¹ Since many took in hand to draw up an account concerning the matters having been borne out among us, ² as those from the beginning delivered to us, becoming eye-witnesses and ministers of the word, ³ it seemed good also to me, having traced out all things accurately from the first, to write in order to you, most excellent Theophilus, ⁴ that you may know the certainty concerning the words which you were taught. ⁵ In the days of Herod the king of Judea, there was a certain priest named Zacharias, of the daily course of Abijah. And his wife was of the daughters of Aaron, and her name was Elizabeth. ⁶ And they were both righteous before God, walking blameless in all the commandments and ordinances of the Lord. ⁷ And no child was born to them, because Elizabeth was barren. And both were advanced in their days. ⁸ And it happened in his serving as priest in the order of his course before God, ⁹ according to the custom of the priests, entering into the Holy Place of the Lord, it was Zacharias' lot to burn incense. ¹⁰ And all the multitude of the people was praying outside at the hour of incense. ¹¹ And an angel of the Lord appeared to him, standing on the right of the altar of incense. ¹² And seeing this, Zacharias was troubled, and fear fell on him. ¹³ But the angel said to him, Do not fear, Zacharias, because your prayer was heard, and your wife Elizabeth will bear a son to you, and you shall call his name John. ¹⁴ And he will be joy and exultation to you, and many will rejoice over his birth. ¹⁵ For he shall be great in the eyes of the Lord, and he shall not drink wine or strong drink. And he will be filled of the Holy Spirit, even from his mother's womb. ¹⁶ And he will turn many of the sons of Israel to the Lord their God. ¹⁷ And he will go out before Him in the spirit and power of Elijah "to turn the hearts of fathers to their children," and disobedient ones to the wisdom of the just, to make ready a people having been prepared for the Lord. Mal. 4:5, 6 ¹⁸ And Zacharias said to the angel, By what shall I know this? For I am old and my wife is advanced in her days. ¹⁹ And answering, the angel said to him, I am Gabriel, who stands before God, and I was sent to speak to you and to announce to you the good news of these things. ²⁰ And behold, you shall be silent and not able to speak until the day these things take place, because you did not believe my words which shall be fulfilled in their season. ²¹ And the people were expecting Zacharias, and they wondered at his delay in the Holy Place. ²² But coming out, he was not able to speak to them, and they recognized that he had seen a vision in the Holy Place. And he was making signs to them and continued dumb. ²³ And it happened when the days of his service were fulfilled, he went away to his house. ²⁴ And after these days his wife Elizabeth conceived. And she hid herself five months, saying, ²⁵ So has the Lord done to me in the days in which He looked on me to take away my reproach among men. ²⁶ And in the sixth month, the angel Gabriel was sent by God to a city of Galilee named Nazareth, ²⁷ to a virgin who had been betrothed to a man whose name was Joseph, of the house of David; and the virgin's name was Mariam. ²⁸ And entering, the angel said to her, Hail, one having received grace! The Lord is with you. You are blessed among women! ²⁹ And seeing this, she was disturbed at his word, and considered what kind of greeting this might be. ³⁰ And the angel said to her, Do not fear, Mariam, for you have found favor from God. ³¹ And behold! You will conceive in your womb and bear a Son, and you will call His name Jesus. ³² This One will be great and will be called Son of the Most High. And the Lord God will give Him the throne of His father David. ³³ And He will reign over the house of Jacob forever; and of His kingdom there will be no end. ³⁴ But Mariam said to the angel, How will this be since I do not know a man? ³⁵ And answering, the angel said to her, The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you, and for this reason that Holy One being born of you will be called Son of God. ³⁶ And behold, your kinswoman Elizabeth! She also conceived a son in her old age, and this is the sixth month to her who was called barren; ³⁷ for nothing shall be impossible with God. ³⁸ And Mariam said, Behold, the slave of the Lord! May it be to me according to your word. And the angel departed from her. ³⁹ And rising up in these days, Mariam went into the hill country with haste to a city of Judah. ⁴⁰ And she entered into the house of Zacharias and greeted Elizabeth. ⁴¹ And it happened, as Elizabeth heard Mariam's greeting, the babe in her womb leaped, and Elizabeth was filled of the Holy Spirit. ⁴² And she cried out with a loud voice and said, Blessed are you among women and blessed is the fruit of your womb! ⁴³ And why is this to me that the mother of my Lord comes to me? ⁴⁴ For behold, as the sound of your greeting came to my ears, the babe in my womb leaped in exultation. ⁴⁵ And blessed is she believing, because there will be a completion to the things spoken to her from the Lord. ⁴⁶ And Mariam said, My soul magnifies the Lord, ⁴⁷ and my spirit exulted in God My Savior. ⁴⁸ For He looked upon the humiliation of His slave woman. For, behold, from now on all generations will count me blessed. 1 Sam. 1:11 ⁴⁹ For the Mighty One did great things to me, and holy is His name. ⁵⁰ And His mercy is to generations of generations to those fearing Him. Psa. 103:17 ⁵¹ He performed mightily with His arm; He scattered proud ones in the thought of their heart. ⁵² He put down powerful ones from thrones, and exalted lowly ones. ⁵³ He filled the hungry with good things, and He sent the rich away empty. ⁵⁴ He helped His servant Israel in order to remember mercy, ⁵⁵ even as He spoke to our fathers, to Abraham, and to his seed forever. ⁵⁶ And Mariam remained with her about three months, and returned to her house. ⁵⁷ And the time was fulfilled to Elizabeth for her to bear, and she bore a son. ⁵⁸ And the neighbors and her relatives heard that the Lord magnified His mercy with her, and they rejoiced with her. ⁵⁹ And it happened on the eighth day, they came to circumcise the child and were calling it by his father's name, Zacharias. ⁶⁰ And his mother answered, saying, Not so, but he shall be called John. ⁶¹ And they said to her, No one is among your kindred who is called by this name. ⁶² And they signaled to his father, what he might desire him to be called. ⁶³ And asking for a writing tablet, he wrote, saying, John is his name. And all marveled. ⁶⁴ And instantly his mouth was opened and his tongue loosed, and he spoke, blessing God. ⁶⁵ And fear came on all those living around them. And in all the hill country of Judea all these things were talked about. ⁶⁶ And all who heard laid them up in their hearts, saying, What then will this child be? And the hand of the Lord was with him. ⁶⁷ And his father Zacharias was filled of the Holy Spirit and prophesied, saying, ⁶⁸ Blessed be the Lord, the God of Israel, because He visited and worked redemption for His people. ⁶⁹ And He raised up a Horn of salvation for us in the house of His servant David; ⁷⁰ even as He spoke through the mouth of His holy prophets from the age before : ⁷¹ Salvation from our enemies, and from the hand of all those hating us, ⁷² to execute mercy with our fathers, and to remember His holy covenant, ⁷³ the oath which He swore to our father Abraham, ⁷⁴ to give to us, that we being delivered out of our enemies' hand, in order to serve Him without fear, ⁷⁵ in consecration and righteousness before Him all the days of our life. ⁷⁶ And you, child, will be called Prophet of the Most High, for you will go before the face of the Lord to prepare His ways, Mal. 3:1 ⁷⁷ to give a knowledge of salvation to His people by remission of their sins, ⁷⁸ through the tender bowels of mercy of our God, in which the Dayspring from on high will visit us, ⁷⁹ to appear to those sitting in darkness and in shadow of death, to direct our feet into the way of peace. Isa. 9:2 ⁸⁰ And the child grew, and became strong in spirit. And he was in the deserts until the day of his showing to Israel.

³¹ But these have been written that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that believing you may have life in His name.

¹ Indeed, O Theophilus, I made the first report concerning all things which Jesus began both to do and to teach, ² until the day He was taken up, having given directions to the apostles whom He chose, through the Holy Spirit, ³ to whom also He presented Himself living after His suffering, by many infallible proofs, being seen by them through forty days, and speaking the things concerning the kingdom of God.

¹⁶ And confessedly, great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifested in flesh, was justified in Spirit, was seen by angels, was proclaimed among nations, was believed on in the world, was taken up in glory.

¹⁷ But the Lord stood with me and gave me power, that through me the preaching might be fulfilled, and all the nations might hear. And I was delivered out of the mouth of the lion.

¹⁶ For not following fables which had been cleverly devised, but having become eyewitnesses of the majesty of Jesus Christ, we made known to you the power and coming of our Lord. ¹⁷ For receiving honor and glory from God the Father such a voice being borne to Him from the magnificent glory, "This is My Son, the Beloved, in whom I was well pleased," Psa. 2:7; Gen. 22:2; Isa. 42:1; Matt. 17:5 ¹⁸ even we heard this voice being borne out of Heaven, being with Him in the holy mountain, ¹⁹ and we have the more established prophetic word, in which you do well to take heed, as to a lamp shining in a murky place, until day dawns and the Day-star rises in your hearts;

¹ The beginning of the gospel of Jesus Christ, the Son of God,

¹⁴ The sower sows the Word.

⁴⁸ And you are witnesses of these things.

²⁷ And you also witness, because from the beginning you are with Me.

³ to whom also He presented Himself living after His suffering, by many infallible proofs, being seen by them through forty days, and speaking the things concerning the kingdom of God.

⁸ but you will receive power, the Holy Spirit coming upon you, and you will be witnesses of Me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea, and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.

²¹ Therefore, it is right that one of these men being together with us all the time in which the Lord Jesus came in and went out among us, ²² beginning from the baptism of John until the day when He was taken from us, one of these to become a witness of His resurrection with us.

²⁰ For we are not able not to speak what we saw and heard.

³⁹ And we are witnesses of all things which He did, both in the country of the Jews, and in Jerusalem. They did away with Him, hanging Him on a tree. ⁴⁰ God raised up this One the third day and gave to Him to become visible; ⁴¹ not to all the people, but to witnesses, the ones having been before hand-picked by God, to us who ate and drank with Him after His rising again from the dead.

¹⁶ but rise up and stand on your feet, for it is for this reason I appeared to you, to appoint you a servant and a witness both of what you saw, and in what I shall appear to you,

¹⁶ for me to be a minister of Jesus Christ to the nations, sacredly ministering the gospel of God, that the offering of the nations might be acceptable, sanctified by the Holy Spirit.

¹ Let a man think of us as ministers of Christ and stewards of the mysteries of God.

⁷ of which I was made a minister according to the gift of the grace of God given to me, according to the working of His power. ⁸ This grace was given to me, less than the least of all the saints, to proclaim the gospel of the unsearchable riches of Christ among the nations,

¹¹ And indeed He gave some to be apostles; and some prophets; and some evangelists; and some pastors and teachers; ¹² with a view to the perfecting of the saints for the work of the ministry, for the building up of the body of Christ,

²³ if indeed you continue in the faith grounded and settled and not being moved away from the hope of the gospel which you heard proclaimed in all the creation under Heaven, of which I, Paul, became a minister. ²⁴ who now rejoice in my sufferings on your behalf and fill up in my flesh the things lacking of the afflictions of Christ on behalf of His body, which is the church, ²⁵ of which I became a minister, according to the administration of God given to me for you, to fulfill the Word of God,

³ how shall we escape if we neglect so great a salvation? Which having received a beginning to be spoken through the Lord, was confirmed to us by the ones hearing,

¹ I, a fellow elder, exhort the elders among you, I being also witness of the sufferings of Christ, and being sharer of the glory about to be revealed:

¹⁶ For not following fables which had been cleverly devised, but having become eyewitnesses of the majesty of Jesus Christ, we made known to you the power and coming of our Lord.

¹ We announce to you what was from the beginning, what we have heard, what we have seen with our eyes, what we beheld, and what our hands touched, as regards the Word of Life. ² And the Life was revealed, and we have seen, and we bear witness, and we announce to you the everlasting Life which was with the Father, and was revealed to us. ³ We announce to you what we have seen, and what we have heard, that you also may have fellowship with us. And truly our fellowship is with the Father and with His Son, Jesus Christ.

⁵ Many things have You done, O Jehovah my God; Your works of wonder and Your purposes toward us; there is none to set in order to You; I will declare and I will speak; they are more than can be counted.

²¹ You have done these things, and I have kept silence; you thought that surely I would be like you; but I will rebuke you and set in order before your eyes.

⁹ And more than that, the Preacher was wise; he still taught the people knowledge. Yes, he listened, and looked, and set in order many proverbs.

⁴ But beginning, Peter set out to them in order, saying,

¹⁹ For this reason I judge not to trouble those from the nations turning to God,

²⁵ it seemed good to us, having become of one mind, to send chosen men to you along with our beloved Barnabas and Paul,

²⁸ For it seemed good to the Holy Spirit and to us to put not one greater burden on you than these necessary things:

²⁶ Claudius Lysias to the most excellent governor, Felix, greeting:

³ Obtaining much peace through you and excellent accomplishments having come to this nation due to your forethought, in everything and everywhere we accept with all thankfulness, most excellent Felix.

²⁵ But he said, Not to madness, most excellent Festus, but I speak words of truth and sanity.

⁴⁰ But she is happier if she remains so, according to my judgment. And I think I also have the Spirit of God.

¹² And concerning the brother Apollos, I much urged him that he come to you with the brothers, but it was not altogether his will that he come now. But he will come when he has opportunity.

²⁵ This one having been taught by mouth in the way of the Lord, and being fervent in spirit, he spoke and taught accurately the things about the Lord, having understood only the baptism of John.

¹⁸ and know the will, and approve the things excelling, being instructed out of the Law,

¹⁹ But in a church I desire to speak five words with my mind, that I may also instruct others, than myriads of words in a foreign language.

⁶ But let the one being taught in the word share with the one teaching, in all good things.

¹⁵ And I will also be diligent to cause you always to have memory of these things after my departure. ¹⁶ For not following fables which had been cleverly devised, but having become eyewitnesses of the majesty of Jesus Christ, we made known to you the power and coming of our Lord.

¹⁰ the seventh to Hakkoz, the eighth to Abijah,

¹⁹ These were the orderings of them in their service to come into the house of Jehovah, according to their ordinance, to Aaron their father, as Jehovah God of Israel had commanded him.

⁴ Iddo, Ginnetho, Abijah,

¹⁷ from Abijah was Zichri; from Miniamin, of Moadiah was Piltai;

¹ And when Jesus had been born in Bethlehem of Judea in the days of Herod the king, behold, wise men arrived from the east to Jerusalem,

⁹ These are the generations of Noah. Noah, a righteous man, had been perfected among his family. Noah walked with God.

¹ And Jehovah said to Noah You and all your house come into the ark, for I have seen you righteous before Me in this generation.

¹ And when Abram was ninety nine years old, Jehovah appeared to Abram and said to him, I am the Almighty God! Walk before me and be perfect;

⁴ And you, if you walk before me as your father David walked, in singleness of heart, and in uprightness, to do according to all that I have commanded you; you shall keep My statutes and My judgments;

³ I pray to You, O Jehovah, please remember how I have walked always before your face in truth, and with a perfect heart, and I have done the good in Your eyes. And Hezekiah wept with a great weeping.

¹ There was a man in the land of Uz, his name was Job. And this man was perfect and upright, and fearing God, and turning away from evil.

⁸ And Jehovah said to Satan, Have you set your heart on My servant Job because there is none like him in the earth, a perfect and upright man, fearing God and turning away from evil?

² Truly I know it is so; but how can man be just with God?

⁶ Then I shall not be ashamed, when I look to all Your commands.

¹⁵ And He said to them, You are those justifying yourselves before men, but God knows your hearts; for the thing highly prized among men is a hateful thing before God.

¹ And looking on the sanhedrin, Paul said, Men, brothers, I in all good conscience have conducted myself toward God to this day.

¹⁶ And in this I exercise myself to have always a blameless conscience toward God and men.

⁹ What then? Do we excel? Not at all! For we have charged both Jews and Greeks before, all with being under sin; ¹⁰ according as it has been written, "There is none righteous, not one!" ¹¹ There is none that understands, there is "not one that seeks after God. ¹² All turned away, they became worthless together, not one is doing goodness, not so much as one!" LXX-Psa. 13:1 -3 ¹³ "Their throat is an opened grave;" "they used deceit with their tongues; the poison of asps is under their lips; ¹⁴ whose mouth is full of cursing and bitterness. ¹⁵ Their feet are swift to shed blood; ¹⁶ ruin and misery are in their way; ¹⁷ and they did not know a way of peace; ¹⁸ there is no fear of God before their eyes." LXX-Psa. 5:10; 139:4; 9:28; Isa. 59:7, 8; Psa. 35:2; MT-Psa. 14:1 -3; 5:9; 140:3; 10:7; Isa. 59:7, 8; Psa. 36:1 ¹⁹ But we know that whatever the Law says, it speaks to those within the Law, so that every mouth may be stopped, and all the world be under judgment to God. ²⁰ Because by works of law not one of all flesh will be justified before Him, for through law is full knowledge of sin. Psa. 143:2 ²¹ But now a righteousness of God has been revealed apart from Law, being witnessed by the Law and the Prophets, ²² even the righteousness of God through faith of Jesus Christ toward all and upon all those believing; for there is no difference, ²³ for all sinned and fall short of the glory of God, ²⁴ being justified freely by His grace through the redemption in Christ Jesus, ²⁵ whom God set forth as a propitiation through faith in His blood, for a showing forth of His righteousness through the passing by of the sins that had taken place before, in the forbearance of God,

² But I praise you, brothers, that in all things you have remembered me, and even as I delivered to you, you hold fast the doctrines.

¹² For our glorying is this, the testimony of our conscience, that we had our conduct in the world in simplicity and sincerity of God, not in fleshly wisdom, but in the grace of God, and more abundantly toward you.

¹⁵ that you may be blameless and harmless, children of God, without fault in the midst of a crooked generation, even having been perverted, among whom you shine as luminaries in the world,

⁶ according to zeal, persecuting the church; according to righteousness in Law, being blameless. ⁷ But what things were gain to me, these I have counted loss because of Christ. ⁸ But, nay, rather I also count all things to be loss because of the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord, for whose sake I have suffered the loss of all things and count them to be trash, that I might gain Christ ⁹ and be found in Him; not having my own righteousness of Law, but through the faith of Christ, having the righteousness of God on faith,

²² in the body of His flesh, through death, to present you holy and without blemish and without charge before Him,

¹³ in order to establish your hearts blameless in holiness before our God and our Father at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ with all His saints.

¹¹ For the saving grace of God has appeared to all men, ¹² instructing us that having denied ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live discreetly and righteously and godly in the present age, ¹³ looking for the blessed hope and appearance of the glory of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ, ¹⁴ who gave Himself on our behalf, "that He might redeem us from all iniquity" "and purify" "a people" "for His own possession," zealous of good works. Psa. 130:8; Eze. 37:23; Deut. 14:2

³ For we also once were senseless, disobedient, led astray, slaving for various lusts and pleasures, living in malice and envy, hateful, hating one another. ⁴ But when the kindness and love of God our Savior toward man appeared, ⁵ not by works in righteousness which we had done, but according to His mercy, He saved us through the washing of regeneration and renewal of the Holy Spirit, ⁶ whom He poured out on us richly through Jesus Christ, our Savior; ⁷ that being justified by His grace, we should become heirs according to the hope of eternal life.

¹⁴ Because of this, beloved, looking for these things, be diligent, spotless, and without blemish, to be found in peace by Him.

³ And by this we know that we have known Him, if we keep His commands.

²⁹ If you know that He is righteous, know that everyone doing righteousness has been born of Him.

⁷ Little children, let no one lead you astray; the one practicing righteousness is righteous, even as that One is righteous.

² And Abram said, Lord Jehovah, what will You give to me since I am going childless and the son of the inheritance of my house is Eleazar of Damascus? ³ And Abram said, Behold! You have given no seed to me; and lo, the son of my house is inheriting of me! And behold!

¹ And Sarai, Abram's wife, did not bear to him; and to her belonged a female slave, an Egyptian, and her name was Hagar. ² And Sarai said to Abram, See, now, Jehovah has kept me from bearing; go in now to my slave-girl; perhaps I may be built up from her. And Abram listened to the voice of Sarai.

¹⁷ And Abraham fell on his face and laughed. And he said in his heart, Shall one be born to a son of a hundred years? And shall Sarah bear, a daughter of ninety years?

¹¹ And Abraham and Sarah were aged, going on in days. The custom as to women had ceased to be to Sarah.

²¹ And Isaac prayed to Jehovah for his wife for she was barren. And Jehovah was entreated for him, and his wife Rebekah conceived.

¹ And Rachel saw that she did not bear to Jacob, and Rachel was jealous of her sister. And she said to Jacob, Give me sons; and if there is none, I shall die.

² And there was a certain man of Zorah, of the family of the Danites, and his name was Manoah. And his wife was barren, and had not borne. ³ And the Angel of Jehovah appeared to the woman, and said to her, Behold now, you are barren and have not borne. But you shall conceive and bear a son.

² And he had two wives the name of the one was Hannah, and the name of the second, Peninnah. And Peninnah had children, but Hannah had no children.

⁵ And to Hannah he gave one double portion, for he loved Hannah. And Jehovah had shut up her womb. ⁶ And even to vexation her rival provoked her, so as to make her tremble, because Jehovah had shut up her womb. ⁷ And so he did year by year, as often as she went up to the house of Jehovah, so she provoked her. And she wept, and did not eat. ⁸ And her husband Elkanah said to her, Hannah, why do you weep? And why do you not eat? And why is your heart afflicted? Am I not better to you than ten sons?

