¹ James, a slave of God and of the Lord Jesus Christ, to the twelve tribes in the Dispersion, greeting: ² My brothers count it all joy when you fall into various trials, ³ knowing that the proving of your faith works patience. ⁴ But let patience have its perfective work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing. ⁵ But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask from God, who gives to all freely and with no reproach, and it will be given to Him. ⁶ But let him ask in faith, doubting nothing. For the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea, being driven by wind and being tossed; ⁷ for do not let that man suppose that he will receive anything from the Lord; ⁸ he is a double-souled man, not dependable in all his ways. ⁹ But let the lowly brother rejoice in his lifting up; ¹⁰ and the rich one rejoice in his humiliation, because he will pass away like the flower of the grass. ¹¹ For the sun rose with the hot wind and dried up the grass, and its flower fell out, and the beauty of its appearance perished; so also the rich one will fade away in his ways. Isa. 40:6, 7 ¹² Blessed is the man who endures temptation, because having been approved he will receive the crown of life which the Lord promised to the ones loving Him. ¹³ Let no one being tempted say, I am tempted from God. For God is not tempted by evils, and He tempts no one. ¹⁴ But each one is tempted by his own lusts, having been drawn out and having been seduced by them . ¹⁵ Then being conceived, lust brings forth sin. And sin being fully formed brings forth death. ¹⁶ Do not go astray, my beloved brothers, ¹⁷ every act of good giving and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, with whom is no change or shadow of turning. ¹⁸ Having purposed, He brought us forth by the word of truth, for us to be a certain firstfruit of His creatures. ¹⁹ So that, my beloved brothers, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath. ²⁰ For the wrath of man does not work out the righteousness of God. ²¹ On account of this, having put aside all filthiness and overflowing of evil, in meekness receive the implanted Word being able to save your souls. ²² But become doers of the Word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves. ²³ Because if anyone is a hearer of the Word, and not a doer, this one is like a man studying his natural face in a mirror; ²⁴ for he studied himself, and has gone away, and immediately he forgot of what kind he was. ²⁵ But the one looking into the perfect law of liberty, and continuing in it, this one not having become a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this one will be blessed in his doing. ²⁶ If anyone thinks to be religious among you, yet not bridling his tongue, but deceiving his heart, this one's religion is vain. ²⁷ Pure and undefiled religion before God and the Father is this: to visit orphans and widows in their afflictions, and to keep oneself unspotted from the world.

⁴ And Moses wrote all the words of Jehovah. And he rose early in the morning and built an altar below the mountain, and twelve memorial pillars for the twelve tribes of Israel.

²¹ And the stones shall be according to the names of the sons of Israel, twelve according to their names, the engraving of a signet; they shall be each according to his name for the twelve tribes.

³³ And I will scatter you among nations, and shall draw out the sword after you, and your land shall become a waste, and your cities shall be a desolation.

²⁷ And Jehovah shall scatter you among the peoples, and you shall be left few in number among the nations to which Jehovah shall lead you away.

⁶⁴ And Jehovah shall scatter you among all people, from one end of the earth even to the other, and you shall serve other gods there, wood and stone, which you have not known, nor your fathers.

³ then Jehovah your God will turn your captivity, and He will have pity on you, and will return and gather you from all the nations where Jehovah your God has scattered you.

²⁶ I said, I will dash them to pieces; I will make their memory cease from among men;

³¹ And Elijah took twelve stones, according to the number of the tribes of the sons of Jacob, to whom the word of Jehovah came, saying, Israel shall be your name.

¹⁷ And they offered at the dedication of this house of God a hundred bulls, two hundred rams, four hundred lambs, and twelve male goats, for a sin offering for all Israel, according to the number of the tribes of Israel.

⁸ And Haman said to king Ahasuerus, There is a people scattered abroad and dispersed among the people in all the provinces of your kingdom. And their laws are different from every people, and they are not doing the king's laws. And it is not for the king's gain to let them alone.

¹⁵ And they shall know that I am Jehovah when I shall scatter them among the nations and disperse them in the lands.

³ Philip, and Bartholomew, Thomas, and Matthew the tax-collector, James the son of Alpheus, and Lebbaeus, whose last name was Thaddaeus,

⁵⁵ Is this not the carpenter's son? Is not his mother called Mary, and his brothers, James, and Joses, and Simon, and Judas?

²⁸ And Jesus said to them, Truly I say to you, You who have followed Me, in the regeneration when the Son of man sits on the throne of His glory, you also will sit on twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel.

¹⁸ Also He appointed Andrew, and Philip, and Bartholomew, and Matthew, and Thomas, and James the son of Alpheus, and Thaddaeus, and Simon the Canaanite,

¹⁵ Matthew and Thomas; James the son of Alpheus, and Simon, the one being called Zealot;

³⁰ that you may eat and drink at My table in My kingdom; and you will sit on thrones judging the twelve tribes of Israel.

³⁵ Then the Jews said amongst themselves, Where is this one about to go that we will not find him? Is he about to go to the Dispersion of the Greeks, and to teach the Greeks?

²⁶ If anyone serves Me, let him follow Me; and where I am, there My servant will also be. And if anyone serves Me, the Father will honor him.

¹³ And when they went in, they went up to the upper room where they were waiting: both Peter and James, and John and Andrew, Philip and Thomas, Bartholomew and Matthew, James the son of Alpheus and Simon the Zealot, and Judas the brother of James.

⁵ And Jews were living in Jerusalem, devout men from every nation of those under the heaven.

¹ And Saul was consenting to the doing away of him. And in that day a great persecution took place on the church which was in Jerusalem; and all were scattered throughout the regions of Judea and Samaria, except the apostles.

¹⁷ And signaling to them with the hand to be silent, he told them how the Lord led him out of the prison. And he said, Report these things to James and the brothers. And going out, he went to another place.

⁷ to which our twelve tribes hope to arrive, worshiping in earnestness night and day, concerning which hope I am accused by the Jews, king Agrippa.

¹ Paul, a slave of Jesus Christ, a called apostle, separated to the gospel of God,

¹⁹ But I saw no other of the apostles except James the brother of the Lord.

⁹ and knowing the grace given to me, James and Cephas and John, those seeming to be pillars, gave right hands of fellowship to Barnabas and to me, that we go to the nations, but they to the circumcision;

⁴ And I heard the number of those having been sealed: one hundred forty four thousands, having been sealed out of every tribe of the sons of Israel:

¹⁰ Blessed are they who have been persecuted for righteousness' sake! For theirs is the kingdom of Heaven. ¹¹ Blessed are you when they shall reproach you, and persecute you, and shall say every evil word against you, lying, on account of Me. ¹² Rejoice and leap for joy, for your reward is great in Heaven; for in this way they persecuted the prophets who were before you.

²² Blessed are you when men hate you, and when they cut you off, and will reproach you, and will cast out your name as evil, on account of the Son of man; ²³ rejoice in that day, and leap for joy; for, behold, your reward is much in Heaven! For their fathers did according to these things to the prophets.

⁴¹ Then they indeed departed from the presence of the sanhedrin, rejoicing that they were deemed worthy to be dishonored on behalf of His name.

¹⁷ And if children, also heirs; truly heirs of God, and joint-heirs of Christ, if indeed we suffer together, that we may also be glorified together. ¹⁸ For I calculate that the sufferings of the present time are not worthy to compare to the coming glory to be revealed in us.

³⁵ Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or danger, or sword? ³⁶ Even as it has been written, "For Your sake we are killed all the day; we are counted as sheep of slaughter." Psa. 44:22 ³⁷ But in all these things we more than conquer through Him loving us.

⁹ And He said to me, My grace is sufficient for you, for My power is perfected in weakness. Therefore, I will rather gladly boast in my weaknesses, that the power of Christ may overshadow me. ¹⁰ Because of this, I am pleased in weaknesses, in insults, in dire needs, in persecutions, in distresses, for the sake of Christ. For when I may be weak, then I am powerful.

²⁹ because it was granted to you on behalf of Christ not only to believe in Him, but also to suffer on His behalf,

¹⁷ But if indeed I am poured out on the sacrifice and service of your faith, I rejoice; yea, I rejoice with you all.

²⁴ who now rejoice in my sufferings on your behalf and fill up in my flesh the things lacking of the afflictions of Christ on behalf of His body, which is the church,

³⁴ For also you suffered together in my bonds; and you accepted the seizure of your possessions with joy, knowing yourselves to have a better and abiding possession in Heaven.

³⁶ And others received trial of mockings and of floggings; yea, more, of bonds and of prison: ³⁷ they were stoned; they were tried; they were sawn in two; they died by murder of sword; they went about in sheepskins and in goatskins, being in need, being afflicted, being ill-treated; ³⁸ of whom the world was not worthy, wandering in deserts, and mountains, and caves, and the holes of the earth.

⁶ in which you exult; yet a little while, if need be, grieving in manifold trials, ⁷ so that the proving of your faith, much more precious than perishing gold, but having been proved through fire, may be found to praise and honor and glory at the revelation of Jesus Christ; ⁸ whom having not seen, you love; in whom not yet seeing, but believing, you exult with unspeakable and having been glorified,

¹³ but according as you share the sufferings of Christ, rejoice; so that you may rejoice exultingly at the revelation of His glory. ¹⁴ If you are reviled in the name of Christ, you are blessed, because "the Spirit of God and of glory rests on you." Truly, according to them, He is blasphemed; but according to you, He is glorified. Isa. 11:2 ¹⁵ For do not let any of you suffer as a murderer, or a thief, or an evildoer, or as a meddler in the affairs of others. ¹⁶ But if one suffers as a Christian, do not let him be ashamed, but to glorify God in this respect.

⁹ But the Lord knows to deliver the godly out of temptation, and to keep the unjust for a day of judgment, being punished, ¹⁰ Do not at all fear what you are about to suffer. Behold, the Devil is about to throw you into prison, so that you may be tried; and you will have affliction ten days. Be faithful until death, and I will give you the crown of life.

⁷ everlasting life truly to those who with patience in good work are seeking glory and honor and incorruptibility;

³ And not only so, but we glory also in afflictions, knowing that affliction works out patience, ⁴ and patience works out proven character; and proven character, hope.

²⁵ But if we hope for what we do not see, through patience we wait eagerly.

²⁸ But we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to purpose;

⁴ For whatever things were written before were written for our instruction, that through patience and encouragement of the Scriptures we might have hope.

¹⁷ For the lightness of our present affliction works out for us an eternal weight of glory, surpassing moment by surpassing moment;

¹¹ being empowered with all power according to the might of His glory, to all patience and longsuffering with joy;

⁴ so as for us to boast ourselves in you in the churches of God for your patience and faith in all your persecutions, and the afflictions which you endure,

⁵ And the Lord direct your hearts into the love of God and into the patience of Christ.

³⁶ For you have need of patience, that having done the will of God you may obtain the promise.

¹ So therefore we also, having so great cloud of witnesses lying around us, having laid aside every weight and the easily surrounding sin, through patience let us also run the race set before us,

⁷ so that the proving of your faith, much more precious than perishing gold, but having been proved through fire, may be found to praise and honor and glory at the revelation of Jesus Christ;

⁶ and knowledge with self-control; and self-control with patience; and patience with godliness;

⁹ And the righteous shall hold firmly on his way; and he of clean hands adds strength.

⁷ Rest in Jehovah and wait patiently for Him; inflame not yourself with him who prospers in his way, with the man practicing evil wiles.

¹ To the chief musician. A Psalm of David. Waiting I have waited on Jehovah; and He bowed to me and heard my cry.

⁸ Exalt her, and she will lift you up; she shall bring you to honor when you embrace her.

³ For the vision is still for the appointed time, but it breathes to the end, and it does not lie. Though it delays, wait for it, because it will surely come; it will not tarry.

⁴⁸ Therefore, you be perfect even as your Father in Heaven is perfect.

²² And you will be hated by all on account of My name, but the one enduring to the end shall be kept safe.

