or can anyone hide himself in secret places so that I do not see him, says Jehovah? Do I not fill the heavens and the earth, says Jehovah?

⁵ And I will come near to you for judgment; and I will be a swift witness against the sorcerers, and against the adulterers, and against those swearing to a lie; and against those who extort from the hired laborer's pay; and turning away the widow, and the fatherless, and the alien, and not fearing Me, says Jehovah of hosts.

³ But let not fornication, and all uncleanness, or greediness, be named among you, as is fitting for saints;

¹² For it is shameful even to speak of the things being done by them in secret.

¹⁰ And it happened, as she spoke to Joseph day after day, he did not listen to her, to lie beside her, to be with her.

²⁷ And Samuel turned around to go. And he took hold on the skirt of his robe, and it tore.

⁵ Deliver yourself like a gazelle from a hand of a hunter, and as a bird from the fowler's hand.

¹³ and she seizes him and kisses him; she hardens her face and says to him, ¹⁴ Sacrifices of peace offerings are on me, today I have paid my vows; ¹⁵ so I came out to meet you, earnestly to seek your face, and I have found you. ¹⁶ I have spread my couch with coverings, with striped cloths of Egyptian linen. ¹⁷ I have sprinkled my bed with myrrh, aloes and cinnamon. ¹⁸ Come, let us take our fill of love until the morning, let us delight ourselves with caresses. ¹⁹ For my husband is not at his house; he is going in the way, far away. ²⁰ He has taken a bag of silver in his hand; at the day of the full moon he will enter his house. ²¹ With the sum of her persuasion she turned him aside; with the flattering of her lips she forced him. ²² He goes after her immediately, as an ox goes to the slaughter; or as one in fetters goes to the correction of a fool, ²³ until an arrow strikes through his liver, as a bird hastens to the snare, and not knowing that it is for his soul. ²⁴ Now, then, listen to me, O sons, and attend to the words of my mouth:

²⁶ and I found more bitter than death the woman whose heart is snares and nets; her hands are like bands. He who is good before God shall escape from her; but the sinner shall be captured by her.

³⁰ How weak is your heart, declares the Lord Jehovah, since you do all these, the work of a woman, an overbearing prostitute, ³¹ in that you built your mound in the head of every highway, and you make your high place in every open place; yet you have not been as a prostitute, even scorning wages.

⁵¹ And one, a certain young man, was following Him, having thrown a linen cloth about his naked body . And the young men seized him. ⁵² But forsaking the linen cloth, he fled from them naked.

²¹ And to Shem was born, even to him, the father of all the sons of Eber, the brother of Japheth the elder.

¹³ And one who had escaped came and told Abraham the Hebrew; for he was living among the oaks of Mamre the Amorite, the brother of Eshcol and Aner. And these had a covenant with Abram.

⁷ And after these things, it happened that his master's wife lifted up her eyes to Joseph, and said, Lie with me.

¹⁷ And she spoke these same words to him, saying, The Hebrew slave whom you brought in to us came in to me, to mock at me.

¹⁵ For truly I was stolen from the land of the Hebrews; and here also I have not done anything that they should have put me into the dungeon.

¹¹ Witnesses of violence rise up; they asked me what I did not know;

³ from the voice of the enemy, from the oppression of the wicked; for they shake trouble over me, and in anger they hate me.

³ What shall be given to you, or what shall one add to you, O false tongue?

¹⁸ He who hides hatred with lying lips, and he who sends out a slander, he is a fool.

⁷ Hear Me, knowers of righteousness, the people of My law in their heart; do not fear the reproach of man, and do not be bowed from their blasphemings.

¹⁷ Every weapon formed against you shall not prosper, and every tongue that shall rise against you in judgment, you shall condemn. This is the inheritance of the servants of Jehovah, and their righteousness is from Me, says Jehovah.

⁵ Those who are near and those far from you shall mock against you, O defiled of name, abounding in tumult.

¹¹ Blessed are you when they shall reproach you, and persecute you, and shall say every evil word against you, lying, on account of Me.

⁵⁹ And the chief priests and the elders and the whole sanhedrin looked for false testimony against Jesus, so that they might put Him to death,

² And they began to accuse Him, saying, We found this one perverting the nation, and forbidding to give tribute to Caesar, saying himself to be a king, Christ.

⁸ through glory and dishonor, through evil report and good report; as deceivers, and yet true;

²⁰ For what glory is it if you patiently endure while sinning and being buffeted? But if you are suffering while doing good, and patiently endure, this is a grace from God.