¹ And king David was old, going into days. And they covered him with garments, for he had no heat.

¹⁴ And he said, What then shall I do for her? And Gehazi said, Truly there is no son to her. And her husband is old.

¹⁹ And being about a hundred years old, not weakening in faith, he did not consider his body to have died already, nor yet the death of Sarah's womb,

¹¹ Also by faith Sarah herself received power for conceiving seed even beyond the time of age, and gave birth; since she deemed the One having promised to be faithful.

¹ And you shall take to yourself your brother Aaron, and his sons with him, from among the sons of Israel, for him to serve as priest to Me; Aaron, Nadab, and Abihu, Eleazar, and Ithamar, the sons of Aaron.

⁴¹ And you shall clothe your brother Aaron with them, and his sons with him; and you shall anoint them, and you shall consecrate them, and you shall sanctify them. And they shall minister as priests to Me.

¹ And this is the thing which you shall do to them, to sanctify them to minister as priests to Me: take one bullock, the son of the herd, and two perfect rams,

⁹ And you shall gird them with girdles, Aaron and his sons; and you shall bind on bonnets for them; and it shall be a never ending statute for them in the priest's office. And you shall consecrate Aaron and his sons.

⁴⁴ And I will sanctify the tabernacle of the congregation and the altar. And I will sanctify Aaron and his sons to minister as priests to Me.

³⁰ And you shall anoint Aaron and his sons, and you shall consecrate them to minister as priests to Me.

⁷ And you, and your sons with you, shall keep your priesthood, in everything that pertains to the altar, and to that inside the veil. And you shall serve; I have given you the priesthood as a service of gift; and the stranger who comes near shall be put to death.

² But Nadab and Abihu died before their father, and they had no sons. And Eleazar and Ithamar were priests.

¹⁴ And according to the decree of his father David, he made stand the divisions of the priests over their service, and of the Levites over their charges, to praise and to minister before the priests, according to the duty of every day, and the gatekeepers in their courses at every gate, for so was the command of David the man of God.

¹⁴ For the Levites had abandoned their pasture land and their property. And they came to Judah and to Jerusalem; for Jeroboam and his sons had cast them out from acting as priests to Jehovah.

² And Hezekiah made stand the courses of the priests and of the Levites, by their divisions, each according to his service, of the priests and of the Levites, for burnt offerings, and for peace offerings, to serve and to give thanks, and to give praise in the gates of the camps of Jehovah.

¹⁹ And to the sons of Aaron, the priests, in the fields of the suburbs of their cities in every separate city, were men who were called by name to give portions to every male among the priests, and to all enrolled genealogically among the Levites.

¹⁸ And they raised up the priests in their sections, and the Levites in their division, for the service of God which is in Jerusalem, as it is written in the book of Moses.

⁷ And Aaron shall burn incense of perfume on it morning by morning; when he dresses the lamps he shall burn it. ⁸ And when Aaron sets up the lamps between the evenings he shall burn it, a perpetual incense before the face of Jehovah for your generations.

²⁵ And he made he altar of incense of acacia wood; its length a cubit, and its width a cubit, square. And its height was two cubits; its horns were of it. ²⁶ And he overlaid it with pure gold, its top and its sides and its horns all around. And he made for it a wreath of gold all around. ²⁷ And he made for it two rings of gold, from beneath its wreath, on its two corners, on its two sides, for housings for poles, to lift it. ²⁸ And he made its poles of acacia wood; and he overlaid them with gold. ²⁹ And he made the holy oil of anointing, and the pure incense of fragrant spices, the work of a perfumer.

⁴⁰ a memorial to the sons of Israel, so that an alien who is not of the seed of Aaron shall not draw near to offer incense before Jehovah, and shall not be as Korah, and as his company; as Jehovah had spoken by the hand of Moses to him.

²⁸ even to choose him out of all the tribes of Israel to be priest to Me, to go up on My altar, to cause incense to smoke, to bear an ephod before Me? And did I give to your father's house all the fire offerings of the sons of Israel?

⁴⁹ But Aaron and his sons offered on the altar of burnt offering, and on the altar of incense, for all the work of the Most Holy Place, and to make atonement for Israel, according to all that Moses the servant of God had commanded.

¹³ The sons of Amram: Aaron and Moses. And Aaron was separated so that he should sanctify the most holy things, he and his sons perpetually to burn incense before Jehovah, to minister to Him and to bless in His name perpetually.

¹⁶ And when he became strong, his heart was lifted up to act corruptly; and he trespassed against Jehovah his God, and went in to the temple of Jehovah to burn incense on the altar of incense.

¹¹ Now, my sons, do not be negligent, for Jehovah has chosen you to stand before His face, to serve Him and to be ministers and incense burners for Him.

⁶ And these having been prepared thus, the priests go into the first tabernacle through all, completing the services.

¹⁷ And not any man shall be in the tabernacle of the congregation as he goes in to atone in the sanctuary, until he comes out. And he shall atone for himself, and for his house, and for all the congregation of Israel.

¹⁴ Then having a great High Priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast the confession.

²⁴ For Christ did not enter into the Holy of Holies made by hands, types of the true things, but into Heaven itself, now to appear in the presence of God on our behalf,

³ And another angel came and stood on the altar, having a golden censer. And many incenses were given to him, that he give them with the prayers of all the saints on the golden altar before the throne.

¹ And you shall make an altar, a place for burning incense; you shall make it of acacia wood. ² It shall be a cubit in length and a cubit in width; it shall be square. And its height shall be two cubits, its horns from itself. ³ And you shall overlay it with pure gold, its top, and its walls all around, and its horns. And you shall make a wreath of gold for it all around. ⁴ And you shall make two rings of gold for it under its wreath; you shall make its two corners on its two sides; and they shall be housings for poles, to lift them up by it. ⁵ And you shall make the poles of acacia wood; and you shall overlay them with gold. ⁶ And you shall put it in front of the veil which is beside the ark of the testimony; in front of the mercyseat which is over the testimony, there where I meet you. ⁷ And Aaron shall burn incense of perfume on it morning by morning; when he dresses the lamps he shall burn it. ⁸ And when Aaron sets up the lamps between the evenings he shall burn it, a perpetual incense before the face of Jehovah for your generations. ⁹ You shall not offer up strange incense on it, and burnt offering and food offering; and you shall not pour out a drink offering, to go up on it. ¹⁰ And Aaron shall make atonement on its horns once in a year; from the blood of the sin offering of the atonement once in the year he shall make atonement on it for your generations; it is most holy to Jehovah.

²⁶ And he set up the altar of gold in the tabernacle of the congregation, before the veil. ²⁷ And he burned on it incense of fragrant spices, as Jehovah commanded Moses.

¹³ And he shall put the incense on the fire before Jehovah, and the cloud of the incense shall cover the mercy-seat on the testimony; and he shall not die.

³ And the Angel of Jehovah appeared to the woman, and said to her, Behold now, you are barren and have not borne. But you shall conceive and bear a son.

⁹ And God listened to the voice of Manoah, and the Angel of God came again to the woman. And she was sitting in a field; and her husband Manoah was not with her.

¹⁹ And answering, the angel said to him, I am Gabriel, who stands before God, and I was sent to speak to you and to announce to you the good news of these things.

²⁸ And entering, the angel said to her, Hail, one having received grace! The Lord is with you. You are blessed among women!

¹⁰ And the angel said to them, Do not fear. For, behold, I announce good news to you, a great joy, which will be to all people,

¹⁹ But an angel of the Lord opened the doors of the prison during the night, and leading them out, he said,

³ About the ninth hour of the day, he saw plainly in a vision an angel of God coming to him, and saying to him, Cornelius! ⁴ And he was staring at him, and becoming terrified he said, What is it, Sir? And he said to him, Your prayers and your alms went up for a memorial before God.

¹⁴ Are they not all ministering spirits for service, being sent out because of the ones being about to inherit salvation?

³ And another angel came and stood on the altar, having a golden censer. And many incenses were given to him, that he give them with the prayers of all the saints on the golden altar before the throne. ⁴ And the smoke of the incenses went up with the prayers of the saints out of the hand of the angel before God.

¹³ And the sixth angel trumpeted. And I heard one voice out of the four horns of the golden altar before God,

²² And Gideon saw that He was the Angel of Jehovah. And Gideon said, Alas, Lord Jehovah! Because I have seen the Angel of Jehovah face to face!

²² And Manoah said to his wife, We shall surely die, because we have seen God.

¹⁴ fear and trembling met me, and made my many bones dread. ¹⁵ Then a spirit passed before my face; the hair of my flesh stood up;

⁷ And I, Daniel, alone saw the vision. For the men who were with me did not see the vision. But a great trembling fell on them so that they fled to hide themselves.

⁵ And entering into the tomb, they saw a young man sitting on the right, having been clothed in a white robe. And they were much amazed.

²⁹ And seeing this, she was disturbed at his word, and considered what kind of greeting this might be.

⁹ And, behold, an angel of the Lord came on them. And the glory of the Lord shone around them. And they feared with a great fear. ¹⁰ And the angel said to them, Do not fear. For, behold, I announce good news to you, a great joy, which will be to all people,

⁴ And he was staring at him, and becoming terrified he said, What is it, Sir? And he said to him, Your prayers and your alms went up for a memorial before God.

¹⁷ And when I saw Him, I fell at His feet, as dead. And He put His right hand on me, saying to me, Do not fear. I am the First and the Last,

¹⁰ This is My covenant which you shall keep, between Me and you and your seed after you: Every male child among you shall be circumcised

¹⁹ And God said, Your wife Sarah truly shall bear you a son, and you shall call his name Isaac. And I have established My covenant with him for a perpetual covenant with his seed after him.

¹⁴ Is anything too difficult for Jehovah? At the appointed time I will return to you, at the time of life, and there will be a son to Sarah.

²³ And Jehovah said to him, Peace to you, fear not. You shall not die.

³ And the Angel of Jehovah appeared to the woman, and said to her, Behold now, you are barren and have not borne. But you shall conceive and bear a son. ⁴ And now take heed, and please do not drink wine or fermented drink; and do not eat any unclean thing . ⁵ For, behold, you are pregnant and bearing a son. And a razor shall not go on his head, for the boy shall be a Nazirite to God from the womb. And he shall begin to save Israel out of the hand of the Philistines.

²⁰ And it happened when the time had come around, Hannah conceived and bore a son. And she called his name Samuel, saying, Because I have asked him of Jehovah. ²¹ And the man Elkanah and all his house went up to sacrifice to Jehovah a sacrifice of the days, and to vow his vow. ²² And Hannah did not go up, for she said to her husband, Until the child is weaned, then I will bring him, that he may appear before Jehovah and remain there forever. ²³ And her husband Elkanah said to her, Do that which is good in your eyes. Remain until you wean him. Only, may Jehovah confirm His word. And the woman remained, and suckled her son until she had weaned him.

²¹ So Jehovah visited Hannah, and she conceived and bore three sons and two daughters. And the boy Samuel grew up with Jehovah.

¹⁶ And he said, At this season, according to the time of life you shall embrace a son. And she said, No, my lord, O man of God, do not lie to your handmaid. ¹⁷ And the woman conceived and bore a son, at this season, according to the time of life that Elisha spoke of to her.

⁹ He causes the barren to live in the house as the joyful mother of sons. Praise Jehovah!

²¹ I will thank You, for You answered me, and are my salvation.

³ Behold! Children are an inheritance of Jehovah; the fruit of the womb is His reward. ⁴ As arrows in the hand of a mighty man, so are the sons of the young. ⁵ Blessed is the man who has filled his quiver with them; they shall not be ashamed, for they shall speak with their enemies in the gate.

³ And I drew near the prophetess. And she conceived, and bore a son. Then Jehovah said to me, Call his name, Hurry, plunder! Eagerly plunder!

¹² And he said to me, Do not fear, Daniel. For from the first day that you set your heart to understand and to humble yourself before your God, your words were heard. And I have come because of your words.

⁴ And Jehovah said to him, Call his name God Will Sow, for yet in a little while I will call to account the blood of Jezreel on the house of Jehu, and will cause the kingdom of the house of Israel to cease.

⁶ And she conceived again and bore a daughter. And He said to him, Call her name No Mercy, for I will not again still have mercy on the house of Israel; but I will completely take them away.

⁹ Then He said, Call his name Not My People, for you are not My people, and I will not be for you. ¹⁰ Yet the number of the sons of Israel shall be as the sand of the sea, which is not measured nor numbered. And it shall be, in the place where it is said to them, You are not My people, it shall be said to them, Sons of the Living God.

²¹ And she will bear a son, and you shall call His name Jesus, for He shall save His people from their sins.

²⁷ But immediately Jesus spoke to them, saying, Be comforted! I AM! Do not fear.

⁵ But answering, the angel said to the women, You must not fear, for I know that you seek Jesus who has been crucified.

⁶ But He said to them, Do not be amazed. You seek Jesus the Nazarene who has been crucified. He was raised. He is not here. See the place where they put Him?

³⁰ And the angel said to her, Do not fear, Mariam, for you have found favor from God.

⁶⁰ And his mother answered, saying, Not so, but he shall be called John. ⁶¹ And they said to her, No one is among your kindred who is called by this name. ⁶² And they signaled to his father, what he might desire him to be called. ⁶³ And asking for a writing tablet, he wrote, saying, John is his name. And all marveled.

²¹ And when eight days were fulfilled to circumcise the child His name was called Jesus, the name called by the angel before He was conceived in the womb.

³⁶ And as they were telling these things, Jesus Himself stood in their midst, and said to them, Peace to you! ³⁷ But being terrified and filled with fear, they thought they saw a spirit. ³⁸ And He said to them, Why are you troubled? And why do reasonings come up in your hearts. ³⁹ See My hands and My feet, that I am He? Feel Me and see, because a spirit does not have flesh and bones, as you see Me having. ⁴⁰ And saying this, He showed them His hands and feet.

³¹ And he said, Cornelius, your prayer was heard and your alms were remembered before God.

⁶ And Sarah said, God has made laughter for me; all who hear will laugh with me.

²⁰ A wise son makes a glad father, but a foolish man despises his mother.

¹⁵ My son, if your heart is wise, my heart shall rejoice, even I.

²⁴ The father of the righteous shall greatly rejoice, and he who fathers a wise one shall even be glad in him.

⁵⁸ And the neighbors and her relatives heard that the Lord magnified His mercy with her, and they rejoiced with her.

² And I will make of you a great nation. And I will bless you and make your name great; and you will be a blessing.

¹⁹ And his father refused and said, I know, my son, I know. He also shall be a people, and he shall become great. But his younger brother shall become greater than he, and his seed shall become the fullness of the nations.

² Speak to the sons of Israel and you shall say to them, When a man or woman shall vow the special vow of a Nazarite, to be separated to Jehovah: ³ He shall separate from wine and fermented drink; he shall not drink vinegar of wine or vinegar of fermented drink; he shall not drink any juice of the grapes; and he shall not eat dry or moist grapes. ⁴ All the days of his separation he shall not eat from all that is made of the vine, from pressed grapes, even to the stem.

⁷ And Jehovah said to Joshua, This day I will begin to make you great in the eyes of all Israel, so that they shall know that as I was with Moses, I am with you.

¹⁴ In that day Jehovah made Joshua great in the sight of all Israel. And they feared him all the days of his life, even as they feared Moses.

⁴ And now take heed, and please do not drink wine or fermented drink; and do not eat any unclean thing . ⁵ For, behold, you are pregnant and bearing a son. And a razor shall not go on his head, for the boy shall be a Nazirite to God from the womb. And he shall begin to save Israel out of the hand of the Philistines. ⁶ And the woman came and spoke to her husband, saying, A Man of God has come to me, and His appearance was like the appearance of the Angel of God, very terrifying. And I did not ask Him where He was from, and He did not tell me His name.

⁸ and I have been with you wherever you have walked; and I have cut off all your enemies from before you; and have made for you a name like the name of the great ones in the earth.

¹² and the riches, and the honor come from before You, and You rule over all; and in Your hand is power and might; and it is in Your hand to make great, and to give strength to all.

⁹ For You are He, my Taker from the womb; causing me to trust on My mother's breasts.

⁵ I knew you before I formed you in the belly; and before you came out of the womb, I consecrated you. I appointed you a prophet to the nations.

¹⁵ Jehovah of hosts shall defend them. And they shall devour and trample on the slingstones. And they shall drink and be boisterous, as with wine. And they shall be full like a bowl, like the corners of the altar.

⁹ But what did you go out to see? A prophet? Yes, I say to you, and one more excellent than a prophet. ¹⁰ For this is the one about whom it has been written: "Behold, I send My messenger before Your face, who shall prepare Your way before You." Mal. 3:1 ¹¹ Truly I say to you, Not has arisen among those born of a woman any greater than John the Baptist. But the least in the kingdom of Heaven is greater than he is. ¹² But from the days of John the Baptist until now, the kingdom of Heaven suffers violence, and the violent seize it. ¹³ For all the Prophets and the Law prophesied until John. ¹⁴ And if you are willing to receive, he is Elijah, the one about to come. ¹⁵ The one having ears to hear, let him hear. ¹⁶ But to what shall I compare this generation? It is like little children sitting in the markets, and calling to their mates, ¹⁷ and saying, We piped to you, and you did not dance; we mourned to you, and you did not wail. ¹⁸ For John came neither eating nor drinking, and they say, He has a demon. ¹⁹ The Son of man came eating and drinking, and they say, Behold, a gluttonous man and a wine drinker, and a friend of tax collectors, and of sinners. And wisdom was justified by her children.

²⁸ For I say to you, Among those born of a woman, no prophet is greater than John the Baptist. But the least one in the kingdom of God is greater than he is.

³³ For John the Baptist has come neither eating bread nor drinking wine, and you say, He has a demon.

³⁵ That one was the burning and shining lamp, and you were willing to exult in his light for an hour.

⁴ And they were all filled of the Holy Spirit, and began to speak in other languages, as the Spirit gave ability to them to speak.

¹⁴ But standing up with the Eleven, Peter lifted up his voice and spoke out to them, Men, Jews, and all those living in Jerusalem, let this be known to you, and listen to my words: ¹⁵ For these are not drunk, as you imagine, for it is the third hour of the day. ¹⁶ But this is that which has been spoken by the prophet Joel, ¹⁷ "And it shall be" in the last days, God says, "I will pour from My Spirit on all flesh, and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy;" "and your young men shall see visions," "and your old men shall dream dreams;" ¹⁸ "and also I will pour out My Spirit on My slaves and slave women in those days," and they shall prophesy.

¹⁵ But when God was pleased, "He having separated me from my mother's womb" and having called through His grace, Isa. 49:1

¹⁸ And "do not be drunk with wine," in which is debauchery, but be filled by the Spirit, Prov. 23:31

³ The voice of him who cries in the wilderness: Prepare the way of Jehovah; make straight in the desert a highway for our God. ⁴ Every valley shall be exalted, and every mountain and hill shall be made low; and the knoll shall be a level place, and the rough places a plain. ⁵ And the glory of Jehovah shall be revealed, and all flesh shall see it together, for the mouth of Jehovah has spoken.

⁶ And He said, It is too little that You should be My servant to raise up the tribes of Jacob, and to restore the preserved ones of Israel; I will also give You for a light of the nations, that You may be My salvation to the end of the earth.

³ And those who are wise shall shine as the brightness of the firmament, and those turning many to righteousness as the stars forever and ever.

¹ Behold, I am sending My messenger, and He will clear the way before Me. And the Lord whom you are seeking shall suddenly come to His temple, even the Angel of the Covenant, in whom you delight. Behold, He comes, says Jehovah of hosts.

¹ Now in those days John the Baptist came preaching in the wilderness of Judea, ² and saying, Repent! For the kingdom of Heaven has drawn near. ³ For this is he spoken of by Isaiah the prophet, saying: "The voice of one crying in the wilderness: Prepare the way of the Lord! Make His paths straight!" Isa. 40:3 ⁴ And John himself had his clothing from hairs of a camel, and a belt of leather about his loin. And his food was locusts and wild honey. ⁵ Then Jerusalem and all Judea went out to him, and all the neighborhood of the Jordan, ⁶ and were baptized by him in the Jordan, confessing their sins.

³² For John came to you in the way of righteousness, and you did not believe him. But the tax-collectors and the harlots believed him. And seeing, you did not repent afterwards to believe him.

⁷⁶ And you, child, will be called Prophet of the Most High, for you will go before the face of the Lord to prepare His ways, Mal. 3:1

⁵ And Samuel said, Gather all Israel to Mizpah, and I will pray to Jehovah for you.

¹ And Elijah the Tishbite, of the sojourners of Gilead, said to Ahab, As Jehovah the God of Israel lives, before whom I stand, there shall be no dew nor rain these years, except according to my word.

¹⁸ And he answered, I have not disturbed Israel, but you and the house of your father, in that you have forsaken the commands of Jehovah, and you have gone after the Baals.

²⁰ And Ahab said to Elijah, Have you found me, O my enemy? And he said, I have found you, because you have sold yourself to do that which is evil in the eyes of Jehovah.