²⁰ The young man said to Him, All these things I have kept from my youth. What do I still lack?

²¹ And looking at him, Jesus loved him, and said to him, One thing is lacking to you. Go, sell what things you have, and give to the poor. And you will have treasure in Heaven. And come, follow Me, taking up the cross.

¹⁵ And those in the good ground, these are the ones who in a right and good heart, hearing the Word, they hold it and bear fruit in patience.

²² And hearing these things, Jesus said to him, Yet one thing is lacking to you: sell all, as much as you have, and give to the poor; and you will have treasure in Heaven. And come, follow Me.

¹⁹ By your patience you will gain your souls.

²³ I in them, and You in Me, that they may be perfected in one; and that the world may know that You sent Me and loved them, even as You loved Me.

⁶ But we speak wisdom among the perfect, but not the wisdom of this age, nor of the rulers of this age, those being brought to nothing.

⁹ But we should not weaken in doing good, for in due time we shall reap, if we do not faint.

¹² Not that I already received or already have been perfected, but I press on, if I also may lay hold, inasmuch as I also was laid hold of by Christ Jesus. ¹³ Brothers, I do not count myself to have laid hold, but one thing I do, forgetting the things behind, and stretching forward to those things before, ¹⁴ I press on after the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus. ¹⁵ Then as many as are perfect, let us be of this mind; and if you think anything differently, God will also reveal this to you.

¹² Epaphras greets you, he of you, a slave of Christ, always striving for you in prayers, that you may stand full-grown and being complete in every will of God.

¹⁷ so that the man of God may be perfected, fully furnished for every good work.

²¹ perfect you in every good work, in order to do His will, doing in you that which is pleasing in His sight, through Jesus Christ, to whom be the glory forever and ever. Amen.

⁵ But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask from God, who gives to all freely and with no reproach, and it will be given to Him.

² For we all stumble in many ways . If any one does not stumble in word, this one is a mature man, able also to bridle the whole body.

⁷ Therefore, brothers, be long-suffering until the coming of the Lord. Behold, the farmer waits for the precious fruit of the earth, being long-suffering over it until it may receive the early and the latter rain. ⁸ You also be long-suffering. Set your hearts firmly, because the coming of the Lord has drawn near. ⁹ Do not murmur against one another, brothers, that you not be condemned. Behold, the Judge stands before the door. ¹⁰ My brothers, as an example of suffering ill, and of longsuffering, take the prophets who spoke in the name of the Lord. ¹¹ Behold, we call those blessed who endure. You have heard of the patience of Job, and you saw the end of the Lord, "that the Lord is full of tender mercy and pity." Psa. 103:8

¹⁰ Now the God of all grace, the One calling you to His eternal glory in Christ Jesus, you having suffered a little, He Himself will perfect, confirm, strengthen, establish you .

⁹ For the one in whom these things are not present is blind, being shortsighted, taking on forgetfulness of the cleansing of his sins in time past.

¹⁷ By this love has been perfected with us, that we have confidence in the day of judgment, that as He is, we are also in this world. ¹⁸ There is no fear in love, but perfect love casts out fear, because fear has punishment; and the one fearing has not been perfected in love.

³ And I have filled him with the spirit of God in wisdom, and in intelligence, and in knowledge, and in all workmanship,

⁶ And behold! I have given with him Aholiab the son of Ahisamach of the tribe of Dan; and in the heart of every wise-hearted one I have given wisdom; and they shall make all which I have commanded you:

¹ And Bezaleel and Aholiab shall work with everyone wise of heart to whom Jehovah has given wisdom and intelligence, to know how to do every work of the service of the sanctuary, concerning all which Jehovah had commanded. ² And Moses called to Bezaleel, and to Aholiab, and to everyone wise of heart, to whom Jehovah had given a heart of wisdom, everyone whose heart had lifted him up to come near the work, to do it. ³ And they took every offering before Moses which the sons of Israel had brought for the work of the service in the holy place, to do it. And they brought to him still more willing offerings morning by morning. ⁴ And all the wise men came, those doing every kind of work for the sanctuary, each one from his work they were doing.

⁷ And now, O Jehovah my God, You have caused Your servant to reign instead of my father David. And I am a little man-child; I do not know to go out and to come in. ⁸ And Your servant is in the midst of Your people whom You have chosen, a numerous people that cannot be numbered or counted for multitude. ⁹ Also give to Your servant an understanding heart, to judge Your people to discern between good and evil. For who is able to judge this, Your great people? ¹⁰ And the word was good in the eyes of the Lord, that Solomon had asked this thing. ¹¹ And God said to him, Because you have asked this thing, and have not asked for yourself many days, nor asked riches for yourself, nor asked the life of your enemies, and have asked for discernment for yourself, to understand judgment, ¹² behold, I have done according to your words. Behold, I have given to you a wise and understanding heart, so that there was none like you before you, and after you none shall rise up like you.

¹² Only, may Jehovah give wisdom and understanding to you and command you as to Israel, even to keep the law of Jehovah your God;

¹⁰ Now give to me wisdom and knowledge, that I may go out and come in before this people; for who can judge this Your great people?

¹² But where shall wisdom be found? And where is the place of understanding? ¹³ Man does not know its value, nor is it found in the land of the living. ¹⁴ The deep says, It is not in me; and the sea says, It is not with me. ¹⁵ Pure gold cannot be given instead of it, and silver cannot be weighed as its price. ¹⁶ It cannot be weighed against the gold of Ophir, against precious onyx, or sapphire; ¹⁷ gold and crystal cannot be ranked with it, nor its exchange a vessel of fine gold. ¹⁸ Coral and rock crystal cannot be mentioned; yea, the getting of wisdom is above jewels. ¹⁹ The topaz of Ethiopia cannot be ranked with it; it cannot be weighed against pure gold. ²⁰ Where then does wisdom come from, and where is the place of understanding? ²¹ Yea, it is hidden from the eyes of all living, and concealed from the birds of the heavens; ²² the Place of Ruin and death say, We have heard its fame with our ears. ²³ God knows its way, and He knows its place. ²⁴ For He looks to the ends of the earth, and sees under all the heavens; ²⁵ making a weight for the winds and measuring out the waters by measure. ²⁶ When He made a decree for the rain, and a way for the flash, the thunderclap, ²⁷ then He saw it, and declared it; He prepared it, and He also searched it out. ²⁸ And to man He said, Behold, the fear of the Lord, that is wisdom! And to turn from evil is understanding.

³ For if you cry for discernment, lifting up your voice for understanding; ⁴ if you seek her as silver, and search for her as hidden treasures, ⁵ then you shall understand the fear of Jehovah and find knowledge of God. ⁶ For Jehovah gives wisdom; out of His mouth are knowledge and understanding.

⁵ Trust in Jehovah with all your heart, and lean not to your own understanding; ⁶ In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths. ⁷ Do not be wise in your own eyes; fear Jehovah and depart from evil.

⁴ The simple one, turn in here; and to one lacking heart, she says to him: ⁵ Come, eat of my bread, and drink of the wine I have mixed. ⁶ Forsake the foolish, and live, and go in the way of understanding.

⁶ Seek Jehovah while He may be found; call on Him while He is near. ⁷ Let the wicked forsake his way and the vain man his thoughts; and let him return to Jehovah, and He will have mercy on him; and to our God, for He will abundantly pardon.

⁶ Then I said, Ah, Lord Jehovah! Behold, I do not know how to speak for I am a boy. ⁷ But Jehovah said to me, Do not say, I am a boy; for you shall go to all that I shall send you. And whatever I command you, you shall speak.

¹² Then you shall call on Me, and you shall go and pray to Me, and I will listen to you. ¹³ And you shall seek and find Me when you search for Me with all your heart.

¹⁸ that they might pray for the mercies of God in Heaven about this secret, that Daniel and his companions should not perish with the rest of the wise men of Babylon. ¹⁹ Then the secret was revealed to Daniel in a night vision, and Daniel blessed the God of Heaven. ²⁰ Daniel answered and said, Blessed be the name of God forever and ever, for wisdom and might are His. ²¹ And He changes the times and the seasons; He causes to pass away kings, and sets up kings; He gives wisdom to the wise, and knowledge to those who know understanding. ²² He reveals the deep and secret things; He knows what is in the darkness, and the light dwells in Him.

⁷ Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. ⁸ For each one that asks receives, and the one that seeks finds; and to the one knocking, it will be opened. ⁹ Or what man of you is there, if his son should ask a loaf of him, will he give him a stone? ¹⁰ And if he should ask a fish, will he give him a snake? ¹¹ Therefore, if you, being evil. know to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in Heaven give good things to those that ask Him?

²⁰ Then He began to reproach the cities in which most of His powerful acts had occurred, for they did not repent.

¹⁴ Afterward, as they reclined, He was revealed to the Eleven. And He reproached their unbelief and hardness of heart, because they did not believe those who had seen Him, having been raised.

⁹ And I say to you, ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. ¹⁰ For everyone asking receives, and the one seeking finds, and to the one knocking, it will be opened. ¹¹ And what father of you, if the son asks for bread, will he give him a stone? And if a fish, will he give him a snake instead of a fish? ¹² And if he should ask an egg, will he give him a scorpion? ¹³ Then if you being evil know to give good gifts to your children, how much more the Father out of Heaven will give the Holy Spirit to those asking Him.

²⁰ And rising up, he came to his father. But he yet being far away, his father saw him and was moved with pity. And running, he fell on his neck and fervently kissed him. ²¹ And the son said to him, Father, I have sinned against Heaven and before you, and no longer am I worthy to be called your son. ²² But the father said to his slaves, Bring out the best robe and clothe him, and give a ring for his hand and sandals for his feet.

¹⁰ Jesus answered and said to her, If you knew the gift of God, and who is the One saying to you, Give Me to drink, you would have asked Him, and He would give you living water.

¹³ And whatever you may ask in My Name, this I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.

⁷ If you remain in Me, and My words remain in you, whatever you desire you will ask, and it shall happen to you.

²³ And in that day you will ask Me nothing. Truly, truly, I say to you, Whatever you shall ask the Father in My name, He will give you. ²⁴ Until now you asked nothing in My name; ask, and you will receive, so that your joy may be full.

¹⁶ to the one, an odor of death unto death, and to the other, an odor of life unto life. And who is sufficient for these things?

¹⁷ every act of good giving and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, with whom is no change or shadow of turning.

¹⁷ But the wisdom from above is firstly truly pure, then peaceable, forbearing, yielding, full of mercy and of good fruits, not partial and not pretended.

¹⁶ Confess faults to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous one has great strength, having been made effective.

²² And whatever we ask, we receive from Him, because we keep His commandments, and we do the things pleasing before Him.

¹⁴ And this is the confidence we have toward Him, that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. ¹⁵ And if we know that He hears us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the requests which we have asked from Him.

⁴ Like bubbling water you shall not excel, for you went up to the bed of your father; then you defiled it; he went up to my couch.

²¹ And answering, Jesus said to them, Truly I say to you, If you have faith and do not doubt, not only will you do the miracle of the fig tree, but even if you should say to this mountain, Be taken up and thrown into the sea, it will be so. ²² And all things, whatever you may ask in prayer, believing, you shall receive.

²² And answering, Jesus said to them, Have faith of God. ²³ For truly I say to you, Whoever says to this mountain, Be taken up and be thrown into the sea, and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that what he says will happen, it will be to him, whatever he says. ²⁴ Therefore I say to you, All things, whatever you ask, praying, believe that you will receive, and it will be to you.

¹⁴ so that we may no longer be infants, having been blown and carried to and fro by every wind of doctrine, in the underhandedness of men, in craftiness with a view to the trickery of error,

⁸ Therefore, I desire the men to pray in every place, lifting up holy hands without wrath and doubting.

²³ let us hold fast the confession of the hope without yielding, for He who has promised is faithful.

⁶ But without faith it is impossible to please God . For it is right that the one drawing near to God should believe that He is, and that He becomes a rewarder to the ones seeking Him out.