¹⁴ But if you truly suffer because of righteousness, blessed are you . "But do not fear their fear, nor be troubled. ¹⁵ But sanctify" Isa. 8:12, 13 the Lord God in your hearts, and always be ready to give an answer to everyone asking you a reason concerning the hope in you, with meekness and fear, ¹⁶ having a good conscience, that while they speak against you as evildoers, they may be shamed, those falsely accusing your good behavior in Christ. ¹⁷ For it is better, if the will of God wills it, to suffer for doing good than for doing evil. ¹⁸ Because even Christ once suffered concerning sins, the just for the unjust, that He might bring us to God; indeed being put to death in the flesh, but made alive in the Spirit;

¹⁴ If you are reviled in the name of Christ, you are blessed, because "the Spirit of God and of glory rests on you." Truly, according to them, He is blasphemed; but according to you, He is glorified. Isa. 11:2 ¹⁵ For do not let any of you suffer as a murderer, or a thief, or an evildoer, or as a meddler in the affairs of others. ¹⁶ But if one suffers as a Christian, do not let him be ashamed, but to glorify God in this respect. ¹⁷ Because the time has come to begin the judgment from the house of God; and if firstly from us, what will be the end of the ones disobeying the gospel of God? ¹⁸ And "if the righteous is scarcely saved, where will the ungodly and sinner appear?" Prov. 11:31 ¹⁹ So as indeed the ones suffering according to God's will, as to a faithful Creator, let them commit their souls in well-doing.

¹² The wicked plots against the righteous, and gnashes on him with his teeth;

³² The wicked spies on the righteous and seeks to kill him.

²² For My people are foolish. They do not know Me. They are stupid children, and they have no understanding. They are wise to do evil, but they do not know to do good.

³ And they bend their tongues, their bow is a lie. And they are not mighty for the truth on the earth, for they go from evil to evil. They also do not know Me, says Jehovah. ⁴ Let everyone be on guard against his neighbor, and do not trust any brother. For every brother will supplant, and every neighbor will walk as a slanderer. ⁵ And everyone will deceive his neighbor, and they will not speak the truth. They have taught their tongue to speak lies. They weary themselves to commit iniquity.

³ For we also once were senseless, disobedient, led astray, slaving for various lusts and pleasures, living in malice and envy, hateful, hating one another.

¹⁴ She called to the men of her house and spoke to them, saying, Behold! He has brought to us a Hebrew man to mock at us. He came into me to lie with me, and I cried with a loud voice.

¹⁶ You shall not testify a witness of falsehood against your neighbor.

¹ You shall not utter a false report; You shall not put your hand with the wicked, to become a violent witness.

¹⁷ And it happened when Ahab saw Elijah, that Ahab said to him, Are you he, the disturber of Israel?

⁹ And she wrote in the letters, saying, Proclaim a fast, and set Naboth at the head of the people. ¹⁰ And set two men, sons of worthlessness, across from him; and they shall testify of him, saying, You have cursed God and the king. And they shall bring him out and stone him; and he shall die. ¹¹ And the men of his city, the elders and the nobles who lived in his city, did as Jezebel had sent to them, as was written in the letters that she sent to them. ¹² They proclaimed a fast, and made Naboth to sit at the head of the people. ¹³ And two men, sons of worthlessness, came in and sat across from him. And the men of worthlessness testified of him before the people, even Naboth, saying, Naboth has cursed God and the king. And they took him out to the outside of the city, and stoned him with stones. And he died.

¹⁴ The wicked have drawn out the sword and they have trodden their bow, to cause the poor and needy to fall; to kill those who walk uprightly.

² O Jehovah, deliver my soul from lying lips, from a deceitful tongue. ³ What shall be given to you, or what shall one add to you, O false tongue? ⁴ Sharp arrows of the mighty with coals of broom!

¹⁹ The lips of truth are established forever, but a lying tongue is only while I wink.

⁵ A false witness shall not be acquitted; yea, a breather of lies shall not escape.

⁹ A false witness shall not be acquitted; yea, he who speaks lies shall perish.

⁶⁵ Then the high priest tore his garments, saying, He blasphemed! Why do we have any more need of witnesses? Behold, now you have heard his blasphemy.

⁵ And He did not look to Cain and to his offering. And Cain glowed greatly with anger, and his face fell. ⁶ And Jehovah said to Cain, Why have you angrily glowed, and why has your face fallen?

¹⁶ I was father to the poor, and the cause which I did not know, I searched out.

³⁴ For jealousy is the rage of a man, and he will not spare in the day of vengeance, ³⁵ He will not lift up the face of every ransom, nor will he consent if you multiply the bribes.

¹⁷ He who is first in his cause seems just, but his neighbor comes and searches him.

¹² To a ruler who listens to lying words, all his ministers are wicked.

⁷ Many waters cannot quench love, nor will the rivers overflow it. If a man would give all the wealth of his house for love, they surely would despise him.

¹⁶ to whom I answered, It is not a custom with Romans to give up any man to destruction before the one being accused may have the accusers face to face, and may receive place of defense concerning the charge.

¹¹ And because of this, God will send to them a working of error, for them to believe the lie,

¹ And after these things, it happened, the cupbearer and the baker of the king of Egypt sinned against their lord, against the king of Egypt. ² And Pharaoh was angry against his two eunuchs, against the chief of the cupbearers and against the chief of the bakers. ³ And he gave them into custody, in the house of the chief of the executioners, into the prison house, the place where Joseph was bound.

