² And the names of the twelve apostles are these: First, Simon who is called Peter and his brother Andrew, James the son of Zebedee and his brother John,

¹⁸ And walking beside the sea of Galilee, Jesus saw two brothers, Simon called Peter and his brother Andrew casting a net into the sea; for they were fishers.

²¹ And going on from there, He saw two other brothers, James the son of Zebedee and his brother John in the boat with their father Zebedee, mending their nets. And He called them.

¹⁶ And answering, Simon Peter said, You are the Christ, the Son of the living God. ¹⁷ And answering, Jesus said to him, Blessed are you, Simon, son of Jonah, for flesh and blood did not reveal it to you, but My Father in Heaven. ¹⁸ And I also say to you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build My church, and the gates of Hades will not prevail against her.

¹ And after six days, Jesus took Peter and James, and his brother John, and brought them up into a high mountain apart.

²⁰ Then the mother of the sons of Zebedee came near to Him, along with her sons, worshipping, and asking something from Him.

³⁷ And taking along Peter and the two sons of Zebedee, He began to grieve and to be deeply troubled.

¹⁶ And walking along beside the Sea of Galilee, He saw Simon and his brother Andrew casting a small net in the sea; for they were fishers. ¹⁷ And Jesus said to them, Come after Me, and I will make you to become fishers of men.

²⁹ And at once going out of the synagogue, they came into the house of Simon and Andrew, with James and John.

¹⁶ And He put on Simon the name Peter. ¹⁷ And on James the son of Zebedee, and John the brother of James, He put on them the names Boanerges, which is, Sons of Thunder. ¹⁸ Also He appointed Andrew, and Philip, and Bartholomew, and Matthew, and Thomas, and James the son of Alpheus, and Thaddaeus, and Simon the Canaanite, ¹⁹ and Judas Iscariot, who also betrayed Him. And He came into a house.

³ And as He was sitting in the Mount of Olives opposite the temple, Peter and James and John and Andrew questioned Him privately:

¹⁰ and in the same way also, James and John, the sons of Zebedee, who were partners with Simon. And Jesus said to Simon, Do not fear. From now on you will be taking men alive.

¹³ And when it became day, He called His disciples, also choosing out twelve from them, whom He also named apostles: ¹⁴ Simon, whom He also named Peter; and his brother Andrew; James and John; Philip and Bartholomew; ¹⁵ Matthew and Thomas; James the son of Alpheus, and Simon, the one being called Zealot; ¹⁶ Judas brother of James; and Judas Iscariot, who also became the betrayer.

¹⁰ And returning, the apostles told Him what things they did. And taking them He went out privately to a deserted place of a city called Bethsaida.

⁴⁹ And because of this, the wisdom of God said, I will send prophets and apostles to them, and they will kill and drive out some of them,

⁸ And He sent Peter and John, saying, Going, prepare for us the passover, that we may eat.

¹⁴ And when the hour came, He reclined, and the twelve apostles with Him.

⁴⁰ Andrew the brother of Simon Peter was one of the two who heard from John and was following Him. ⁴¹ This one first found his own brother Simon and tells him, We have found the Messiah (which being translated is, the Christ). ⁴² And he led him to Jesus. And looking at him, Jesus said, You are Simon the son of Jonah; you shall be called Cephas (which translated is Peter).

⁸ One of His disciples said to Him, Andrew the brother of Simon Peter,

²² Philip came and told Andrew, and again Andrew and Philip told Jesus.

²³ But there was one of His disciples reclining at the bosom of Jesus, whom Jesus loved.

² Then she ran and came to Simon Peter, and to the other disciple whom Jesus loved, and said to them, They took away the Lord out of the tomb, and we do not know where they laid Him.

² Simon Peter, and Thomas, being called The Twin, and Nathanael from Cana of Galilee, and the sons of Zebedee, and two others of His disciples were together.

²⁰ But turning, Peter saw the disciple whom Jesus loved following them, who also leaned on His breast at the Supper, and said, Lord, who is the one betraying You?

²⁴ This is the disciple witnessing about these other things, writing these things, and we know that his witness is true.

¹³ And when they went in, they went up to the upper room where they were waiting: both Peter and James, and John and Andrew, Philip and Thomas, Bartholomew and Matthew, James the son of Alpheus and Simon the Zealot, and Judas the brother of James.

²⁶ And they gave their lots. And the lot fell on Matthias; and he was numbered with the eleven apostles.

¹ And Peter and John were going up on the same day into the temple at the hour of prayer, the ninth.

² And with a sword he did away with James the brother of John.

⁷ Then He was seen by James, then by all the apostles;

¹¹ And indeed He gave some to be apostles; and some prophets; and some evangelists; and some pastors and teachers;

¹ For this reason, holy brothers, called to be partakers of a heavenly calling, consider the Apostle and High Priest of our confession, Christ Jesus,

¹ Peter, an apostle of Jesus Christ, to the elect sojourners of the dispersion of Pontus, of Galatia, of Cappadocia, of Asia, and of Bithynia,

¹ Simon Peter, a slave and apostle of Jesus Christ, to those equally precious with us, having obtained faith in the righteousness of our God and our Savior, Jesus Christ:

³ We announce to you what we have seen, and what we have heard, that you also may have fellowship with us. And truly our fellowship is with the Father and with His Son, Jesus Christ. ⁴ And we write these things to you, that your joy may be full.

¹ The elder to the elect lady and her children, whom I love in truth; and not I only, but also all those who have known the truth,

¹ The elder to Gaius the beloved, whom I love in truth.

¹ A Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave to Him to show to His slaves things which must occur quickly. And He signified by sending through His angel to His slave, John,

⁹ I, even your brother John, and co-sharer in the affliction, and in the kingdom and patience of Jesus Christ, came to be in the island being called Patmos because of the Word of God, and because of the witness of Jesus Christ.

²⁰ Rejoice over her, Heaven, and the holy apostles, and the prophets, because God judged your judgment on her.

⁸ And I, John, was the one seeing and hearing these things. And when I heard and saw, I fell down to worship before the feet of the angel showing me these things.