⁹ Do not be carried away by various and strange doctrine; for it is good that the heart be confirmed by grace, not by foods, in which those walking in them were not profited.

¹⁷ These are springs without water, clouds being driven by tempest, for whom the blackness of darkness is kept forever.

¹² These are sunken rocks in your love feasts, feasting together with you, feeding themselves without fear, waterless clouds being carried about by winds, fruitless autumn trees, having died twice, having been plucked up by the roots; ¹³ wild waves of the sea foaming up their shames, wandering stars for whom blackness of darkness has been kept forever.

⁸ The sacrifice of the wicked is a hateful thing to Jehovah, but the prayer of the upright is His delight.

²⁷ The sacrifice of the wicked is hateful, how much more when he brings it with an evil intent!

¹⁵ And when you spread out your hands, I will hide My eyes from you. Yea, when you multiply prayer, I will not hear. Your hands are full of blood.

³ They say, Why have we fasted, and You did not see? We have afflicted our soul, and You did not acknowledge. Behold, on the day of your fast you find pleasure; and you drive all your laborers hard. ⁴ Look! You fast for strife, and for debate, and to strike with the fist of wickedness. Do not fast as today, to sound your voice in the high place.

³ You ask, and do not receive, because you ask wrongly, in order that you may spend on your lusts.

²¹ And Elijah came near all the people and said, Until when are you limping over two opinions? If Jehovah is God, follow Him; and if Baal, follow him. But the people did not answer him a word.

³³ They feared Jehovah, and served their own gods, according to the custom of the nations from where they exiled them.

⁴¹ And it happened, these nations feared Jehovah, yet they served their graven images, both their sons and their sons' sons, As their fathers did, they are doing to this day.

¹³ And the Lord says, Because this people draws near with its mouth, and they honor Me with its lip; but its heart is far from Me, and their fear of Me is taught by the command of men;

⁸ Ephraim mixed himself among the peoples. Ephraim is a cake not turned. ⁹ Strangers have eaten up his strength, yet he does not know. Yea, gray hairs are sprinkled here and there on him, yet he does not know. ¹⁰ And the pride of Israel testifies to his face. And they do not return to Jehovah their God, nor seek Him in all this. ¹¹ Ephraim also is like a silly dove without heart; they call to Egypt; they go to Assyria.

² their heart is divided. Now they shall be guilty. He will break down their altars; He will spoil their pillars.

²² The lamp of the body is the eye. Then if your eye is sound, all your body is light.

²⁴ No one is able to serve two lords; for either he will hate the one, and he will love the other; or he will cleave to the one, and he will despise the other. You are not able to serve God and wealth.

⁸ Draw near to God, and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, sinners! And purify your hearts, double minded ones!

¹⁴ having eyes full of an adulteress, and never ceasing from sin; alluring unsettled souls; having a heart busied with covetousness; cursed children;

¹⁶ as also in all his epistles, speaking in them concerning these things, in which are some things hard to understand, which the unlearned and unsettled pervert, as also they do the rest of the Scriptures, to their own destruction.

⁷ If there is a poor man among you, one of your brothers inside any of your gates in your land which Jehovah your God is giving to you, you shall not harden your heart, nor shut your hand from your needy brother.

⁹ Beware that there is no evil thought in your heart, saying, The seventh year, the year of release draws near; and your eye be evil against your needy brother, and you give him nothing, and he cry to Jehovah against you and it be sin to you.

¹¹ For the poor will never cease from the midst of the land. On account of this I command you, saying, You shall surely open your hand to your poor and needy brother in your land.

⁸ He raised the poor from the dust; He lifts up the needy from the dunghill, to cause them to sit with nobles; yea, He caused them to inherit a throne of honor; for to Jehovah are the pillars of the earth; and He sets the habitable world on them.

⁹ Surely the sons of men are vanity, the sons of man are a lie; they go up in the scales; they are higher than vanity together.

⁷ He raises up the poor from the dust; He lifts the needy out of the dunghill; ⁸ in order to make him sit with nobles, with the nobles of his people.

⁵ Whoever scorns the poor reviles his Maker, he who rejoices at calamity shall not be innocent.

¹ The poor who walks in his integrity is better than he who is perverse in his lips, who is a fool.

²³ So says Jehovah, Do not let the wise glory in his wisdom, and do not let the mighty glory in his might. Do not let the rich glory in his riches. ²⁴ But let him who glories glory in this, that he understands and knows Me, that I am Jehovah, doing kindness, justice and righteousness in the earth; for I delight in these, says Jehovah.

⁵² He put down powerful ones from thrones, and exalted lowly ones.

⁴⁸ and said to them, Whoever receives this child on My name receives Me. And whoever receives Me receives Him who sent Me. For the one being least among you all, this one shall be great.

²⁰ But stop rejoicing in this, that the evil spirits submit to you. But rather rejoice that your names are written in Heaven.

² through whom also we have had access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and we glory on the hope of the glory of God. ³ And not only so, but we glory also in afflictions, knowing that affliction works out patience,

¹⁷ And if children, also heirs; truly heirs of God, and joint-heirs of Christ, if indeed we suffer together, that we may also be glorified together.

¹⁰ as sorrowful, yet always rejoicing; as poor, yet enriching many; as having nothing, yet possessing all things.

³ For we are the circumcision, the ones who worship by the Spirit of God, and who glory in Christ Jesus, and who do not trust in flesh.

¹⁴ I press on after the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.

⁵ Hear, my beloved brothers, did not God choose the poor of this world to be rich in faith, and heirs of the kingdom which He promised to the ones loving Him? ⁶ But you dishonored the poor one. Do not the rich ones oppress you, and they drag you to judgment seats?

⁹ But you are "an elect race," "a royal priesthood," "a holy nation," "a people for possession," so that "you may openly speak of the virtues" of the One who has called you out of darkness into His marvelous light; LXX-Ex. 23:22; MT-Ex. 19:5, 6

¹ See what manner of love the Father has given us, that we may be called children of God. For this reason the world does not know us, because it did not know Him. ² Beloved, now we are the children of God, and it was not yet revealed what we shall be. But we know that if He is revealed, we shall be like Him, because we shall see Him as He is. ³ And everyone having this hope on Him purifies himself even as that One is pure.

⁹ I know your works, and the affliction, and the poverty; but you are rich. And I know the evil speaking of those saying themselves to be Jews, and they are not, but are a synagogue of Satan.

⁹ And they sing a new song, saying, Worthy are You to receive the scroll, and to open its seals, because You were slain, and by Your blood purchased us to God out of every tribe and tongue and people and nation, ¹⁰ and made us kings and priests to our God; and we shall reign over the earth.

⁹ After these things I saw, and behold, a great crowd which no one was able to number them, out of every nation, even tribes and peoples and tongues standing in front of the throne, and before the Lamb, having been clothed with white robes, and palms in their hands. ¹⁰ And they cry with a great voice, saying, Salvation to our God sitting on the throne, and to the Lamb.

² He comes forth like a flower, and withers; he also flees as a shadow, and does not stand.

² for they soon wither like grass and fade like the green herb.

³⁵ I have seen the wicked ruthless, even spreading himself out like a luxuriant, native tree; ³⁶ yet he passed away, and, lo, he was not; and I looked for him, but he could not be found.

⁵ You flooded them away; they are as a sleep; in the morning they are like grass growing; ⁶ in the morning it sprouts and shoots up; in the evening it withers and dries up.

¹¹ My days are like a shadow stretched out, and I wither like grass.

¹⁵ As for man, his days are as grass; as the flower of the field, so he flourishes.

⁶ A voice said, Cry! And he said, What shall I cry? All flesh is grass, and all its grace as the flower of the field!

¹⁵ For so says the high and lofty One who inhabits eternity, and His name is Holy: I dwell in the high and holy place, even with the contrite and humble of spirit; to make live the spirit of the humble and to make live the heart of the contrite ones.

² And My hand has made all these things, even all these things exist, declares Jehovah. But I will look toward this one, to the afflicted, and to the contrite of spirit, even trembling at My word.

³ Blessed are the poor in spirit! For theirs is the kingdom of the Heavens.

³⁰ If God so enrobes the grass of the field (which is today, and is thrown into a furnace tomorrow) will He not much rather you, little-faiths?

³¹ and those using this world as not abusing it; for the mode of this world is passing away.

⁸ But, nay, rather I also count all things to be loss because of the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord, for whose sake I have suffered the loss of all things and count them to be trash, that I might gain Christ

¹⁷ Charge the rich in the present age not to be high-minded, nor to set hope on the uncertainty of riches, but in the living God, He offering to us richly all things for enjoyment;

¹⁴ who do not know of the morrow. For what is your life? For it is a mist, which for a little while appears, and then disappears.

²⁴ Because "all flesh is as grass, and all the glory of men as the flower of grass; the grass was dried, and its flower fell out,

¹⁷ And the world is passing away, and its lust. But the one doing the will of God abides forever.

²⁴ his sides are full of milk, and his bones are wet with marrow. ²⁵ And another dies with bitter soul, and never eats with pleasure; ²⁶ they lie down together on the dust, and the worms shall cover over them. ²⁷ Behold, I know your thoughts, and the plots you would wrongfully do against me; ²⁸ for you say, Where is the house of the noble, and where the tent, the dwellings of the wicked? ²⁹ Did you not ask those who go along the highway; and do you not know their signs? ³⁰ For the wicked is kept for the day of calamity; they shall be brought to the day of wrath.

⁶ Those who trust in their wealth, and in their many riches, boast themselves. ⁷ A man cannot at all redeem a brother, nor give to God a ransom for him, ⁸ for the redemption of their soul is precious, and it ceases forever, ⁹ for he shall yet live forever; he shall never see corruption. ¹⁰ For he sees wise men die; together the fool and the animal-like ones perish and leave their riches to others. ¹¹ Their inward thought is that their houses shall last forever, their dwelling-places to all generations; they call lands after their own names. ¹² But man shall not remain high in honor; he is like the animals; they shall be cut off. ¹³ This way of theirs is folly to them, yet their followers shall be pleased by their mouth. Selah. ¹⁴ Like sheep, they are appointed to Sheol; death shall reign for them; and upright ones shall rule over them in the morning; and their form is for rotting; Sheol is home for him.

¹⁸ Surely, You will set their feet in slippery places; You will make them fall into ruin. ¹⁹ How they are destroyed in a moment, swept away with terrors! ²⁰ Like a dream at the time from dreaming, O Lord, in awaking You will despise their image.

⁴ My heart is stricken and dried like grass, so that I forget to eat my bread.

¹⁵ As he came forth from his mother's womb naked, he shall return to go as he came. And from his labor he may not carry anything that may go in his hand.

¹ Woe to the crown of pride of the drunkards of Ephraim, whose glorious beauty is a fading flower on the head of the fat valley of those who are overcome with wine!

⁴ And the glorious beauty which is on the head of the fat valley shall be a fading flower, like the first ripe fig before summer which the seeing one sees; while it is yet in his hand, he swallows it.

⁷ The grass withers, the flower fades because the Spirit of Jehovah blows on it. Surely the people is grass. ⁸ The grass withers; the flower fades; but the word of our God shall rise forever.

¹⁰ They shall not hunger nor thirst; and the heat and sun shall not strike them. For He who has mercy on them shall lead them; and He shall guide them by the springs of water.

⁷ But God appointed a worm at the rising of the dawn of the next day, and it struck the plant, and it dried up. ⁸ And it happened when the sun shone, God had appointed a scorching east wind; and the sun struck Jonah's head, so that he fainted; and he asked for his life to die. And he said, Better is my death than my life.

⁶ And the sun rising, it was scorched; and because of having no root, it was dried up.

¹⁶ And He spoke a parable to them, saying, A certain rich man produced well from the land. ¹⁷ And he reasoned within himself, saying, What may I do, for I have nowhere I may gather my fruits? ¹⁸ And he said, I will do this; I will tear down my barns and I will build larger; and I will gather there all my produce and my goods. ¹⁹ And I will say to my soul, Soul, you have many goods laid up for many years; take rest, eat, drink, and be glad. ²⁰ But God said to him, Fool! This night they demand your soul from you; and that which you prepared, to whom will it be? ²¹ So is he treasuring up for himself, and not being rich toward God.