⁴ And so Jehovah says this, You shall not come down from that bed on which you have gone up, but you shall surely die. And Elijah departed. ⁵ And the messengers returned to him. And he said to them, What is this, that you have turned back? ⁶ And they said to him, A man came up to meet us, and said to us, Go, return to the king who sent you. And you shall say to him, So says Jehovah, Is it because there is not a God in Israel that you are sending to ask of Baal-zebub the god of Ekron? Therefore, you shall not come down from the bed on which you have gone up, for you shall certainly die.

¹⁶ And he said to him, So says Jehovah, Because you have sent messengers to ask of Baal-zebub the god of Ekron, is it because there is not a God in Israel to inquire of His word? Therefore, you shall not come down from the bed on which you have gone up, for you shall certainly die.

¹⁸ O Jehovah, the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Israel, our fathers, keep this forever for the imagination of the thoughts of the heart of your people, and prepare their heart toward You;

³⁶ And Hezekiah and all the people rejoiced, because God had given preparation to the people; for the thing had happened suddenly.

¹⁷ O Jehovah, You have heard the desire of the humble; You will prepare their heart. Your ear will hear,

⁸ And they shall not be like their fathers, a stubborn and rebellious generation, a generation that prepared not its heart; yea, whose spirit was not faithful with God.

¹⁰ The fear of Jehovah is the beginning of wisdom; all who practice them have a good understanding; His praise is standing forever!

²⁴ Those who erred in spirit shall come to understanding, and those who murmured shall learn the teaching.

¹² So I will do this to you, O Israel: Because of this I will do to you, prepare to meet your God, O Israel.

⁵ Behold, I am sending you Elijah the prophet before the coming of the great and dreadful day of Jehovah. ⁶ And he shall turn the heart of the fathers to the sons, and the heart of the sons to their fathers, that I not come and strike the earth with utter destruction. END OF THE OLD TESTAMENT

⁴ And John himself had his clothing from hairs of a camel, and a belt of leather about his loin. And his food was locusts and wild honey.

⁷ But seeing many of the Pharisees and Sadducees coming to his baptism, he said to them, Offspring of vipers! Who warned you to flee from the wrath to come? ⁸ Therefore, bring forth fruits worthy of repentance. ⁹ And do not think to say within yourselves, We have a father, Abraham. For I say to you that God is able to raise up children to Abraham from these stones. ¹⁰ But already the axe is even laid at the root of the trees; therefore, any tree not bringing forth good fruit is cut down and is thrown into fire. ¹¹ I indeed baptize you in water to repentance; but He who is coming after me is stronger than I, whose sandals I am not fit to carry. He will baptize you in the Holy Spirit and fire, ¹² whose fan is in His hand, and He will cleanse His floor and will gather His wheat into the barn. But He will burn up the chaff with fire that cannot be put out.

¹⁴ And if you are willing to receive, he is Elijah, the one about to come.

⁴ For John said to him, It is not lawful for you to have her.

¹¹ And answering, Jesus said to them, Elijah indeed comes first and shall restore all things. ¹² But I say to you, Elijah has already come, and they did not know him, but did to him whatever they desired. So also the Son of man is about to suffer by them.

²⁹ And answering, he said, I will not. But afterward, feeling sorry, he went. ³⁰ And coming to the second, he said the same. And answering, he said, I go, sir; but he did not leave. ³¹ Which of the two did the will of the father? They said to Him, The first. Jesus said to them, Truly I say to you, the tax collectors and the harlots go before you into the kingdom of God. ³² For John came to you in the way of righteousness, and you did not believe him. But the tax-collectors and the harlots believed him. And seeing, you did not repent afterwards to believe him.

¹¹ And they asked Him, saying, Do the scribes say that Elijah must come first? ¹² And answering, He said to them, Indeed, Elijah coming first restores all things. And how it has been written of the Son of man that He suffer many things and be despised! ¹³ But I say to you, Elijah also has come and they did to him whatever they desired, even as it has been written of him.

¹⁶ And he will turn many of the sons of Israel to the Lord their God.

⁷ Then he said to the crowds going out to be baptized by him, Offspring of vipers! Who warned you to flee from the coming wrath? ⁸ Then bring forth fruits worthy of repentance, and do not begin to say within yourselves, We have Abraham as father. For I say to you that God is able to raise up children to Abraham out of these stones. ⁹ And also the axe is already laid to the root of the trees; therefore, every tree not producing good fruit is being cut down and being thrown into the fire. ¹⁰ And the crowd asked him, saying, What then shall we do? ¹¹ And answering, he said to them, The one that has two tunics, let him give to him that has not. And the one that has foods, let him do the same. ¹² And tax collectors also came to be baptized. And they said to him, Teacher, what shall we do? ¹³ And he said to them, Continue to do no more than that commanded to you. ¹⁴ And also ones serving as soldiers asked him, saying, And we, what shall we do? And he said to them, Do not shake violently anyone nor accuse falsely, and be satisfied with your pay.

¹³ who were born not of bloods, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but were born of God.

²¹ And they asked him, What, then? Are you Elijah? And he said, I am not. Are you the Prophet? And he answered, No. ²² Then they said to him, Who are you, that we may give an answer to those sending us? What do you say about yourself? ²³ He said, "I am a voice crying in the wilderness:" "Make straight" "the way of the Lord," as Isaiah the prophet said. Isa. 40:3 ²⁴ And those who had been sent were of the Pharisees. ²⁵ And they asked him and said to him, Why then do you baptize, if you are not the Christ, nor Elijah, nor the Prophet? ²⁶ John answered them, saying, I baptize in water, but One stands in your midst whom you do not know; ²⁷ This One it is who has come after me, who has been before me, of whom I am not worthy that I should loose the thong of His sandal. ²⁸ These things took place in Bethabara beyond the Jordan, where John was baptizing. ²⁹ On the morrow, John sees Jesus coming toward him and said, Behold! The Lamb of God, taking away the sin of the world! ³⁰ This is He about whom I said, After me comes a Man who has been before me, for He was preceding me.

³⁴ And I have seen and have witnessed that this One is the Son of God.

²⁸ You yourselves witness to me that I said, I am not the Christ, but that having been sent, I am going before that One.

³³ Then at once I sent to you, and you did well to come. Now then, we are all present before God to hear all the things having been commanded you by God.

²³ and that He make known the riches of His glory on vessels of mercy which He before prepared for glory,

⁹ Or do you not know that unjust ones will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be led astray, neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor abusers, nor homosexuals, ¹⁰ nor thieves, nor covetous ones, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor plunderers shall inherit the kingdom of God. ¹¹ And some were these things, but you were washed, but you were sanctified, but you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and in the Spirit of our God.

¹² giving thanks to the Father, who has made us fit for a share of the inheritance of the saints in light,

²¹ Then if anyone purifies himself from these, he will be a vessel to honor, having been sanctified and made useful to the Master, having been prepared to every good work.

⁹ But you are "an elect race," "a royal priesthood," "a holy nation," "a people for possession," so that "you may openly speak of the virtues" of the One who has called you out of darkness into His marvelous light; LXX-Ex. 23:22; MT-Ex. 19:5, 6

¹¹ Then all these being about to be dissolved, what sort ought you to be in holy behavior and godliness, ¹² looking for and hastening the coming of the Day of God, through which the heavens having been set afire will be dissolved; and burning, the elements will melt? ¹³ But according to His promise, we look for "new heavens and a new earth," in which righteousness dwells. Isa. 65:17 ¹⁴ Because of this, beloved, looking for these things, be diligent, spotless, and without blemish, to be found in peace by Him.

²⁸ And now, little children, abide in Him, that when He is revealed we may have confidence, and not be shamed from Him in His coming.

⁴ And I saw thrones, and they sat on them. And judgment was given to them, and the souls of the ones having been beheaded because of the witness of Jesus, and because of the Word of God, and who had not worshiped the beast nor its image, and had not received the mark on their forehead and on their hand. And they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years.

⁸ And he said, My Lord Jehovah, by what shall I know that I shall inherit it?

¹² And Sarah laughed within herself, saying, After my being old, shall there be pleasure to me; my lord also being old?

²¹ And Moses said, The people in whose midst I am are six hundred thousand footmen; and You, You have said, I shall give flesh to them, and they shall eat a month of days. ²² Shall flock and herd be slaughtered for them, so one may find for them? Ar all the fish in the sea to be gathered for them, that one may find for them? ²³ And Jehovah said to Moses, Is the hand of Jehovah shortened? Now you shall see whether My word shall come to pass to you or not.

³⁶ And Gideon said to God, If You are to deliver Israel by my hand, as You have spoken, ³⁷ behold, I am placing the fleece of wool on the grain floor; if the dew is on the fleece only, and dryness on all the ground, then I will know that You will deliver Israel by my hand, as You have spoken. ³⁸ And it was so. And he rose early on the next day and wrung the fleece, and drained dew out of the fleece, a bowl full of water. ³⁹ And Gideon said to God, Let not Your anger glow against me, and I shall speak only this time. Please let me try only this time with the fleece; please let there be dryness on the fleece alone; and let there be dew on all the ground. ⁴⁰ And God did so on that night, and there was dryness only on the fleece, and there was dew on all the ground.

² And the third officer on whose hand the king leaned replied to the man of God, and said, Behold, if Jehovah would make windows in the heavens, this thing might be. And he said, Behold, you shall see with your eyes, but you shall not eat of it.

²² And Hezekiah said, What is the sign that I will go up to the house of Jehovah?

⁷ And no child was born to them, because Elizabeth was barren. And both were advanced in their days.

³⁴ But Mariam said to the angel, How will this be since I do not know a man?

¹⁶ And I heard a man's voice between the banks of Ulai, and he called and said, Gabriel, make this one understand the vision.

²¹ And while I was setting my prayer in order, then the man Gabriel, whom I had seen in the vision at the beginning, touched me in my severe exhaustion about the time of the evening sacrifice. ²² And he enlightened me and talked with me, and said, O Daniel, I have now come out to give you skill in understanding. ²³ At the beginning of your prayers the word came forth, and I have come to explain it . For you are greatly beloved. Then understand the matter and pay attention to the vision:

¹⁰ See that you do not despise one of these little ones, for I tell you that their angels in Heaven continually look on the face of My Father in Heaven.

²⁶ And in the sixth month, the angel Gabriel was sent by God to a city of Galilee named Nazareth,

¹⁰ And He said, I will certainly return to you at the time of life; and, Behold! A son shall be to your wife Sarah. And Sarah was listening at the entrance to the tent, and it was behind Him. ¹¹ And Abraham and Sarah were aged, going on in days. The custom as to women had ceased to be to Sarah. ¹² And Sarah laughed within herself, saying, After my being old, shall there be pleasure to me; my lord also being old? ¹³ And Jehovah said to Abraham, Why has Sarah laughed at this, saying, Indeed, truly shall I bear, even I who am old? ¹⁴ Is anything too difficult for Jehovah? At the appointed time I will return to you, at the time of life, and there will be a son to Sarah. ¹⁵ And Sarah denied, saying, I did not laugh; for she was afraid. And He said, No, but you did laugh.

¹¹ And Jehovah said to him, Who has made man's mouth? Or who makes the dumb, or the deaf, or the seeing, or the blind? is it not I, Jehovah?

¹² And Jehovah said to Moses and Aaron, Because you did not believe in Me, to sanctify Me before the eyes of the sons of Israel, therefore you shall not bring in this congregation to the land which I have given to them.

¹⁹ And the third officer had answered the man of God, and said, And behold, if Jehovah should make windows in the heavens, it shall be according to this word. And he said, Behold, you shall see with your eyes, but you shall not eat from there.

⁹ And the head of Ephraim is Samaria, and the head of Samaria is Remaliah's son. If you will not believe, surely you will not be established.

²⁶ And I will make your tongue cling to your palate, and you shall be dumb. And there shall not be to them a reproving man. For they are a rebellious house.

²⁷ In that day your mouth shall be opened to the escaped one, and you shall speak and not be dumb any longer. And you shall be to them a sign, and they shall know that I am Jehovah.

¹⁹ And answering them, He said, O unbelieving generation! How long will I be with you? How long shall I endure you? Bring him to Me.

¹⁴ Afterward, as they reclined, He was revealed to the Eleven. And He reproached their unbelief and hardness of heart, because they did not believe those who had seen Him, having been raised.

²² But coming out, he was not able to speak to them, and they recognized that he had seen a vision in the Holy Place. And he was making signs to them and continued dumb.

⁴⁵ And blessed is she believing, because there will be a completion to the things spoken to her from the Lord.

³ For what if some did not believe? Will their unbelief destroy the faith of God?

¹³ if we are unfaithful, that One remains faithful; He is not able to deny Himself.

² on hope of eternal life which the God who does not lie promised before the eternal times,

¹⁸ that through two unchangeable things, in which it was not possible for God to lie, we might have a strong consolation, those having fled to lay hold on the hope set before us,

¹⁹ I, as many "as I love, I rebuke and I chasten." Be zealous, then, and repent. Prov. 3:12

²³ Speak to Aaron and to his sons, saying, In this way you shall bless the sons of Israel, saying to them: ²⁴ Jehovah bless you and keep you; ²⁵ Jehovah cause His face to shine on you, and be gracious to you; ²⁶ Jehovah lift up His face to you, and give you peace. ²⁷ So they shall put My name on the sons of Israel, and I Myself will bless them.

⁶² And they signaled to his father, what he might desire him to be called.

²⁴ Then Simon Peter signaled to him to ask whom it might be of whom He spoke.

¹⁷ And signaling to them with the hand to be silent, he told them how the Lord led him out of the prison. And he said, Report these things to James and the brothers. And going out, he went to another place.

³³ But they dragged Alexander forward out of the crowd, the Jews thrusting him in front. And waving his hand, Alexander desired to defend himself to the mob.

⁴⁰ And he allowing him, standing on the stairs, Paul signaled with his hand to the people. And much silence taking place, he spoke in the Hebrew dialect, saying,

⁵ And he commanded them, saying, This is the thing that you shall do. A third of you shall go in on the sabbath for keepers of the watch of the king's house. ⁶ A third shall be at the Sur Gate. A third shall be at the gate behind the runners. And you shall keep the watch of the house, alternately. ⁷ And two parts of you, all who go out on the sabbath, they shall keep the watch of the house of Jehovah about the king.

²⁵ And their brothers in their villages were to come in for seven days from time to time with them.

¹ And Jehovah visited Sarah as He had said. And the Lord did to Sarah as He had spoken. ² And Sarah conceived and bore a son to Abraham in his old age, at the time appointed, that which God had spoken with him.

²² And God remembered Rachel; and God listened to her and opened her womb. ²³ And she conceived and bore a son. And she said, God has taken away my reproach.

⁶ And even to vexation her rival provoked her, so as to make her tremble, because Jehovah had shut up her womb.

¹⁹ And they rose up early in the morning and worshiped before Jehovah. And they went back and came to their house in Ramah. And Elkanah knew his wife Hannah, and Jehovah remembered her. ²⁰ And it happened when the time had come around, Hannah conceived and bore a son. And she called his name Samuel, saying, Because I have asked him of Jehovah.

²¹ So Jehovah visited Hannah, and she conceived and bore three sons and two daughters. And the boy Samuel grew up with Jehovah. ²² And Eli was very old, and had heard all that his sons did to Israel, and how they lay with the women who assembled by troops at the door of the tabernacle of the congregation.

¹ And in that day seven women shall take hold of one man, saying, We will eat our own bread and wear our own clothing, only let your name be called on us; collect our shame.

¹ Rejoice, unfruitful one who never bore; break out a song and shout, you who never travailed. For the sons of the desolate one are more than the sons of the married woman, says Jehovah. ² Make the place of your tent larger, and let them stretch out the curtains of your dwellings. Do not spare, lengthen your cords and strengthen your stakes. ³ For you shall break forth on the right hand and on the left. And your seed shall possess nations, and people will inhabit ruined cities. ⁴ Do not fear, for you shall not be shamed, nor shall you be abashed, for you shall not be wounded. For you shall forget the shame of your youth, and you shall not remember the reproach of your widowhood any more.

¹³ But the angel said to him, Do not fear, Zacharias, because your prayer was heard, and your wife Elizabeth will bear a son to you, and you shall call his name John.

²³ And coming, he lived in a city called Nazareth, so as to fulfill that spoken by the prophets, He shall be called a Nazarene. No OT passage

⁴ And Joseph also went from Galilee, out of the city of Nazareth to Judea, to the city of David which is called Bethlehem, because of his being of the house and family of David,

⁴⁵ Philip finds Nathanael and said to him, We have found the One of whom Moses wrote in the Law and the Prophets, Jesus the son of Joseph, from Nazareth. ⁴⁶ And Nathanael said to him, Can any good thing be out of Nazareth? Philip said to him, Come and see.

⁴¹ Others said, This is the Christ. But others said, No! For does the Christ come out of Galilee?

¹⁵ And I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your seed and her seed; He will bruise your head, and you shall bruise His heel.

¹⁴ So, The Lord Himself will give you a sign: Behold! The virgin will conceive and will bring forth a son; and she shall call His name Immanuel.

²² Until when will you turn to and fro, O faithless daughter? For Jehovah has created a new thing in the land: a woman shall enclose a man.

¹⁶ and Jacob fathered Joseph, the husband to be of Mary, out of whom Jesus was born, the One called Christ.

¹⁸ And the birth of Jesus Christ was this way (for His mother Mary had been betrothed to Joseph) before they came together, she was discovered to be pregnant in womb by the Holy Spirit.

²⁰ And as he was thinking about these things, behold, an angel of the Lord was seen by him in a dream, saying, Joseph, son of David, do not be afraid to take Mary as your wife. For that in her is fathered by the Holy Spirit. ²¹ And she will bear a son, and you shall call His name Jesus, for He shall save His people from their sins.

²³ "Behold! The virgin will conceive in her womb and will bear a son, and they will call His name Emmanuel" (which translated is, God with us). Isa. 7:14

⁴ And Joseph also went from Galilee, out of the city of Nazareth to Judea, to the city of David which is called Bethlehem, because of his being of the house and family of David, ⁵ to be registered with Mariam, she having been betrothed to him as wife, she being pregnant.

²⁴ Most blessed among women is Jael, the wife of Heber the Kenite she is blessed among women in the tent.

¹² And the Angel of Jehovah appeared to him, and said to him, Jehovah is with you, mighty warrior.

²⁹ Many are the daughters who work ably, but you rise above them all! ³⁰ Favor is deceitful, and beauty is vain, but a woman who fears Jehovah, she shall be praised. ³¹ Give her of the fruit of her hands, and let her works praise her in the gates.

⁵ Fear not, for I am with you; I will bring your seed from the sunrise; and I will gather you from the sunset.

¹⁸ For, behold, today I have made you a fortified city, and an iron pillar, and bronze walls against the whole land, against the kings of Judah, against her princes, against her priests, and to the people of the land. ¹⁹ And they shall fight against you; but they shall not overcome you. For I am with you to deliver you, declares Jehovah.

¹⁹ And he said, O man greatly beloved, do not fear. Peace to you. Be strong. Yea, be strong! And when he had spoken to me I was made strong. And I said, Speak, my lord, for you have made me strong.

² Take words with you and return to Jehovah. Say to Him, Take away all iniquity and receive us well, that we may repay with the calves of our lips.

⁴⁸ But answering, He said to the one speaking to Him, Who is My mother? And who are My brothers?

⁴² And she cried out with a loud voice and said, Blessed are you among women and blessed is the fruit of your womb!

²⁷ And as He spoke these things, it happened that a certain woman lifted up her voice out of the crowd and said to Him, Blessed is the womb having borne You and the breasts which You sucked. ²⁸ But He said, No; rather, blessed are those hearing the Word of God, and keeping it.

¹⁰ because I am with you, and no one shall set on you to oppress you; because there is much people to Me in this city.

⁶ to the praise of the glory of His grace in which He favored us in the One having been loved,

¹³ And Gideon said to Him, Oh my Lord, if Jehovah is with us, then why has all this happened to us? And where are all His wonders which our fathers recounted to us, saying, Did not Jehovah bring us up out of Egypt? And now Jehovah has left us, and has given us into the hands of Midian. ¹⁴ And Jehovah turned to him and said, Go in this strength of yours, and you shall deliver Israel out of the hand of Midian. Have I not sent you? ¹⁵ And he said to Him, Oh my Lord, with what shall I deliver Israel? Behold, my family is the weakest in Manasseh, and I the least in my father's house.

²⁰ And as to the asses which were lost to you three days ago, do not set your heart on them, for they have been found. And to whom is all the desire of Israel? Is it not to you and to all the house of your father? ²¹ And Saul answered and said, Am I not a Benjamite, of the smallest of the tribes of Israel? And my family is the least of all the families of the tribe of Benjamin. And why have you spoken to me according to this word?

⁴⁹ But seeing Him walking on the sea, they thought it to be a ghost. And they cried out. ⁵⁰ For all saw Him, and were troubled. And immediately He spoke to them and said to them, Have courage. I AM! Do not fear.

⁵ And entering into the tomb, they saw a young man sitting on the right, having been clothed in a white robe. And they were much amazed. ⁶ But He said to them, Do not be amazed. You seek Jesus the Nazarene who has been crucified. He was raised. He is not here. See the place where they put Him?

