¹⁶ then let those in Judea flee on the mountains;

¹⁵ And when the dawn rose, then the angels urged Lot, saying, Rise up, take your wife and your two daughters who are found, lest you be cut off in the depravity of the city. ¹⁶ And he lingered. And the men lay hold of his hand and his wife's hand, and on the hand of his two daughters, Jehovah having mercy on him. And they caused him to go out, and they put him down outside the city. ¹⁷ And it happened as they led them outside, he said, Escape for your life! Do not look behind you, and do not stay in all the plain. Escape to the mountain, lest you be swept away.

²⁰ Of the servants of Pharaoh, the one who feared the word of Jehovah made his slaves and his livestock flee to the houses. ²¹ And the one who did not set his heart on the word of Jehovah left his slaves and his livestock in the field.

³ A sensible one sees the evil and hides himself, but the simple go on and are punished.

¹ O sons of Benjamin take refuge to flee out of the midst of Jerusalem. And blow the ram's horn in Tekoa; and set up a signal over Beth-haccerem. For evil appears out of the north, and great destruction.

¹¹ And it happened, when the army of the Chaldeans departed from Jerusalem because of Pharaoh's army, ¹² then Jeremiah went out of Jerusalem, to go into the land of Benjamin to receive a portion from there in the midst of the people.