¹⁹ And there was a certain rich man; and he was accustomed to don a purple robe and fine linen, making merry in luxury day by day. ²⁰ And there was a certain poor one named Lazarus who had been laid at his porch, being plagued by sores, ²¹ and longing to be filled from the crumbs that were falling from the table of the rich one. But coming, even the dogs licked his sores. ²² And it happened, the poor one died and was carried away by the angels into the bosom of Abraham. And the rich one also died and was buried. ²³ And being in torments in Hell, lifting up his eyes, he sees Abraham afar off and Lazarus in his bosoms. ²⁴ And calling he said, Father Abraham, have pity on me and send Lazarus that he may dip the tip of his finger in water and cool my tongue, for I am suffering in this flame. ²⁵ But Abraham said, Child, remember that you fully received your good things in your lifetime, and Lazarus likewise the bad things. But now he is comforted, and you are suffering.

¹ Come now, rich ones, weep, howling over your hardships coming on. ² Your riches have rotted, and your garments have become moth-eaten. ³ Your gold and silver have rusted over, and their poison will be a testimony to you, and will eat your flesh as fire. You heaped treasure in the last days. ⁴ Behold, the wages of the workmen who have reaped your fields cry out, being kept back by you. And the cries of the ones who have reaped have entered "into the ears of the Lord of Hosts." Isa. 5:9 ⁵ You lived luxuriously on the earth, and lived in self gratification; you nourished your hearts as in a day of slaughter; ⁶ you condemned; you murdered the righteous; he does not resist you. ⁷ Therefore, brothers, be long-suffering until the coming of the Lord. Behold, the farmer waits for the precious fruit of the earth, being long-suffering over it until it may receive the early and the latter rain.

⁴ to an inheritance incorruptible and undefiled, and unfading, having been kept in Heaven for you

⁴ And at the appearing of the Chief Shepherd, you will receive the never fading crown of glory.

⁶ and doing kindness to thousands, to those loving Me, and to those keeping My commandments.

⁹ Because of this, know that Jehovah your God, He is God, the faithful God, keeping the covenant and mercy to those who love Him, and to those who keep His commands, to a thousand generations;

² And you shall remember all the way which Jehovah your God has caused you to go these forty years in the wilderness, in order to humble you, to try you, to know that which is in your heart, whether you will keep His commandments or not.

³ you shall not listen to the words of that prophet, or that dreamer of dreams. For Jehovah your God is testing you, to know if you love Jehovah your God with all your heart and with all your soul.

⁵ And I said, I beseech You, Jehovah God of Heaven, the great and awesome God, keeping the covenant and mercy to those loving Him, and to keepers of His commandments,

¹⁷ Behold, blessed is the man whom God corrects; and despise not the chastisement of the Almighty.

¹¹ But let all who put their trust in You rejoice; let them shout for joy forever, because You cover them. And let those who love Your name be joyful in You.

¹² Blessed is the man You chasten, O Jehovah, You teach him out of Your law;

⁶⁷ Before I was afflicted I went astray; but now I have kept Your word.

⁷¹ For my good for me that I was afflicted, to learn Your statutes.

⁷⁵ I know, O Jehovah, Your judgments are right; and in fidelity You afflicted me.

¹¹ My son, do not reject the chastening of Jehovah, and do not loathe His correction; ¹² for whom Jehovah loves He corrects, even as a father corrects the son with whom he is pleased.

³ The refining pot is for silver, and the furnace for gold, but Jehovah tries the hearts.

⁴ And from forever they have not heard; they did not give ear. Eye has not seen a God except You, who works for him who waits for Him.

⁹ And I will bring the third part through the fire, and I will refine them as silver is refined. And I will try them as gold is tried. They shall call on My name, and I will answer them. I will say, It is My people, and they shall say, Jehovah is my God.

² But who can endure the day of His coming? And who will stand when He appears? For He is like a refiner's fire and like fuller's soap. ³ And He shall sit as a refiner and purifier of silver; and He shall purify the sons of Levi and purge them like gold and like silver, that they may be presenters of a food offering in righteousness to Jehovah.

²⁸ And Jesus said to them, Truly I say to you, You who have followed Me, in the regeneration when the Son of man sits on the throne of His glory, you also will sit on twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel. ²⁹ And everyone who left houses, or brothers, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands, for My name's sake, shall receive a hundredfold, and shall inherit everlasting life.

³⁴ Then the King will say to those on His right, Come, the blessed of My Father. Inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world.

²⁸ But you are those continuing with Me in My temptation. ²⁹ And I appoint a kingdom to you, as My Father appointed to Me, ³⁰ that you may eat and drink at My table in My kingdom; and you will sit on thrones judging the twelve tribes of Israel.

⁷ everlasting life truly to those who with patience in good work are seeking glory and honor and incorruptibility; ⁸ but to those even disobeying the truth, out of self interest, and obeying unrighteousness, will be anger and wrath, ⁹ trouble and pain on every soul of man that works out evil, both of Jew first, and of Greek. ¹⁰ But glory and honor and peace will be to everyone that works out good, both to the Jew first, and to the Greek.

⁹ according as it has been written, "Eye has not seen, and ear has not heard," nor has it risen up into the heart of man, the things which God has prepared for those that love Him. Isa. 64:4

³ But if anyone loves God, he has been known by Him.

²⁵ But everyone striving controls himself in all things. Then those truly that they may receive a corruptible crown, but we an incorruptible.

⁸ For the rest, the crown of righteousness is laid up for me, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will give to me in that Day, and not only to me, but also to all the ones loving His appearance.

¹⁵ And so, being long-suffering, he obtained the promise.

³² But call to mind the former days in which being enlightened you endured much conflict of sufferings;

¹⁷ By faith, being tested, Abraham offered up Isaac; and he receiving the promises was offering up the only begotten,

⁵ And you have forgotten the exhortation which He speaks with you, as with sons, "My sons, do not despise the chastening of the Lord, nor faint while being corrected by Him.

² My brothers count it all joy when you fall into various trials, ³ knowing that the proving of your faith works patience. ⁴ But let patience have its perfective work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing.

⁵ Hear, my beloved brothers, did not God choose the poor of this world to be rich in faith, and heirs of the kingdom which He promised to the ones loving Him?

¹¹ Behold, we call those blessed who endure. You have heard of the patience of Job, and you saw the end of the Lord, "that the Lord is full of tender mercy and pity." Psa. 103:8

¹⁴ But if you truly suffer because of righteousness, blessed are you . "But do not fear their fear, nor be troubled.

¹³ but according as you share the sufferings of Christ, rejoice; so that you may rejoice exultingly at the revelation of His glory.

¹⁹ We love Him because He first loved us.

¹⁹ I, as many "as I love, I rebuke and I chasten." Be zealous, then, and repent. Prov. 3:12

²¹ The one overcoming, I will give to him to sit with Me in My throne, as I also overcame and sat with My Father in His throne.

¹² And the man said, The woman whom You gave to be with me, she has given to me of the tree, and I ate.

¹⁷ O Jehovah, why do You make us wander from Your ways? You harden our heart from Your fear. For Your servants' sake, return the tribes of Your inheritance.

¹² Woe to him who builds a town with blood and establishes a city by iniquity! ¹³ Behold, is it not for Jehovah of hosts that the people labor only for fire? Yea, nations weary themselves only for vanity.

¹⁹ You will then say to me, Why does He yet find fault? For who has resisted His will? ²⁰ Yes, rather, O man, who are you answering against God? Shall the thing formed say to the One forming it, Why did You make me like this? Isa. 29:16

² My brothers count it all joy when you fall into various trials,

⁵ And Jehovah saw that the evil of man was great on the earth, and every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil all the day long.

²¹ And Jehovah smelled the soothing fragrance, and Jehovah said in His heart, I will never again curse the ground for the sake of man, because the imagination of the heart of man is evil from his youth. Yea, I will not again smite every living thing as I have done;

²¹ When I saw among the spoil a goodly robe of Shinar, and two hundred shekels of silver, and a wedge of gold, one of fifty shekels in weight, then I lusted after them, and took them. And behold, they are hidden in the earth, in the middle of my tent, and the silver under it. ²² And Joshua sent messengers, and they ran to the tent; and behold, it was hidden in his tent, and the silver under it. ²³ And they took them out of the middle of the tent, and brought them to Joshua, and to all the sons of Israel, and laid them out before Jehovah. ²⁴ And Joshua, and all Israel with him, took Achan the son of Zerah, and the silver, and the robe, and the wedge of gold, and his sons, and his daughters, and his oxen, and his ass, and his flock, and his tent, and all that he had. And they made them go up to the valley of Achor.

² And it happened at evening time, David rose up from his bed and walked up and down on the roof of the king's house. And he saw from the roof a woman bathing. And the woman was very good of form. ³ And David sent and asked about the woman. And one said, Is this not Bathsheba, the daughter of Eliam, the wife of Uriah the Hittite?

² And Ahab spoke to Naboth, saying, Give me your vineyard, and it shall be a garden of green herbs for me, for it is near my house. And I will give to you in its place a better vineyard than it. If it is good in your eyes, I will give silver to you, the price of this one. ³ And Naboth said to Ahab, Far be it from me, by Jehovah, that I should give the inheritance of my fathers to you. ⁴ And Ahab came into his house sullen and angry over the word which Naboth the Jezreelite had spoken. For he had said, I will not give the inheritance of my fathers to you. And he lay on his bed and turned away his face, and would not eat food.

⁹ If my heart has been enticed by a woman; or I have laid wait at my neighbor's door,

²⁷ and my heart was secretly enticed. or my mouth has kissed my hand;

²³ Keep your heart with all diligence, for out of it are the issues of life.

²⁰ Feeding on ashes, a deceived heart turns him aside, and he does not deliver his soul, nor say, Is there not a lie in my right hand?

⁹ O Israel, you are destroyed, but your help is in Me.

²⁸ But I say to you, Everyone looking at a woman to lust after her has already committed adultery with her in his heart.

¹⁸ But the things which come out of the mouth come forth from the heart, and these defile the man.

²⁰ These things are the things defiling the man. But eating with unwashed hands does not defile the man.

²¹ For from within, out of the heart of men, pass out the evil thoughts, adulteries, fornications, murders, ²² thefts, greedy desires, iniquities, deceit, lustful desires, a wicked eye, blasphemy, pride, foolishness.

¹¹ for sin taking occasion through the commandment deceived me, and through it killed me .

¹³ Then that which is good, has it become death to me? Let it not be! But sin, that it might appear to be sin, having worked out death to me through the good, in order that sin might become excessively sinful through the commandment.

²² for you have put off the old man, as regards the former behavior, having been corrupted according to the deceitful lusts,

¹³ But exhort yourselves each day, as long as it is being called today, that not any of you be hardened by the deceit of sin.

¹ From where do wars and fightings among you come ? Is it not from this, from your lusts warring in your members? ² You desire greatly and do not have. You murder, and are jealous, and are not able to obtain. You fight and you war, and you do not have, because you do not ask God .

¹⁷ but of the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil you may not eat, for in the day that you eat of it, you shall surely die.

⁶ And the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and the tree was desirable to make one wise. And she took of its fruit and ate; and she also gave to her husband with her, and he ate.

¹⁷ And He said to the man, Because you have listened to the voice of your wife, and have eaten of the tree about which I commanded you, saying, You shall not eat from it, the ground shall be cursed because of you; you shall eat of it in sorrow all the days of your life. ¹⁸ And it shall bring forth thorns and thistles for you, and you shall eat the plant of the field. ¹⁹ By the sweat of your face you shall eat bread until your return to the ground. For you have been taken out of it; for you are dust, and to dust you shall return.