¹² And seeing this, Zacharias was troubled, and fear fell on him.

⁶⁶ And all who heard laid them up in their hearts, saying, What then will this child be? And the hand of the Lord was with him.

¹⁹ And Mariam kept all these words, meditating in her heart.

⁵¹ And He went with them and came to Nazareth and was being subject to them. And His mother carefully kept all these words in her heart.

¹⁷ And as Peter was doubting within himself what the vision which he saw might be, even behold, the men who had been sent from Cornelius stood on the porch asking out the house of Simon.

¹⁰ Do not fear, for I am with you; do not gaze about, for I am your God; I will make you strong; yea, I will help you; yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of My righteousness.

¹⁴ Fear not, worm of Jacob, men of Israel; I will help you; states Jehovah, and your Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel.

¹ But now so says Jehovah who formed you, O Jacob; and He who made you, O Israel: Fear not, for I have redeemed you; I called you by your name; you are Mine. ² When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow you. When you walk in the fire, you shall not be burned, nor shall the flame kindle on you. ³ For I am Jehovah your God, the Holy One of Israel, your Savior. I gave Egypt for your atonement; Ethiopia and Seba instead of you. ⁴ Since you were precious in My eyes, you are honored, and I love you; and I give men instead of you; and peoples instead of your soul.

² So says Jehovah, who made you and formed you from the womb. He helps you. Do not fear, My servant Jacob; and you, Jeshurun whom I have chosen.

³² Stop being afraid, little flock, because your Father was pleased to give you the kingdom.

⁹ And the Lord said to Paul through a vision in the night, Do not fear, but speak, and do not keep silence; ¹⁰ because I am with you, and no one shall set on you to oppress you; because there is much people to Me in this city.

²⁴ saying, Do not fear, Paul, You must stand before Caesar. And, behold, God has granted to you all those sailing with you.

³¹ What then shall we say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?

⁶ So that we may boldly say, " The Lord is my helper, and I will not be afraid. What shall man do to me?" LXX-Psa. 117:6; MT-Psa. 118:6

²⁵ and did not know her until she bore her son, the First-born. And he called His name Jesus.

²⁷ to a virgin who had been betrothed to a man whose name was Joseph, of the house of David; and the virgin's name was Mariam.

⁴ But when the fullness of the time came, God sent forth His Son, having come into being out of a woman, having come under Law,

¹¹ even from the day I commanded judges to be over My people Israel. And I will cause you to rest from all your enemies. And Jehovah declares to you that Jehovah will make you a house. ¹² When your days are fulfilled, and you lie with your fathers, then I shall raise up your seed after you, who shall come out from your bowels, and I shall establish his kingdom. ¹³ He shall build a house for My Name, and I shall establish the throne of his kingdom forever.

¹⁶ And your house shall be established, and your kingdom before you forever. Your throne shall be established forever.

¹¹ Jehovah has sworn to David in truth; He will not turn from it; I will set one of the fruit of your body on the throne for you.

⁶ For a Child is born; to us a Son is given; and the government is on His shoulder; and His name is called Wonderful, Counselor, the mighty God, the everlasting Father, the Prince of Peace. ⁷ There is no end to the increase of His government and of peace on the throne of David, and on His kingdom, to order it, and to sustain it with justice and with righteousness, from now and forever. The zeal of Jehovah of Hosts will do this.

⁵ And in mercy the throne shall be founded; and he shall sit on it in truth in the tabernacle of David, judging and seeking justice, and swift in righteousness.

⁵ Behold, the days come, says Jehovah, that I will raise to David a righteous Branch, and a King shall reign and act wisely, and shall do justice and righteousness in the earth. ⁶ In His days Judah shall be saved, and Israel shall dwell safely. And this is His name by which He shall be called, Jehovah our Righteousness.

¹⁵ In those days, and at that time, I will cause a Branch of righteousness to grow up to David. And He shall do judgment and righteousness in the land. ¹⁶ In those days Judah shall be saved, and Jerusalem shall dwell in safety. And this is the name that shall be called on her: JEHOVAH OUR RIGHTEOUSNESS. ¹⁷ For so says Jehovah, Not a man sitting on the throne of the house of Israel will be cut off to David.

²² So says the Lord Jehovah: I will also take, even I, of the top of the highest cedar and I will set it; I will crop off a tender one from the first of its young twig, and I will plant it on a high and lofty mountain. ²³ I will plant it in a high mountain of Israel. And it will bear boughs and produce fruit and will become a majestic cedar. And every bird of every wing shall dwell under it; they shall dwell in the shadow of its branches. ²⁴ And all the trees of the field shall know that I, Jehovah, have brought down the high tree. and have exalted the low tree, and have dried up the green tree, and have made the dry tree flourish. I, Jehovah, have spoken and acted.

²³ And I will raise up over them one Shepherd. And He shall feed them. My servant David, He shall feed them, and He shall be their Shepherd. ²⁴ And I, Jehovah, will be their God, and My servant David shall be a ruler among them. I, Jehovah, have spoken.

²⁴ And My Servant, David, shall be King over them. And there shall be one Shepherd to all of them. And they shall walk in My judgments and keep My statutes, and do them. ²⁵ And they shall dwell on the land that I have given to my servant, to Jacob, there where your fathers dwelt in it. And they shall dwell on it, they and their sons, and the sons of their sons, forever. And My Servant David shall be a ruler to them forever.

¹¹ In that day I will raise up the booth of David that has fallen, and I will wall up its breaks. And I will raise up its ruins, and I will build it as the days of old; ¹² so that they may possess the remnant of Edom, and all the nations on whom My name is called, declares Jehovah who is doing this.

¹ The Book of the genealogy of Jesus Christ the son of David, the son of Abraham:

¹¹ I indeed baptize you in water to repentance; but He who is coming after me is stronger than I, whose sandals I am not fit to carry. He will baptize you in the Holy Spirit and fire,

⁴² The queen of the south will be raised in the Judgment with this generation and will condemn it. For she came from the ends of the earth to hear the wisdom of Solomon, and, behold, a Greater-than-Solomon is here.

¹⁸ And coming up Jesus talked with them, saying, All authority in Heaven and on earth was given to Me.

⁷ And crying with a loud voice, he said, What is to me and to You, Jesus, Son of the most high God? I adjure You by God, do not torment me.

⁶¹ But He was silent and answered nothing. Again the high priest questioned Him, and said to Him, Are you the Christ, the Son of the Blessed?

¹⁵ For he shall be great in the eyes of the Lord, and he shall not drink wine or strong drink. And he will be filled of the Holy Spirit, even from his mother's womb.

³⁵ And answering, the angel said to her, The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you, and for this reason that Holy One being born of you will be called Son of God.

¹⁶ John answered all, saying, I indeed baptize you with water; but He stronger than I comes, of whom I am not fit to loosen the thong of His sandals. He will baptize you in the Holy Spirit and fire,

³⁵ But love your enemies, and do good, and lend, hoping for nothing in return; and your reward will be much; and you will be sons of the Most High, for He is kind to the unthankful and evil ones.

³⁵ The Father loves the Son and has given all things into His hand. ³⁶ The one believing into the Son has everlasting life; but the one disobeying the Son will not see life, but the wrath of God remains on him.

²¹ For even as the Father raises the dead, and gives life, so also the Son gives life to whomever He wills. ²² For the Father judges no one, but has given all judgment to the Son, ²³ so that all may honor the Son, even as they honor the Father. The one not honoring the Son does not honor the Father who has sent Him. ²⁴ Truly, truly, I say to you, the one who hears My word, and believes the One who has sent Me, has everlasting life, and does not come into judgment, but has passed out of death into life. ²⁵ Truly, truly, I say to you that an hour is coming, and now is, when the dead will hear the voice of the Son of God, and the ones hearing will live. ²⁶ For even as the Father has life in Himself, so He gave also to the Son to have life in Himself. ²⁷ And He also gave authority to Him to execute judgment, for He is the Son of man. ²⁸ Do not marvel at this, for an hour is coming in which all those in the tombs will hear His voice. ²⁹ And they will come out, the ones having done good into a resurrection of life; and the ones having practiced evil into a resurrection of judgment.

⁶⁹ And we have believed and have known that You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.

³⁴ The crowd answered Him, We heard out of the Law that the Christ remains forever. And how do you say that the Son of man must be lifted up? Who is this Son of man?

³⁰ Being a prophet, then, and knowing that God swore with an oath to him that of the fruit of his loin, as concerning flesh, to raise the Christ to sit on his throne, see Psa. 132:11

³⁶ Then assuredly, let all the house of Israel acknowledge that God made Him both Lord and Christ, this same Jesus whom you crucified.

⁴⁸ But the Most High does not dwell in temples made by hand, as the prophet says,

¹⁷ Following after Paul and us, she cried out, saying, These men are slaves of the Most High God, who are announcing to us a way of salvation!

⁴ who was marked out Son of God in power, according to the Spirit of holiness, by resurrection of the dead, Jesus Christ our Lord;

²⁰ which He worked in Christ in raising Him from the dead; yea, He seated Him at His right hand in the heavenlies, Psa. 110:1 ²¹ far above all principality, and authority, and power, and lordship, and every name being named, not only in this age, but also in the coming age; ²² and He "put all things under His feet" and gave Him to be Head over all things to the church, Psa. 8:6 ²³ which is His body: the fullness of Him filling all things in all;

⁹ Because of this also God highly exalted Him and gave Him a name above every name, ¹⁰ that at the name of Jesus "every knee should bow," of heavenly ones, and earthly ones, and ones under the earth, ¹¹ and "every tongue should confess" that Jesus Christ is "Lord," to the glory of God the Father. Isa. 45:23

² in these last days He spoke to us in the Son, whom He appointed heir of all; through whom He indeed made the ages; ³ who being the shining splendor of His glory, and the express image of His essence, and upholding all things by the word of His power, having made purification of our sins through Himself, He sat down on the right of the Majesty on high, Psa. 110:1 ⁴ having become so much better than the angels, He has inherited a name more excellent than they. ⁵ For to which of the angels did He ever say, "You are My Son; today I have begotten You"? And again, "I will be a Father to Him, and He shall be a Son to Me." Psa. 2:7; 2 Sam. 7:16 ⁶ And again, when He brought the First-born into the world, He said, "And let all the angels of God worship Him." LXX-Deut. 32:43, MT-No Equiv ⁷ And as to the angels, He said, "Who makes His angels spirits, and His ministers a flame of fire;" LXX-Psa. 103:4; MT-Psa. 104:4 ⁸ but as to the Son, "Your throne, O God, is forever and ever, A scepter of righteousness is the scepter of Your kingdom;

⁷ And to the angel of the church in Philadelphia, write: These things says the Holy One, the True One, the One having "the key of David," "the One opening, and no one shuts; and shuts, and no one opens:" Isa. 22:22

⁶ Your throne, O God, is forever and ever; the scepter of Your kingdom is a scepter of uprightness.

³⁵ Once I have sworn by My holiness; I will not lie to David. ³⁶ His seed shall be forever, and his throne as the sun before Me. ³⁷ Like the moon, it shall be forever; and a faithful witness in the sky. Selah.

⁴⁴ And in the days of these kings, the God of Heaven shall set up a kingdom which shall never be destroyed. And the kingdom shall not be left to other people. It shall break in pieces and destroy all these kingdoms, and it shall stand forever.

¹³ I was looking in the night visions. And behold! One like the Son of Man came with the clouds of the heavens. And He came to the Ancient of Days. And they brought Him near before Him. ¹⁴ And dominion was given to Him, and glory, and a kingdom, that all peoples, nations, and languages should serve Him. His dominion is an everlasting dominion which shall not pass away, and His kingdom that which shall not be destroyed.

¹⁸ But the saints of the Most High shall receive the kingdom and possess the kingdom forever, even forever and ever.

²⁷ And the kingdom and rulership, and the greatness of the kingdom under all the heavens shall be given to the people of the saints of the Most High, whose kingdom is an everlasting kingdom. And all kingdoms shall serve and obey Him.

²¹ And deliverers shall go up into the mountain of Zion to judge the mountain of Esau, and the kingdom shall be to Jehovah.

⁷ And I will make the lame into a remnant, and her who was cast off into a strong nation. And Jehovah shall reign over them in Mount Zion from now on, and to forever.

⁶ Not, however, that God's word has failed. For not all those of Israel are Israel,

²⁴ Then is the end, when He delivers the kingdom to God, even the Father, when He makes to cease all rule and all authority and power. ²⁵ for it is right for Him to reign until He puts all the enemies under His feet; Psa. 110:1

²⁹ And if you are of Christ, then you are a seed of Abraham, even heirs according to promise.

¹⁶ And as many as shall walk by this rule, peace and mercy be on them and on the Israel of God.

³ For we are the circumcision, the ones who worship by the Spirit of God, and who glory in Christ Jesus, and who do not trust in flesh.

⁸ but as to the Son, "Your throne, O God, is forever and ever, A scepter of righteousness is the scepter of Your kingdom;

¹⁵ And the seventh angel trumpeted. And there were great voices in Heaven, saying, The kingdoms of the world became our Lord's, even of His Christ; and He shall reign forever and ever.

⁴ And I saw thrones, and they sat on them. And judgment was given to them, and the souls of the ones having been beheaded because of the witness of Jesus, and because of the Word of God, and who had not worshiped the beast nor its image, and had not received the mark on their forehead and on their hand. And they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years. ⁵ But the rest of the dead did not live again until the thousand years were ended. This is the first resurrection. ⁶ Blessed and holy is the one having part in the first resurrection. The second death has no authority over these, but they will be priests of God and of Christ, and will reign with Him a thousand years.

³ And every curse will no longer be. And the throne of God and the Lamb will be in it; and His slaves will serve Him. ⁴ And they will see His face; and His name will be on their foreheads. ⁵ And night will not be there; and they have no need of a lamp or a light of the sun, because the Lord God will shed light on them. And they shall reign forever and ever.

⁸ Then Manoah prayed to Jehovah, and said, O my Lord, the Man of God whom You sent, please let Him come again to us and direct us what we shall do to the boy being born. ⁹ And God listened to the voice of Manoah, and the Angel of God came again to the woman. And she was sitting in a field; and her husband Manoah was not with her. ¹⁰ And the woman hurried and ran, and told her husband, and said to him, Behold, He has appeared to me, the Man who came to me that day. ¹¹ And Manoah rose up and went after his wife, and came to the Man. And he said to Him, Are You the Man who spoke to the woman? And He said, I am . ¹² And Manoah said, Then let Your words come about. What shall be the way of the boy, and his undertaking?

⁶ Both trembling and being astonished he said, Lord, what do you desire me to do? And the Lord said to him, Rise up and go into the city, and it will be told you what you must do.

⁴ Who gives a clean thing out of an unclean? No one!

¹⁶ How much more is filthy man loathed, who drinks iniquity like water!

⁴ How then can man be justified with God? Or how can one who is horn of a woman be pure?

⁷ I will declare concerning the statute of Jehovah: He said to Me, You are My Son. Today I have begotten You.

⁵ Behold, I was brought forth in iniquity, and in sin my mother conceived me.

²⁰ And as he was thinking about these things, behold, an angel of the Lord was seen by him in a dream, saying, Joseph, son of David, do not be afraid to take Mary as your wife. For that in her is fathered by the Holy Spirit.

³ And coming near to Him, the Tempter said, If You are the Son of God, speak that these stones may become loaves.

³³ And those in the boat came and worshiped Him, saying, Truly, You are the Son of God.

⁶³ But Jesus kept silent. And answering, the high priest said to Him, I adjure you by the living God that you tell us if you are the Christ, the Son of God. ⁶⁴ Jesus said to him, You said it . I tell you more. From this time you shall see the Son of man sitting off the right hand of power, and coming on the clouds of the heavens. Psa. 110:1; LXX-Dan. 7:13

⁵⁴ But the centurion and those with him guarding Jesus, seeing the earthquake and the things taking place, they feared exceedingly, saying, Truly this One was Son of God.

²⁴ saying, What is to us and to You, Jesus, Nazarene? Have You come to destroy us? I know You, who You are, the Holy One of God.

³¹ And behold! You will conceive in your womb and bear a Son, and you will call His name Jesus. ³² This One will be great and will be called Son of the Most High. And the Lord God will give Him the throne of His father David.

⁴⁹ Nathanael answered and said to Him, Rabbi, You are the Son of God; You are the King of Israel.

³⁶ And as they were going along the highway they came on some water. And the eunuch said, Behold, water! What prevents me from being baptized?

²⁰ I have been crucified with Christ, and I live; yet no longer I, but Christ lives in me. And the life I now live in the flesh, I live by faith toward the Son of God, the One loving me and giving Himself over on my behalf.

³ among whom we also all conducted ourselves in times past in the lusts of our flesh, doing the things willed of the flesh and of the understandings, and were by nature the children of wrath, even as the rest.

¹⁵ For we do not have a high priest not being able to sympathize with our weaknesses but One having been tried in all respects according to our likeness, apart from sin.

²⁶ For such a High Priest was fitting for us: holy, harmless, undefiled, and separated from sinners, and having become higher than the heavens; ²⁷ who has no need, as do the high priests, to offer sacrifices day by day, first for His own sins, then for those of the people. For He did this once for all, offering up Himself. ²⁸ For the Law makes men high priests who have infirmity, but the word of the swearing of an oath, after the Law, appoints the Son forever, having been perfected.

²³ And Jehovah said to Moses, Is the hand of Jehovah shortened? Now you shall see whether My word shall come to pass to you or not.

² As you know, I also know; I do not fall short of you.

¹⁷ Ah, Lord Jehovah! You have made the heavens and the earth by Your great power and Your outstretched arm; not any thing is too difficult for You,

²⁷ Behold, I am Jehovah, the God of all flesh. Is anything too difficult for Me?

⁶ So says Jehovah of hosts: If it is marvelous in the eyes of the remnant of this people in those days, will it also be marvelous in My eyes? says Jehovah of hosts.

²⁶ But looking on them, Jesus said to them, With men this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.

²⁷ But looking at them, Jesus said, From men it is impossible, but not from God. For all things are possible from God.

²⁷ But He said, The things impossible with men are possible with God.

²¹ who will transform our body of humiliation, for it to be conformed to His body of glory, according to the working of His power, even to put all things under Himself.

²⁵ And now, O Jehovah God, establish the word which You have spoken concerning Your servant, and concerning his house, forever. And do as You have spoken. ²⁶ And Your name shall be great forever, saying, Jehovah of hosts is God over Israel, and the house of Your servant David is established before You. ²⁷ For You, O Jehovah of hosts, the God of Israel, You have uncovered the ear of Your servant, saying, I will build a house for you. On account of this Your servant has found his heart to pray to You this prayer. ²⁸ And now, O Lord Jehovah, You are God, and Your words are truth, and You speak this goodness to Your servant. ²⁹ And now, let it please You to bless the house of Your servant, to be forever before You. For You, O Lord Jehovah, have spoken, and with Your blessing shall the house of Your servant be blessed forever.

¹⁶ O Jehovah, truly I am Your servant now; I am Your servant, the son of Your handmaid; You have loosed my bonds.

³⁸ Make Your word sure to Your servant, who is devoted to Your fear.

²⁰ and did not stagger by unbelief at the promise of God, but was empowered by faith, giving glory to God, ²¹ and being fully persuaded that what He has promised, He is also able to do.

⁴⁰ And Joshua struck all the land: the heights and the Negeb, and the Lowland, and the slopes, and all their kings; he did not leave a survivor, but he destroyed all that breathed, as Jehovah the God of Israel had commanded.

⁴⁸ And in the hills: Shamir, and Jattir, and Socoh, ⁴⁹ and Dannah, and Kirjath-sannah, which is Debir, ⁵⁰ and Anab, and Eshtemoh, and Anim, ⁵¹ and Goshen, and Holon, and Giloh; eleven cities and their villages, ⁵² Arab and Dumah, and Eshean, ⁵³ and Janum, and Beth-tappuah, and Aphekah, ⁵⁴ and Humtah, and the City of Arba, which is Hebron, and Zior; nine cities and their villages, ⁵⁵ Maon, Carmel and Ziph, and Juttah, ⁵⁶ and Jezreel, and Jokdeam, and Zanoah, ⁵⁷ Cain, Gibeah, and Timnah; ten cities and their villages; ⁵⁸ Halhul, Beth-zur, and Gedor, ⁵⁹ and Maarath, and Beth-anoth, and Eltekon; six cities and their villages;

⁷ And they set apart Kadesh in Galilee, in the hills of Naphtali; and Shechem in the hills of Ephraim; and Kirjath-arba; (it is Hebron) in the hills of Judah.

⁹ And they gave out of the tribe of the sons of Judah, and out of the tribe of the sons of Simeon, these cities which are called by name, ¹⁰ which the sons of Aaron had, being of the families of the Kohathites, who were of the sons of Levi. For theirs was the first lot. ¹¹ And they gave them the City of Arba, the father of Anak (which is Hebron) in the hills of Judah, with its open lands around it.

⁶⁵ And fear came on all those living around them. And in all the hill country of Judea all these things were talked about.

²² And the sons struggled together within her. And she said, If this is right, why am I this way? And she went to ask Jehovah.

¹⁰ I was cast on You from the womb, from My mother's belly, You are my God.