⁹ And the chief of the cupbearers spoke with Pharaoh, saying, I mention my sin today. ¹⁰ Pharaoh was angry against his servants, and gave me into custody in the house of the chief of the executioners, me and the chief of the bakers. ¹¹ And we dreamed a dream in one night, he and I; we each dreamed according to the interpretation of his dream. ¹² And a Hebrew youth was with us, a slave to the chief of the executioners. And we told him, and he interpreted our dreams to us; he interpreted to each according to his dream. ¹³ And it happened, as he had interpreted to us, so it was; he returned me to my place, and he hanged him. ¹⁴ And Pharaoh sent and called Joseph; and they rushed him from the dungeon. And he shaved and changed his clothing and came in to Pharaoh.

¹⁰ For the wraths of man thank You; You encircle Yourself with the wraths left over.

¹⁸ they hurt his feet with chains; his soul came into iron; ¹⁹ until the time His word came, the word of Jehovah refined him;

⁸ He was taken from prison and from justice; and who shall consider His generation? For He was cut off out of the land of the living; from the transgression of My people, the stroke was to Him.

²¹ Then these men were tied up in their slippers, their tunics, and their mantles, and their other clothes, and were thrown into the middle of the burning, fiery furnace. ²² Then, because the king's command was urgent, and the furnace exceedingly hot, the flame of the fire killed those men who took up Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego.

⁹ in which I suffer ill as an evildoer, unto bonds; but the Word of God has not been bound.

¹⁹ For this is a grace, if because of conscience toward God anyone bears grief, suffering unjustly.

² And Jehovah was with Joseph, and he was a prosperous man. And he was in the house of the Egyptian, his master.

³ And he gave them into custody, in the house of the chief of the executioners, into the prison house, the place where Joseph was bound.

²³ And the masters of arrows harass him, and shoot, and an archer lurks for him. ²⁴ His bow abides in strength, and the hands of his arms are made agile by the hands of the Mighty One of Jacob, from the Shepherd, the Rock of Israel.

²¹ And I will give this people favor in the eyes of Egypt; and it will come to pass, when you go, you will not go empty.

³ And Jehovah gave favor in the eyes of the Egyptians toward the people. And the man Moses was very great in the land of Egypt, in the eyes of the servants of Pharaoh, and in the eyes of the people.

³⁶ And Jehovah gave favor to the people in the eyes of the Egyptians. And they granted their requests And they plundered Egypt.

¹⁹ until the time His word came, the word of Jehovah refined him;

²² to bind his leaders at his will, and to teach his elders wisdom.

⁴⁶ And He gave them to tender mercies before all their captors.

⁹ And God had given Daniel kindness and compassion before the chief of the eunuchs.

²² My God has sent His Angel, and He has shut the mouths of the lions. And they have not hurt me, because in His sight purity was found in me. And also before you, O king, I have done no harm.

³¹ What then shall we say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us? ³² Truly He who did not spare His own Son, but gave Him up for us all, how will He not freely give us all things with Him?

³⁷ But in all these things we more than conquer through Him loving us.

¹³ And who is the one harming you if you become imitators of the good? ¹⁴ But if you truly suffer because of righteousness, blessed are you . "But do not fear their fear, nor be troubled.

¹⁷ For it is better, if the will of God wills it, to suffer for doing good than for doing evil.

¹⁴ If you are reviled in the name of Christ, you are blessed, because "the Spirit of God and of glory rests on you." Truly, according to them, He is blasphemed; but according to you, He is glorified. And Joseph was beautiful in form and beautiful of appearance. ⁷ And after these things, it happened that his master's wife lifted up her eyes to Joseph, and said, Lie with me.

⁹ No one in this house is greater than I, and he has not withheld anything from me except you, because you are his wife. And how should I do this great evil and sin against God?

³ And he gave them into custody, in the house of the chief of the executioners, into the prison house, the place where Joseph was bound. ⁴ And the chief of the executioners assigned Joseph to be with them, and he served them. And they were in custody many days.

³⁰ So says Jehovah the God of Israel, I said indeed that your house and your father's house should walk before Me until forever. But now Jehovah says, Be it far from Me! For those who honor Me, I will honor; and those despising Me will be despicable.

³ Trust in Jehovah and do good; live in the land and feed on faithfulness.

¹¹ But the meek shall inherit the earth, and they shall delight themselves in abundant peace.

² And Jehovah was with Joseph, and he was a prosperous man. And he was in the house of the Egyptian, his master. ³ And his master saw that Jehovah was with him, and Joseph was prospering in his hand everything which he did.

³ Trust in Jehovah and do good; live in the land and feed on faithfulness. ⁴ And delight yourself in Jehovah, that He may give you your heart's desire. ⁵ Roll your way on Jehovah, and trust in Him; and He will work. ⁶ And He will bring forth your righteousness like the light; and your judgment like the noon day. ⁷ Rest in Jehovah and wait patiently for Him; inflame not yourself with him who prospers in his way, with the man practicing evil wiles. ⁸ Abstain from anger and cease from fury; also do not inflame yourself to do evil. ⁹ For evildoers shall be cut off; and the ones waiting on Jehovah, they shall inherit the earth. ¹⁰ It is but a little, and the wicked shall not be; yes, you shall search his place, and he is not. ¹¹ But the meek shall inherit the earth, and they shall delight themselves in abundant peace.