⁵ And He did not look to Cain and to his offering. And Cain glowed greatly with anger, and his face fell. ⁶ And Jehovah said to Cain, Why have you angrily glowed, and why has your face fallen? ⁷ If you do well, is there not exaltation? And if you do not do well, sin is crouching at the door; and its desire is toward you; but you should rule over it. ⁸ And Cain talked with his brother Abel. And it happened as they were in the field, Cain rose up against His brother Abel, and killed him.

³⁵ they conceive mischief and generate evil; and their belly prepares deceit.

¹⁴ Behold, he writhes with iniquity and he will conceive mischief: and he has fathered falsehood;

¹⁷ The wicked shall be turned to Sheol, all the nations forgetting God.

⁴ No one calls for righteousness; and no one pleads with truth. Trusting emptiness, and speaking vanity, they conceive mischief, and give birth to evil.

¹ Woe to those plotting wickedness and preparing evil on their beds! In the light of the morning they practice it, because it is in the power of their hand. ² And they covet and seize fields and houses, and carry them away. And they oppress a man and his household, even a man and his inheritance. ³ So Jehovah says this: Behold, I am plotting an evil against this family, from which you shall not remove your necks; nor shall you go exalted, for it is an evil time.

¹⁴ Then one of the twelve going to the chief priests, the one named Judas Iscariot,

⁴⁸ And the one betraying Him gave them a sign, saying, Whomever I may kiss, it is He; seize Him. ⁴⁹ And coming up at once to Jesus, he said, Hail, Rabbi. And he ardently kissed Him. ⁵⁰ But Jesus said to him, Friend, why are you here? Then coming up, they laid hands on Jesus and seized Him. ⁵¹ And, behold, one of those with Jesus, stretching out the hand, drew his sword and struck the slave of the high priest and took off his ear. ⁵² Then Jesus said to him, Put your sword back into its place. For all who take the sword shall perish by a sword. ⁵³ Or do you think that I am not able now to call on My Father, and He will place beside Me more than twelve legions of angels? ⁵⁴ How then should the Scriptures be fulfilled, that it must happen this way? ⁵⁵ In that hour, Jesus said to the crowds, Have you come out to take Me with swords and clubs, as against a robber? I sat with you daily teaching in the temple, and you did not lay hands on Me. ⁵⁶ But all this is happening that the Scriptures of the prophets may be fulfilled. Then all the disciples ran away, forsaking Him. ⁵⁷ And those who had seized Jesus led Him away to Caiaphas the high priest, where the scribes and the elders were assembled. ⁵⁸ And Peter followed Him from a distance, even to the court of the high priest. And going inside, he sat with the under-officers to see the end. ⁵⁹ And the chief priests and the elders and the whole sanhedrin looked for false testimony against Jesus, so that they might put Him to death,

¹ But a certain man named Ananias, with his wife Sapphira, sold a property, ² and kept back from the price, his wife also aware of it, and bringing a certain part, he put it at the feet of the apostles. ³ But Peter said, Ananias, why did Satan fill your heart for you to lie to the Holy Spirit and to secretly keep back from the price of the land?

¹² Because of this, even as sin entered the world through one man, and death through sin, so also death passed to all men, inasmuch as all sinned. ¹³ For sin was in the world until Law, but sin is not charged where there is no law; ¹⁴ but death reigned from Adam until Moses, even on those who had not sinned in the likeness of Adam's transgression, who is a type of the coming One . ¹⁵ But the free gift shall not be also like the offense. For if by the offense of the one the many died, much more the grace of God, and the gift in grace, which is of the one Man, Jesus Christ, did abound to the many. ¹⁶ And the gift shall not be as by one having sinned; for indeed the judgment was of one to condemnation, but the free gift is of many offenses to justification. ¹⁷ For if by the offense of the one death reigned through the one, much more those who are receiving the abundance of grace and the gift of righteousness shall rule in life by the One, Jesus Christ. ¹⁸ So then, as through one offense it was toward all men to condemnation, so also by one accomplished righteousness toward all men to justification of life. ¹⁹ For as through the one man's disobedience the many were constituted sinners, so also through the obedience of the One the many shall be constituted righteous. ²⁰ But Law came in beside, that the offense might abound. But where sin abounded, grace much more abounded, ²¹ that as sin ruled in death, so also grace might rule through righteousness to everlasting life, through Jesus Christ our Lord.

²¹ Therefore what fruit did you have then in the things over which you are now ashamed? For the end of those things is death. ²² But now being set free from sin, and being enslaved to God, you have your fruit unto sanctification, and the end everlasting life. ²³ For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is everlasting life in Christ Jesus our Lord.

¹⁴ And death and Hades were thrown into the Lake of Fire. This is the second death. ¹⁵ And if anyone was not found having been written in the Book of Life, he was thrown into the Lake of Fire.

²⁹ And answering, Jesus said to them, You err, not knowing the Scriptures nor the power of God.

²⁴ And answering, Jesus said to them, Do you not err because of this, not knowing the Scriptures nor the power of God?

²⁷ He is not the God of the dead, but God of the living. Therefore, you greatly err.

⁹ Or do you not know that unjust ones will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be led astray, neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor abusers, nor homosexuals,

⁷ Do not be deceived, God is not mocked. For whatever a man may sow, that he also will reap.

¹² So, then, my beloved, even as you always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much rather in my absence, cultivate your salvation with fear and trembling,

¹ So as, my brothers, ones loved and longed for, my joy and crown, so stand firm in the Lord, beloved ones.

⁴ And I say this that no one may beguile you with persuasive words.

⁸ Watch that there not be one robbing you through philosophy and empty deceit, according to the tradition of men, according to the elements of the world, and not according to Christ.

¹⁸ who missed the mark concerning the truth, saying the resurrection already has come, and overturn the faith of some.

¹ Let brotherly love continue.

¹⁹ So that, my beloved brothers, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath.

² and the earth being without form and empty, and darkness on the face of the deep, and the Spirit of God moving gently on the face of the waters, ³ then God said, Let light be! And there was light. ⁴ And God saw the light, that it was good, and God separated between the light and darkness. ⁵ And God called the light, Day. And He called the darkness, Night. And there was evening, and there was morning the first day.

¹⁴ And God said, Let luminaries be in the expanse of the heavens, to divide between the day and the night. And let them be for signs and for seasons, and for days and years. ¹⁵ And let them be for luminaries in the expanse of the heavens, to give light on the earth. And it was so.

¹⁶ And Joseph replied to Pharaoh, saying, Not I! God will answer the welfare of Pharaoh.

³⁸ And Pharaoh said to his servants, Can we find any man like this, in whom is the Spirit of God? ³⁹ And Pharaoh said to Joseph, Since God has taught you all this, there is no one wise and intelligent like you.

¹¹ And Jehovah said to him, Who has made man's mouth? Or who makes the dumb, or the deaf, or the seeing, or the blind? is it not I, Jehovah? ¹² And now go, and I will be with your mouth, and will teach you what you shall speak.

³ And I have filled him with the spirit of God in wisdom, and in intelligence, and in knowledge, and in all workmanship, ⁴ to devise designs, to work in gold and in silver and in bronze, ⁵ and in cutting of stones for finishings, and in carving of wood, to work in all workmanship. ⁶ And behold! I have given with him Aholiab the son of Ahisamach of the tribe of Dan; and in the heart of every wise-hearted one I have given wisdom; and they shall make all which I have commanded you:

¹ And Bezaleel and Aholiab shall work with everyone wise of heart to whom Jehovah has given wisdom and intelligence, to know how to do every work of the service of the sanctuary, concerning all which Jehovah had commanded. ² And Moses called to Bezaleel, and to Aholiab, and to everyone wise of heart, to whom Jehovah had given a heart of wisdom, everyone whose heart had lifted him up to come near the work, to do it.

¹⁷ And I shall come down and speak with you there; and I will take of the spirit which is upon you, and will put it on them; and they will bear the burden of the people with you, that you may not bear it yourself alone.

²⁵ And Jehovah came down in the cloud and spoke to him, and took of the spirit which was on him, and put it on the seventy men of the elders. And it happened, as the spirit rested on them, that they prophesied, but they did not continue.

¹⁹ God is not a man that He should lie, or a son of man that He should repent. Has He said, and shall He not do it? And has He spoken, and shall He not make it good?

¹⁹ and that you not lift up your eyes towards the heavens and shall see the sun, and the heavens, and you be drawn away and worship them, and serve them; which Jehovah your God has allotted to all the peoples under all the heavens.

²⁹ And also the Glory of Israel will not lie nor repent, for He is not a man that He should repent.

¹⁹ and give a perfect heart to my son Solomon, to keep Your commandments, Your testimonies, and Your statutes, and to do all, even to build this magnificent house, for which I have prepared.

¹¹ And God said to Solomon, Because this has been in your heart, that you have not asked riches, treasures, and honor, and the life of those who hate you, and also have not asked many days, but have asked wisdom and knowledge for yourself that you may judge My people, over whom I have made you reign; ¹² the wisdom and the knowledge are given to you, and riches, and treasures, and honor I will give to you, such as none of the kings who were before you has had, and after you it shall not be so.

¹ To the chief musician. A Psalm of David. The heavens are recording the glory of God, and the expanse proclaim His handiwork. ² Day by day they pour forth speech, and night to night reveals knowledge. ³ There is no speech, nor are there words where their voice is not heard. ⁴ Their measuring line has gone out through all the earth, and their words to the end of the world; in them He has set up a dwelling-place for the sun, ⁵ and he comes forth like a bridegroom from his canopy. He rejoices like a hero to run a race; ⁶ his going forth from the end of the heavens, and his orbit to their ends; and nothing is hidden from his heat. ⁷ The law of Jehovah is perfect, converting the soul. The testimony of Jehovah is sure, making the simple wise. ⁸ The precepts of Jehovah are right, rejoicing the heart; the commands of Jehovah are pure, giving light to the eyes.

¹¹ For Jehovah God is a sun and shield; Jehovah will give grace and glory; He will withhold nothing good from those who walk in integrity.

⁶ Pray for the peace of Jerusalem; those who love you shall prosper.

⁶ For Jehovah gives wisdom; out of His mouth are knowledge and understanding.

²⁶ And He instructs him for the right; his God teaches him.

⁷ forming light, and creating darkness; making peace, and creating evil.

¹⁰ declaring the end from the beginning, and from the past those things which were not done, saying, My purpose shall rise; and, I will do all My desire;

¹⁹ The sun shall not still be your light by day, or the brightness of the moon give you light; but Jehovah shall be for everlasting light to you, and your God for your beauty.

²⁷ Daniel replied before the king and said, The secret which the king has demanded cannot be shown to the king by the wise men, the conjurers, the horoscopists, or the fortunetellers. ²⁸ But there is a God in Heaven who reveals secrets, and makes known to king Nebuchadnezzar what shall be in the latter days. Your dream, and the visions of your head on your bed, are these: ²⁹ As for you, O king, your thoughts came on your bed, what should happen after this. And He who reveals secrets makes known to you what shall occur. ³⁰ But as for me, this secret is not revealed to me for any wisdom that I have more than any living man, but so that the meaning might be made known to the king, and that you might know the thoughts of your heart.

⁶ For I am Jehovah, I change not. Because of this, you sons of Jacob are not destroyed.

¹¹ Therefore, if you, being evil. know to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in Heaven give good things to those that ask Him?

²⁵ Answering at that time, Jesus said, I praise You, Father, Lord of Heaven and of Earth, because You hid these things from the sophisticated and cunning and revealed them to babes. ²⁶ Yes, Father, for so it was pleasing before You.

¹¹ And answering, He said to them, Because it has been given to you to know the mysteries of the kingdom of Heaven, but it has not been given to those. ¹² For whoever has, to him will be given, and he will have overabundance. But whoever does not have, even what he has will be taken from him.

¹³ Then if you being evil know to give good gifts to your children, how much more the Father out of Heaven will give the Holy Spirit to those asking Him.

⁹ He was the true Light; He enlightens every man coming into the world.

²⁷ John answered and said, A man is able to receive nothing unless it has been given to him from Heaven.