⁴⁴ For behold, as the sound of your greeting came to my ears, the babe in my womb leaped in exultation.

⁶⁷ And his father Zacharias was filled of the Holy Spirit and prophesied, saying,

¹ And full of the Holy Spirit, Jesus returned from the Jordan, and was led by the Spirit into the wilderness.

⁸ Then being filled of the Holy Spirit, Peter said to them, Rulers of the people and elders of Israel,

³ Then brothers, be looking for men among you receiving testimony, seven men full of the Holy Spirit and wisdom, whom we shall appoint over this need.

⁵⁵ But being full of the Holy Spirit, looking intently into the heaven, he saw the glory of God, and Jesus standing at the right of God.

¹⁰ I came to be in the Spirit on the Lord's day, and I heard behind me a great voice, as of a trumpet,

¹⁸ And in your Seed shall all the nations of the earth be blessed because you have obeyed My voice.

⁶ For You have set him blessings forever; You have rejoiced him in the joy of Your face.

² You are the fairest of the sons of man; grace has poured into Your lips; on this account God has blessed You forever.

¹⁷ His name shall be forever; His name shall continue before the sun; and they shall bless themselves by Him; all nations shall call Him blessed. ¹⁸ Blessed is Jehovah God, the God of Israel, who alone does wonderful things. ¹⁹ And blessed is His glorious name forever; and the whole earth is filled with His glory! Amen and amen!

⁴⁸ For He looked upon the humiliation of His slave woman. For, behold, from now on all generations will count me blessed. 1 Sam. 1:11

³⁸ saying, "Blessed is the One coming in the name of the Lord," the King. Peace in Heaven, and glory in the highest! Psa. 118:26

²⁶ For this reason My heart rejoiced, and My tongue was glad; and My flesh also will dwell on hope, ²⁷ because You will not leave My soul in Hades, nor will You give Your Holy One to see corruption. ²⁸ You revealed to Me paths of life; You will fill Me with joy with Your face." LXX-Psa. 15:8-11; MT-Psa. 16:8-11

⁵ whose are the fathers, and from whom is the Christ according to flesh, He being God over all, blessed forever. Amen.

² looking to the Author and Finisher of our faith, Jesus, who for the joy set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, "and sat down at the right" of the throne of God. Psa. 110:1

¹⁰ And she fell on her face and bowed to the earth, and said to him, Why have I found grace in your eyes, that you should notice me, and I a foreigner?

⁴¹ And she rose up and bowed her face to the earth, and said, Behold, let your handmaid be a servant to wash the feet of the servants of my lord.

¹ A Psalm of David. A statement of Jehovah to my Lord: Sit at My right hand, until I place Your enemies as Your footstool.

¹⁴ But John restrained Him, saying, I have need to be baptized by You, and do You come to me?

¹¹ because today a Savior, who is Christ the Lord, was born to you in the city of David.

⁷ For this reason I did not count myself worthy to come to You. But say in a word, and let my servant be cured.

⁴² Even David himself said in the Book of Psalms, "The Lord said to my Lord, Sit at My right hand ⁴³ until I place Your enemies as a footstool of Your feet." LXX-Psa. 109:1; MT-Psa. 110:1 ⁴⁴ Then David calls Him Lord. And how is He his son?

⁵ Then He put water into the basin and began to wash the feet of the disciples, and to wipe off with the towel with which He was girded. ⁶ He then came to Simon Peter. And that one said to Him, Lord, do You wash my feet? ⁷ Jesus answered and said to him, What I am doing, you do not yet know. But you will know after these things. ⁸ Peter said to Him, You may in no way wash my feet to the age. Jesus answered him, Unless I wash you, you have no part with Me.

¹³ You call Me the Teacher, and, the Lord. And you say well, for I AM.

²⁸ And Thomas answered and said to Him, My Lord and my God!

³ doing nothing according to party spirit or self-glory, but in humility, esteeming one another to surpass themselves;

⁸ But, nay, rather I also count all things to be loss because of the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord, for whose sake I have suffered the loss of all things and count them to be trash, that I might gain Christ

²⁰ And they rose early in the morning and went out to the wilderness of Tekoa; and as they went out Jehoshaphat stood and said, Hear me, O Judah and the inhabitants of Jerusalem. Believe in Jehovah your God, and be steadfast; believe in His prophets and prosper.

²⁰ And behold, you shall be silent and not able to speak until the day these things take place, because you did not believe my words which shall be fulfilled in their season.

⁴⁰ Jesus said to her, Did I not say to you that if you would believe you will see the glory of God?

²⁹ Jesus said to him, Because you have seen Me, Thomas, you have believed. Blessed are the ones not seeing and believing.

¹ And Hannah prayed and said: My heart has exulted in Jehovah; my horn has been high in Jehovah. My mouth has been large over my enemies; for I have rejoiced in Your salvation. ² None is holy like Jehovah, for there is none except You; yea, there is no rock like our God. ³ Do not multiply your haughty words; let not arrogance go out from your mouth; for Jehovah is a God of knowledge, and by Him actions are weighed. ⁴ Bows of the mighty are broken; and they that stumble gird on strength. ⁵ They that were full have hired themselves out for bread; and the hungry have ceased, while the barren has borne seven; yea, she who had many sons has languished. ⁶ Jehovah kills, and keeps alive; He brings down and causes to go to Sheol. ⁷ Jehovah brings down, and He gives riches; He brings low; yea, He lifts up high. ⁸ He raised the poor from the dust; He lifts up the needy from the dunghill, to cause them to sit with nobles; yea, He caused them to inherit a throne of honor; for to Jehovah are the pillars of the earth; and He sets the habitable world on them. ⁹ He keeps the feet of His saints, and the wicked are silenced in darkness; for man does not become mighty by power. ¹⁰ They who strive with Jehovah will be smashed; He thunders in the heavens against him; Jehovah judges the ends of the earth, and gives strength to His king, and exalts the horn of His anointed.

² My soul shall make its boast in Jehovah; the humble shall hear and be glad. ³ O magnify Jehovah with me; and let us exalt His name together.

⁹ And my soul shall be joyful in Jehovah; it will rejoice in His salvation.

¹ Of David. Bless Jehovah, O my soul; and all within me, bless His holy name. ² Bless Jehovah, O my soul, and forget not all His rewards;

¹⁵ On account of this, glorify Jehovah in the flames, the name of Jehovah God of Israel, in the coasts of the sea. ¹⁶ We have heard songs from the end of the earth, Honor to the Righteous. But I said, Leanness to me! Leanness to me! Woe to me! Traitors betray, even perfidy; traitors betray!

²⁵ In Jehovah all of the seed of Israel shall be justified, and shall glory.

¹⁰ I will greatly rejoice in Jehovah. My soul shall be joyful in my God. For He clothed me with garments of salvation; He put on me the robe of righteousness, even as a bridegroom puts on his ornament, and as the bride is adorned with her jewels.

¹⁷ Though the fig tree shall not blossom, and fruit is not on the vines; the work of the olive fails, and the fields make no food; the flock is cut off from the fold, and no herd is in the stalls, ¹⁸ yet I will exult in Jehovah; I will rejoice in the God of my salvation.

¹¹ and not only so, but also glorying in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we now received the reconciliation.

³¹ so that even as it has been written, "He that glories, let him glory in" the "Lord." Jer. 9:24

¹⁴ But thanks be to God, He always leading us in triumph in Christ, and the One revealing through us the odor of the knowledge of Him in every place.

⁴ Rejoice in the Lord always. Again I say, Rejoice!

⁸ whom having not seen, you love; in whom not yet seeing, but believing, you exult with unspeakable and having been glorified,

² Behold, God is my salvation! I will trust and not be afraid, for my strength and song is Jah Jehovah; yea, He has become my salvation. ³ And you shall draw waters out of the wells of salvation with joy.

²¹ Declare and bring near; yea, let them consult together. Who has revealed this of old; who has told it from then? Is it not I, Jehovah? And there is no God other than Me; a just God and a Savior; there is none except Me. ²² Turn to Me and be saved, all the ends of the earth; for I am God, and there is no other.

¹⁸ yet I will exult in Jehovah; I will rejoice in the God of my salvation.

¹⁴ Shout for joy, daughter of Zion; shout, Israel! Be glad and rejoice with all the heart, daughter of Jerusalem! ¹⁵ Jehovah has turned off your judgments; He has turned away your enemy. Jehovah, the King of Israel, is in your midst; you shall not fear evil any more. ¹⁶ In that day it shall be said to Jerusalem, Fear not! Zion, do not let your hands droop. ¹⁷ Jehovah your God is mighty in your midst; He will save. He will rejoice over you with joy; He is silent in His love. He rejoices over you with a joyful shout.

⁹ Rejoice greatly, O daughter of Zion! Shout, O daughter of Jerusalem! Behold, your King comes to you! He is righteous and victorious, lowly, and riding on an ass, even on a colt, the son of an ass.

¹ Paul an apostle of Jesus Christ according to a command of God our Savior, even the Lord Jesus Christ, our Hope,

³ For this is good and acceptable before God our deliverer,

³ but revealed in its own times in a proclamation of His word, with which I was entrusted by the command of our Savior God:

¹⁰ not stealing, but showing all good faith, that they may adorn the doctrine of our Savior God in all things.

¹³ looking for the blessed hope and appearance of the glory of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ,

⁴ But when the kindness and love of God our Savior toward man appeared, ⁵ not by works in righteousness which we had done, but according to His mercy, He saved us through the washing of regeneration and renewal of the Holy Spirit, ⁶ whom He poured out on us richly through Jesus Christ, our Savior;

²⁵ to the only wise God, our Savior, be glory and majesty and might and authority, even now and forever. Amen.

¹³ And Leah said, In my happiness; for the daughters shall call me happy. And she called his name Asher.

¹¹ And she vowed a vow, and said, O Jehovah of hosts, if You will certainly look upon the affliction of Your handmaid, and shall remember me, and not forget Your handmaid, and shall give to Your maidservant a man-child, then I will give him to Jehovah all the days of his life; and a razor shall not go up on his head.

⁸ He raised the poor from the dust; He lifts up the needy from the dunghill, to cause them to sit with nobles; yea, He caused them to inherit a throne of honor; for to Jehovah are the pillars of the earth; and He sets the habitable world on them.

⁸ And now, so you shall say to My servant, to David, So says Jehovah of hosts, I have taken you from the resting place, from following the flock, to be ruler over My people, over Israel.

¹⁸ And king David came in and sat before Jehovah, and said: Who am I, O Lord Jehovah, and what is my house, that you have brought me here? ¹⁹ And this was yet but little in Your eyes, O Lord Jehovah. But You have spoken also of Your servant's house for a time afar off. And is this the law of men, O Lord Jehovah?

¹⁷ He will turn to the prayer of the destitute, and will not despise their prayer.

⁷ He raises up the poor from the dust; He lifts the needy out of the dunghill; ⁸ in order to make him sit with nobles, with the nobles of his people.

²³ who remembered us in our low estate; for His mercy endures forever;

⁶ Though Jehovah is high, yet He looks upon the lowly; but the proud He knows from afar.

² And My hand has made all these things, even all these things exist, declares Jehovah. But I will look toward this one, to the afflicted, and to the contrite of spirit, even trembling at My word.

¹² And all nations shall call you blessed, for you shall be a delightful land, says Jehovah of hosts.

²⁷ And as He spoke these things, it happened that a certain woman lifted up her voice out of the crowd and said to Him, Blessed is the womb having borne You and the breasts which You sucked.

²⁶ For you see your calling, brothers, that there are not many wise according to flesh, nor many powerful, not many wellborn. ²⁷ But God chose the foolish things of the world that the wise might be put to shame, and God chose the weak things of the world so that He might put to shame the strong things. ²⁸ And God chose the low-born of the world, and the despised, and the things that are not, so that He might bring to nothing the things that are,

⁵ Hear, my beloved brothers, did not God choose the poor of this world to be rich in faith, and heirs of the kingdom which He promised to the ones loving Him? ⁶ But you dishonored the poor one. Do not the rich ones oppress you, and they drag you to judgment seats?

¹¹ Who is like You among the gods, O Jehovah? Who is like You, glorified in holiness, fearful in praises, O Worker of wonders?

² None is holy like Jehovah, for there is none except You; yea, there is no rock like our God.

⁸ Who is this King of glory? Jehovah strong and mighty! Jehovah mighty in battle!

¹⁹ And, Your righteousness, O God, is to the heights, You who have done great things. O God, who is like You? ²⁰ Who has shown me great and evil distresses; You will turn me; You will make me live; and You will bring me up from the depths of the earth. ²¹ You will multiply my greatness and surround and comfort me.

³ They shall thank Your great and fearful name; it is holy.

⁹ Exalt Jehovah our God and worship at His holy hill; for Jehovah our God is holy.

⁹ He sent redemption to His people; He has commanded His covenant forever; holy and awesome is His name.

² Then our mouth was full of laughter, and our tongue with joyful shouting; then they said among the nations, Jehovah will work great things with these. ³ Jehovah did great things to work with us; we are glad.

²⁴ and says the Lord, Jehovah of hosts, the mighty One of Israel, Alas! I will be eased of My foes, and avenge Myself of My enemies.

³ And one cried to the other and said, Holy, holy, holy is Jehovah of Hosts; all the earth is full of His glory!

¹⁵ For so says the high and lofty One who inhabits eternity, and His name is Holy: I dwell in the high and holy place, even with the contrite and humble of spirit; to make live the spirit of the humble and to make live the heart of the contrite ones.

¹ Who is this who comes from Edom with dyed garments from Bozrah, this One adorned in His clothing, bending in His great power? It is I, speaking in righteousness, mighty to save!

⁶ There is none like You, O Jehovah; You are great, and Your name is great in might.

¹¹ But Jehovah is with me like a mighty, awesome one. On account of this my persecutors shall stumble and will not prevail. And they shall be greatly ashamed. For they have not acted wisely; they are an everlasting disgrace that will not be forgotten.

¹³ And Jesus immediately allowed them. And coming out, the unclean spirits entered into the pigs. And the herd rushed down the cliff into the sea (and they were about two thousand), and they were choked in the sea.

²⁰ Now to Him being able to do exceedingly above all that we ask or think, according to the power working in us,

⁸ And the four living creatures each one had six wings around, and within being full of eyes. And they had no rest day and night, saying, "Holy, holy, holy, Lord God Almighty," the One who was, and is, and is coming! Isa. 6:3

⁴ Who will not fear You, Lord, and glorify Your name? For You only are holy. For all the nations will come and will worship before You, because Your righteousnesses were made known.

⁷ And I will establish My covenant between Me and you, and your seed after you in their generations, for an everlasting covenant, to be a God to you and to your seed after you.

⁶ and doing kindness to thousands, to those loving Me, and to those keeping My commandments.

⁶ And Jehovah passed by before his face and called out: Jehovah! Jehovah God! Merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and great in goodness and truth, ⁷ keeping mercy for thousands, forgiving iniquity and transgression and sin, and not leaving entirely unpunished, visiting the iniquity of fathers on sons, and on sons of sons, to the third and to the fourth generation.

¹⁹ How great is Your goodness which You have laid up for those who fear You; You have worked for those who trust in You before the sons of mankind.

⁹ Surely His salvation is near to fearers of Him, for glory to dwell in our land.

¹¹ For as the heavens are above the earth, so is His mercy mighty over those who fear Him.

¹⁷ But the mercy of Jehovah is from everlasting, even to everlasting, on those who fear Him; yea, His righteousness is to the sons of sons; ¹⁸ to those who keep His covenant, and to those who remember His commandments, to do them.

¹³ He will bless those who fear Jehovah, the small and the great.

⁴ Let those who fear Jehovah say now that His mercy endures forever.

¹⁹ He will fulfill the desire of the ones who fear Him; and He will hear their cry and save them.

¹¹ Jehovah takes pleasure in those who fear Him, those who hope in His mercy.

¹⁶ Then those fearing Jehovah spoke together, each man to his neighbor. And Jehovah gave attention and heard. And a Book of Remembrance was written before Him for those who feared Jehovah, and for those esteeming His name. ¹⁷ And they shall be Mine, says Jehovah of hosts, for the day that I will make up My treasure. And I will pity them as a man has pity on his son who serves him. ¹⁸ Then you shall again see the difference between the righteous and the wicked, between him who serves God and him who does not serve Him.

⁵ And a voice came out from the throne, saying, Praise our God, all His slaves, and the ones fearing Him, the small and the great.

⁵ And Jehovah saw that the evil of man was great on the earth, and every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil all the day long.

²¹ And Jehovah smelled the soothing fragrance, and Jehovah said in His heart, I will never again curse the ground for the sake of man, because the imagination of the heart of man is evil from his youth. Yea, I will not again smite every living thing as I have done;

⁶ Your right hand, O Jehovah, is glorious in power; O Jehovah, Your right dashes the enemy to pieces. ⁷ And in Your majesty's greatness You pull down those rising up against You; You send forth Your wrath; it consumes them like stubble.

⁹ The enemy said, I will pursue, I will overtake, I will divide the spoil; my soul shall be filled with them; I will draw my sword; my hand will destroy them. ¹⁰ You blew with Your wind, the sea covered them; they sank like lead in mighty waters. ¹¹ Who is like You among the gods, O Jehovah? Who is like You, glorified in holiness, fearful in praises, O Worker of wonders? ¹² You stretched Your right hand; the earth swallowed them. ¹³ In Your mercy You led the people whom You redeemed; You guided in Your strength to Your holy dwelling.

¹¹ Now I know that Jehovah is greater than all the gods; truly, in the way in which they were proved against them.

³⁴ Or has God gone forth to take to Himself a nation from the midst of a nation, by trials, by signs, and by wonders, and by war, and by a mighty hand, and by a stretched out arm, and by great terrors, according to all that Jehovah your God did for you in Egypt before your eyes?

¹⁹ and it happens when he hears the words of this curse, that he should bless himself in his heart, saying, I shall have peace, even though I walk in the stubbornness of my heart, to snatch away the drunken with the thirsty. ²⁰ Jehovah will not be willing to forgive him, for then Jehovah's anger and His zeal shall smoke, and His zeal shall be against that man, and all the curses written in this book shall lie upon him. And Jehovah shall blot out his name from under the heavens.

³ Do not multiply your haughty words; let not arrogance go out from your mouth; for Jehovah is a God of knowledge, and by Him actions are weighed. ⁴ Bows of the mighty are broken; and they that stumble gird on strength.

⁹ And have you an arm like God; or can you thunder with a voice like His? ¹⁰ Adorn yourself with majesty now, and with grandeur, and clothe yourself with glory and honor; ¹¹ pour forth the outbursts of your anger; yea, look on everyone who is proud, and bring him down low; ¹² look on everyone who is proud, and humble him, and trample the wicked in their place;

¹ Why have the nations raged and the peoples are meditating on vanity? ² The kings of the earth set themselves; yea, the rulers have plotted together against Jehovah and His anointed, saying, ³ We will break their bands in two, and throw off their cords from us. ⁴ He who sits in the heavens shall laugh; Jehovah shall mock at them. ⁵ Then He will speak to them in His anger, and He will terrify them in His wrath; ⁶ Yea, I have set My king on My holy mount on Zion.

¹⁰ Jehovah brings the counsel of the nations to nothing; He frustrates the plans of the peoples.

⁹ I will thank You forever, because You have done it; and I will hope in Your name, for it is good before Your saints.

⁵ My soul shall be satisfied, as with marrow and fatness; and my mouth shall praise You with joyful lips,

¹⁰ You have broken Rahab in pieces, as one slain; You have scattered Your enemies with Your mighty arm.

¹³ You have a mighty arm; Your hand is strong, Your right hand is high.

¹ A Psalm. O sing to Jehovah a new song, for He has done wondrous things; His right hand and His holy arm has saved Him.

¹⁵ The voice of rejoicing and salvation is in the tents of the righteous; the right hand of Jehovah works mightily.

¹² And it will be, when the Lord has broken off all His work on Mount Zion and on Jerusalem, I will visit on the fruit of the proud heart of the king of Assyria, and on the glory of his lofty eyes. ¹³ For he says, I have worked by the strength of my hand and by my wisdom; for I am wise. And I take away the borders of peoples, and have robbed their treasures. And like a mighty one, I subdue inhabitants. ¹⁴ And my hand has found the riches of the people. Like a nest, I also have gathered all the earth, as forsaken eggs are gathered. And there was not one moving a wing, or opening a mouth, or one chirping. ¹⁵ Shall the axe glorify itself over him chopping with it? Or shall the saw magnify itself over him moving it? As if a rod could wave those who lift it . As if a staff could raise what is not wood! ¹⁶ So the Lord, Jehovah of Hosts, shall send leanness among his fat ones. And under His glory He will kindle a burning like the burning of fire. ¹⁷ And the Light of Israel shall be for a fire, and his Holy One for a flame; and it shall burn and devour his thorns and briers in one day. ¹⁸ And He shall consume the glory of his forest and his fruitful field, even from soul to flesh; and it shall be as a sick man melts away. ¹⁹ And the rest of the trees of the forest shall be few, so that a boy might write them.

¹⁰ Behold, the Lord Jehovah will come with strength, and His arm rules for Him. Behold, His reward is with Him, and His wage before Him.

⁹ Awake! Awake! Arm of Jehovah, put on strength. Awake, as in days of old, everlasting generations. Was it not You cutting in pieces Rahab, and piercing the sea monster?

¹⁰ Jehovah has bared His holy arm in the eyes of all the nations; and all the ends of the earth shall see the salvation of our God.

¹² who led them by Moses' right hand, with His glorious arm, dividing the water before them, to make for Him an everlasting name?

²⁹ We have heard the pride of Moab, he is exceeding proud; his loftiness, and his pride, and his arrogance, and his elevated heart. ³⁰ I have known, declares Jehovah, his wrath, and it is not so; his boast, they have not done so.

³⁷ Now I, Nebuchadnezzar, praise and exalt and honor the King of Heaven, for all His works are truth, and His ways are justice. And He is able to humble those who walk in pride.

²⁵ And this is the writing that was written: A MINA, A MINA, A SHEKEL, AND HALF MINAS. ²⁶ This is the meaning of the thing: A MINA: God has numbered your kingdom and finished it. ²⁷ A SHEKEL: You are weighed in the balances and found lacking. ²⁸ HALF MINAS: Your kingdom is divided and given to the Medes and Persians. ²⁹ Then Belshazzar commanded, and they clothed Daniel with purple, and a necklace of gold around his neck. And they made a proclamation concerning him, that he should be the third ruler in the kingdom. ³⁰ In that night Belshazzar, the king of the Chaldeans, was killed. ³¹ And Darius the Mede took the kingdom, being a son of sixty two years.

²¹ Because knowing God, they did not glorify Him as God, nor were thankful. But they became vain in their reasonings, and their undiscerning heart was darkened.

⁵ pulling down imaginations and every high thing lifting up itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought into the obedience of Christ,

⁵ Likewise, younger ones be subject to older ones; and all being subject to one another. Put on humility, because God sets Himself "against proud ones, but He gives grace to humble ones." Prov. 3:34

⁸ Because of this, in one day her plagues shall come: death, and mourning, and famine; and she will be consumed with fire, for the Lord God judging her is strong.

⁴ Bows of the mighty are broken; and they that stumble gird on strength.

⁶ Jehovah kills, and keeps alive; He brings down and causes to go to Sheol. ⁷ Jehovah brings down, and He gives riches; He brings low; yea, He lifts up high. ⁸ He raised the poor from the dust; He lifts up the needy from the dunghill, to cause them to sit with nobles; yea, He caused them to inherit a throne of honor; for to Jehovah are the pillars of the earth; and He sets the habitable world on them.

¹¹ to set the lowly on high; yea, the mourners become very high in safety; ¹² breaking the plots of the crafty, nor did their hands perform the undertaking. ¹³ He takes the wise in their craftiness, and the counsel of the wily ones is hastened.

²⁴ He will break mighty men in pieces without inquiry, and make stand others in their place. ²⁵ So He knows their works; and He overturns in the night, so that they are crushed. ²⁶ He strikes them for evil deeds in the place of the spectators, ²⁷ for so they turned from following Him, and they did not consider all His ways so as ²⁸ to cause the cry of the poor to come to Him. For He hears the cry of the afflicted.

⁴⁰ He pours scorn on nobles, and causes them to wander in a desert; there is no path. ⁴¹ But He raises the poor up from affliction, and He sets families like a flock.

⁶ Who humbles Himself to consider all in the earth and the heavens!

¹⁴ For from the house of the imprisoned he goes forth to reign, although in his kingdom he was born poor.

²⁴ And all the trees of the field shall know that I, Jehovah, have brought down the high tree. and have exalted the low tree, and have dried up the green tree, and have made the dry tree flourish. I, Jehovah, have spoken and acted.

¹¹ In that day I will raise up the booth of David that has fallen, and I will wall up its breaks. And I will raise up its ruins, and I will build it as the days of old;

³ Is this one not the carpenter, the son of Mary, and brother of James and Joseph and Judas and Simon? And are not his sisters here with us? And they were offended in Him.

¹⁴ I say to you, this one went down to his house having been justified, rather than that one. For everyone exalting himself will be humbled. And the one humbling himself will be exalted.

⁹ But let the lowly brother rejoice in his lifting up; ¹⁰ and the rich one rejoice in his humiliation, because he will pass away like the flower of the grass.

¹⁰ Be humbled before the Lord, and He will exalt you.

⁵ They that were full have hired themselves out for bread; and the hungry have ceased, while the barren has borne seven; yea, she who had many sons has languished.

¹⁰ The young lions have lacked and been hungry; but they who seek Jehovah shall not lack any good thing.

⁸ Let them thank Jehovah for His mercy, and His wonders to the sons of man. ⁹ He satisfies the thirsty soul, and He fills the hungry soul with good.

⁷ who executes judgment for the oppressed; who gives food to the hungry; Jehovah sets free the prisoners;

²⁹ And I will raise up for them a noted planting place, and they shall not any more be of those gathered by famine in the land. And they shall not any more bear the shame of the nations.

⁶ Blessed are they who hunger and thirst after righteousness! For they shall be filled.

²¹ Blessed are those hungering now, for you will be filled. Blessed are those weeping now, for you will laugh.

²⁴ But woe to you, rich ones, for you have your comfort!

¹⁶ And He spoke a parable to them, saying, A certain rich man produced well from the land. ¹⁷ And he reasoned within himself, saying, What may I do, for I have nowhere I may gather my fruits? ¹⁸ And he said, I will do this; I will tear down my barns and I will build larger; and I will gather there all my produce and my goods. ¹⁹ And I will say to my soul, Soul, you have many goods laid up for many years; take rest, eat, drink, and be glad. ²⁰ But God said to him, Fool! This night they demand your soul from you; and that which you prepared, to whom will it be? ²¹ So is he treasuring up for himself, and not being rich toward God.

¹⁹ And there was a certain rich man; and he was accustomed to don a purple robe and fine linen, making merry in luxury day by day. ²⁰ And there was a certain poor one named Lazarus who had been laid at his porch, being plagued by sores, ²¹ and longing to be filled from the crumbs that were falling from the table of the rich one. But coming, even the dogs licked his sores. ²² And it happened, the poor one died and was carried away by the angels into the bosom of Abraham. And the rich one also died and was buried. ²³ And being in torments in Hell, lifting up his eyes, he sees Abraham afar off and Lazarus in his bosoms. ²⁴ And calling he said, Father Abraham, have pity on me and send Lazarus that he may dip the tip of his finger in water and cool my tongue, for I am suffering in this flame. ²⁵ But Abraham said, Child, remember that you fully received your good things in your lifetime, and Lazarus likewise the bad things. But now he is comforted, and you are suffering.

¹¹ The Pharisee was standing, praying these things to himself: God, I thank You that I am not as the rest of men, rapacious, unrighteous, adulterers, or even as this tax collector. ¹² I fast twice in the week; I tithe all things, as many as I get. ¹³ And standing at a distance, the tax collector would not even lift up his eyes to Heaven, but smote on his breast, saying, God, be merciful to me, the sinner! ¹⁴ I say to you, this one went down to his house having been justified, rather than that one. For everyone exalting himself will be humbled. And the one humbling himself will be exalted.

²⁴ And seeing him having become very much grieved, Jesus said, How hardly those having riches shall enter into the kingdom of God! ²⁵ For it is easier for a camel to go in through a needle's eye than for a rich one to enter into the kingdom of God.

¹¹ And Jesus took the loaves, and giving thanks distributed to the disciples, and the disciples to those reclining. And in the same way the fish, as much as they desired. ¹² And when they were filled, He said to His disciples, Gather up the fragments left over, that not anything be lost. ¹³ Then they gathered and filled twelve hand baskets with fragments of the five barley loaves which were left over to those who had eaten.

³⁵ Jesus said to them, I am the Bread of life; the one coming to Me will not at all hunger, and the one believing into Me will never ever thirst.

²⁶ For you see your calling, brothers, that there are not many wise according to flesh, nor many powerful, not many wellborn.

⁸ You are already satisfied; you already became rich; you reigned without us (and oh that you really did reign, so that we also might reign with you!)

¹ Come now, rich ones, weep, howling over your hardships coming on. ² Your riches have rotted, and your garments have become moth-eaten. ³ Your gold and silver have rusted over, and their poison will be a testimony to you, and will eat your flesh as fire. You heaped treasure in the last days. ⁴ Behold, the wages of the workmen who have reaped your fields cry out, being kept back by you. And the cries of the ones who have reaped have entered "into the ears of the Lord of Hosts." Isa. 5:9 ⁵ You lived luxuriously on the earth, and lived in self gratification; you nourished your hearts as in a day of slaughter; ⁶ you condemned; you murdered the righteous; he does not resist you.

¹⁷ Because you say, I am rich, and I am made rich, and I have need of nothing, and do not know that you are wretched and miserable and poor and blind and naked. ¹⁸ I advise you to buy from Me gold having been fired by fire, that you may be rich; and white garments, that you may be clothed, and your shame and nakedness may not be revealed. And anoint your eyes with eye salve, that you may see.

¹⁶ And they will not hunger still, nor will they thirst still, nor at all shall fall on them the sun, nor any kind of heat. ¹⁷ Because the Lamb in the midst of the throne will shepherd them, and will lead them on the living fountains of waters; and God will wipe off every tear from their eyes.

³ He has remembered His mercy and His faithfulness to the house of Israel; all the ends of the earth have seen the salvation of our God.

²¹ Remember these, O Jacob, and Israel. For you are My servant; I have formed you; you are My servant, O Israel; you shall not forget Me.

³ Listen to me, O house of Jacob, and all the remnant of the house of Israel; who are borne from the belly, who are lifted from the womb: ⁴ Even to old age I am He; and I will bear to gray hair; I made, and I will carry; and I will bear and deliver.

¹⁴ But Zion said, Jehovah has forsaken me, and, My Lord has forgotten me. ¹⁵ Can a woman forget her suckling child, from pitying the son of her womb? Yes, these may forget, yet I will surely not forget you. ¹⁶ Behold, I have carved you on the palms of My hands; your walls are always before Me.

⁶ For Jehovah has called you as a woman forsaken and grieved in spirit, even a wife of young men when she is rejected, says your God. ⁷ For a little moment I have left you, but I will gather you with great pityings. ⁸ In a flood of wrath I hid My face from you for a moment; but I will have pity on you with everlasting kindness, says Jehovah your Redeemer. ⁹ For this is the waters of Noah to Me; for as I swore to refrain from passing over the waters of Noah over the earth again, so I have sworn from being and with you and rebuking you. ¹⁰ For the mountains shall depart and the hills be removed, but My mercy shall not depart from you; nor shall the covenant of My peace be removed, says Jehovah who has pity on you.

⁷ I will mention the mercies of Jehovah, the praises of Jehovah, according to all that Jehovah has benefited us, and the great good to the house of Israel, by which He benefited them according to His mercies, and according to the multitude of His loving-kindness. ⁸ For He said, Surely they are My people, sons that do not lie, and He is their Savior. ⁹ In all their affliction, He was not a foe; and the Angel of his Face saved them. In His love and in His pity He redeemed them. And He bore them, and carried them all the days of old. ¹⁰ But they rebelled, and provoked His Holy Spirit, so He was turned to be their enemy; He fought against them. ¹¹ Then His people remembered the days past of Moses and His people, saying, Where is He who brought us up from the sea with the shepherd of His flock. Where is He who put His Holy Spirit within him; ¹² who led them by Moses' right hand, with His glorious arm, dividing the water before them, to make for Him an everlasting name? ¹³ He led them through the deeps; like the horse in the wilderness, they did not stumble. ¹⁴ As the cattle go down into the valley, so the Spirit of Jehovah caused him to rest; so You led Your people, to make a glorious name for Yourself. ¹⁵ Look down from Heaven and peer from the place of Your holiness and your glory. Where is Your zeal and Your might? The stirring of Your affections and Your mercies toward me, are they held back? ¹⁶ For You are our Father, though Abraham does not know us, and Israel does not acknowledge us; You, Jehovah, are our Father, our Redeemer; Your name is from everlasting.

³ Jehovah has appeared to me from far away, saying, Yes, I have loved you with an everlasting love! On account of this, with loving kindness I have drawn you.

²⁰ Is Ephraim My dear son? Or is he a delightful child? For as often as I spoke against him, I earnestly remember him still. So My bowels groan for him; I will surely have pity on him, declares Jehovah.

²⁴ Have you not observed what these people have spoken, saying, The two families that Jehovah has chosen, He has also rejected them? And they despise My people, no more to be a nation before them. ²⁵ So says Jehovah, If My covenant is not with day and night, and if I have not appointed the ordinances of the heavens and earth, ²⁶ then I also will reject the seed of Jacob, and My servant David, not to take of his seed to be rulers over the seed of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. For I will bring back their captivity and have pity on them.

²⁰ You will give faithfulness to Jacob, kindness to Abraham, which You have sworn to our fathers from the days of old.

¹⁴ Shout for joy, daughter of Zion; shout, Israel! Be glad and rejoice with all the heart, daughter of Jerusalem! ¹⁵ Jehovah has turned off your judgments; He has turned away your enemy. Jehovah, the King of Israel, is in your midst; you shall not fear evil any more. ¹⁶ In that day it shall be said to Jerusalem, Fear not! Zion, do not let your hands droop. ¹⁷ Jehovah your God is mighty in your midst; He will save. He will rejoice over you with joy; He is silent in His love. He rejoices over you with a joyful shout. ¹⁸ I will gather the afflicted ones from the appointed place; they were from you, a lifting up of reproach over her. ¹⁹ Behold, at that time I will deal with all those who afflict you. And I will save her who is lame, and gather her who was thrust out. And I will give them for a praise and for a name in all the land of their shame. ²⁰ In that time I will bring you, even in the time I gather you. For I will give you for a name and for a praise among all the peoples of the earth, when I turn back your captivity before your eyes, says Jehovah.

⁹ Rejoice greatly, O daughter of Zion! Shout, O daughter of Jerusalem! Behold, your King comes to you! He is righteous and victorious, lowly, and riding on an ass, even on a colt, the son of an ass. ¹⁰ And I Will cut off the chariot from Ephraim and the horse from Jerusalem. And the battle bow shall be cut off, and He shall speak peace to the nations. And His dominion shall be from sea to sea, and from the River to the ends of the earth. ¹¹ Also you, by the blood of your covenant I have freed your prisoners from the pit; no water is in it.

⁷⁰ even as He spoke through the mouth of His holy prophets from the age before : ⁷¹ Salvation from our enemies, and from the hand of all those hating us, ⁷² to execute mercy with our fathers, and to remember His holy covenant, ⁷³ the oath which He swore to our father Abraham, ⁷⁴ to give to us, that we being delivered out of our enemies' hand, in order to serve Him without fear, ⁷⁵ in consecration and righteousness before Him all the days of our life.

³ And I will bless those who bless you, and curse the one despising you. And in you all families of the earth shall be blessed.

⁴ And I will increase your seed like the stars of the heavens, and I will give to your seed all these lands. And all the nations of the earth shall bless themselves in your seed,

¹⁴ And your seed shall be as the dust of the earth, and you shall spread to the west and to the east and to the north and to the south; and all the families of the earth shall be blessed in you and in your seed.

⁶ O seed of His servant Abraham; O sons of Jacob, His chosen ones, ⁷ He is Jehovah our God; His judgments are in all the earth; ⁸ He has remembered His covenant forever; the word He commanded to a thousand generations; ⁹ which He cut with Abraham, and His oath to Isaac; ¹⁰ and He established it to Jacob for a statute, to Israel for a perpetual covenant;

¹¹ Jehovah has sworn to David in truth; He will not turn from it; I will set one of the fruit of your body on the throne for you. ¹² If your sons will keep My covenant and My testimonies which I will teach them, their sons shall also sit on your throne till forever. ¹³ Jehovah has chosen Zion; He has desired it for His dwelling-place. ¹⁴ This is My rest till forever; I will dwell here; I have desired it. ¹⁵ I will surely bless her food; I will satisfy her poor with food. ¹⁶ And I will clothe her priests with salvation; and her saints shall surely shout. ¹⁷ I will make the horn of David to sprout; I have prepared a lamp for My anointed.

²⁸ Indeed, as regards the gospel, enemies for you, but as regards the election, beloved for the sake of the fathers. ²⁹ For the free gifts and the calling of God are without repentance.

¹⁶ But the promises were spoken to Abraham and to his Seed (it does not say, And to seeds, as of many, but as of one, "And to your Seed," which is Christ). Gen. 12:7, 13:15; 17:7, 8; 24:7 ¹⁷ And I say this, A covenant having been ratified before to Christ by God, the Law coming into being four hundred and thirty years after, does not annul the promise, so as to abolish it .

² And Sarah conceived and bore a son to Abraham in his old age, at the time appointed, that which God had spoken with him. ³ And Abraham called the name of the son who was born to him, whom Sarah had borne to him, Isaac.

¹⁹ God is not a man that He should lie, or a son of man that He should repent. Has He said, and shall He not do it? And has He spoken, and shall He not make it good?

⁶ And it happened as they were there, the days were fulfilled for her to bear. ⁷ And she bore her son, the First-born. And she wrapped Him and laid Him in the manger, because there was no place for them in the inn.

¹⁹ Behold, now, Your servant has found grace in Your sight, and You have magnified Your mercy which You have shown to me in saving my life. And I am not able to escape to the mountain lest some evil overtake me and I die.

¹⁴ And the women said to Naomi, Blessed be Jehovah, who has not left you this day without a redeemer; and may his name be called in Israel. ¹⁵ And may he be to you a restorer of life, and a nourisher of your old age, for your daughter-in-law who loves you has borne him, who is better to you than seven sons. ¹⁶ And Naomi took the child, and laid him in her bosom, and became nurse to him. ¹⁷ And the neighboring women gave him a name, saying, This is a son born to Naomi; and they called his name Obed. He is the father of Jesse, the father of David.

⁹ Shall I bring to the birth, and not cause to bring forth? says Jehovah. Surely I cause birth, and hold back, says your God. ¹⁰ Rejoice with Jerusalem, and be glad with her, all who love her. Rejoice a rejoicing with her, all who mourn for her;

¹⁴ And he will be joy and exultation to you, and many will rejoice over his birth.

²⁵ So has the Lord done to me in the days in which He looked on me to take away my reproach among men.

¹⁵ Rejoice with rejoicing ones, and weep with weeping ones;

²⁶ And if one member suffers, all the members suffer with it . If one member is glorified, all the members rejoice with it .

¹² And a son of eight days shall be circumcised among you, every male in your generation, he that is born in the house, or bought with silver from any son of a foreigner who is not of your seed.

³ And Abraham called the name of the son who was born to him, whom Sarah had borne to him, Isaac. ⁴ And Abraham circumcised his son Isaac, a son of eight days, as God had commanded him.

³ And on the eighth day the flesh of his foreskin shall be circumcised.

⁸ And He gave to him a covenant of circumcision; and so he fathered Isaac and circumcised him on the eighth day. And Isaac fathered Jacob, and Jacob the twelve patriarchs.

⁵ in circumcision, the eighth day, of the race of Israel, the tribe of Benjamin, a Hebrew of the Hebrews; according to Law, a Pharisee;

²⁵ and sent by the hand of Nathan the prophet, and called his name Jedidiah, because of Jehovah.

⁶³ And asking for a writing tablet, he wrote, saying, John is his name. And all marveled.

³ Mercy and truth will not forsake you; tie them on your neck; write them on the tablet of your heart;

⁸ Now come, write it before them on a tablet, and note it on a book, so that it may be for the latter day, until forever;

¹ The sin of Judah is engraved with an iron pen. It is carved on the tablet of their heart with the point of a diamond, and on the horns of your altars,

² And Jehovah answered me and said, Write the vision and engrave it on the tablets, that he who reads it may run.

⁶⁰ And his mother answered, saying, Not so, but he shall be called John.

¹⁵ And you shall speak to him, and you shall put the words in his mouth. And I will be with your mouth, and with his mouth, and I will teach you what you shall do. ¹⁶ And he shall speak for you to the people. And it shall be, he shall be a mouth for you, and you shall be a god for him.

⁷ O Jehovah, in Your favor You have made my strong mountain to stand You hid Your face; I was troubled; ⁸ I called to You, O Jehovah; yea, I prayed to Jehovah. ⁹ What profit is in my blood, in going down to the Pit? Shall the dust praise You? Shall it tell of Your truth? ¹⁰ Hear, O Jehovah, and favor me; O Jehovah, be my helper. ¹¹ You have turned my mourning into dancing for me; You have loosed my sackcloth and have clothed me with gladness. ¹² So my glory shall praise You, and not be quiet; O Jehovah, my God, I will give thanks to You forever.

¹⁵ O Lord, open my lips and my mouth shall declare Your praise.

¹⁸ Jehovah has grievously chastened me, but He has not given me to death. ¹⁹ Open the gates of righteousness to me, I will enter into them; I will thank Jehovah.

¹ And in that day you shall say, O Jehovah, I will thank You. Though You were angry with me, turn away Your anger and You shall comfort me.

⁹ Then Jehovah put out His hand and touched my mouth. And Jehovah said to me, Behold, I have put My words in your mouth.

²⁷ But in My speaking with you, I will open your mouth, and you shall say to them, So says the Lord Jehovah. He who hears, let him hear; and he who stops, let him stop. For they are a rebellious house.