¹² Then Jesus again spoke to them, saying, I am the Light of the world. The one following Me will in no way walk in the darkness, but will have the light of life.

³¹ This One God has exalted as a Ruler and Savior to His right hand, to give to Israel repentance and remission of sins.

¹⁸ And hearing these things, they kept silent and glorified God, saying, Then God also has granted to the nations repentance unto life.

²³ For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is everlasting life in Christ Jesus our Lord.

²⁹ For the free gifts and the calling of God are without repentance. ³⁰ For as you then also disobeyed God, but now have obtained mercy by the disobedience of these,

⁶ but having different gifts according to the grace given to us, whether prophecy, according to the proportion of faith; ⁷ or ministry, in the ministry; or the one teaching, in the teaching; ⁸ or the one exhorting, in the encouragement; the one sharing, in simplicity; the one taking the lead, in diligence; the one showing mercy, in cheerfulness.

⁷ For who makes you to differ? And what do you have that you did not receive? And if you received it, why do you boast as if you did not receive?

⁴ And there are differences of gifts, but the same Spirit; ⁵ and there are differences of ministries, yet the same Lord. ⁶ And there are differences of workings, but the same God is working all things in all. ⁷ And to each one is given the showing forth of the Spirit to our profit. ⁸ For through the Spirit is given to one a word of wisdom, and to another a word of knowledge, according to the same Spirit; ⁹ and to another, faith by the same Spirit, and to another, gifts of healing by the same Spirit, ¹⁰ and to another, workings of powers, and to another, prophecy, and to another, discerning of spirits, and to another, kinds of languages, and to another, interpretation of languages. ¹¹ But the one and the same Spirit works all these things, distributing separately to each as He wills. ¹² Even as the body is one, and has many members, but all the members of the one body, being many, are one body, so also is Christ.

⁶ Because it is God who said, "Out of darkness Light shall shine," who shone in our hearts to give the brightness of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ. Isa. 42:6, 7, 16

¹⁸ the eyes of your mind having been enlightened, for you to know what is the hope of His calling, and what the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints,

³ among whom we also all conducted ourselves in times past in the lusts of our flesh, doing the things willed of the flesh and of the understandings, and were by nature the children of wrath, even as the rest. ⁴ But God, being rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, ⁵ even we being dead in sins, He made us alive together with Christ (by grace you are being saved),

⁸ For by grace you are saved, through faith, and this not of yourselves; it is the gift of God;

⁸ Because of this, He says, "Having gone up on high, He led captivity captive," and gave "gifts to men." Psa. 68:18 ⁹ But that He went up, what is it except that He also first came down into the lower parts of the earth? ¹⁰ He that came down is the same who also went up above all the heavens, that He might fill all things. ¹¹ And indeed He gave some to be apostles; and some prophets; and some evangelists; and some pastors and teachers;

³ For we also once were senseless, disobedient, led astray, slaving for various lusts and pleasures, living in malice and envy, hateful, hating one another. ⁴ But when the kindness and love of God our Savior toward man appeared, ⁵ not by works in righteousness which we had done, but according to His mercy, He saved us through the washing of regeneration and renewal of the Holy Spirit,

¹¹ They will vanish away, but You will continue; and they will all become old, like a garment, ¹² and You shall fold them up like a covering, and they shall be changed. But You are the same, and Your years shall not fail." LXX-Psa. 101:26-28, MT-Psa. 102:25-27

⁸ Jesus Christ, the same yesterday and today and forever.

¹⁵ This is not the wisdom coming down from above, but is earthly, beastly, devilish.

⁵ And this is the message which we have heard from Him, and we announce to you: God is light, and no darkness is in Him, none!

¹⁰ In this is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us, and sent His Son to be a propitiation relating to our sins.

¹¹ And this is the witness: that God gave us everlasting life, and this life is in His Son. ¹² The one having the Son has life. The one not having the Son of God does not have life.

²³ And the city had no need of the sun, nor of the moon, that they might shine in it, for the glory of God illuminated it, even its lamp is the Lamb.

⁵ And night will not be there; and they have no need of a lamp or a light of the sun, because the Lord God will shed light on them. And they shall reign forever and ever.

¹⁰ Speak to the sons of Israel, and you shall say to them, When you come in to the land which I am giving to you, and have reaped its harvest, and have brought in the sheaf, or the beginning of your harvest, to the priest,

³ Israel was holy to Jehovah, the firstfruits of His increase. All that devour him become guilty; evil shall come on them, declares Jehovah.

¹ Woe to those at ease in Zion, and those trusting in the mountain of Samaria, those noted as the leader of the nations! And the house of Israel came to them.

¹³ who were born not of bloods, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but were born of God.

³ Jesus answered and said to him, Truly, truly, I say to you, if one does not receive birth from above, he is not able to see the kingdom of God. ⁴ Nicodemus said to Him, How is a man able to be born, being old? He is not able to enter into his mother's womb a second time and be born? ⁵ Jesus answered, Truly, truly, I say to you, if one does not receive birth out of water and Spirit, he is not able to enter into the kingdom of God.

¹⁷ according as it has been written, "I have appointed you a father of many nations;" before God, whom he believed, the One making the dead live, and calling the things that are not as if they were. Gen. 17:5

²⁹ because whom He foreknew, He also predestinated to be conformed to the image of His Son, for Him to be the First-born among many brothers. ³⁰ But whom He predestinated, these He also called; and whom He called, these He also justified; but whom He justified, these He also glorified. ³¹ What then shall we say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?

¹⁵ For He said to Moses, "I will have mercy on whomever I will have mercy, and I will pity whomever I will pity." Ex. 33:19 ¹⁶ So, then, it is not of the one willing, nor of the one running, but of the One showing mercy, of God. ¹⁷ For the Scripture says to Pharaoh, "For this very thing I raised you up, so that I might show forth My power in you, and so that My name might be publicized in all the earth." Ex. 9:16 ¹⁸ So, then, to whom He desires, He shows mercy. And to whom He desires, He hardens.

¹⁵ For if you should have myriads of teachers in Christ, yet not many fathers; for I fathered you in Christ Jesus through the gospel.

¹² for us to be to the praise of His glory, the ones who had previously trusted in Christ;

²⁰ and through Him making peace by the blood of His cross, to reconcile all things to Himself; through Him, whether the things on the earth, or the things in the heavens. ²¹ And you then being alienated and enemies in your mind by evil works, yet now He reconciled

¹³ But we ought to thank God always concerning you, brothers, beloved by the Lord, because God chose you from the beginning to salvation in sanctification of the Spirit and belief of the truth, ¹⁴ to which He called you through our gospel, to obtain the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ.

²³ and to an assembly, a church of the first-born ones having been enrolled in Heaven; and to God the judge of all, and to spirits of just ones who have been perfected;

²¹ On account of this, having put aside all filthiness and overflowing of evil, in meekness receive the implanted Word being able to save your souls.

³ Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, He according to His great mercy having regenerated us to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,

²³ having been born again, not by corruptible seed, but incorruptible, through the living word of God, and remaining forever.

⁹ Everyone who has been begotten of God does not sin, because His seed abides in him, and he is not able to sin, because he has been born of God.

⁴ These are the ones who were not defiled with women, for they are virgins. These are the ones following the Lamb wherever He may go. These were redeemed from among men as a firstfruit to God and to the Lamb.

² And Ezra the priest brought the Law before the congregation, both of men and women, and all that could hear with understanding, on the first day of the seventh month. ³ And he read in it before the plaza before the Water Gate, from the morning until noon, before the men and the women, and those who could understand. And the ears of all the people listened to the Book of the Law.

¹² And all the people went to eat, and to drink, and to send portions, and to make great rejoicing, because they had understood the words which were made known to them. ¹³ And on the second day the chief of the fathers of all the people, the priests, and the Levites, were gathered to Ezra the scribe even to understand the words of the Law. ¹⁴ And they found written in the Law which Jehovah had commanded by Moses, that the sons of Israel should dwell in booths in the feast of the seventh month:

¹⁸ Also day by day, from the first day until the last day, he read in the Book of the Law of God. And they made the feast seven days, and on the eighth day was an assembly according to the Law.

³ And they stood up in their place and read in the Book of the Law of Jehovah their God a fourth part of the day. And a fourth part they confessed and worshiped Jehovah their God.

¹⁷ And they refused to obey, and were not mindful of Your wonders which You did among them. But they hardened their necks, and in their rebellion appointed a leader to return them to their bondage. But You are a God ready to pardon, gracious and merciful, slow to anger, and of great kindness, and did not forsake them.

³² And now listen to me, O sons, for blessed are those who keep my ways. ³³ Hear instruction, and be wise, and do not refuse it. ³⁴ Blessed is the man listening to me, watching daily at my gates, waiting at the posts of my doors. ³⁵ For whoever finds me finds life, and he shall obtain favor from Jehovah.

¹⁹ In the abundance of words transgression does not cease, but one restraining his lips is prudent.

³ He who guards his mouth keeps his life; he who opens his lips wide is ruined.

¹⁷ He who is short of temper acts foolishly; and a man of evil plots is hated.

²⁹ One slow to anger is of great understanding, but he who is short of spirit exalts folly.

² The tongue of the wise uses knowledge rightly, but the mouth of fools pours out foolishness.

¹⁸ A furious man stirs up quarreling, but he who is slow to anger calms fighting.

³² One slow to anger is better than the mighty, and he who rules his spirit than he who takes a city.

¹⁴ The beginning of strife is like the releasing of water, therefore leave off fighting before it breaks out.

²⁷ He who restrains his words knows knowledge, and one rare of spirit is a man of understanding.

¹³ If one rejects a matter before he hears, it is folly and shame to him.

²¹ Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it shall eat its fruit.

¹¹ A man's discretion makes his anger slow, and his glory is to pass over a transgression.

¹⁹ A man great of fury will have to pay the fine, for if you deliver him, then you must do it again.

²³ Whoever keeps his mouth and his tongue keeps his soul from distresses.

²⁸ A man to whom there is no control to his spirit is like a broken down city without a wall.

¹ Guard your feet when you go to the house of God, and draw near to hear, more than to give a sacrifice, as do the fools. For they do not know that they are doing evil. ² Do not be hasty with your mouth, and do not let your heart hurry to bring forth a word before God. For God is in Heaven, and you are on earth; on account of this, let your words be few. ³ For the dream comes through the greatness of the task; and the voice of the fool is known by the multitude of words.

⁸ Better is the end of a thing than its beginning; the patient in spirit is better than the proud in spirit. ⁹ Do not be hasty in your spirit to be angry; for vexation rests in the bosom of fools.

²² But I say to you, Everyone who is angry with his brother without a cause shall be liable to the Judgment. And whoever says to his brother, Raca, shall be liable to the sanhedrin; but whoever says, Fool! shall be liable to be thrown into the fire of Hell.

² And at once many were gathered, so as none any longer had room, not even to the door. And He spoke the Word to them.

³⁷ Then David himself calls Him Lord. And from where is He his son? And the large crowd heard Him gladly.

¹ And all the tax collectors and sinners were coming near to Him, to hear Him.

⁴⁸ And they did not find what they might do; for all the people hung on Him, listening.

⁴² And they were continuing steadfastly in the doctrine of the apostles, and in fellowship, and in the breaking of bread, and in prayers.

³³ Then at once I sent to you, and you did well to come. Now then, we are all present before God to hear all the things having been commanded you by God.

⁴² But the Jews having gone out of the synagogue, the nations begged that these words be spoken to them on the next sabbath. ⁴³ And the synagogue being broken up, many of the Jews and of the devout proselytes followed Paul and Barnabas, who speaking to them persuaded them to continue in the grace of God. ⁴⁴ And in the coming sabbath, almost all the city was gathered to hear the Word of God.

⁴⁸ And hearing, the nations rejoiced and glorified the Word of the Lord. And as many as had been appointed to eternal life believed.

¹¹ And these were more noble than those in Thessalonica, for they received the Word with all readiness, daily examining the Scriptures if these things are so .