²¹ In that day I will make a horn spring up to the house of Israel, and I will give to you the opening of the mouth in their midst. And they shall know that I am Jehovah.

²² And the hand of Jehovah was on me in the evening before the escaped one came. And He had opened my mouth until that one came in the morning. And my mouth was opened, and I was no longer dumb.

³⁴ And at the end of the days, I, Nebuchadnezzar, lifted up my eyes to the heaven, and my understanding returned to me, and I blessed the Most High. And I praised and honored Him who lives forever, whose kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and His rule from generation to generation. ³⁵ And all the inhabitants of the earth are counted as nothing. And He does according to His will among the army of Heaven, and among the inhabitants of the earth. And no one is able to strike His hand or say to Him, What are You doing? ³⁶ At that time my reason returned to me, and the glory of my kingdom, my majesty, and my brightness returned to me. And my advisers and my nobles sought to me. And I was reestablished in my kingdom, and excellent greatness was added to me. ³⁷ Now I, Nebuchadnezzar, praise and exalt and honor the King of Heaven, for all His works are truth, and His ways are justice. And He is able to humble those who walk in pride.

³³ And the demon being cast out, the dumb one spoke. And the crowds marveled, saying, Never was it seen this way in Israel.

³² And they brought a deaf one to Him, hardly speaking. And they begged Him, that He put His hand on him. ³³ And taking him away, apart from the crowd, He put His fingers into his ears; and spitting, He touched his tongue; ³⁴ and looking up into Heaven, He groaned and said to him, Ephphatha! (which is, Be opened!) ³⁵ And instantly his ears were opened, and the bond of his tongue was loosened, and he spoke correctly. ³⁶ And He ordered them that they should tell no one. But as much as He ordered them, much more abundantly they proclaimed. ³⁷ And they were most exceedingly amazed, saying, He has done all things well. He makes even the deaf to hear, and the dumb to speak.

⁶ And the men of Gibeon sent to Joshua, and to the camp at Gilgal, saying, Do not withdraw your hand from your servants. Come up to us quickly, and save us, and help us, for all the kings of the Amorites living in the hills have gathered against us.

³⁹ And rising up in these days, Mariam went into the hill country with haste to a city of Judah.

¹⁶ And fear took hold of all; and they glorified God, saying, A great prophet has risen up among us; and, God has visited His people.

⁴³ And fear came to every soul, and many wonders and miracles took place through the apostles.

⁵ And hearing these words, Ananias fell down and expired. And great fear came on all those hearing these things.

¹¹ And great fear came on all the church and on all those hearing these things.

¹⁷ And this became known to all, both Jews and Greeks, those living in Ephesus. And fear fell on them all, and the name of the Lord Jesus was magnified.

¹¹ And after three days and a half, a spirit of life from God entered into them, and they stood on their feet. And great fear fell on the ones beholding them.

¹¹ And his brothers were jealous of him. But his father observed the word.

² And Jehovah was with Joseph, and he was a prosperous man. And he was in the house of the Egyptian, his master.

²⁴ And the woman bore a son, and called his name Samson. And the youth grew, and Jehovah blessed him. ²⁵ And the Spirit of Jehovah began to move him in the camp of Dan between Zorah and Eshtaol.

¹⁸ And Samuel was serving before Jehovah, a boy girded with an ephod of linen.

¹⁸ One of the servants answered and said, Behold, I have seen a son of Jesse the Bethlehemite who is skillful in playing, and a mighty warrior, and a man of battle, and skillful in speech, and a man of form. And Jehovah is with him.

⁴⁶ and the hand of Jehovah was on Elijah, and he girded up his loins and ran before Ahab until you enter Jezreel.

¹⁷ Let Your hand be on the Man of Your right hand; on the Son of man whom You have made strong for Yourself.

²¹ My hand shall be fixed with him; and My arm shall make him strong.

¹¹ I have hidden Your word in my heart, that I might not sin against You.

⁸⁰ And the child grew, and became strong in spirit. And he was in the deserts until the day of his showing to Israel.

⁴⁰ And the Child grew, and became strong in spirit, being filled with wisdom. And the grace of God was upon Him.

⁴⁴ You lay into your ears these sayings, for the Son of man is about to be betrayed into the hands of men.

²¹ And the hand of the Lord was with them, and a great number believing, they turned to the Lord.

²⁵ And Jehovah came down in the cloud and spoke to him, and took of the spirit which was on him, and put it on the seventy men of the elders. And it happened, as the spirit rested on them, that they prophesied, but they did not continue.

² The Spirit of Jehovah has spoken by me, and His Word is on my tongue.

²⁸ And it shall be afterward, I will pour out My Spirit on all flesh. And your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions.

⁴¹ And it happened, as Elizabeth heard Mariam's greeting, the babe in her womb leaped, and Elizabeth was filled of the Holy Spirit.

²¹ for prophecy was not at any time borne by the will of man, but having been borne along by the Holy Spirit, holy men of God spoke.

²⁶ And he said, Blessed be Jehovah, the God of Shem; and may Canaan be his slave.

²⁰ and blessed be the most high God, who has delivered your enemies into your hand. And he gave him a tithe of all.

¹⁶ Go, and gather the elders of Israel and say to them, Jehovah the God of your fathers has appeared to me, the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, saying, I have surely visited you and have seen what is done to you in Egypt. ¹⁷ And I have said, I will bring you up from the affliction of Egypt to the land of the Canaanite, the Hittite, and the Amorite, and the Perizzite, and the Hivite, and the Jebusite; to a land flowing with milk and honey.

³¹ And the people believed. And they heard that Jehovah had visited the sons of Israel, and that He had seen their affliction. And they bowed and worshiped.

⁴⁸ And also the king has said, Blessed is Jehovah the God of Israel who has today given one sitting on my throne, and my eyes seeing it.

¹⁰ And David blessed Jehovah before the eyes of all the congregation; and David said, Blessed are You, O Jehovah, the God of Israel, our father, for ever and ever.

²⁰ And David said to all the congregation, Now bless Jehovah your God. And all the congregation blessed Jehovah, the God of their fathers, and worshiped Jehovah, and bowed to the king.

¹³ Blessed be Jehovah God of Israel, even from everlasting to everlasting! Amen and Amen!

⁴⁸ Blessed is Jehovah God of Israel, from everlasting even to everlasting. And let all the people say, Amen! Praise Jehovah!

³⁸ And coming on at the very hour, she gave thanks to the Lord, and spoke concerning Him to all those in Jerusalem eagerly expecting redemption.

⁴⁴ and will tear you down, and your children in you, and will not leave a stone on a stone, because you did not know the time of your visitation.

³ Blessed is the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenlies with Christ,

⁷ in whom we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace

³ Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, He according to His great mercy having regenerated us to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,

¹ And Hannah prayed and said: My heart has exulted in Jehovah; my horn has been high in Jehovah. My mouth has been large over my enemies; for I have rejoiced in Your salvation.

¹⁰ They who strive with Jehovah will be smashed; He thunders in the heavens against him; Jehovah judges the ends of the earth, and gives strength to His king, and exalts the horn of His anointed.

²⁶ And Your name shall be great forever, saying, Jehovah of hosts is God over Israel, and the house of Your servant David is established before You.

³ My God is my rock; I shall take refuge in Him; my shield, and the horn of my salvation, my high tower, and my refuge! My Savior, You shall save me from violence.

¹³ Only I will not tear away all the kingdom; I will give one tribe to your son for my servant David's sake, and for the sake of Jerusalem that I have chosen.

² Jehovah is my rock, and my fortress and my deliverer; my God, my Rock; I seek refuge in Him; He is my shield and the horn of my salvation, my high tower.

³ I have cut a covenant with My chosen; I have sworn to David My servant,

¹⁷ For You are the glory of their strength; and by Your favor You lift up our horn.

²⁰ I have found My servant David; I have anointed him with My holy oil. ²¹ My hand shall be fixed with him; and My arm shall make him strong. ²² An enemy will not exact against him; nor the son of iniquity afflict him. ²³ And I will beat down his foes before him, and plague those hating him. ²⁴ But My faithfulness and My mercy is with him; and his horn shall be exalted in My name. ²⁵ And I will set his hand in the sea, and his right hand in the rivers. ²⁶ He shall cry to Me, My Father, You are My God, and the rock of my salvation. ²⁷ And I will make him My first-born, higher than the kings of the earth. ²⁸ I will keep My mercy for Him forever, and My covenant shall hold fast with Him. ²⁹ And I have established his Seed forever, and His throne as the days of the heavens. ³⁰ If his children forsake My law and do not walk in My judgments; ³¹ if they profane My statutes and do not keep My commandments; ³² then I will visit their transgressions with the rod, and their sins with stripes. ³³ But I will not annul My mercy from him, and I will not be false in My faithfulness. ³⁴ I will not profane My covenant, nor change what goes from My lips.

¹⁷ I will make the horn of David to sprout; I have prepared a lamp for My anointed. ¹⁸ I will clothe his enemies with shame; but his crown shall shine upon him.

¹ And a Shoot goes out from the stump of Jesse, and a Branch will bear fruit out of his roots. ² And the Spirit of Jehovah shall rest on Him; He will have the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and power, the spirit of knowledge and of the fear of Jehovah. ³ And He is made to breathe in the fear of Jehovah. But He shall not judge by the seeing of His eyes, nor decide by the hearing of His ears. ⁴ But He shall judge the poor in righteousness, and shall decide rightly for the meek of the earth. And He shall strike the earth with the rod of His mouth, and He shall slay the wicked with the breath of His lips. ⁵ And righteousness shall be the encircler of His loins, and faithfulness the encircler of His reins. ⁶ And the wolf shall live with the lamb; and the leopard shall lie with the kid; and the calf and the young lion and the fatling together; and a little boy shall lead them. ⁷ The cow and the bear shall feed, their young shall lie together; and the lion shall eat straw like the ox. ⁸ And the infant shall play on the hole of the asp; yea, the weaned child shall put his hand on the viper's den. ⁹ They shall not do evil, nor destroy in all My holy mountain. For the earth shall be full of the knowledge of Jehovah, as the waters cover the sea.

¹⁵ In those days, and at that time, I will cause a Branch of righteousness to grow up to David. And He shall do judgment and righteousness in the land. ¹⁶ In those days Judah shall be saved, and Jerusalem shall dwell in safety. And this is the name that shall be called on her: JEHOVAH OUR RIGHTEOUSNESS. ¹⁷ For so says Jehovah, Not a man sitting on the throne of the house of Israel will be cut off to David. ¹⁸ And for the Levitical priests, they shall not have a man cut off before Me to offer burnt offerings, and to kindle grain offerings, and to do sacrifice continually. ¹⁹ And the word of Jehovah was to Jeremiah, saying, ²⁰ So says Jehovah, If you can break My covenant of the day, and My covenant of the night, and there should not be day and night in their time, ²¹ then My covenant with My servant David may also be broken, that he should not have a son to reign on his throne, and with the Levitical priests, My ministers. ²² As the host of the heavens cannot be numbered, nor the sand of the sea measured, so I will multiply the seed of My servant David, and the Levites who minister to Me. ²³ And the word of Jehovah was to Jeremiah, saying,

¹⁰ Blessed is the coming kingdom of our father David in the name of the Lord! Hosanna in the highest!

² which He promised before through His prophets in holy Scriptures, ³ concerning His Son who came of the seed of David according to flesh,

¹⁶ I, Jesus, sent My angel to testify these things to you over the churches. I am the Root and Offspring of David, the bright and morning Star.

¹⁰ The scepter shall not depart from Judah, nor the lawmaker from between his feet, until Shiloh come, and the obedience of the peoples to him.

⁵ Behold, the days come, says Jehovah, that I will raise to David a righteous Branch, and a King shall reign and act wisely, and shall do justice and righteousness in the earth.

¹⁰ And you, O My servant Jacob, do not fear, says Jehovah. Do not be terrified, O Israel. For, lo, I will save you from afar, and your seed from the land of their captivity. And Jacob shall return, and have quiet, and be untroubled, and no one will make him afraid.

²⁴ Seventy weeks are decreed as to your people, and as to your holy city, to finish the transgression, and to make an end of sins, and to make atonement for iniquity, and to bring in everlasting righteousness, and to seal up the vision and prophecy, and to anoint the Most Holy. ²⁵ Know, then, and understand that from the going out of a word to restore and to rebuild Jerusalem, to Messiah the Prince, shall be seven weeks and sixty two weeks. The street shall be built again, and the wall, even in times of affliction. ²⁶ And after sixty two weeks, Messiah shall be cut off, but not for Himself. And the people of a coming prince shall destroy the city and the sanctuary. And its end shall be with the flood, and ruins are determined, and war shall be until the end. ²⁷ And he shall confirm a covenant with the many for one week. And in the middle of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the offering to cease. And on a wing of the altar will be abominations that desolate, even until the end. And that which was decreed shall pour out on the desolator.

³⁶ For David himself said by the Holy Spirit, "The Lord said to my Lord, Sit off My right until I place Your enemies as a footstool for Your feet." LXX-Psa. 109:1; MT-Psa. 110:1

²⁶ Was it not necessary for the Christ to suffer these things, and to enter into His glory? ²⁷ And beginning from Moses, and from all the prophets, He explained to them the things about Himself in all the Scriptures.

⁴⁴ And He said to them, These are the words which I spoke to you yet being with you, that must be fulfilled all the things having been written in the Law of Moses, and the Prophets, and the Psalms, concerning Me.

²¹ whom Heaven truly needs to receive until the times of restoration of all things, of which God spoke through the mouth of all His holy prophets from the age past. ²² For Moses indeed said to the fathers, " The Lord your God will raise up to you a Prophet from among your brothers, One like me; you shall hear Him according to all things," whatever He may speak to you. See Deut. 18:15-16, 19 ²³ And it shall be that of every soul, whoever should not hear that Prophet shall be utterly destroyed from among the people. ²⁴ And also all the prophets, from Samuel and those following after, as many as spoke, also before announced these days.

²⁵ And disagreeing with one another, they were let go, Paul saying one word: Well did the Holy Spirit speak through the prophet Isaiah to our fathers,

² which He promised before through His prophets in holy Scriptures,

⁷ Because of this, even as the Holy Spirit says, "Today, if you hear His voice,

¹² To whom it was revealed that not to themselves, but to us they ministered the same things, which now were announced to you by those having preached the gospel to you in the Holy Spirit sent from Heaven; into which things angels long to bow to look.

¹⁰ And I fell before his feet to worship him, but he said to me, Behold! Stop! I am a fellow-slave of yours, and of your brothers, having the testimony of Jesus. Worship God. For the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.

²⁹ Blessed are you, O Israel! Who is like you? A people saved by Jehovah, the Shield of your help, and He who is the Sword of your excellency! And your enemies shall be found liars before you, and you shall tread on their high places.

¹⁰ And He saved them from the hand of the hater, and ransomed him from the hand of the enemy;

⁴⁷ Save us, O Jehovah our God, and gather us from the nations, to give thanks to Your holy name, to exult in Your praise.

¹ For Jehovah will have pity on Jacob, and will yet choose among Israel, and set them in their own land. And the stranger shall be joined to them; and they shall cling to the house of Jacob. ² And the peoples shall take them and bring them to their own place. And the house of Israel shall possess them in the land of Jehovah for slaves and slave girls. And they shall be captives of their captors; and they shall rule over their oppressors. ³ And it shall be, in the day that Jehovah shall give you rest from your sorrow, and from your trouble, and from the hard bondage which was pressed on you,

²⁴ So says Jehovah, your Redeemer and your Former from the womb; I am Jehovah who makes all things; stretching out the heavens; I alone, spreading out the earth. Who was with Me, ²⁵ frustrating the signs of liars; yea, He makes diviners mad; turning wise ones backward, and making their knowledge foolish. ²⁶ He confirms the word of His servant, and completes the counsel of His messengers. He says to Jerusalem, You will be filled; and to the cities of Judah, You shall be built; and, I will raise up its ruins.

⁷ For a little moment I have left you, but I will gather you with great pityings. ⁸ In a flood of wrath I hid My face from you for a moment; but I will have pity on you with everlasting kindness, says Jehovah your Redeemer. ⁹ For this is the waters of Noah to Me; for as I swore to refrain from passing over the waters of Noah over the earth again, so I have sworn from being and with you and rebuking you. ¹⁰ For the mountains shall depart and the hills be removed, but My mercy shall not depart from you; nor shall the covenant of My peace be removed, says Jehovah who has pity on you. ¹¹ Afflicted one, storm tossed and not comforted! Behold, I stretch out your stones among antimony, and lay your foundations with sapphires. ¹² And I will make your battlements of ruby, and your gates carbuncle stones, and all your borders pleasing stones; ¹³ and all your sons will be taught of Jehovah; and the peace of your sons will be great. ¹⁴ You shall be established in righteousness; you shall be far from oppression, for you shall not fear; and from terror, for it shall not come near you. ¹⁵ Behold, they shall surely gather, but not from Me. Who has gathered against you? By you he shall fall. ¹⁶ Behold, I have created the smith who blows the coal in the fire, and who brings out a weapon for his work; and I have created the waster to destroy. ¹⁷ Every weapon formed against you shall not prosper, and every tongue that shall rise against you in judgment, you shall condemn. This is the inheritance of the servants of Jehovah, and their righteousness is from Me, says Jehovah.

⁶ In His days Judah shall be saved, and Israel shall dwell safely. And this is His name by which He shall be called, Jehovah our Righteousness.

⁹ but they shall serve Jehovah their God, and David their king, whom I will raise up to them. ¹⁰ And you, O My servant Jacob, do not fear, says Jehovah. Do not be terrified, O Israel. For, lo, I will save you from afar, and your seed from the land of their captivity. And Jacob shall return, and have quiet, and be untroubled, and no one will make him afraid. ¹¹ For I am with you, says Jehovah, to save you. Though I make a full end among all nations where I have scattered you, yet I will not make a full end with you. But I will correct you justly, and I will not leave you unpunished.

³⁷ Behold, I will gather them out of all the lands, there where I have driven them in My anger, and in My fury, and in great indignation. And I will bring them again to this place, and I will cause them to live in safety.

²⁶ And they shall dwell in it securely and shall build houses and plant vineyards. Yes, they shall dwell securely, when I have done judgments on all those who hate them round about them. And they shall know that I am Jehovah their God.

²⁵ And I will cut a covenant of peace with them and make evil beasts cease out of the land. And they shall live in the wilderness securely and sleep in the forests.

²⁸ And they shall not any more be a prey to the nations, and the beast of the land shall not eat them. But they shall live securely, and no one shall terrify them .

⁸ After many days you shall be visited. In the after years you shall come into the land turned back from the sword, gathered out of many peoples, on the mountains of Israel which have been for a continual waste. But he has been brought out of the peoples, and they shall dwell securely, all of them.

⁹ Rejoice greatly, O daughter of Zion! Shout, O daughter of Jerusalem! Behold, your King comes to you! He is righteous and victorious, lowly, and riding on an ass, even on a colt, the son of an ass. ¹⁰ And I Will cut off the chariot from Ephraim and the horse from Jerusalem. And the battle bow shall be cut off, and He shall speak peace to the nations. And His dominion shall be from sea to sea, and from the River to the ends of the earth.

⁷⁴ to give to us, that we being delivered out of our enemies' hand, in order to serve Him without fear,

⁸ The one practicing sin is of the Devil, because the Devil sins from the beginning. For this the Son of God was revealed, that He undo the works of the Devil.

⁴ As for Me, behold, My covenant is with you, and you shall be a father of many nations. ⁵ And your name no longer shall be Abram; but your name shall be Abraham; for I have made you a father of many nations. ⁶ And I will make you very fruitful, exceedingly. And I will give you for nations. And kings shall come out of you. ⁷ And I will establish My covenant between Me and you, and your seed after you in their generations, for an everlasting covenant, to be a God to you and to your seed after you. ⁸ And I will give to you and to your seed after you the land of your sojourning, all the land of Canaan, for an everlasting possession and I will be their God. ⁹ And God said to Abraham, You shall keep My covenant, you and your seed after you in their generations.

⁴² then I will remember My covenant with Jacob; and also My covenant with Isaac; and I shall also remember My covenant with Abraham, and I shall remember the land.

⁴⁵ He remembered His covenant for them, and breathed a sigh, according to His many mercies.

⁵ He has given food to those who fear Him; He will always remember His covenant.

⁸ And I passed by you, and I looked on you, and, behold, your time was the time of love. And I spread My skirt over you and covered your nakedness. And I swore to you and entered into a covenant with you, declares the Lord Jehovah. And you became Mine.

⁶⁰ But I will remember My covenant with you in the days of your youth, and I will raise up to you an everlasting covenant.

⁵⁴ He helped His servant Israel in order to remember mercy, ⁵⁵ even as He spoke to our fathers, to Abraham, and to his seed forever.

²⁵ You are sons of the prophets and of the covenant which God appointed to our fathers, saying to Abraham, "Even in your Seed all the families of the earth shall be blessed." Gen. 22:18 ²⁶ Having raised up His child Jesus, God sent Him first to you, blessing you in turning away each one from your iniquities.

²⁸ Indeed, as regards the gospel, enemies for you, but as regards the election, beloved for the sake of the fathers.