²⁰ idolatry, sorcery, hatreds, fightings, jealousies, angers, rivalries, divisions, heresies, ²¹ envyings, murders, drunkennesses, wild parties, and things like these; of which I tell you beforehand, as I also said before, that the ones practicing such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.

²⁶ "Be angry but do not sin;" do not let the sun go down on your wrath, LXX-Psa. 4:4; MT-Psa. 4:5

³¹ Let all bitterness, and anger, and wrath, and tumult, and evil speaking be put away from you, along with all evil things.

⁸ But now, you also, put off all these things: wrath, anger, malice, evil-speaking, shameful speech out of your mouth.

¹⁵ And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to which you also were called in one body, and be thankful.

¹³ And because of this we give thanks to God without ceasing, that having received the Word of hearing from us, you welcomed it as of God, not as a word of men, but as it is, truly the Word of God, which also works in you, the ones believing.

²⁶ If anyone thinks to be religious among you, yet not bridling his tongue, but deceiving his heart, this one's religion is vain.

¹ My brothers do not be many teachers, knowing that we will receive greater judgment. ² For we all stumble in many ways . If any one does not stumble in word, this one is a mature man, able also to bridle the whole body.

²¹ I did not write to you because you do not know the truth, but because you know it, and because every lie is not of the truth.

¹¹ And Moses lifted up his hand and smote the rock with his rod twice; and much water came out; and the congregation and their animals drank. ¹² And Jehovah said to Moses and Aaron, Because you did not believe in Me, to sanctify Me before the eyes of the sons of Israel, therefore you shall not bring in this congregation to the land which I have given to them.

²⁴ But a slave of the Lord ought not to quarrel, but to be gentle towards all, apt to teach, forbearing, ²⁵ in meekness teaching those who have opposed, if perhaps God may give them repentance for a full knowledge of the truth,

¹⁷ But the wisdom from above is firstly truly pure, then peaceable, forbearing, yielding, full of mercy and of good fruits, not partial and not pretended. ¹⁸ And the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace for the ones making peace.

⁹ He will guide the meek in justice; and He will teach the meek His way.

²⁰ ln that day a man shall throw his silver and his golden idols which they made for him to worship, to the hole of the burrower and to the bats;

¹⁹ And the humble ones shall increase joy in Jehovah, and the poor among men shall rejoice in the Holy One of Israel.

²² And you shall defile the covering of your carved images of silver; and the covering of your molten images of gold. You shall cast them out like a menstruous cloth; you shall say to it, Go away!

¹ The Spirit of the Lord Jehovah is on Me, because Jehovah has anointed Me to preach the gospel to the meek. He has sent Me to bind up the broken-hearted, to proclaim liberty to captives, and complete opening to the bound ones;

³¹ Cast away all your transgressions from you by which you have transgressed in them, and make for yourselves a new heart and a new spirit; for why will you die, O house of Israel?

²⁵ Then I will sprinkle clean waters on you, and you shall be clean. I will cleanse you from all your defilement and from all your idols.

³ Seek Jehovah, all the meek of the earth who have done His justice; seek righteousness; seek meekness. It may be you shall be hidden in the day of the anger of Jehovah.

⁵ Blessed are the meek! For they shall inherit the earth. Psa. 37:11

⁶³ It is the Spirit that gives life. The flesh does not profit, nothing! The words which I speak to you are spirit and are life.

⁶⁸ Then Simon Peter answered Him, Lord, to whom shall we go? You have the words of everlasting life.

²⁶ Men, brothers, sons of the race of Abraham, and the ones among you fearing God, to you the word of this salvation was sent.

¹⁶ For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation to everyone believing, both to Jew first, and to Greek;

¹⁷ But thanks be to God that you were slaves of sin, but you obeyed from the heart the form of doctrine to which you were delivered.

¹⁷ But if some of the branches were broken off, and you, being a wild olive tree were grafted in among them, and became a sharer of the root and the fatness of the olive tree,

¹² The night is far gone, and the day has drawn near; then let us cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the weapons of the light. ¹³ Let us walk becomingly, as in the day, not in carousings and drunkennesses, not in co-habitation and lustful acts, not in fighting and envy.

² by which you also are being kept safe, if you hold fast the word which I preached to you, unless you believed in vain.

¹ Then having these promises, beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all defilements of flesh and of spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God.

¹³ in whom also you, hearing the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation, in whom also believing you were sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise,

⁴ also baseness, and foolish talking, or joking (the things not becoming), but rather thanksgiving.

⁵ Then put to death your members which are on the earth: fornication; uncleanness; passion; evil lust; and covetousness, which is idolatry; ⁶ on account of which things the wrath of God is coming on the sons of disobedience, ⁷ among whom you also walked at one time, when you were living in these. ⁸ But now, you also, put off all these things: wrath, anger, malice, evil-speaking, shameful speech out of your mouth.

⁵ For our gospel did not come to you in word only, but also in power, and in the Holy Spirit, and in much assurance, even as you know what kind we were among you for your sake.

¹⁵ and that from a babe you know the Holy Scriptures, those being able to make you wise to salvation through belief in Christ Jesus. ¹⁶ Every Scripture is God-breathed and profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, ¹⁷ so that the man of God may be perfected, fully furnished for every good work.

¹¹ For the saving grace of God has appeared to all men,

³ how shall we escape if we neglect so great a salvation? Which having received a beginning to be spoken through the Lord, was confirmed to us by the ones hearing,

² For, indeed, we have had the gospel preached to us, even as they also; but the word did not profit those hearing it, not having been mixed with faith in the ones who heard.

⁹ obtaining the end of your faith, the salvation of your souls.

¹ Then having laid aside all malice, and all guile, and hypocrisies, and envies, and all evil words,

¹¹ Beloved, I exhort you as temporary residents and pilgrims to abstain from fleshly lusts which war against the soul;

³ The pride of your heart has deceived you, dwelling in the clefts of the rock; his dwelling is lofty, saying in his heart, Who shall bring me down to the ground?

²¹ Not everyone who says to Me, Lord, Lord, will enter into the kingdom of Heaven, but the ones who do the will of My Father in Heaven. ²² Many will say to Me in that day, Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in Your name, and in Your name cast out demons, and in Your name do many works of power? ²³ And then I will declare to them, I never knew you; "depart from Me, those working lawlessness!" Psa. 6:8 ²⁴ Then everyone who hears these words from Me, and does them, I will compare him to a wise man who built his house on the rock; ²⁵ and the rains came down, and the rivers came up, and the winds blew, and fell against that house; but it did not fall, for it had been founded on the rock. ²⁶ And everyone who hears these words of Mine, and who does not do them, he shall be compared to a foolish man who built his house on the sand; ²⁷ and the rain came down, and the rivers came up, and the winds blew and beat against that house; and it fell, and great was the fall of it.

⁵⁰ For whoever shall do the will of My Father in Heaven, that one is My brother and sister and mother.

²⁰ teaching them to observe all things, whatever I commanded you. And, behold, I am with you all the days until the completion of the age. Amen.

⁴⁶ And why do you call Me Lord, Lord, and do not do what I say? ⁴⁷ Everyone coming to Me and hearing My words, and doing them, I will show you to whom he is like: ⁴⁸ He is like a man building a house, who dug and deepened, and laid a foundation on the rock. And a flood having occurred, the stream burst against that house and could not shake it, for it had been founded on the rock.

²⁸ But He said, No; rather, blessed are those hearing the Word of God, and keeping it.

⁴⁷ But that slave knowing the will of his Lord, and not preparing, nor doing according to His will, will be beaten with many stripes . ⁴⁸ But he not knowing, and doing things worthy of stripes, will be beaten with few. And everyone given much, much will be demanded from him. And to whom much was deposited, more exceedingly they will ask of him.

¹⁷ If you know these things, blessed are you if you do them.

¹³ For not the hearers of the Law are just with God, but the doers of the Law shall be justified.

¹⁸ Let no one deceive himself, if anyone thinks to be wise among you in this age, let him become foolish, that he may become wise.

³³ Do not be led astray; bad companionships ruin good habits.

³ For if anyone thinks to be something, he deceives himself, being nothing.

⁸ For the rest, brothers, whatever is true, whatever honorable, whatever is right, whatever pure, whatever lovely, whatever of good report, if of any virtue, and if of any praise, think on these things.

¹⁷ And everything, whatever you do in word or in work, do all things in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father through Him.

¹³ But evil men and pretenders will go forward to worse, leading astray and being led astray.

³ For we also once were senseless, disobedient, led astray, slaving for various lusts and pleasures, living in malice and envy, hateful, hating one another.

¹⁴ My brothers, what is the gain if anyone says he has faith, but he does not have works? Is faith able to save him? ¹⁵ But if a brother or a sister is naked and may be lacking in daily food, ¹⁶ and any one of you say to them, Go in peace, be warmed and filled, but does not give them the things the body needs, what gain is it ? ¹⁷ So also faith, if it does not have works, is dead being by itself. ¹⁸ But someone will say, You have faith, and I have works. Show me your faith apart from your works, and I will show you my faith out of my works. ¹⁹ You believe that God is one. You do well; even the demons believe and shudder. ²⁰ But are you willing to know, O vain man, that faith apart from works is dead?

¹⁷ Therefore, to anyone knowing to do good, and not doing it, it is sin to him.

¹³ being about to receive the wages of unrighteousness, having deemed indulgence in the day to be pleasure; spots and blemishes reveling in their deceits, feasting along with you,

⁸ If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.

³ And by this we know that we have known Him, if we keep His commands.

⁷ Little children, let no one lead you astray; the one practicing righteousness is righteous, even as that One is righteous.

¹¹ Beloved, do not imitate the bad, but the good. The one doing good is of God; but the one doing bad has not seen God.

⁹ And the great dragon was cast out, the old serpent being called Devil, and, Satan; he deceiving the whole habitable world was cast out onto the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.

⁷ Behold, I am coming quickly. Blessed is the one keeping the words of the prophecy of this Book.

¹⁶ As for the word that you have spoken to us in the name of Jehovah, we will not listen to you.

³¹ And they come to you as people come, and they sit before you as My people. And they hear your words, but they do not do them. For they produce much love with their mouth, but their heart goes after their unjust gain. ³² And, behold, you are to them as a singer of love songs with a beautiful voice, and playing well on an instrument. For they hear your words, but they are not doing them.

⁷ And the scribes and the Pharisees kept close by Him, to see if He would heal on the sabbath, so that they might find a charge against Him.

⁴⁷ Everyone coming to Me and hearing My words, and doing them, I will show you to whom he is like:

Gen. 15:6; Isa. 41:8 ²⁴ You see, then, that a man is justified out of works, and not out of faith only. ²⁵ But in the same way Rahab the harlot was also justified out of works, having received the messengers, and sending them out by another way. ²⁶ For as the body is dead apart from the spirit, so also faith is dead apart from works.

¹⁸ And he said to Zebah and to Zalmunna, How were the men whom you killed in Tabor? And they said, As you are, so they; each one as a king's son in appearance.

²⁷ And the men marveled, saying, What kind of man is this, that even the winds and the sea obey Him?

⁶⁶ And all who heard laid them up in their hearts, saying, What then will this child be? And the hand of the Lord was with him.

³⁹ But seeing, the Pharisee who invited Him spoke within himself, saying, This one, if he were a prophet, would have known who and what the woman who touches him is; for she is a sinner.

¹¹ Then all these being about to be dissolved, what sort ought you to be in holy behavior and godliness,

¹⁴ If you will fear Jehovah and serve Him, and listen to His voice, and do not rebel against the mouth of Jehovah, then you, both you and also the king who reigns over you, shall follow Jehovah your God.

⁷ The law of Jehovah is perfect, converting the soul. The testimony of Jehovah is sure, making the simple wise. ⁸ The precepts of Jehovah are right, rejoicing the heart; the commands of Jehovah are pure, giving light to the eyes. ⁹ The fear of Jehovah is clean, enduring forever; the judgments of Jehovah are true, they are righteous altogether. ¹⁰ They are more precious than gold, even much fine gold, and sweeter than honey and drops from the honeycomb. ¹¹ Also Your servant is warned by them; in keeping of them is great reward.