¹⁵ Brothers, I speak according to man, a covenant having been ratified, even among mankind, no one sets aside or adds to it .

¹³ For God having made promise to Abraham, since He had no greater to swear by, " He swore by Himself," ¹⁴ saying, "Surely blessing I will bless you, and multiplying I will multiply you." Gen. 22:16, 17 ¹⁵ And so, being long-suffering, he obtained the promise. ¹⁶ For men indeed swear by the greater, and an oath to make things sure is to them the end of all gainsaying. ¹⁷ In which way, desiring to more fully declare to the heirs of the promise the unchangeableness of His counsel, God interposed by an oath, ¹⁸ that through two unchangeable things, in which it was not possible for God to lie, we might have a strong consolation, those having fled to lay hold on the hope set before us,

¹⁶ And He said, I have sworn by Myself, declares Jehovah, that on account of this thing you have done, and not have withheld your son, your only son, ¹⁷ that blessing I will bless you, and multiplying I will multiply your seed as the stars of the heavens, and as the sand which is on the shore of the sea. And your Seed shall possess the gate of His enemies. ¹⁸ And in your Seed shall all the nations of the earth be blessed because you have obeyed My voice.

⁷ Jehovah, God of Heaven, who took me from the house of my father and from the land of my birth, and who spoke to me, and who swore to me, saying, I will give this land to your Seed; He shall send His Angel before you, and you shall take a wife from there for my son.

³ Stay in this land, and I will be with you and bless you, for to you and to your seed I will give all these lands. And I will cause to rise My oath which I swore to your father Abraham.

⁸ But because Jehovah loved you, and because He kept the oath which He swore to your fathers, Jehovah has caused you to go out with a strong hand, and redeemed you from the house of slaves, from the hand of Pharaoh king of Egypt.

¹² And it shall be, because you hear judgments, and keep and do them, even Jehovah your God will keep with you the covenant and the mercy which He swore to your fathers.

⁹ which He cut with Abraham, and His oath to Isaac;

⁵ in order to establish the oath which I swore to your fathers, to give them a land flowing with milk and honey, as it is this day. Then I answered and said, Amen, O Jehovah.

⁹ No lion shall be there; and no violent beast shall go up on it; it shall not be found there. But redeemed ones shall walk there. ¹⁰ And the ransomed of Jehovah shall return and enter Zion, with singing and everlasting joy on their head; gladness and joy shall reach them; and sorrow and sighing shall flee.

¹⁷ Israel is saved in Jehovah with everlasting salvation. You shall not be ashamed nor disgraced to the forevers of eternity.

¹³ and all your sons will be taught of Jehovah; and the peace of your sons will be great. ¹⁴ You shall be established in righteousness; you shall be far from oppression, for you shall not fear; and from terror, for it shall not come near you.

²¹ And they shall build houses and live in them; and they shall plant vineyards and eat their fruit. ²² They shall not build, and another live in them; they shall not plant, and another eat. For like the days of the tree are the days of My people; and My elect shall grow old to the work of their hands. ²³ They shall not labor in vain, nor bring forth for terror. For they are the seed of the beloved ones of Jehovah, and their offspring with them. ²⁴ And it will be, before they call, I will answer. While they are speaking, then I will hear. ²⁵ The wolf and the lamb shall feed as one; and the lion shall eat straw like the ox. And dust is the food of the snake. They shall not do evil nor destroy in all My holy mountain, says Jehovah.

²⁵ And I will cut a covenant of peace with them and make evil beasts cease out of the land. And they shall live in the wilderness securely and sleep in the forests. ²⁶ And I will make them and the places around My hill a blessing. And I will bring down the shower in its season, there shall be showers of blessing. ²⁷ And the tree of the field shall yield its fruit, and the earth shall yield its increase. And they shall be securely on their land. And they shall know that I am Jehovah when I have broken the staffs of their yoke, and have rescued them from the hand of those who enslaved them. ²⁸ And they shall not any more be a prey to the nations, and the beast of the land shall not eat them. But they shall live securely, and no one shall terrify them .

²⁸ then they shall know that I am Jehovah their God who exiled them among the nations. But I have gathered them to their own land and have not left any of them there. ²⁹ And I will not any more hide My face from them, for I have poured out My Spirit on the house of Israel, declares the Lord Jehovah.

⁸ And I will camp around My house because of an army, because of him who passed by, and because of him who returns. And no tyrant shall pass through them any more. For now I have seen with My eyes.

⁷¹ Salvation from our enemies, and from the hand of all those hating us,

²² But now being set free from sin, and being enslaved to God, you have your fruit unto sanctification, and the end everlasting life.

¹⁵ For you did not receive a spirit of slavery again to fear, but you received a Spirit of adoption by which we cry, Abba! Father!

⁷ For God did not give a spirit of cowardice to us, but of power and of love, and of self-control.

¹⁵ and might set these free, as many as by fear of death were subject to slavery through all the time to live.

¹⁴ by how much more the blood of Christ (who through the eternal Spirit offered Himself without blemish to God), will purify your conscience from dead works for the serving of the living God!

¹⁰ Do not at all fear what you are about to suffer. Behold, the Devil is about to throw you into prison, so that you may be tried; and you will have affliction ten days. Be faithful until death, and I will give you the crown of life.

² that you might fear Jehovah your God, to keep all His statutes and His commandments which I command you; you, and your son, and your sons' son, all the days of your life; and that your days may be prolonged.

⁴⁴ And He gave to them the lands of the nations; and they inherited the labor of the peoples; ⁴⁵ so that they might observe His statutes and keep His laws. Praise Jehovah!

³³ But this shall be the covenant that I will cut with the house of Israel: After those days, declares Jehovah, I will put My law in their inward parts, and I will write it on their hearts; and I will be their God, and they shall be My people. ³⁴ And they shall no longer each man teach his neighbor, and each man his brother, saying, Know Jehovah. For they shall all know Me, from the least of them even to the greatest of them, declares Jehovah. For I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sins no more.

³⁹ And I will give them one heart and one way, that they may fear Me all the days, for good to them and to their sons after them. ⁴⁰ And I will cut an everlasting covenant with them, that I will not turn away from them, to do good to them. But I will put My fear in their heart, that they shall not depart from Me.

²⁴ For I will take you from the nations and gather you out of all the lands and bring you into your land. ²⁵ Then I will sprinkle clean waters on you, and you shall be clean. I will cleanse you from all your defilement and from all your idols. ²⁶ And I will also give you a new heart, and I will put a new spirit within you. And I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give to you a heart of flesh. ²⁷ And I will put My Spirit within you and cause you to walk in My statutes, and you shall keep My judgments and do them .

⁴ according as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, for us to be holy and without blemish before Him in love,

¹⁰ for we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God before prepared that we should walk in them.

²⁴ and to put on the new man, which according to God was created in righteousness and true holiness.

¹ For the rest, then brothers, we beg you and we exhort in the Lord Jesus, even as you received from us how you ought to walk and to please God, that you abound more.

⁷ For God did not call us to impurity, but in sanctification.

¹³ But we ought to thank God always concerning you, brothers, beloved by the Lord, because God chose you from the beginning to salvation in sanctification of the Spirit and belief of the truth,

⁹ He having saved us and having called us with a holy calling, not according to our works, but according to His own purpose and grace given to us in Christ Jesus before eternal times,

¹⁴ as children of obedience, not fashioning yourselves to your former lusts in your ignorance, ¹⁵ but according to the Holy One who has called you, you also become holy in all conduct; ¹⁶ because it has been written, "Be holy," "because I am holy." Lev. 19:2

⁴ by which means He has given to us the very great and precious promises, so that through these you might be partakers of the divine nature, escaping from the corruption in the world by lust. ⁵ But also in this very thing, bringing in all diligence, filling in your faith with virtue; and virtue with knowledge; ⁶ and knowledge with self-control; and self-control with patience; and patience with godliness; ⁷ and godliness with brotherly love; and brotherly love with love. ⁸ For these things being in you, and abounding, they will make you not idle, not unfruitful in the full knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.

⁵ And it shall be said to Zion, This man and that man was born in her; and the Highest Himself shall establish her.

⁵ Behold, I am sending you Elijah the prophet before the coming of the great and dreadful day of Jehovah.

³ For this is he spoken of by Isaiah the prophet, saying: "The voice of one crying in the wilderness: Prepare the way of the Lord! Make His paths straight!" Isa. 40:3

⁹ But what did you go out to see? A prophet? Yes, I say to you, and one more excellent than a prophet. ¹⁰ For this is the one about whom it has been written: "Behold, I send My messenger before Your face, who shall prepare Your way before You." Mal. 3:1

⁵ And desiring to kill him, he feared the multitude, because they held him as a prophet.

²⁶ But if we should say, From men, we fear the people. For all hold John to be a prophet.

² as it has been written in the Prophets, "Behold, I send My messenger before Your face, who will prepare Your way before You; ³ the voice of one crying in the wilderness. Prepare the way of the Lord, make His paths straight." Mal. 3:1; Isa. 40:3

³² But if we say, From men, they feared the people. For all held that John really was a prophet.

¹⁶ And he will turn many of the sons of Israel to the Lord their God. ¹⁷ And he will go out before Him in the spirit and power of Elijah "to turn the hearts of fathers to their children," and disobedient ones to the wisdom of the just, to make ready a people having been prepared for the Lord. Mal. 4:5, 6

³² This One will be great and will be called Son of the Most High. And the Lord God will give Him the throne of His father David.

⁴ as it has been written in the roll of the words of Isaiah the prophet, saying: " the voice of one crying in the wilderness, Prepare the way of the Lord, make His paths straight. ⁵ every valley shall be filled up, and every mountain and hill shall be made low; and the crooked places shall be made into straight, and the rough into smooth ways;" ⁶ "and all flesh shall see the salvation of God." Isa. 40:35

²⁷ This is he about whom it has been written: "Behold, I send My messenger" before Your face, who "will prepare Your way before You." Mal. 3:1 ²⁸ For I say to you, Among those born of a woman, no prophet is greater than John the Baptist. But the least one in the kingdom of God is greater than he is.

²³ He said, "I am a voice crying in the wilderness:" "Make straight" "the way of the Lord," as Isaiah the prophet said. Isa. 40:3

²⁷ This One it is who has come after me, who has been before me, of whom I am not worthy that I should loose the thong of His sandal.

²⁴ John going before to proclaim before the face of His entrance a baptism of repentance to all the people of Israel. ²⁵ And as John fulfilled the course, he said, Whom do you suppose me to be? I am not He, but, behold, "He comes after me, of whom I am not worthy to loosen the sandal of His feet." John 1:27

³⁴ And they shall no longer each man teach his neighbor, and each man his brother, saying, Know Jehovah. For they shall all know Me, from the least of them even to the greatest of them, declares Jehovah. For I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sins no more.

³ the voice of one crying in the wilderness. Prepare the way of the Lord, make His paths straight." Mal. 3:1; Isa. 40:3 ⁴ John came baptizing in the wilderness and proclaiming a baptism of repentance for remission of sins.

³ And he came into the neighborhood of the Jordan proclaiming a baptism of repentance for remission of sins,

⁶ "and all flesh shall see the salvation of God." Isa. 40:35

⁴⁷ For this reason I say to you, her many sins are forgiven, for she loved much. But to whom little is forgiven, he loves little. ⁴⁸ And He said to her, Your sins are forgiven. ⁴⁹ And those reclining with Him began to say within themselves, Who is this who even forgives sins? ⁵⁰ But He said to the woman, Your faith has saved you. Go in peace.

⁷ He came for a witness, that he might witness concerning the Light, that all might believe through Him. ⁸ He was not that Light, but that he might witness concerning the Light. ⁹ He was the true Light; He enlightens every man coming into the world.

¹⁵ John witnesses concerning Him, and has cried out, saying, This One was He of whom I said, He coming after me has been before me, for He was preceding me. ¹⁶ And out of His fullness we all received, and grace on top of grace. ¹⁷ For the Law was given through Moses, but grace and truth came through Jesus Christ.

²⁹ On the morrow, John sees Jesus coming toward him and said, Behold! The Lamb of God, taking away the sin of the world!

²⁷ John answered and said, A man is able to receive nothing unless it has been given to him from Heaven. ²⁸ You yourselves witness to me that I said, I am not the Christ, but that having been sent, I am going before that One. ²⁹ The one having the bride is the bridegroom. But the friend of the bridegroom, standing and hearing him, rejoices with joy because of the bridegroom's voice. Then this my joy has been fulfilled. ³⁰ That One must increase, but I must decrease. ³¹ The One coming from above is above all. The one being of the earth is earthy, and speaks of the earth. The One coming out of Heaven is above all. ³² And what He has seen and heard, this He testifies, and no one receives His testimony. ³³ The one receiving His testimony has sealed that God is true. ³⁴ For the One whom God sent speaks the words of God, for God does not give the Spirit by measure.

³⁸ And Peter said to them, Repent and be baptized, each of you on the name of Jesus Christ to remission of sins. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.

¹⁹ Therefore, repent, and convert, for the blotting out of your sins, so that times of refreshing may come from the face of the Lord,

³¹ This One God has exalted as a Ruler and Savior to His right hand, to give to Israel repentance and remission of sins.

⁴³ To this One all the Prophets witness, so that through His name everyone believing into Him will receive remission of sins.

³⁸ Then let it be known to you, men, brothers, that through this One remission of sin is announced to you. ³⁹ And everyone believing in this One is justified from all things which you could not be justified by the Law of Moses.

⁴ And Paul said, John indeed baptized with a baptism of repentance, saying to the people that they should believe into the One coming after him, that is, into the Christ, Jesus.

²⁵ whom God set forth as a propitiation through faith in His blood, for a showing forth of His righteousness through the passing by of the sins that had taken place before, in the forbearance of God,

⁶ Even as also David says of the blessedness of the man to whom God counts righteousness apart from works: ⁷ "Blessed are those whose lawlessnesses are forgiven, and whose sins are covered; ⁸ blessed the man to whom the Lord will in no way charge sin." LXX-Psa. 31:1, 2; MT-Psa. 32:1, 2

¹⁷ I shall see him, but not now; I shall behold him, but not near. A star shall come forth out of Jacob, and a scepter shall rise out of Israel and shall dash the corners of Moab, and break down all the sons of tumult.

⁶ Remember, O Jehovah, Your compassions and Your mercies; for they are from eternity.

¹ And a Shoot goes out from the stump of Jesse, and a Branch will bear fruit out of his roots.

⁷ I will mention the mercies of Jehovah, the praises of Jehovah, according to all that Jehovah has benefited us, and the great good to the house of Israel, by which He benefited them according to His mercies, and according to the multitude of His loving-kindness.

¹⁵ Look down from Heaven and peer from the place of Your holiness and your glory. Where is Your zeal and Your might? The stirring of Your affections and Your mercies toward me, are they held back?

⁸ Hear now, O Joshua the high priest, you and your associates who are sitting before you; for they are men of symbol.

¹² And speak to him, saying, So says Jehovah of hosts, saying, Behold! The Man whose name is THE BRANCH! And He shall spring up out of His place, and He shall build the temple of Jehovah.

² But to you who fear My name, the Sun of Righteousness shall rise up, and healing will be on His wings. And you shall go out and frisk like calves of the stall.

¹⁶ For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that everyone believing into Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

⁴ But God, being rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, ⁵ even we being dead in sins, He made us alive together with Christ (by grace you are being saved),

¹⁴ Because of this, He says, Arise, sleeping ones and stand up out of the dead ones, and Christ will shine on you. No OT passage

⁸ For God is my witness how I long after you all in the bowels of Jesus Christ.

¹ Then if there is any comfort in Christ, if any consolation of love, if any fellowship of the Spirit, if any tendernesses and compassions,

¹² Then put on as the elect of God, holy and beloved, tender feelings of compassions, kindness, humility, meekness, long-suffering,

¹⁹ and we have the more established prophetic word, in which you do well to take heed, as to a lamp shining in a murky place, until day dawns and the Day-star rises in your hearts;

¹⁷ Whoever has the means of life of the world, and sees his brother having need, and shuts up his bowels from him, how does the love of God abide in him?

⁹ By this the love of God was revealed in us, because His Son, the Only begotten, God has sent into the world that we might live through Him. ¹⁰ In this is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us, and sent His Son to be a propitiation relating to our sins.

⁵ Let darkness and the shadow of death seize upon it. Let a cloud dwell on it. Let all that blackens the day terrify it.

²² a land of obscurity, the darkness of the shadow of death, and without any order; even the shining is as darkness.

⁴ Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death I will fear no evil; for You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me.

⁸ Good and upright is Jehovah; therefore He will teach sinners in the way. ⁹ He will guide the meek in justice; and He will teach the meek His way. ¹⁰ All the paths of Jehovah are mercy and truth to the keepers of His covenant and His testimonies.

¹² What man is he who fears Jehovah? He teaches him the way he should choose.

¹⁹ though You have crushed us in the place of jackals and covered us over with the death-shade.

¹⁰ Mercy and truth have met together; righteousness and peace kissed each other . ¹¹ Truth shall sprout out of the earth, and righteousness looks down from Heaven. ¹² Yea, Jehovah shall give good, and our land shall give its produce. ¹³ Righteousness shall go before Him and shall make a way for His footsteps.

¹⁰ Those who live in the darkness, and in the shadow of death, being prisoners in affliction and iron,

¹⁴ He brought them out from darkness and the shadow of death; and He broke their bands apart.

¹⁷ Her ways are ways of pleasantness, and all her paths peace.

²⁰ I walk in the path of righteousness, in the midst of the paths of justice;

² The people who walk in darkness have seen a great light. The ones who dwell in the land of the shadow of death, light has shone on them.

⁷ to open blind eyes, to deliver the prisoner from the prison; those who sit in darkness from the prison.

¹⁶ And I will lead the blind by a way they knew not; I will lead them in paths they never knew; I will make darkness into light before them, and crooked places a level place. I do these things to them and do not forsake them;

¹⁷ So says Jehovah, your Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel, I am Jehovah your God, who teaches you to profit, who leads you in the way you should go.

²² There is no peace, says Jehovah, to the wicked.

⁹ to say to the prisoners, Go out! To those who are in darkness, Show yourselves! They shall feed in the ways, and their pastures shall be in all high places.

¹⁹ I create the fruit of the lips: peace, peace, to the ones far off and near, says Jehovah, and I will heal him. ²⁰ But the wicked are like the driven sea, which cannot be quiet, and its waves cast up mire and dirt. ²¹ There is no peace to the wicked, says my God.

⁸ They do not know the way of peace; and no justice is in their tracks. They have made crooked paths for themselves; everyone going in them does not know peace.

¹ Arise, shine; for your light has come, and the glory of Jehovah has risen on you! ² For behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and gross darkness the peoples. But Jehovah shall rise on you, and His glory shall be seen on you. ³ And nations shall walk to your light, and kings to the brightness of your dawning.

⁶ Nor did they say, Where is Jehovah who brought us up out of the land of Egypt, who led us in the wilderness, in a land of deserts and of pits, in a dry land and death shade, in a land that no man has passed through, and not a man has lived there?

¹⁶ So says Jehovah, Stand by the ways and see, and ask for the old paths, where the good way is, and walk in it; and you shall find rest for your souls. But they said, We will not walk in it .

¹⁶ the people sitting in the darkness saw a great Light; and to those sitting in the region and shadow of death, Light sprang up to them." Isa. 9:1, 2

²⁸ Come to Me, all those laboring and being burdened, and I will give you rest. ²⁹ Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, because I am meek and lowly in heart, "and you will find rest to your souls." Jer. 6:16

³² a Light for revelation to the nations, and the Glory of Your people Israel.

⁹ He was the true Light; He enlightens every man coming into the world.

¹² Then Jesus again spoke to them, saying, I am the Light of the world. The one following Me will in no way walk in the darkness, but will have the light of life.

⁵ While I am in the world, I am the Light of the world.

⁴⁶ I have come as a Light to the world, that everyone who believes into Me may not remain in the darkness.

¹⁸ to open their eyes, and to turn them from darkness to light, and from the authority of Satan to God, in order that they may receive remission of sins, and an inheritance among those being sanctified by faith in Me.

¹⁷ and they did not know a way of peace;

⁸ for you then were darkness, but now light in the Lord; walk as children of light.

⁴ But you, brothers, are not in darkness, that the Day should overtake you as a thief. ⁵ You are all sons of light and sons of day; we are not of night, nor of darkness.

⁵ And this is the message which we have heard from Him, and we announce to you: God is light, and no darkness is in Him, none! ⁶ If we say that we have fellowship with Him, and we walk in darkness, we lie and are not practicing the truth. ⁷ But if we walk in the light, as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of His Son Jesus Christ cleanses us from all sin.

¹⁹ And Samuel grew up, and Jehovah was with him, and did not let any of his words fall to the earth. ²⁰ And all Israel knew, from Dan even to Beersheba, that Samuel was confirmed to be a prophet to Jehovah.

¹ Now in those days John the Baptist came preaching in the wilderness of Judea,

⁷ But as these were going, Jesus began to say to the crowds about John, What did you go out into the wilderness to see? A reed being shaken with the wind?

⁵² And Jesus progressed in wisdom and stature and favor before God and men. see 1 Sam. 2:26

³¹ And I did not know Him; but that He be revealed to Israel, for this reason I came baptizing in water.