³ Blessed are those keeping judgment, he who does righteousness in every season.

² Blessed are those keeping His testimonies, who seek Him with the whole heart. ³ They also do not work evil; they walk in His way.

³² I will run the way of Your commands, for You shall enlarge my heart.

⁴⁵ And I will walk in a wide space, for I seek Your commands.

⁹⁶ I have seen an end to all perfection; Your command is exceedingly broad. ⁹⁷ Mem. Oh how I love Your law! It is my meditation all the day. ⁹⁸ You make me wiser than my enemies by Your commands; for they are forever mine. ⁹⁹ I have more wisdom than all my teachers; for Your testimonies are a meditation to me. ¹⁰⁰ I understand more than the aged, for I keep Your precepts. ¹⁰¹ I have kept my feet from every evil way, to keep Your word. ¹⁰² I turned not from Your judgments; for You have taught me. ¹⁰³ How sweet are Your words to my palate! More than honey to my mouth! ¹⁰⁴ By Your precepts I know; so then I hate every false way. ¹⁰⁵ Nun. Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.

¹⁵ The simple believes every word, but the wise considers his step.

²⁰ To the law and to the testimony! If they do not speak according to this word, it is because there is no dawn to them!

³¹ Then Jesus said to the Jews who had believed in Him, If you continue in My Word, you are truly My disciples. ³² And you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.

³⁶ Therefore, if the Son sets you free, you are free indeed.

⁹ As the Father loved Me, I also loved you; continue in My love. ¹⁰ If you keep My commandments you will continue in My love, as I have kept My Father's commandments and continue in His love.

²² Then obtaining help from God, I stand until this day, witnessing both to small and to great, saying nothing else than what the prophets and Moses also said was going to happen:

⁷ everlasting life truly to those who with patience in good work are seeking glory and honor and incorruptibility; ⁸ but to those even disobeying the truth, out of self interest, and obeying unrighteousness, will be anger and wrath,

¹² So indeed the law is holy, and the commandment holy and just and good.

²² For I delight in the law of God according to the inward man; ²³ but I see another law in my members having warred against the law of my mind, and taking me captive by the law of sin being in my members.

¹⁵ For you did not receive a spirit of slavery again to fear, but you received a Spirit of adoption by which we cry, Abba! Father!

²² Behold, then, the kindness and severity of God: On those having fallen, severity. But on you, kindness, if you continue in the kindness. Otherwise, you will also be cut off.

⁵⁸ So that, my beloved brothers, you be firm, immovable, abounding in the work of the Lord always, knowing that your labor is not without fruit in the Lord.

¹⁷ And the Lord is the Spirit; and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom. ¹⁸ But we all with our face having been unveiled, having beheld the glory of the Lord in a mirror, are being changed into the same image from glory to glory, as from the Lord Spirit.

⁵ Examine yourselves, whether you are in the faith, prove yourselves. Or do you not yourselves perceive that Jesus Christ is in you, unless you are reprobates?

⁴ But it was because of those false brothers stealing in, who stole in to spy on our freedom which we have in Christ Jesus, they desiring to enslave us,

¹ Then stand firm in the freedom with which Christ made us free and do not be held again with a yoke of slavery.

²³ if indeed you continue in the faith grounded and settled and not being moved away from the hope of the gospel which you heard proclaimed in all the creation under Heaven, of which I, Paul, became a minister.

¹⁵ but she will be kept safe through the childbearing, if they continue in faith and love and holiness, with sensibleness.

¹⁶ Give attention to yourself and to the doctrine; continue in them, for doing this, you will both deliver yourself and those hearing you.

¹⁵ watching diligently that not any lack from the grace of God, that "no root of bitterness growing up" may crowd "in on you ", and through this many be defiled; Deut. 29:18

²³ Because if anyone is a hearer of the Word, and not a doer, this one is like a man studying his natural face in a mirror; ²⁴ for he studied himself, and has gone away, and immediately he forgot of what kind he was.

¹² So speak and so do as being about to be judged by the law of liberty.

¹⁶ as free, and not having freedom as a cover of evil, but as slaves of God;

²⁴ Then what you heard from the beginning, let it abide in you. If what you heard from the beginning abides in you, you will abide both in the Son and in the Father.

¹³ And I heard a voice out of Heaven saying to me, Write: Blessed are the dead, the ones dying in the Lord from now. Yes, says the Spirit, they shall rest from their labors, and their works follow with them.

¹⁴ Blessed are the ones doing His commands, that their authority will be over the Tree of Life, and by the gates they may enter into the city.

¹⁶ Take heed to yourselves, that your heart not be deceived, and you turn aside and serve other gods, and bow down to them;

⁹ Be not like the horse, like the mule, with no understanding; with bit and bridle, his gear, to be held in, that they do not come near you.

¹³ Keep your tongue from evil, and your lips from speaking guile;

¹ To the chief musician, to Jeduthun. A Psalm of David. I said, I will keep my ways from sinning with my tongue; I will keep my mouth with a muzzle while the wicked are before me. ² I became dumb, keeping still; from good I was silent, and my pain was stirred.

³ O Jehovah, set a guard to my mouth; keep watch on the door of my lips.

³¹ The mouth of the just flourishes with wisdom, but the perverse tongue shall be cut off.

² From the fruit of his mouth a man eats good, but the desire of the deceiver is violence. ³ He who guards his mouth keeps his life; he who opens his lips wide is ruined.

¹² There is a way that seems right to a man, but the end of it is the ways of death.

¹⁴ You have said, It is vain to serve God. And, What profit is it that we have kept His charge, and that we have walked as mourners before Jehovah of hosts?

⁹ But in vain they worship Me, teaching as doctrines the ordinances of men." Isa. 29:13

¹⁸ Then observe how you hear; for whoever may have, it will be given to him; and whoever may not have, even what he seems to have will be taken from him.

¹⁵ And also we are found to be false witnesses of God, because we witnessed as to God that He raised Christ, whom He did not raise, if then dead ones are not raised.

⁶ But from those seeming to be something (of what kind they were then does not matter to me; God does not accept the face of man), for those seeming important conferred nothing to me;

⁴ Did you suffer so much vainly, if indeed it also was vainly?

²⁹ Let not any filthy word go out of your mouth, but if any is good to building up in respect to the need, that it may give grace to the ones hearing.

⁶ Let your word be always with grace, having been seasoned with salt, to know how you ought to answer each one.

²² But become doers of the Word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves.

²⁰ But are you willing to know, O vain man, that faith apart from works is dead?

¹⁰ "For the one desiring to love life, and to see good days, let him restrain his tongue from evil, even his lips not to speak guile.

¹² For I delivered the poor who cried for help and the orphan who had no helper to him. ¹³ The blessing of the perishing came on me; and I made the widow's heart to sing.

¹⁵ Did not He who made me in the belly make him? And did not One shape us in the womb? ¹⁶ If I have withheld from the desire of the poor, or I have caused the widow's eyes to fail, ¹⁷ or have eaten my bit alone, and the orphan has not eaten it, ¹⁸ for from my youth he grew up with me as with a father, and from my mother's womb I guided her. ¹⁹ If I have seen any perish for lack of clothing, or there was no covering for the needy; ²⁰ if his loins have not blessed me, and he warmed himself with the fleece of my flock;

⁵ In His holy dwelling God is a father of the fatherless, and a judge of the widows.

¹ Aleph Blessed are the upright in the way, who walk in the law of Jehovah.

¹⁶ Wash yourselves, purify yourselves. Put away the evil of your doings from My sight; stop doing evil. ¹⁷ Learn to do good, seek justice, reprove the oppressor, judge the orphan, strive for the widow.

²³ Your princes are rebellious and companions of thieves. Everyone loves a bribe, and is pursuing rewards. They do not judge the orphan, nor does the cause of the widow come to them,

⁶ Is this not the fast I have chosen: to open bands of wickedness, to undo thongs of the yoke, and to let the oppressed ones go free; even that you pull off every yoke? ⁷ Is it not to break your bread to the hungry, that you should bring the wandering poor home? When will you see the naked and cover him; and you will not hide yourself from your flesh?

⁸ Blessed are the pure in heart! For they shall see God.

³⁴ Then the King will say to those on His right, Come, the blessed of My Father. Inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world. ³⁵ For I hungered, and you gave Me food to eat; I thirsted, and you gave Me drink; I was a stranger, and you took Me in; ³⁶ naked, and you clothed Me; I was sick, and you visited Me; I was in prison, and you came to Me. ³⁷ Then the righteous will answer, saying, Lord, when did we see You hungry, and fed You; or thirsting, and gave You drink? ³⁸ And when did we see You a stranger, and took You in; or naked, and clothed You ? ³⁹ And when did we see You sick, or in prison, and came to You? ⁴⁰ And answering, the King will say to them, Truly I say to you, Inasmuch as you did it to one of these, the least of My brothers, you did it to Me. ⁴¹ Then He will also say to those on His left, Go away from Me, cursed ones, into the everlasting fire having been prepared for the Devil and his angels. ⁴² For I hungered, and you gave Me nothing to eat; I thirsted, and you gave me nothing to drink; ⁴³ I was a stranger, and you did not take Me in; naked, and you did not clothe Me; sick, and in prison, and you did not visit Me. ⁴⁴ Then they also will answer Him, saying, Lord, when did we see You hungering, or thirsting, or a stranger, or naked, or sick, or in prison, and did not minister to You? ⁴⁵ Then He will answer them, saying, Truly I say to you, Inasmuch as you did not do it to one of these, the least, neither did you do it to Me. ⁴⁶ And these shall go away into everlasting punishment, but the righteous into everlasting life.

⁶ And they were both righteous before God, walking blameless in all the commandments and ordinances of the Lord.

¹⁴ I have given them Your Word, and the world hated them because they are not of the world, as I am not of the world. ¹⁵ I do not pray that You take them out of the world, but that You keep them from evil.

² And be not conformed to this age, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, in order to prove by you what is the good and pleasing and perfect will of God.

⁴ who gave Himself for our sins, so that He might deliver us out of the present evil age, according to the will of our God and Father,

⁶ For in Christ Jesus, neither circumcision nor uncircumcision has any strength, but faith working through love.

⁹ But we should not weaken in doing good, for in due time we shall reap, if we do not faint. ¹⁰ So then, as we have time, let us work good toward all, and especially toward the household of the faith.

¹⁴ But may it never be for me to boast, except in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom the world has been crucified to me, and I to the world.

¹ If, then, you were raised with Christ, seek the things above, where Christ is sitting at the right of God; Psa. 110:1 ² mind the things above, not the things on the earth, ³ For you died, and your life has been hidden with Christ in God.

⁵ but the end of the commandment is love out of a pure heart and a good conscience, and faith not pretended,

⁴ But if any widow has children or grandchildren, let them learn first to be godly to their own house and to make a return payment to their forebears, for this is good and pleasing before God.

⁴ Adulterers and adulteresses! Do you not know that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? Whoever, then, purposes to be a friend of the world is shown to be an enemy of God.

¹⁵ Do not love the world nor the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him, ¹⁶ because all that which is in the world: the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world. ¹⁷ And the world is passing away, and its lust. But the one doing the will of God abides forever.

¹⁷ Whoever has the means of life of the world, and sees his brother having need, and shuts up his bowels from him, how does the love of God abide in him? ¹⁸ My little children, let us not love in word, or in tongue, but in deed and in truth. ¹⁹ And in this we shall know that we are of the truth, and shall persuade our hearts before Him,

⁴ Because everything having been born of God overcomes the world, and this is the victory overcoming the world, our faith. ⁵ Who is the one overcoming the world except the one who believes that Jesus is the Son of God?

¹⁸ We know that everyone having been born of God does not sin, but the one born of God keeps himself, and the evil does not touch him.
